I took my car in for a diagnostic because the check engine light was on. It was a pleasurable experience. Dropped the car off by 8:30 it was ready by 1pm. He advised that I only needed a gas cap. No upcharge. No trying to find something wrong to bill me for. As a female thats important. He did offer the option of him ordering one or me getting one myself and explained that it was cheaper for me to do it. I like having options.

Took them several weeks to fix my car which the part was under warranty. Charge outrageous amount for labor to receive my car my radio was missing and ants in my car.There response was I have to do a police report.Don’t waste your time or money.

I have had plenty of work done from them, all I keep asking them is to stop the leaks .I have brought my car back n forth to northside dr location,they will have my truck for a long time and the same problem still going on whenever I get it back...now my belt broke the very next day after I got it back this last time and I have called to let them know and now it seems like they dont want to fix the problem..I really feel like someone did something to it because of the last time I kept calling and stopping by wondering when was they going to be finished with my truck....had my truck for almost 3 1/2 ...4 weeks....and its still leaking in the same places and the leaks are cause my pipes to be no good..There is no manager for me to speak with Im about to call my lawyer soon...Im so foreal

Do not go here and waste your time they lie told me its free inspection got there its dam near 80 just to look at it but advertising on websites and say its free inspection

Long story short... I brought my vehicle in for a valve replacement. But, rather than wasting my time and money, I was advised that a valve replacement was unnecessary. My vehicle needed a whole new engine. And, to my surprise, I wasnt charged for the diagnosis or compression test. Greatly appreciated!

I Needed A Damaged Bearing Removed From From A Spindle, everywhere else I called refused to do it, but when I called AAMCO East Point location they agreed to do for me for a very good price. Removing bearing and pressing new one into it.. THANK YOU SO MUCH

The guys at AAMCO East Point are awesome. I took my 2011 Chevy Impala to another repair shop and was told the transmission needed to be replaced or rebuilt. Wanting to get a second opinion before I paid $3000, I took my car and left it with Greg at AAMCO. He explained they were busy and would need about 24 hours before the car could be looked at. Greg called me the next day and explained my transmission in fact, didnt need to be replaced. It got low on fluid because it was leaking from an axle seal. Once the leak was fixed and fluid got topped off, the car shifted normally again. I saved about $2850!! Wont be going to any other repair shops in the future, except AAMCO in East Point

The pros: Free diagnostic.The con: The diagnostic was wrong.I took my car to aamco in east point to get another opinion on a abs light and tac light thats stays on all the time. I also wanted to have the transmission check out and fluid changed. They said that the brand new hub bearing with speed sensor that i had replaced 6 weeks ago was bad and they wanted double what i had paid the last time to replace it. When I ask for a guarantee that replacing the hub bearing speed sensor would fix my problem they refused. They also suggested that i shouldnt change the transmission fluid because it could cause me more transmission problems. Needless to say i decline their service and picked up my car asap! I finally found a quality mechanic to check out my car and now my car is repaired! It wasnt anything wrong with the brand new hub bearing with speed sensor that they claim was defective and wanted to charge me close to $600 to change. It was the wire harness that was damaged which cost me $150 to repair. Now i on longer have a abs light problem. I also had my transmission fluid changed and now my transmission is shifting much smoother. Very happy i didnt allow ammco to service my car.

I woke up this morning on my way to work and my car wouldn’t start so I call AAA to give me a jump on my vehicle. I stop at the gas and my car wouldn’t start back up, I got online and search the nearest AAMCO in East Point G.A. I spoke with Ms. Gg at the front desk, she was nice, kind, and respectful & explained to me that my car may not be seen today but I can still bring it in and they would take a look at it Monday. 5 mins later I receive call from the owner Mr. Greg letting him know the issue I was having with my car. He immediately told me to bring it in and he will take a look at it & get me back on the road. When I got there everyone had a great spirit and I was acknowledged walking into the door with a smile. I also had favor in God that the issue wasn’t bad. Mr. Warren took my car to the back and minutes later he came back and said that the problem was fixed and I was GOOD TO GO. Overall, very good. I called in the morning and they said they could see my vehicle. I dropped my Mazda 5 off about 10:45 and initially was told it would be about 20 minutes to look at my brakes, but that took over an hour. However, the work was completed by 3:30 (only an hour after the estimated finish time) and they gave me a little discount due to the delays! Very competitive price even before the discount. Very nice, helpful office staff. I would recommend asking if they will call when the work is done. We had a small miscommunication about that. This location is about 2 blocks from a big park and little restaraunt/ice cream parlor/lotto place, so its pretty easy to entertain yourself and a kid for a few hours if need be. My car is running and now stopping the way it should.

