These are the smartest CPAs in the Triangle and I would not depend on anyone else. They are my trusted advisors and have never let me down. If the IRS comes knocking, I want them at my back.

Poor, ineffective tax accountants. They made an error on my prior tax statement- the IRS sent me a notice of tax deficiency. DMJ eventually remedied it (by filing a form that they should have initially filed but did not). But then they charged me to fix their error. I had a colleague who also used them - same thing happened to him. My colleague was audited by the IRS and found that this accountant had made a mistake. He was asked to pay DMJ to fix it. Since going through all of this, I have switched to a new tax accountant. The new accountant is well regarded, communicated well, and charged me LESS for my return. Most importantly, the new accountant did not charge me for time asking questions (which this company does). DMJ nickles and dimes you more than other accountants I have seen - AND makes mistakes. Be wary of this group- would absolutely recommend going elsewhere.

These people and their predecessor here in Durham has done my taxes for more than 25 years. They are excellent: careful, accurate, responsive, patient.
