Paige killed it on bathing our lil pup!! she’s very nice, funny and clearly care about what she does. she really focused on our concerns. banjo has never looked (or smelled) better! thanks Paige!!

This place was great! We went in to get gerbils, expecting them to just hand us gerbils and walk away, but instead, the worker made sure we had all the necessities, recommended food, treats, little toys, all without over pushing like most people would. Our gerbils are healthy and love to play! They are very social and get along well! Thank you PetSmart of Downers Grove!!!

COVERT DISCRIMINATION - I walked into the store yesterday and did not hear the usual “welcome in!” greeting. I thought it was odd but I gathered my pet supplies and checked out. While in the check out line I noticed an employee with a short blonde bob enthusiastically greeting white patrons as they walked into the store. I shockingly watched as she actively ignored patrons of color, rolled her eyes, and returned to work as if she didn’t see them enter the store. I’ve never witnessed anything like this at a PetSmart. I am beyond disappointed.

Staff was not paying attention to the growing line of customers, instead talking amongst themselves. No greeting. No communication besides one female employee with glasses who took us on register 2. She was so nice, and she was able to get us checked out quickly.

Cant afford a pet yet but will eventually. The chinchillas are so cute :>

Loves all the choices of pet food brands and all the different types do pets someone can buy.

This store used to be good. There was a cashier there named Leslie who provided the best service I have ever had which is why I would go out of my way to go here. Lately this store has made many mistakes which has made it go downhill in quality. They fired Leslie that was mistake one and replaced her with some attitude ridden guy named Brian. His service will never measure up to anyone else’s. I have also noticed the care put into the pets has really gone down because the reptiles and fish seem like they are in terrible conditions. When I tried to bring it up with Brian he just gave me attitude. I wish they would get rid of this guy and bring back Leslie. It doesn’t stop there. There is a manager there named Rhea and she is just as bad if not worse. She is extremely rude, has no people skills and is very dismissive to the customers. She needs to go! This is no way to rub a business. Stay away from this store it has many things wrong. I will not be coming back I will go out of my way to other stores.

Took my dog to get groomed and never got a call from the groomer that he was done. After 6 hours, they finally called. Except it was someone else calling to say that they had closed for the day. Sent my husband to go pick up our dog and about 2 hours after he got home, I got a voicemail. The groomer had direct to voicemail called me to pick him up. I was very upset by this. She did an okay job on the grooming but that was very unprofessional. We will not be going back.

This is a great store and they stay open until 9pm. It had many different selections (for cats at least) and there were at least two people stocking if you had questions. Great experience!

Goliath like shopping at the store he has his own account

The crested gecko enclosure was reading at 100° and 20% humidity at closing when it should read 70° and 60% humidity. It was 30° way too hot and the poor guy was digging himself into the dirt to escape the heat. I informed an employee and his response was “who cares, someones buying it” “its only been here for a day”. He was incredibly rude about it and it was clear that he just wanted to leave work. No care for the animals well-being whatsoever. It left me completely speechless. Needless to say i will be contacting a manager about this asap. The employee i talked to was a tall man around 25/30 years old. Blonde/red hair.

The sales tech was extremely helpful when I realized I forgotten to wear my mask and offered to return to my car to get it. He almost ran from his cash register to get a mask for me at a table near the entry that I had not noticed as I was so intent on looking up for the cat section signage.

My dog Djangos previous family never trimmed his nails, so when we went for a nail trim I was expecting the same old screaming boy. Amber & Hayley took excellent care of Django as he didnt make a peep! Their extra care & attention to detail made him feel comfortable, and I felt so relieved to find a place where the groomers heard me out. Thank you! Top service 👌

Our 2 rescues were scared but the employees made them feel right at home..

They had all the flavors of the Fancy Feast pate style cat food my guys eat. Anything else upsets their tummies and they are priced fairly. Also had their favorite treats.

The line was a little long but we really wanted a treat. We were in line 38 minutes before we got our order of 3 coffees. 8 minutes because one of our drinks was charged for but never made and we had to wait for it to be prepared. At this location the staff is overwhelmed and while one young man was really trying to work quickly there was also a young lady who was in no particular hurry and the cashier does not appear to assist with the preparation of coffee. Unless you have time to waste in this busy season select a different location. Just down Roosevelt in Villa Park there is another location without the crazy wait times.

