What a great guy! This place was recommended to me as a wonderful place to comparison shop between shippers. I brought my boxes in and the owner let me know what the best price would be, where, and how to get it. Turned out, he couldnt offer me the best price. This is the type of honesty that I love! I didnt spend a penny at his store, but I will definitely come back here whenever I need to ship something. P.S. He helped me with carrying all my boxes in and out of the store. Truly awesome human!

Location is great also. They even call me when I have packages bc they know I dont come on often. Ill never use another mailbox!

I took an item there for estimate of shipping cost and was told $40 for labor and packing materials. I decided to buy the box and materials and pack it myself. The next day I decided to pay $40 to have them pack it, so I called and asked the price and was told by Sam it would be $50. I asked why $10 more and was told because he wanted to double box it. I asked what would price be if I brought my box and materials back for him to use and not double boxed and answer was $40. I replied that the $20 I paid should be reduced from the $40 and he replied if you are going to nickel and dime me I dont want to do the job. I then asked if I brought the box and packing materials back if he would give me a refund, and then he hung up on me!

They will take care of everything, got all our Christmas presents out in one stop.

There is no way he is giving accurate prices on the shipping. The owner said his prices are calculated by USPS... but how is it that the same size/weight shipped to the same zip code was $10 more expensive here.

Sam was remarkably helpful. He spent at least 20 minutes with me coming up with a strategy to ship stuff across the country in the most cost-effective way possible. Just all-around excellent service.

These guys are absolutely fantastic! Really great service, extremely friendly and knowledgeable. And as if that werent enough their prices are great too!

They pack my items very carefully, with bunch of foam to protect them. They also helped me choose the cheapest carrier. I do not think they charge a lot for customizing the box. In fact, after inquiring many of the local stores, their price is quite competitive.

This is a great little mail shop in downtown Durham. Durham Pack and Ship does a great job with PO Boxes and shipping supplies - all for a very reasonable price. The guys at the front desk are real characters, and always super helpful.

Theyve handled dozens of shipments for me, always up-front in discussing and deciding together fare vs speed of delivery in determining shipping company. Their packing materials are a little on the pricier side, but to be expected at a 1 stop mailing shop. (Which, incidentally, used to be their name.)

Ive been going here on and off for a couple of years and had nothing but positive experiences. They have a great system for remembering all the private addresses you mail to, as well as a list of public addresses, greatly speeding up mailing with USPS, UPS, FedEx and I dont know what else. They have a wide selection of boxes and packaging material. Sam will even recycle batteries, cell phones and other items for the community- just ask.

I have been sending packages to family members out of state from Durham Pack and Ship for over five years. They are always cordial, helpful and knowledgable. Packages always arrive when they say they will and everything is safe and sound. I used to work close to their location, but now I male time to drive across town to send packages because I trust them. Other local stores have been much more expensive.

I needed to send a very important package and used Durham Pack and Ship. The address I gave them was not typed in correctly in their computers, and it was returned to me. I brought the package back in and explained what happened. They apologized, took full responsibility, and didnt charge me for sending it again. Thats the mark of a great business--when they make mistakes, they make it right.

Really disappointed. I was counting on them for a custom box that I needed immediately for a project that’s been ongoing for 2 years. First the rep said it would be $25, then later left a message on my phone saying the manager said $35. It was supposed to be ready the next day. Never got a call from them, so I called two days later. Box maker guy was very rude to me, said I just cant make it okay” with no explanation of what the issue was and hung up.Was trying to support a local business, but apparently some people here dont appreciate their customers at all and dont have the basic decency to communicate that they cant get an order done.

Sam is a notary public who can notarize your documents. Each one costs $5. I am not sure many people know this information. I hope this comment is helpful for those who need a notary public.

I cant say enough great things about Sam, Dave and the rest of his team. They literally managed my whole move. I had a piecemeal awkward move-out and they picked up, allowed frequent drop offs and packaged all of my goods with ultimate flexibility. They are extremely organized and even let me ship my eBay sales items separately. They are happy to let you use your own labels. Thanks a Million. No reason to ship with FedEx office ever again.

Pricey and kind of rude. I needed to send a less than 2lb package to the UK. I was told it would be over $100 for FedEx, or $34(ish) for USPS, and that was the cheapest he could do. I said I had seen it for about $24 at USPS myself. He just laughed at me and said no way... so I left to go to USPS myself. And sure enough, $21.50 all the way to the UK and with tracking too.Wouldnt recommend this place... they are charging you more than necessary.
