Our in-ground pool had a bad leak that was flooding the backyard. Also had an additional suction leak (air bubbles) at a different spot. Rix Pool came out in good time with a crew of 4 specialists. They located the leak (damaged underground pipe), dug down and replaced the broken pipe section. They also did some plumbing upgrades at the filter, all in half a day. Very impressed with their professionalism and their efficiency.

Writing this review from Dallas TX area. When sub zero temperatures cause major pool damages I could not get parts to repair my pool as inventory thru out the Southwest was gone in a matter of days . John Magi and the rest of the Rix Pool and Spa team stepped up big time to help.. The went out of their way to get me the equipment I needed and did it quickly. They could have said no but they felt that they needed to help out someone in need even if it was 1800 miles away. I cant say enough about their service. If I lived in the Morris county area I would be a loyal customer for life. You cant find businesses that care anymore. John and his team care.

We were loosing water and getting air bubbles in our in ground pool. Rix has serviced our pool for years. They detected the problem caused by a defective collapsible pipe coming off one of our skimmers. Unfortunately, it was under our concrete Kool Deck. Rix did an excellent job neatly cutting the concrete to make the repair easier. Instead of just cutting out the damaged pipe, they replaced the entire flexible pipe with rigid pipe to prevent future problems. They did exactly what they said they would do and did it neatly, timely, and professionally. Great job!!

I had trouble with my in-ground pool all 2019 and the beginning of 2020. My local pool store was no help and I was dumping tons of money into my pool via chemical recommendations with little or no results. A family member recommended Rix Pool & Spa. I hadnt used them before as they are nearly 50 minutes away from my home. I called the store and was told to bring in a water sample. The next day I brought a sample to the store and I met a gentleman named Charley. This was the beginning of the end of all my problems. He asked all the right questions to effectively figure out what was wrong with my system. He gave me some advice about my filter and corrected some bad advice Ive been given before. I went home and followed his instructions and he was right. Ive had crystal clear water since the middle of June. I now use Rix Pool for all my needs. Thank you for giving me the best pool Ive seen in years.

They are professional and very smart

We have used RIX as our pool service company for more than 25 years. They have always responded to our needs and worked to address any problems weve had.I trust them not only to service our pool properly and accurately assess our pool water but also to provide the products and explain the steps needed to correct the water balance.

Went there to buy a pump for an inflatable pool It was a little disappointing that they only had one but the store itself seemed fine a whole bunch of good items for pools and Its very knowledgeable staff.

I have an appointment with them and I told him over the phone I need 15 minutes to get there at the house to inspect if I can open the pool this year and meanwhile I asked if I wanted to purchase a hot tub and a sauna and the delivery manager Brian cannot come out At this time I ask them if the guy still coming to check the pool Kathy think the measurement for the tub and sauna make the story short I got there I waited for 45 minutes nobody showed up I called she said the guy was outside for 25 minutes then he left meanwhile three cars parking out there No one called then She said let me send the Technician out there again I waited for another half an hour I called back someone else answered he said no no one is coming back and I have to make another appointment with all due respect people time is very important meanwhile I called Presco hot tub and they gave me a much better price and he came out to check the dimensions on the same Appointment date I think they need to have a better way of communication with the client I may be doing something different that’s all

Helen was awesome while we were shopping around, no pressure at all and a wealth of information. We decided to go with Rix because of the spa they sold and because she was so pleasant to work with. Brian and the install team went above and beyond to make sure the spa we purchased fit next to our L shaped deck perfectly. Never mind the fact that I berated him with hot tub questions while he was installing and he was very happy to answer. After our purchase weve found that whenever we have a concern or question the team at Rix is readily available to help. Which gives us a great deal of comfort with making this purchase.

The previous home owner had been using Rix Pools for a long time and I have continued using them to service our indoor pool for the past four years. The team is always polite and provides great customer service. I had the pleasure of speaking with Jim, the owner, this morning and he was happy to answer all of my questions. Their prices are reasonable and I would recommend them.

Being new pool owners having a pool was extremely intimidating but working with Rix really eliminated that feeling. From the beginning, through the weekly maintenance and to our annual pool closing they were amazing. The team at Rix answered all of our questions and never once made us feel silly about asking them. We cant wait for another summer with our pool and will be working with Rix again!

Jim and team did a great job on my installation. Even when a problem arose, they were there to help walk me through the issue and also come to repair it at no extra cost. They are extremely knowledgeable about their products and the staff are all very courteous and patient in going through their product line.

Awsome. Mike was very helpfull. They had the skimmer I needed, the skimmer cover for the old Sylvan skimmer that came with my house, the cover for the main drain in my pool. And he gave me some great advice on fixing my pool.

Dan was amazing! Was looking for a very particular part and he took his time and helped us to locate it.

Just got break checked several times by a driver who decided that he was going to dictate the rules of the road in a 45 by going 30 or slower, must be some quality employees at this place.

Service was nonexistent stop by today to pick up some DE for my filter there was three employees standing outside when I went to go in they told me because of the virus it was curbside pick up order so I asked what do I do now with the three men standing outside they said you have to call on the phone there was no lines you would think they would say what do you need but I guess they don’t Own the place and they don’t care whether they make a sale or not probably the last time I go there May 14, 2020

Rix Pool & Spa; specifically Jim Silverstein, Owner/President, are unprofessional and encroach on illegal practice.After up-selling products and services for our pool over the years, when a specific problem arose relating to one of those products rather than to be there for us to support/resolve the issue, Jim Silverstein ultimately sent this email: We elect to no longer offer any service or support for your pool care. When Rix Pool & Spa, Jim Silverstein decide that they have sucked enough blood out of you ($$$) and youre no longer worth their while, they kick you to the curb; when you needed them the most.When it came to water testing, or a vanilla pool opening/closing there was never a problem. However, when there was a bigger issue (ie: water leak from solar heating system purchased, installed and warrantied by Rix) Jim Silverstein and company used it as a reason to stop offering support and service.Rix Pool & Spa is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. There are very similar negative experiences to mine listed under the customer review section of the BBB as well as many sites such as this. I will leave a review there as well as warning so that others dont fall into the same trap I did.Please do your research and save yourself time and money and avoid Rix Pool & Spa.As a result of this ordeal I have found there are definitely better, more professional and affordable pool service companies than what Rix Pool & Spa, Owner/President Jim Silverstein have to offer.

Only issue I had is parking is really tight and there arent many spots

Most recent (and last) experience with Rix: needed a new gasket for Hayward chlorinator, was told by person that it was $25! I asked why so much, should be around $10 and was told this particular gasket was made of special rubber and that is why it costs more. Ill never go back and tell everyone to steer clear of the, their reputation in the area is awful. (Btw the gasket was $7 elsewhere)