Always have a healthy stock of pet food at prices that beat any grocery store.

We went there and there was a sale price on fish, When we got the counter lady said the sale was over last week so we asked for manager he said oh well forgot to take sign down want it or not . We used to buy most of our pet supplies from this store. Not Anymore This happened in mid January wasn’t cause of cost was cause of customer service

Haley Lechtenberg in the grooming salon was absolutely amazing with my 10 week puppy. We had the puppy bath with top pup plus add on services. Haley was patient, and calm she eased my puppy’s nerves at the moment I handed him off. I will only request Haley in the future she exceeded all of my expectations!

Im not going to understate this place. I cant believe the first class customer service Ive received at the Lombard location. I have twice brought both of my ridiculously huge, fast growing, puppies. Not only were my puppies treated with cute smiles and happy faces. But, the customer service floor staff have always been above and beyond helpful. These people go past the extra mile. Great selections for puppy and large breed (Great Dane and Greater Swiss), but the whole Grain free, large breed, puppy formulas as well as brands available, only had Chicken as their ingredient. What are chicken sensitive, or chicken allergic, large breed puppies supposed to do? Your associates have made me and my two huge puppy kids so very happy, calm and satisfied. All I know is its great to pick up food, treats and chew bones. Will be shopping here, with my growing puppy boys every time.

We stopped in to get a leopard gecko and all the habitat needs for our daughter. Erin was able to answer all of our questions and gave us great tips for taking care of our new pet. We had to make a second trip today to replace one of the bulbs that had come in the terrarium ensemble and Erin helped us again with picking the right bulbs for our gecko. The cashier that checked us out both times was beyond friendly. Amazing experience.

I have been to this location several times. You are always greeted with a friendly hello welcome to petsmart everytime you walk into the store. Shelves are always stocked. You wont have to wait long to checkout. Petsmart is quick to call for cashier backup when needed. 🐕🐈

Brooke did a great job grooming my dog. To be honest I wasn’t even going to bring Melo to get a haircut at Pet Smart, but I’m glad I did. She got me in same day and was done in two hours! Melo was happy and excited when I picked him up so I think he enjoyed his first haircut! I will definitely bring him back soon!

We love PetSmart and so does our pup. We got our puppy 4 months ago and everything we need we found it PetSmart including grooming and puppy classes. Tonight we finished six weeks training at PetSmart in Downers Grove with Betsy. She is great trainer. Maddie passed with flying colors, and got her certificate. Thank you Betsy, Laura the manager, and all the other great helpers at PetSmart.

This store is always very clean and neat. Not like other places with odors and stuff every where. Customer service and doctors are friendly and helpful. The grooming service is fantastic. The prices for the hospital can get a little hefty so make sure you understand what is expected to be done on your pet visit to the doctor at Banfield.

This is the best most stocked store in our area. From cat adoption to fish, gerbils and all dog needs they truly come in handy. Gone downhill a little bit with their staff this summer but hoping they’ll improve. Regardless we’ll stocked!

Just called to ask if they had a certain dog food in stock because i have gone to three different stores and they were out of stock. Figured i call and ask before i drive 30 minutes away and the lady Sara proceeded to tell me she can’t check because they are low staff. She didn’t offer to put me on hold or anything. Bad customer service.

Adopted an amazing little doggies named Mariner from Four Paws For You Forever who were hosting their adoption event at this PetSmart. Everyone from the wonderful owner of 4P4U to the employees of PetSmart were incredible. I recommend this store and this rescue who are located in West Chicago, Il.

Quick nail trin for the puppy.

Not enough help I waited 15mins for someone to help me and nobody still came after the young lady told me she was sending someone right over to the fish section.

I walk in to get face grooming for my Dog for my 4th time during Covid-19 but this time they looks more busy and the manager decided to make a new rules and get me an appointment to comes next day and I drove all the way from lisle to downers grove, I hate when one manger try to put a new rules for a big stores like pet smart

I went to the store in Downers Grove. They were almost out of stock for what I was looking for. An Associate offered to call other stores to inquire about their stock and successfully found a store in my area and had them hold for me. Very pleasant experience! I used to like coming to this location, but the cashier Leslie drives me nuts where I dont want to go there. Over serving does exist and often I just want to get in and get out, but she cant stop talking long enough to just check people out. By the time I get to the register Ive had enough and just want her to ring me up and let me roll. But instead I hear a comment about every single item I am buying and every single promotion going on. There have been times where I pulled up to that location, saw she was at the register and went to pet supply plus instead just to avoid the experience.