Greetings to the people of east point AAmco I picked up my 03 Expedition today and it’s feels wonderful!! I had my transmission rebuilt out of state a few months back and it never felt right. I brought it to east point aamco and I had pleasure of speak with the owner and his lovely wife and I explained to how the transmission drove horrible I dropped truck off a about four days later it feels brand new.I kid you not I Felt a little skeptical at first 🤨 but WAS I WRONG they took care of me with no hesitation and I am forever great full. I recommend you bring you vehicle to East Point AAMCO you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for the great work.

I would avoid this service center at all costs. Completely unprofessional and will try to take advantage of you at every turn. Took my crv in to because the check engine light was on. Before taking my car in for service I had the diagnostics ran at an autozone and O Reilly’s just so I could be somewhat sure of the work that needed to be done. I shared the check engine codes(misfire in cylinder) with AAMCO when I dropped it off.After leaving my car with them for two days with no phone call or any update I finally gave the a call. Someone gave me the run around about not having enough time for the diagnostician to check out my check engine light. Shortly after that call they called back telling me what I had a misfire in a cylinder which is exactly what I told them when I dropped it off.So they give me an estimate for a repair which I agreed too. But not even half a day later someone from the shop called me and told me that they forgot to include something in the estimate, which I thought was completely unprofessional.Fast forward and I pick up my car a few days later. And the very next morning to my surprise, the check engine light comes on!! I drop it back off to the shop the same day. A whole week passes with no contact from the shop!! I give them a call and all of a sudden I need a new engine. Which is information that they claim to have a found out days prior to me calling.Long story short I will be devoting all my free time and resources to keeping others away from the crooked business. Have already started the process to get the better business bureau, Fox 5 i team, Clark Howell, and anyone else who may warn other about this horrible place.

Most helpful auto shop in East Point. Staff goes out of their way to assist you and save you money. Ive been going here for years. They are the only place I trust with my 93 Acura Legend. Any time Ive gone elsewhere, Ive regretted it.Dont forget, they give free estimates! That alone should be enough to get you in the door...you save $99.00 right on the spot!

I took my car here for a new transmission. Exactly 1 year and 1 day after the warranty expired (how convenient) the transmission fails. I took it somewhere else and I was told they put in a faulty transmission. I paid for a brand new transmission and it breaks down in a year! No apology or offer on fixing it was given to me.

I needed my front wheel bearings replaced so I took my car to them to have it done. BAD NEWS!!! I was told not to take my car to them and should have listened. After getting my car back it now vibrates when I hit 65 mph. I took my car back and told them what was happening and the mechanic left early due to food poisoning. I went back 2 days later and the mechanic said come back when its not raining. I went again the next day and he was out to lunch and I was told to come back in an hour. I returned an hour later and ironically he doesnt have time to check it. WHAT A JOKE OF A BUSINESS!! Is this how you treat your customers? Needless to say I will NEVER do business with them again! Ill go to a more reputable business next time.

I went to this shop to get them to look at my 2000 dodge durango it was sticking in park. They said it was one thing and that was not it so i go back then was something else so i plaid for that and that was not it .so im out of a lol over $700. And still have the same problem. Now they say i need a transmission. I will never go back there .i will say that mrs geegee is a sweetheart and very nice .the owner just take the word of his guys in the back .I fill that the owner need to know how to fix cars to and understand what is going on

I cant say enough about how well me and my 2001 Maxima have been treated at this facility. Each time Ive taken my car in for repairs, Ive come away feeling like I was treated fairly and received high quality work. Its not easy trusting a car repair shop as a woman. I have been other places where the mechanics talked over my head and I just knew I was gonna end up paying for something that I didnt necessarily need. Laymon Scullark, the center manager, and all of the other staff take their time to explain exactly what you need and why. I will continue to use them for my automotive care and recommend them highly to friends and family.

