Worst experience ever. It wasnt an even cut. The cut was shorter than mentioned. Last time I went was 2018 and the lady was nice. This time was a different lady. To play it safe, Im not going back again. I had really good experiences elsewhere just in a further location. The 10 min extra drive would be worth going elsewhere.

My son grew his hair for 2 years and wanted a small trim for his birthday. The the lady shaved it all off to an inch. Id definitely never recommend them again and never go back. Of course ill inform all of the ones I recommended to not go back there.

Asked for a trim for my son and she basically cut it straigth up front amd at the back. No layering, no setting, no styling. She was cutting as if she was doing a favor. Well we wasted our money.

I just got my haircut there, if I could give 0 stars I would....the cut is so uneven and the lady completely disregarded what I asked for. Have to take prom pictures next week and couldn’t be more mad. I shouldn’t have even paid for the haircut.

Friend’s Barber Shop is open for business and Ben, the owner, is keeping it safe to get a professional cut! Called and scheduled an appointment for today and upon arrival the door was locked to keep out walk-ins. Knocked and Ben opened the door immediately wearing a mask and gloves. They are also encouraging you to wear your mask, which I did, and it was appreciated. If you are finally ready, call and schedule your “real” cut. No lie, I have never felt better! Loved the wife’s cut, but c’mon fellas, go get properly cleaned up. You deserve it!

Ben does a great job on my sons hair. He is professional and pleasant and my son looks forward to getting his hair cut. He also always does exactly what we ask for and offers helpful suggestions.

Ive been going to Friends for over a year and a half now and have never had a bad experience. The staff there is extremely friendly and welcoming. Even when the line begins to build they make sure to focus on your haircut and not to hurry to the next which I appreciate. I am 23 years old and see everyone in here from 5 to 75+ years old and Friends seems to accommodate everyone. I always recommend this place to friends or coworkers looking for a great haircut in this neighborhood. Overall, excellent haircut for an excellent price.

Worst barber shop. I used to go here a few years ago when I was in high school and luis was great but I went back after a couple years and the lady who cut my hair did not know what she was doing. She pushed my beard line down to the chin and the. Charger me 35 dollars for a beard line up it was like someone recorded my worst night made then charged me to see it.

Very bad experience, went in 2 days ago to just get my beard lined up. The lady made my beard line go very down when I told her to keep it high. She also charged me 32 bucks just for a beard line up after. Was very disappointed as I had to go home and shave my beard since that was not what I wanted would never go back here.

Just took my six months old daughter there and ask Ben if he can give her a haircut, and he gave her a great haircut spending lot of time with her. No question this is the best barbershop in the area. Ben and his team are always accommodating, and the shop is clean and nice. Ben is clearly a skilled craftsman, very knowledgeable with great attention to detail. He has any easy and friendly manner that’s turned me into a regular customer.It’s been great to see how much the business has grown over the years but no matter how busy it gets you never feel rushed when it’s your turn in the chair. I was originally going to give 5 stars as Ive been here several times, however my last experience was extremely troublesome and annoying. I asked my barber to not cut the top of my head TWICE, yet she proceeded to do so anyways, claiming to just be fading the sides. As a result, my hair was cut over an inch shorter on the top. I even emphasized mid cut that I did not want the top cut at all. On top of that, the back was cut unevenly compared to the sides. If youre going to go here, be wary of who cuts your hair. Most barbers here are solid, some are not.I came here several times since its close to me from work and convenient, however after this last experience I think Ill be exploring different options.

I had been going to this location for approximately two years with mixed but mostly positive results, it greatly depended on the barber working that day (I continued going hoping for the best and mainly because it was the closest location). I received a haircut several months ago that was very poorly done. I even caught a few remarks on how bad it looked from co-workers. Maintaining a professional appearance for work is important to me. I decided to give it another try and went back last month to get a haircut and beard trim. The haircut was ok however the barber cut a square on one side of my beard and both sides were not even. I went in to ask what could be done to fix it only to find the same barber blaming me for asking for the trim I received. I promise I did not ask for an uneven beard. I simply write this review to provide a caution to future customers, this place is truly a mixed bag of results. If you desire to get a professional haircut then go elsewhere. I was provided a refund for my haircut after discussing it with the manager, who appeared greatly annoyed at me for having to look at my bad haircut.

