I have been a customer of Bobs for over 15 years. I have had him replace 2 air conditioning units and 2 furnaces.The first 4 or 5 interactions he was great. I liked his service very much.The last 3 times have not been pleasant.He SOLD me on this Coleman furnace and I bit. Since then he has dropped Coleman because they are terrible machines. In the meantime my Coleman breaks every other year, same part. It takes Bob literally 2 mins to fix it. The first time it was around $100. The second through fourth times it was around $400, this time he wants $899?!?!?!. Ive noticed over there years his prices are arbitrary. And hell get the max price he can out of you.Unfortunately I cannot recommend Bob. His practices have changed.

We tried to clean our A/C unit but it still wasnt working great. Called Bob later that evening and he was here the next day. He gave us a few very helpful tips to increase the function and we decided on a freon fill up to avoid buying a new unit. Two weeks later and it is still running great. I needed an estimate for an AC replacement. Bob Boldt was the only company that had an exact appointment time. The rest all had a 2 to 4 hour window of when they would show up. Jared arrived on time and was very professional. I ended up going with another company but still wanted to give Boldt HVAC a thumbs up based on the interface I did have with them.

I have relied on Bob Boldt HVAC since I moved to Eagan 10 years ago. When my central air system broke, I vetted 3 service companies. The other two companies stated that my working furnace also needed replacing. However, Bob and his crew said that my furnace was just fine and that all I needed was to focus on my central air system. Based on their honesty, I chose them and have relied on them for regular maintenance of my central air. After 10 years, this winter, my furnace finally broke down and Bob and his crew promptly took care of me. Just this week, I had a blown fuse and Bob fixed it without any charge. Excellent Customer Service. Bob and team were very responsive and easy to work with. We scheduled a service call to diagnose a furnace issue via FB. I was immediately contacted, after hours even, and informed that I would receive a call from a technician at start of business. Right on time, they called and set a time. They called back a short while later to inform that they could come earlier and arrived on schedule. Great communication. Bob and Dave were courteous, knowledgeable and clearly explained the issues. I appreciate their honesty. I had spoken to two other companies prior to making the call to Bob Boldt and was unimpressed with the treatment. In one instance I was quoted $1700 for the repair without even offering to diagnose the issue! I will be calling Bob in the future for all of our HVAC needs.

Bob installed our HVAC equipment years and years ago and its still operating perfectly. Whenever weve needed help hes always been spot on and he even let out dog outside to pee. :) Hes a great guy and we would highly recommend him.

Summary: Nice guy, had high hopes; ultimately left frustrated. May be suited for maintenance-only jobs.Furnace blower was dying (not dead) and a friend gave a great review of Bob Boldt HVAC. Bob came to the house the next day, ran the unit through the motions and stated it could be one of two things, and since the pipes werent frozen at the the time, he couldnt determine which. Bob provided instructions on how to diagnose, answered questions, and while it was frustrating - he spoke straight (no games), was patient, and pleasant to work with. I liked Bob.Two weeks later, pipes froze, I diagnosed, and called Bob back to the house for the fix. Bob walks in, gives me a call after 10 minutes (I was at the office), and states the water heater is too close to the furnace to replace the blower fan. When prompted for solutions, Bobs response was that I needed to: 1) source a plumber (he did have a referral), 2) have the plumber disconnect the heater, 3) get Bob back to the house so he could swap the blower, and, 4) get the plumber back to the house to reinstall the water heater. Seriously?Three major issues here. First, talk about a run around that adds $3-500 to the job by bringing in another trade; I even asked how much for Bob to do it, which he just said no, not our area. As someone up to my eyeballs in work, I return to vendors who solve problems, not multiply them. Second, with a newborn, the house cant be without running water for more than a day, and if any of the equation goes awry, hello painful week. Third, awareness of the space constraint could have been shared the FIRST time on site.I ended up calling another vendor who would handle it all for an extra $50. Turns out they DID NOT need to touch the water heater and got the job done in 2 hours. Would have saved a lot of frustration by calling them first.Not sure if Bob is towing the line on insurance, hates water heaters, or was just feeling lazy on this one. It was 6-weeks worth of running around and 6 phone calls that could have been avoided. I may use Bob Boldt HVACs service for a routine maintenance/tuneup in the future if no better options, but nothing more than that.

Ive called this company for service twice as they are closest provider to our home and publish coupons which make them very price competitive. Once this past winter for a heater issue and another a few days ago for a failing air conditioner. Both times I spoke with the dispatcher who ensured me that a technician would return my call when they became free. Both times I waited two days for the return which never came. I eventually hired a different company to do the work, but the unnecessary delay of having no heat and a/c for several days is not worth the reduction in cost. Save your health and go with a responsive company.

After several month of dealing with center point energy and having misdiagnosed the problem with our air conditioner unit by center point energy, we found Mr. Boldt services and scheduled the appointment with him. He was able to fix the problem very quickly! Affordable and very professional. Thank you.

He will be more than prompt and helpful when installing and getting his big payout. If you need service or are having trouble get used to unanswered calls. He installed my furnace and I couldnt ever get him to come back. I tried another service, but I heard Im not sure why this was installed like this, I cant clean it. Avoid.

I called Bob at about 8:00 a.m on a Monday morning and he was already out and had our air conditioner fixed by 11:00 a.m. that same morning at a very reasonable price. All it needed was a capacitor thankfully as we could not afford a new air conditioner right now. Ill definitely be recomending Bob to anyone who needs hvac services.

Was out of town but needed an hvac inspection for the buyers of our home. He was able to come out within 3 days and do a cleaning / inspection for a very reasonable price! Will use him again in the future.

I was new to Eagan and he was easy to find online so I called him to fix my A/C unit. Once he finally made it to my house he began his inspection. Turned out I simply needed some freon. one hour later he slaps me with a ridiculous bill. After checking around with the other HVAC places in the area I realized that he charged me OVER TWICE what the other guys would have!Definitely NOT worth it!
