Very sharp edge.

My knives were in great condition! I met the couple at a farmers market to sharpen my knives.

I had an excellent experience with this business.I had some doubts because theres not many reviews, so here I am. My Japanese kitchen knife had a broken tip, some bangs in the edge of the blade, and a larger chip missing near the shoulder. My knife was fixed very quickly, right in front of me, with everything being explained as to why it was being done, and the charge was only $5.Barry worked from lower grit belts to remove material where the large chip/fracture was, expertly keeping the shape of my blade; then up to higher grit belts to get the correct edge and polish on the blade, then back down to remove more material when the fracture continued to reveal itself, until it was completely gone and he could move up to #1000, and then polish. No burrs on either side of the edge, and now my knife is even sharper than it was before it broke. He showed me a paper test, cutting paper with the knife with no force from his hand, just the weight of the knife. Very impressive.Excellent craftsmanship at bargain prices. Barry is a man who knows his craft inside and out, I highly recommend his expertise for any kind of sharpening.