I went in to get a shave and a haircut today, and I had an excellent experience. Ive never had a shave at a barber before, so I didnt know what to expect, but it was very relaxing and is the closest shave Ive ever had. Thao did all the work, and was very friendly and gentle. The atmosphere in the shop was very pleasant, and the price was very good for the quality of the service provided. I wasnt expecting it, but it was the best haircut Ive ever had too! Wish I had tipped more - and I cant wait to go back again.

Ben and his crew have been cutting me and my sons hair for about three years now. By far the best barber I have even been too. I highly recommend him or any of the barbers at his shop. Ive been going to this barbershop for two years, and Bens recently taken to taking appointments which is clearly a sign that hes doing well. I dont so much mind making the appointment as I do having to pay a 5.00 service charge for it. The next time I went in, it was at 8AM, it was Ben and a new lady barber. I wanted him to cut my hair, but he said he was busy until 11. Not having a choice I let the lady cut my hair, and she didnt do a great job. The whole time I was there, he sat at the register staring outside. This is not how I expect to be treated as a regular customer. Im not going again. He lost someone who was pretty loyal for two years. Hope he changes his poor business tactics.

I moved into the area in May and there are several options near by. So far I like this one the best and the price is a little lower than some others. For those complaining about a long wait, I actually like that they take their time with each customer instead of rushing things. I just called in before coming, in order to know if there was a long wait or not (They said they only did walk ins) I came in and out right away. Tanya did my hair.

My first time getting a haircut here turned into the last. I walked out wishing I hadn’t stepped foot in there due to my butchered haircut. It is not even fixable.

Thao used to work here earlier and did a phenomenal job, always took feedback and her haircuts were never rushed. Out of the 6 barbers that work at friends, she would get about 50% of the traffic asking for her. Since Thao left, this place has dropped drastically in quality and customer service. The only other decent barber is the owner and his haircuts are always rushed, he never listens to feedback, and has an attitude about any small request. Never coming back here again. Suggest checking out Roosters or Jonpaul salon.

Ben does a pretty good job but unfortunately you’ll have to pay a $5 fee plus cost of haircut to have him cut your hair. I refuse to pay for an appointment, go up $5 on a haircut if you have to Ben.I started going to this Barber Shop 2 months after it first opened for business and continued for 2 years until one day I walk in around 10am. Noticed Ben had zero customers, so I help myself and sit down for a haircut. At which point Ben informs me he has an appointment at 11am and refused to cut my hair unless I made an appointment. I thought he was joking, but nope. BTW it usually takes him all of 15 mins to cut my hair from past visits.It’s been a while since I visited Ben’s place but was in the area today and decided to see if things had changed. Nope. Instead he gave me a snarky look after welcoming me to take a seat in the lobby.... at which point, I left.I agree with other posters about the lack of quality from anyone beisides Ben. Have no idea why he can not retain good help.Tried out a place a friend recommended “Cumming Barber Shop” located on Market Place Blvd in Cumming between Lowe’s and new Race Trac. This place is awesome!!!Old time barber shop that offers men’s/boys haircuts with hot towel/razor trim. Staff of about 8 barbers handling a steady line of customers. Waited a total of 10 mins for a haircut and left with a perfect cut. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

Ben is the only barber here that can cut hair, but he will not see you unless you regularly go there and pay a fee to make an appointment.The last time I used one of his other barbers, she brutally messed up my hair and I had to get it fixed. So unless Ben is cutting and you are willing to pay the appointment fee, try another place.

Took my kid there for a haircut and the Manager Ben seemed to get frustrated because my son was playing and making noises. Well guess what buddy..you are in Johns Creek..get used to it. They just lost business for 2...

The lady who trimmed my beard had no clue what she was doing. She literally left my beard patchy with parts of it longer and some shorter here and there. I went home and shaved it all together.
