I have used this location for the last 3 years (2019, 2020, 2021). 2019 was a disaster - but eventually cleared up and completed. 2020, no issues at all. 2021 is the 2nd of 3 years with major issues. I dropped off my taxes in mid-May and was told that they would be completed by the next Friday or following Monday at the latest. I filled out an intake form and left my paperwork with Socorro (the tax professional who we have worked with in the prior years. Since then, I have not heard anything as of today July 12, 2021. I have left voicemails and emailed Socorro directly with no response. At this point, I have no idea what our status is, where our paperwork is...what is going on? Now the office is listed as temporarily closed. I will NEVER visit this location again.

This location is HORRIBLE to do buisness with. First off, Brandon assisted me, I thought he was fast and efficient, boy was I wrong. A week or so goes by, I noticed that I never got a notification indicating that my tax return was accepted (by both state or federal). I called in and was weirdly routed over to another H&R block location where I was told that my tax return wasnt accepted because CLEARLY Brandon doesnt know how to effectively do his job. I clearly explained my tax filing status. What makes it worse, NO ONE even called me to get this corrected. If I was never told that yall send a text verification of acceptance, I wouldve never known that my tax return had an issue. Terrible, considering I paid the tax filing fees UPFRONT. Save your money and find another company to do buisness with.

I have been using H&R Block services for a few years but after this year I will not.At first I thought that tax prep Brandon did a great job, faster than most. Gave me the usual packet of documents, showed me the totals for both my return and their fees that would be coming out and I was on my way thinking it was completed as usual. I noticed I never received the email saying my efile return was accepted. So I called the office and they had almost no record of me being down there, wrong tax prep name associated with my return and appointment. Come to find out tax prep Brandon never submitted the efile return for who knows what reason and is unavailable for questioning. Looking up my return status through HR or IRS systems comes up blank.

Based on my last two visits for 2020 and 2019 taxes, I feel I can trust H&R Block to do my taxes accurately and quickly.

She knows what she is doing and I have complete trust in her expertise

If I could give this place a negative star I would, I called asking for a Manager and the guy who answered the phone by the name of the bill he told me the didn’t have any and Hung up on me twice... he was so rude. First he told me there are no supervisors and then he said he is a supervisor. I asked for the customer complain number and he said he did not know it. I’m so frustrated 😡

I take care of an older gentleman with a pretty uncomplecated tax return..The agent was great, fast professional..Probably going there next year for him.

Thought my return was done and submitted. Return totals, service fees, and all papers printed given. At this point in previous years I would receive a Return Accepted email within 24hrs of this. No such email received. Called to see about Filing/Return status and it was almost as if I had never even been there. My tax filing/return is now lost in limbo.

You ever see molasses move? Now imagine molasses going against gravity in freezing cold temperatures. Thats about how fast they are.

I had an appointment at 6 pm with someone and I waiting for an hour and a half for her but never saw her or heard back on the email I sent her. I waited an hour and half only to find out she went home sick. I never got a call or a reschedule email I just waited and waited. I tried to call but got transferred to the Midvale location where I was told that i didnt have an appointment at the Midvale location and it was not her problem and hung up on me. I finally got some help from Stephen who was nice enough to help me but I am still really upset i waited an hour and a half just to sit and get no help.

Ratna has been our tax advisor for several years now and we trust her to treat us well and help us navigate our ever-changing needs. Shes amazing, and I cant imagine not working with her.

Knowledge, dependability, friendly, and I feel secure that she knows all the latest tax information.

So far not bad will update review once taxes are complete they did get back to me I guess they misheard my phone number.Update:: Im thrilled my taxes are done and getting a refund but the price was 50 dollars more then what was first told, not including the protection package I bought later. Its cool Im happy Im still in the positive.

