They have the rudest customer service reps I’ve ever met. I’ve watch them talk to people any kind of way. They are never kind or friendly. I honestly don’t know what their problem is. I saw them be extremely rude to an elderly gentleman today. It was heartbreaking. Another lady in line just left with her package in her hand.
I gave it 1 star. If I could it wouldnt have any. Have not received mail in 4 days. I know I have bills that should be here. Beginning of month no mail and no bills.
There once was a time when going to this post office was a joy, NOT anymore. They now have the most rudest, angry and disrespectful employees that you could have. Im now standing in line at another post office with 10 people ahead of me. I could have had my package delivered here but after the employee, Jay was completely rude to me I left this empty post office and ended up in a busier one with much nicer and more professional staff. Its sad that I live in Downers Grove but have to go out of DG to get quality postal service. I wish they had a zero rating because 1 is too much for them.
Post office 92253 trying to find my forwarded mail since 11/23/20.Spoke to 3 different clerks and 1 supervisor with no results.I don’t know what else I can do. Now they tell me it’s my faultFor filling out wrong form, but can’t produce so called form.
Both women behind the counter were downright crabby and rude.
There were about 20 people ahead of me. The whole process took about one hour. The two employees were great. They were polite and competent.
Fantastic staff, especially Earl! Sometimes its gets busy and they dont have the staff to keep up. It nice that they have a postage dispenser machine that you can use if the line is long. Also it is available after hours because it is in the area with the po boxes that stay open for much longer hours.
The service here is the absolute worst. There is always 1 person working the desk, no matter when I go, and the line is backed up to the door. When you do get to the front of the line, the workers are so depressed in their delivery it is sad. Also, can someone make it easier to buy a roll of stamps so I don’t have to wait in line so long? Ordering on line takes forever.
Poor Customer Service at Downers Grove, IL US Postal Office!! I went to ask for information about a delivery and one of the Customer Service Agents on the front desk had a very bad attitude, not friendly, rude, very aggressive! the way she used to respond my question was disappointing. Obviously, she has not the right skills to work with customers. This is something that should not happened in our community. US Postal Service, please hire people with the right Customer Service skills, not aggressors!
I went to the Downers Grove Post office this afternoon. They had only 1 worker name Jay. The line was very slow. Jay was a very nice lady. My problem is she kept putting her face mask around her chin. Her mouth and nose were not covered. Also there was a man at her counter that kept taking his mask off. She never asked him to put it back on. It’s the law to wear a mask.
Our delivery person Donna is outstanding! Great personality and customer service.
Wheres our mail? People mail to us and we never receive what they have sent us. What is going on quit blaming things on covid 19.

A special thanks to the postoffice dispatcher and mailman for going back and out of the way to deliver a package I sent my son for Christmas. I failed to write his apartment number on the package. When I called the post office with the tracking information the dispatcher got in touch with the mailman who went back to the apartment complex and delivered the package. THANK YOU SO MUCH for caring.
I was waiting in line and there was a guy in front of me who needed help with a passport and the lady working was very rude to him. I didnt appreciate that.
I usually do not go to the main post office but use a satellite drop off location. I recently began dropping off at the main post office on Curtiss in Downers Grove. I shipped 3 packages on the same day...and ALL 3 arrived at different locations damaged. I also found the woman working there (Mary) to be very rude. I dont know why because i print my own labels and she didnt have to do a think except take them. Seriously? I tried calling...dont bother. You cant get thru the menu. I will be going in and complaining however. Worst EVER.

Always have a good experience using this USPS location. The employees at the service desk have always been friendly with me and very helpful, especially Earl. Also appreciate that they try to keep the line moving as quickly as possible, relative to some of the other USPS locations near by.

