The man who helped me was nice. But they didn’t patch my tire correctly. I went to discount tire the following day because my tire was flat the next morning, and they told me the patch that was put in wasn’t correct. I also did not appreciate that nobody was wearing masks. Workers nor customers. Discount tire on pilot knob was professional and honest. I bought 4 tires $200 cheaper than this place. Exact same tire/specs.

Today was my first time going to Walstad Automotive and I am happy to say I will be coming back!Although I only went for an oil change, they had me in and out within a half an hour, even with 4 more cars in the garage! Plus, the price was great, especially for such a high mileage car! Mechanic looked over my car and told me what I should focus on next (just as check-up). Ive had excellent experiences with Walstads. I took my car in because the panic alarm was constantly going off for no reason. I brought it in at 5pm after work, knowing they would close soon, but they said they would still take a look and they did. They mentioned that I should probably replace both my rear and one of my front wheel bearings, which I expected because my vehicle is a bit older. I brought it in the next day for it all to be fixed. I got a call later in the afternoon and the mechanic told me he was mistaken in his estimate. He found that my vehicle was low in rear differential fluid and the rear wheel bearings were just fine, but instead both of the front wheel bearings needed to be replaced. This saved me about $300 from the original quote, which is great! Several weeks later my car was making some noise so I brought it back. They said its common for brake pad clips to come loose after replacing wheel bearings, and they adjusted them for free. This is by far the best services Ive ever had from an auto repair shop, and I highly recommend them!

I had a belt fray on my car on the highway near Walstad Auto. After speaking with them, they were able to look into the issue, get a part, suggest how I may be able to get reimbursed from the dealership if its under warranty, and get me back on the road in about an hour. I was very pleased and will definitely bring cars back there in the future.

Dave Walstad is helpful, honest, and goes out of his way to save us money. He is willing to work with us to get used parts rather than new when possible/plausible. We became dedicated customers in 1989 when we first got married. My husband had a rattling in his car that his parents had spent $250 to fix with no improvement. Dave found a loose screw somewhere in the exhaust and charged us only $8 to fix it! We have been taking all our cars to him ever since. I trust Dave. And if he fixes something but you find an issue later, just take it back and he will make it right. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Walstads was a lifesaver this week. I called on Sunday when they were closed with a dead car, the owner answered and scheduled me the next day. They diagnosed and fixed it in two days. Everyone was very kind and helpful.

I travel alot! About 150k miles a year. I used to work near them, but now I drive an hour to have my vehicles repaired because its worth the time to feel secure in the work. Ive had them do multiple repairs on several vehicles. Everyone was done quickly & accurately. A++++ Auto Repair!!!

Ive been coming to Walstad for around 10 years. I have always had the best service from the friendly, knowledgeable staff. Sometimes its difficult to find a repair shop that you can trust. I trust Walstad Automotive to give me efficient and prompt service on whatever my car may need at the time.In one instance, I had to pick up some friends from the airport. Naturally, my car decided this was a good time to throw the serpentine belt. I nursed the car to Walstads and explained my situation. Dave got my car right in without an appointment. The problem was fixed in a jiffy and I made it to the airport on time.While I always schedule my service appointments ahead of time, the above proves to me that Walstad Automotive is not just concerned with vehicles, but also the people who drive them. They take time to explain what theyre doing.Theres always a fresh pot of coffee and cold drinks available!You cant do any better for automotive service than Walstad Automotive.Greg Lobeck

Stopped in for an oil change and had them check for a possible front seal leak. They found a loose screw that leaked oil on the front of the engine. Way cheaper than front main seal replacement. Also found oil drain plug was missing washer that previous oil change place did not notice. Then to top it off, they noticed tread difference between front and rear tires was 4/32. I put new tires on front (11/32) and thought rear tires were ok (7/32). They suggested I check with a dealer and I found out that allowed tolerance is only 2 or 3/32 difference with 4 wheel drive. That probably saved my differential. Bottom line is they are very competent and professional. I highly recommend Walstad for anyone looking for a good mechanic shop they can trust.

Poor initial customer contact.I called to schedule a time to bring in my car to have them check the error code when my check engine light came on. I was told that I would need to drop off the car and it would be added to the line of other cars already dropped off. I am not in a position to be without my car. I tried to schedule a time - or at least pick a day when I could drop it off to ensure I would be first in line. I was told that there was no way I could do that. I had to either drop it off overnight (and even then there was no guarantee) or wait until other cars that had been dropped off over night were serviced. I was not happy with this and decided to find a place where they were able to schedule a time to read the error.I spent almost $5000.00 in the past couple years here to get this car repaired, Im somewhat annoyed that they would not even work with me to get the car in without having to leave it for some undetermined amount of time.

Dave Walstad and his staff listen to me describe my cars problems and translate it nicely into automotive speak which means my problem gets fixed. The service is swift and the prices are right. I have been bringing my vehicles to Ben at Walstad’s since I could drive and they have always taken good care of them. Recently I purchased a pre-owned vehicle in amazing condition according to an inspection (2011 Hyundai Sonata). I had only made two payments when it broke down in which I had it towed to Walstad’s who informed me after running a diagnostic on the broken vehicle that there was a recall on my engine. They were able to get it towed to Hyundai at no cost to me, unfortunately the tow driver brought it to the wrong Hyundai dealer in which caused much confusion, including pointing fingers at Walstads and denying me the recall repairs. It was a total nightmare because of tow drivers and Hyundai’s unprofessionalism. Dave went down to Hyundai immediately after I had contacted them of the issue. Dave was able to have it towed again at no cost to me to the correct location and helped resolve the issue with Hyundai, in which I have been told will honor the warranty and repair the vehicle at no cost including providing me with a free rental. Dave and Ben are the best and do yourself a favor, AVOID HYUNDAI!

Quick service with very overpriced parts, charged me more than double what parts cost from dealer because they already had my car and I couldnt drive it anywhere else

They tend to up sell you and also try to sell part saying u need the part really could die without the time management or coming back 3 times to replace a start then they mess up your dash light....family own kinda have deals but there diagnoses is 100 no matter what; a lot for inperment.
