We are returning customers and always have great customer service. Jackson hewitt staff are great! They answer all questions thrown at them.

Do not do business there!!! First They do not give you a copy of anything.. I thought u was getting a copy in the folder they gave but, I found out later, nope it was some refer a friend stuff. I then had an issue and tried to contact the person who did my taxes and was told he would call me back and never did. I call back again and spoke to him and was told to come in because he was too busy to help. I wasn’t able to make it in and called again I was told they would leave a message and he’d call back. I asked for there corporate number to file a complaint and was transferred to someone who again couldn’t help me and was told a manger would call back in a few days and has yet to call... I attempted to call their corporate and the hold is like 20+ minutes to get someone on the line (not surprising since they seem like a super sketchy place) so now I am waiting for a call back from their corporate office (doubt it will happen). Now I have no clue what to do - my tax return was deposited but it’s like almost 900 short and no can help me figure out why. DO NOT do business with company!!! You’ll get ripped off!!!*Update- Someone from their corporate office called back. I was told that they have been having a large amount of complaints about that specific location and the manager does not call back for complaints. I found out that they had charge me 823 dollars in “fees” but were unable to give me the break down as to what “fees” they were charging for. I informed her that I was told it would be no more then 200. She informed me the manager might give me some money back maybe 200 or 250 and would call me back later this week. I was told of a form I can fill out with the IRS for complaint/fraud with them and will be doing so.

So I did my taxes through Jackson Hewitt last year in person in different location that lady was amazing and only charged me I believe like 75$ got me a hog tax return and gave me outstanding service in Santa Barbara county I recently moved to Los Angeles county and got my taxes done here . And everything was great in the beginning they where really nice and the man who did my taxes was RICHARD HERBER yes he was a nice guy but tried to charge me 250$ I had no clue this is what he was charging or that he was even trying to deduct that from my tax return since i normally always pay cash upfront . He gave me tax return papers and told me I was all set and so I asked how much do I owe you he said I took it out of your tax return so I asked how much?!?? He said like $100-$200 so I was shocked at the amount since I never pay more then $80 never have I ever been charged that much his whole attitude changed after I said I would never pay that much and then he told me well the minimum charge is 85$ so I said well that reasonable . It took everything in me to keep my cool . So I strongly recommend to either not come here at all or ask before he starts doing taxes for a the exact fee or how much you will be charged after I had him adjust to 85$ cash upfront my return total deferral plus state was originally 878$ after I had him adjust was $1,128 he litteraly almost bamboozled me but luckily I’m not that stupid. So there fore I will NEVER EVER COME BACK TO JACKSON HEWITT EVER AGAIN and I would advice others to double check how much he is charging you if he deducted from your tax return make sure he gives you the option to pay cash or deduct and know how much he is charging and get a receipt Jackson Hewitt is known for good rates but not this place!! Trust I was super upset I can thank him for after almost ripping me off charging me 85$ either way I would have had him cancel it.. god knows how many innocent hard working people he has ripped off cuz this is not ok people work hard all year and count on their tax return for many things .. so I advise anyone not to come here and if you do ask for the total amount it will cost to do taxes and pay cash.

Dont do business with them they dont give a copy of your taxes so you dont see what they charge you they rip you off beware

People were friendly but they way over price on the fees. Did not disclose fees upfront. Still will not give an accurate account on how fees were calculated. Plus they will not return phone calls. Will not be back!!!!!!

Darlene Balas was rude will not be back. High fees. They tried to charhcme $600.00 for a basic tax return. I ended up paying $250.00.to do my taxes and $18.00 storage fee. What is a storage fee? She didnt give me a copy of my tax returns so I called her and she stated I should have asked for a copy. Regardless her demeanor was unprofessional. I will be calling corporate.

They are crazy! $ 400 for a tax return after he said 250 I will never come back I dont recommend it to anyone