I absolutely hate the post office. They employ the rudest people on the planet. The line is always incredibly slow and workers are in no hurry to help people. I can’t believe how they treat their customers here.
In office visit is nice, employees there are kind and knowlegeable. However, the 1-800 call number is terrible. The wait time for is between 39 - 53 minutes if you want to talk to a live person.
I love this post office! Great staff, very friendly, truly helpful! Always busy around noon, but the service I have received has always been first rate!
I love this post office! They are super friendly. Except the manager lady, she probably should not be working with the public. She even showed up in her car to holler at a postal employee in front of my own house. Not good.

I was charged a late fee when my box was still open this fee is to rekey the mail box if you are late. So why was I charged!! Charging your customer excessive fees its not only unfair its ridiculous. Im very dissatisfied with this level of customer service and overcharges.

Worst post office, EVER!! Rude employees who are in no rush to help. They only seem to have one to two employees working the counter on any given day. Be prepared to stand in line for at least 15 minutes. I didnt think it was possible but this place is worse than waiting at the DMV.
Just had a terrible customer experience having to do with the attitude of the clerk. I will give her the benefit of the doubt and say that it was in fact the end of the day and Im sure she dealt with complaining customers all day. However, after having a bad day myself her rude attitude really upset me and I will try to avoid returning to this location.
I just called downers grove post office phone rang 15 times. Lady who answered told me her systems were down, call back in 1/2 hour and hung up. Is this proper customer service?
I have paid $2.75 extra to mail out a certificate letter with required A. Signature B. Received By(print name) C. date of Delivery D. Is delivery address different from item. when i got the senders copy all i got was a scribe on the signature portion and every this was blank so i dont know who received the package. I went to GA post office they tried to find a name who signed off on the package they advised me to call Downers Grove IL 60515 U.S Post Office I spoke to a lady by the name of Kiana With utter rudeness horrible and nasty customer service then she hung up and i called back spoke to another lady id as Iwana was a little better then Kiana but did not want to own up to they delivery persons mistake. I paid $2.75 for nothing they didnt do the job i was ripped off. this is why i should have gone with some other Postal service. Some one need to teach Downers Grove department some basic customer service.
Earl and the other staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Certainly no post office is perfect, but the folks in Downers Grove do a great job.
Post office is ok, but postal worker in my neighborhood is TERRIBLE. She hardly shows up, and when she does I can hear her rap music from down the block and shes usually yelling on her earpiece when shes at my mailbox-which is right by my front window. She doesnt pick up mail to go out either. Who picks these ppl to work there?!!? Forget the quotas and hire decent respectable ppl who need jobs.
Weve lived in Downers for over 40 years and we love our Downers Grove post office. However, weve had nothing but issues with our mail recently. We put a stop on our mail delievery for a period of time and they kept delivering. This isnt the first time. After three visits to the post office and speaking to a long time employee/supervisor, I was assured that the mail would be stopped. That didnt happen and they even gave me a form that it was verified. I came home the other day and the mail was blown all over the yard, wet. I was able to speak with the mailman (which we love) the next day and he explained that he had a cancelation on the stop delivery...which didnt happen? He was going to notify the post office right away which we appreciate. Its not that it a very big deal, however when I ask for something and they approve, I expect them to follow thru just as if I was asked to do something. Come on guys, lm not looking for a person to get in trouble or some type of compensation free mail...lets just get this fixed...please. Thank you very much.
Check sent out in the mail never delivered, some excuse about the machines. This causes me money not them will stop using the post office and pay online it works better.
I tried twice to have my mail forwarded to a PO box here and they refused to get it right. Should have paid more attention to the 2 star rating they already had
Horrible customer service, Lied to me about delivery, never delivered items. MGR was rude and incompetent and disrespectful. Wish I could report this behavior -_- shame on them. He doesnt deserve a job there
I ebay so I use USPS a lot. This location has difficulty scanning their parcels and now has even lost one causing me loads of trouble. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION if you are tracking your parcel as they dont scan it in - causing lots of confusion. Staff has a list of excuses but I still dont have my package.
People need to lighten up. Youre not that important.