Leslie is the most helpful, and personable person Ive met there! She is also very respectful, and unlike most asked to pet my very skiddish pet before doing so. She is a great worker, and deserves a raise!! 😁

They offered online order, curb-side pick-up during the social distancing order, which provided an excellent solution when I needed supplies for my pets.

The cashier we had noticed that we were buying puppy food ans suggested their coupon book. We saved money on the puppy food right away. Very helpful and friendly.

Sometimes it is hard to get assistance with crickets. Their selection of reptile supplies has been getting increasingly worse as time goes on, but I can always find what I need for my cat. Plus they accept competitor coupons and expired coupons which I appreciate

They are always extremely helpful and always try to give you the best deal. The store is always clean. They usually have adoption events for puppies and cats over the weekend. And the best part is they do process match!

We take our rambunctious 7 month old puppy here for puppy classes every week and we love our trainer Dylan. My pup actually looks forward to going! Dylan has been fantastic to work with and has really personalized our training sessions and given excellent advice. We appreciate his force free positive reinforcement approach and endless patience! All the staff we have encountered are friendly and deliver great service!

Good selection, but prices cheaper at Wal Mart for food and leashes. I like that the staff is nice to your pets and offers treats. If you go for grooming, ask for Jax, she is the best. One down side, they do not let you pet the cats in the store cages unless staff are on call and the hours are strange there. Another thing, I find it odd that they do not have pet rats available, only hamsters.

The store itself is just fine. My problem was in treating or loving if you will animals. I do not think store employees understand what love for animals really is. So even known store rating might be higher than the one I give, but in my book dog is family and they decided to treat my family with cold blooded heart.

My daughter and I adopted a wonderful 2.5 year old black labrador. We lack some knowledge on what to feed him. So many brands but we want the best for our Sammy. We had a wonderful lady who helped us choose the right food for Sammy and also educated us on the ingredients and diet. PetSmart is doing business right. Took my shiba inu puppy here almost 11 years ago for some training and, to this day, shes a model citizen. Will probably take the next puppy there too, once she hits 10 weeks old.

Great customer service one of the best Petsmarts Ive been to. The cat adoption center has windows into the enclosure so you can see the cats at play or go up and try to interact with them most are usually very friendly. Easy to get to. From Elmhust it takes only 17 minutes.

If I could pick ZERO stars I would. Petsmarts website for ordering online is atrocious. Cant maneuver from cart, items to order, and continued shopping. Could not sign into my account, therefore, could neither use or earn purchase points. Did not get the 10% discount for curbside pickup that Petsmart advertises.

Bought two young gerbils there today. Both are of excellent health and all the other animals there looked to be pretty well taken care of too. The prices on most of the animals and accessories seem very reasonable as well.

Its so easy to shop here because it seems like everyone just loves their job. All the store workers have a smile on their face. And if by chance you do need help, they are more than willing. We do not buy our pet stuff from anyone else, ONLY Petsmart!

I like Petsmart do to its wide variety of items. I also think the cost of frozen mice is not as expensive as other places (I have a ball python snake). I do however think their dog coats are too expensive ranging $25 and up. You need to pay more than $25 if you want a nice one. But if you want to get your dogs nails trimmed or a grooming you will need their shot records, which is a good saftey precaution. I didnt have mine so I just took my dog to his vet and it was cheaper. Hes a boxer and doesnt need a fancy hair trim so he doesnt get to go to the salon 💇‍♀️ but yes, Petsmart is usually my go to place for pet supplies.

They have a doctor on staff training classes going on grooming and food for any pet you may have. Glamour products to keep your pet looking and smelling good.🤗

I paid extra money for 30 mins of hair brushing. When I picked my dog up the lady said she brushed for 20 mins! Then as my dog was shedding everywhere she said I could come back in a day or two and they could brush her again but of course that would be even more money. I paid $62 for special wash and extra hair brush out to help with shedding and did not receive what I paid for.

This is the best Petsmart out there, bottom line.
