I was very impressed with this office from my first visit. I submitted some information through their website. When I came in for my first appointment, the paralegal who helped me (Melissa) was ready to explain my options and next steps. She was reassuring and helpful. My brother-in-law is disabled and needed to file bankruptcy. The law office of John Orcutt accommodated all of our needs including the fact that I had to answer a lot of the questions myself because my brother-in-law is learning disabled. April Ayscue (our case worker) was very friendly and extremely helpful. She made sure the process went very smoothly for us.

Receptionist was very pleasant and inviting but after completing 10 pages of questionnaires then got the “Paralegal from Hell” who didn’t even introduce herself before digging her pitchfork into me worse than the creditors I owe! Didn’t take a minute to decide that it’s better to put up with those harassing phone calls than Orcutt where you NEVER get to see a lawyer, just paralegals who treat you worse than the creditors once you sign on the dotted line!

Every time I call the bankruptcy office this lady picks the phone up. And always has a attitude. Every single time. She hung up on today during the call when I asked if I could speak to someone else. I called again and asked for her supervisor and she didn’t give me a name or anything. I dislike calling the office because she always picks up. All this stuff going on in the world and you have to call the bankruptcy office to get someone who is unprofessional. I can’t get ahold of my lawyer or get a response.

My experience during this process went well. From my first visit, to my finally visit, I was treated well. April answered all of my questions in a timely manner.April allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed to ask. I was never given the run around. April was friendly, courteous, kind, and nonjudgmental. I would strongly recommend this office.

June, 2011 our family was in despair with debt so we had a consultation from that point we was told help is on the way which after paying $500.00, we couldnt afford, with several weeks passing a phone call notified us that we didnt qualify then we chalk it up as experience. Fast forward yesterday(4/29/19) we decide to go by the office to ask why assistance was denied back in June, 2011 by leaving our contact info so today(4/30/19) the paralegal said Based on the initial consultation our income, at the time, prohibited the legal team from going forward yet they still proceeded, collected our $500.00, then brushed us off. By the grace of God Mr. Ed Bolts decided to go above, beyond to rectify our past experience as contacting us with sincerity then elected to issue a refund. With an addition my apologies to Ms. Glenda.

Having to declare bankruptcy or even consider it is terrifying! We weren’t even sure it was the best choice for our family but it was our only option. We had a friend refer us to John Orcutt and are so glad we chose them. Our process didn’t involve much personal interaction with our attorney Koury even though we knew he was acting behind the scenes on our behalf. The majority of our case was prepared and handled with care by the paralegals from start to finish. The first-Ms. Weaver and last-Nikki West who are 2 of the 3 paralegals we were working with were kind and responsive and treated us like family. I know their office sees a lot of clients but Nikki West our post filing paralegal is just amazing!! She answered all my emails quickly and even after business hours and never seemed to not have a plan to help us maneuver any upcoming issues we might see. This process is extremely challenging and requires fine attention to detail and we were so pleased with how they handled our case. We filed bankruptcy back in 2010 and the initial process was wonderful. Customer service was great which made me feel comfortable to choose John Orcutt as my representative. Over the past few years I have been trying to get accurate information regarding our standing since the information I receive from creditors and the Trustee are not quite matching and I am feeling very uncomfortable that we will have problems with our creditors once the 5 year period expires. The problem is that it is very hard to be able to reach any one at customer service when I try to call. I understand the staff goes on vacation but it is not customer friendly that no one else can assist during the period. Then I leave messages but get no return call. I am not able to get a direct phone number to the clerk our case is assigned to. We are the customers, and the reason the company is successful. I feel displeased due to the fact that when trying to get information when I need it service is not available. I feel like I am calling some government agency where you just a number, not a person. You ought to improve your process and match the service one receives when first applying. meanwhile I am still waiting for a return phone call. I am very frustrated.