I recently had an issue with my 1995 manual Nissan pickup. What I thought to be an issue with my clutch turned out to be my transmission. They were able to diagnose the problem the same day that I dropped it off. The center manager, Laymon was very helpful as well as the entire staff. They had no problem with explaining and showing me the problem that was occurring inside of my transmission. The center manager was also very understandable as well as reasonable with pricing on the needed repairs and cost. Once the repairs were made, I had a slight issue with the vehicle not remaining engaged in 5th gear. I contacted Laymon, he instructed me to bring the vehicle by if the problem persist, which I soon did. The truck was left for inspection and repair. The repairs/adjustments were made in a timely manner, my truck was ready for pick up and functioning just as good as new with in a day or two. I would recommend the East Point AAMCO to anyone who wants quality and warrantied repairs as well as good customer service, they stand by their word and you wont be disappointed. Thank you Laymon and the entire East Point AAMCO staff!!!

I was told it would cost about 21.00 a piece for the 8 screws I needed. He ordered them from Ellis audi in Norcross Georgia. they could not deliver. When I got there. I spoke to a Dave in the parts department. The price was differen then what I was being charged so I asked and was told they only charge 9.90 Dave said he gave the price but for some reason the aamoco manager was fishing for a higher price. When I went back the manager apoligized and promised to refund me the difference he never did. I had a car issue about four months later. So I went back to Aamoco hoping 1) I could get the promised refund as partial payment. I was told by Robert the new manager that Laymon was no longer there. I explained they had worked on my car before what happened. Once inspection was completed.The car needed a Housing outlet Robert called Orielly part store. He gave me a price of 179.00. By the way I had already called to check since what happened before. I told him it was high. So he called again and the price went higher. So he then stated the price was 259.99. I said that is incorrect the price was only 159.99. He then told me they gave me the dealers price. He persisted with that blatant lie! I said no he continued to disagree so I stated I would go pick it up and get the price I was quoted. I went to Oreillys spoke to theJose the employee who was speaking to Robert. He told me the price was 159.99. I questioned him about the higher price and he said Robert asked him for the original price. Jose said he told him that was 259.99 but that they do not charge that price to anyone. Jose said he kept saying that the 259.99 price is your normal price and the 159.99 is the dealers price right. Jose kept saying no knowing he was overcharge a customer. When Jose was on the phone with Robert I was in front of him at thats why he kept saying so I could here that. Jose did show me the dealers cost it was 129.99 and 69.99 depending on volume.Robert stated I can do what I want. Robert said he does not have to tell customers anything. I disagreed and stated you should not and cant lie to customers if your going to charge why are you lying about it. He just looked at me and again said he can do what he wants. Horrible business.

So I went to aamco because a friend googled transmission repairs near me and they said they do fre diagnostics. I was honestly hoping it was just a tune up. Come to.find out it was the transmission and I was hopeful that they would accept my warranty. Thankfully they did. Laymon, im guessing hes the store manager there was great. I dealt with him each time I called and stopped by. They answer the phones right away and get the work done quickly. Laymon helped me out tremendously and im so thankful he was the one I dealt with and recieved his hospitality. I have to take my car back in a few days for a check up but so far so good. Its running so much better now. Now I have a brand new transmission and a warranty to go with it.

I highly recommend you not bring your car into this location. Salesman was very unprofessional after having my car towed into replace transmission. After towing in he immediately ask was your credit status and how much money do you have saved in the bank. Really? After repair my car I had major issues. My car continued making noise that was not accuring before Aamco East Point Ga location worked on it. Took it back back because it is under 2 months warranty . This a used transmission that costed me $3100.00 . Same sale said I needed another problem fixed. Therfore I took my car to another professional mechanic to diagnose and fought out Aamco damaged my axles. Called this location back and they took the blame and only replaced 1 and they damaged both. Spoke with owner he was very unprofessional as well and suggested I bring my car back because it is under warranty still . Me personally dont have the faith that you are going to fix my car correctly now so Therfore I will be take legal actions to address my issues. I highly recommend you not use the private franchise Aamoco in East Point due to my previous experience.

Took my car in for transmission rebuild spent 1600.00, in the process of them rebuilding my transmission they did something to my car to cause my engine to leak oil took my car back to them several times from Dec. 2012 to Feb. 2013 the problem was never solved this shop will fix one thing and tear up something else to keep you coming back. PLEASE PLEASE check the reviews for this shop before you let them fix on your cars, This shop is not the shop to take your car to for repairs. Ill never ever do business with this shop again. Ill do my research from now on and spend my sixteen stacks somewhere else.
