Mr. Dupont is a highly educated individual that will complete your taxes in a timely fashion. Ive been bringing Mr. Dupont my tax documents for a couple years and recommended you do the same. I’m absolutely appalled by the lack of professionalism portrayed when I called and visited his office. During the initial call I explained the nature of my simple return as a sole proprietorship, he stated his services would total out to $200 or so, and without provocation said if I wanted a lower end return he proceeded to refer me to another tax group.. (red flag)Even though I felt insulted and I assured him that $200 was very reasonable, I brought him all the numbers, all the relevant information, everything was accounted for with proof to back up my earnings and deductions with bank statements!I even brought him last year’s tax return to make it easier for him. **He whined about having to do the return for me, and type in all the numbers, and asked me why I didn’t go to the agency that I used last year who has all my info on file, said that he was far too busy and it would take a week for me to receive the return..Even criticized how I added up my deductions even though I did all the work for him! He stated that He had more important folks ahead of me.. He proceeded to point to his cluttered desk.Argued with me about how he runs the numbers, and how complex my return is, so on and so forth... After going through my entire return and which only took 20 min to review, and wasting my valuable time, he bumped up the price from $200 to $300, he told me go somewhere else if I didn’t like it. The price could have honestly been double that, and I would have paid it if he treated me respectfully, and made me feel confident that he was the right person to go to.. He didn’t feel trustworthy.I was very respectful, open minded and courteous, and was treated so poorly. If he didn’t want my business, he should have just said so during the first call.In my opinion: Rude, brute personality, unprofessional, inconsiderate, opportunistic and lazy, to say the very least..I never write negative reviews but this experience was absolutely loathsome.. I felt super unwelcome.
