Saw some people get kicked out for not having their mask completely covering thier nose, all while they didnt even have enough spray bottles and wipes for people coming in. π€‘
Gets busy to the point where you have to wait a bit sometimes.
Fantastic facility even during COVID-19 regulations. Lots of weights and machines that easily beat the gym back home
Well equipped and spacious
Very well-equipped gym. Theres a climbing wall, 2 basketball courts, an indoor track, 2 weight lifting areas, 2 racquetball courts, 2 floor hockey rinks, numerous ellipticals/bikes/treadmills/stair climbers, and several fitness studios with a variety of fitness classes offered every day. The equipment is always kept organized and clean. Great gym atmosphere too.
Very spacious and many amenities, however the equipment is cheap and lacks variety. Weight rooms are very dirty.
Extremely unaccomodating and inconsiderate administration.Edit: I will add that this post hilariously got the attention of the Hamel rec higher up administration almost as soon as I posted it. I bumped then up a star because they did solve my problem, but its pathetic that I had to publicly shame them with a google review to actually get their attention after months of playing email tag with various administrators that dont communicate with each other.
Since recent update it is quite the place. Not perfect but great facility.....day pass is pricey. Only real complaint is cost. Year membership was 525 for 1 year for me....but i play basketball and is worth it if i avg just one day a week....but i avg about 2 1/2 times a week. Anyhow.....just need heated pool and is not luxurious, but is very sufficient for what i seek.
They have really good group exercise programs and a nice outdoor swimming pool
Amazing gym, everything, I mean everything youd want in a gym.
Great place to exercise, especially if you are a student at unh
The gym does not have one scale. I have asked repeatedly when/if they would get a scale and have been repeatedly blown off. Such a simple request that I keep getting blown off for. Maybe listen to the people that attend the gym
Well kept and cleaned gym. First floor has two basketball courts, a weight room with several upper body and leg machines with a line of treadmills. Second floor has more treadmills and ellipticals and general cardio machines. Surrounding the second floor is a ~160m track (10 laps is a mile). There are cubbies for backpacks and personal items. The second section contains two more basketball courts, offices, and some more assorted machines. Its much quieter than the main section. There is also a bouldering wall and several smaller sections with machines, free weights, exercise balls, and/or mats.
As a student, living in the dorms, I dont have room for a scale. I like to track my weight, and the gym does not have a scale. I find that extremely unaccommodating.
They dont have a scale in the facility. I am a body builder, and track my weight to make sure Im on track. This is the schools gym, and their tiny dorms dont allow room for a scale. Its ridiculous
Not enough cable machines for the volume it sees and amount of space available
The most crowded hours are from 6 to 9 PM
Heating is turned on too high
Great gym
Best in NH
UNH Jim.There are two basketball courts, various training equipment, an indoor truck, and a bouldering wall in the hall.