They deserve no stars. Worse tax experience we have ever had. First of all our appointment was scheduled with a senior tax person, but he had a different appointment so we got stuck with a new guy who the manager of the location said should have never attempted to do our return. After sitting for three hours watching him fumble his way through our taxes we left thinking we were paying state and getting a federal return. Oh, that’s not the case, two days later we get a call, he made some mistakes. We will do an amendment and let you know when they are ready. Then they have someone call and say you can pick them up. Stop by thinking they would explain what we owe, no, just here’s some envelopes and you mail these off yourself. Oh, and by the way the manager will come out and explain this after the secretary had no clue. The manager then proceeds to tell us all of these issues and the amount of wasted time are worth a total of maybe 100 dollars off of our taxes. Seriously, she basically said your time is worth nothing to them. This is the most unprofessional tax prep service I have ever used. Save yourself the heartache and hire a true tax professional.

Jessica did a wonderful job and has great expertise. She is efficient, compassionate, intelligent and stable. I will have her work on my returns next year. I appreicate her flexibility also.

I do appreciate the good service that I received from H&R Block and I would have given it five stars but hi think you charging too much for someone doing a simple WW2 in two separate states. It hardly takes an extra moment to file for the second state when i was just doing a simple W2 in both instances. you shouldnt charge a full amount for each state. I had transferred from one state to another and as a result I had to file in two separate states and it was a simple procedure but you want to charge $57 x 2. I think thats greedy

She the tax consultant read through the details for 30 min and told me the choices i have and asked me to decide which option i want to go. she sounded very un professional and has little knowledge of the case and made me confused. And in the end she charged me 50$ just for the consultation.. which is reading the content from internet/IRS website. Better do your research from IRS and avoid going to H&R block. They just want to get your $$ from some means.

I needed a certified acceptance agent. They refused to provide this service unless I did my full filing with them. I completed my return with my CPA and was able to do this at another HR block before but here they refused and hung up on me before even answering if there was another CAA available.

There is a high chance I will return next year since I have been going here the last few times and they are always very helpful and the process does not take long.

This office is the worst experience Ive ever had with H&R Block. Due to a circumstance out of their control (due to a relocating to UT employer), we had to file an extension for our taxes. Thats fine...I get it. They charged us $99 for the extension. Excessive, in my opinion, but whatever... we paid it. Finally received corrected forms and scheduled our appointment to complete our taxes. After waiting for 15 minutes after our scheduled time for the doors to open and computers to restart multiple times, our tax file was locked due to apparently not paying the $99 extension fee. We were able to prove our payment to no avail and asked to reschedule so that they could contact support to investigate and unlock our file. Just received a call tonight to last us know that it may take an additional 72 hours to investigate so our new appointment will be worthless. What a joke.

I was contacted by the IRS and was freaking out because they said I owed $4,000! I did some research and called to meet with an expert about what to do. I mean its the IRS, $4000, its scary! I told the lady I met with, Ratnavathi Rolla, that I did some research and I thought I may be insolvent. I asked her what I needed to do. She proceeded to tell me that I would need to redo my taxes from that year and that would cost like $200-something, then they would write a response to the IRS for like $200 or $300-something just TO START. I left feeling so confused. I emailed her information that she asked for and asked her more questions about the process... She NEVER RESPONDED. I went to another place where they were actually honest with me and gave me the best advice ever. All I needed to do was send a paper unsigned with a breakdown of why I was insolvent. I got a response back in a couple weeks and all was cleared up, and I didnt spend a DIME! Thank God I didnt rely on H&R Block.

Thought this would be an easy painless stress free tax season, but when you cannot call the agent that prepared your taxes directly and they dont receive their message for two days, and your agent sends an email stating taxes are hold and asking if we will be planning on continuing, when we were waiting for a call back the entire time from her. i got pretty irritated once i finally was able to talk with the agent and she thought we had come in and picked up our taxes. the main number rep put a note they would honor my coupon since it was expiring and i hadnt received a call back, but the mgr at the draper office refused even tho there were notes in my file...needless to say HR block has a horrible process for how they triage and handle callls outside of an appointment time reservation (basically i had to make an appt to talk to the agent over the phone)..its not uncommon to have to call your agent with a few #s once you get home....NEVER EVER AGAIN will i go here.. oh ya i still dont have completed taxes,on day 5 of phone tag, and they probably dont do anything with the survey information feedback
