I work in the hospice industry and routinely get asked about end of life services. Recently I was spending time with the wife of a dying husband and we were just looking at Facebook together, while her husband slept. (Sometimes I just stay and chat with the family because its so hard on them to watch their loved one die). What a coincidence that we had been discussing her options about burial and cremation. Her husband had said (one of the first things he said to me when I met him a few months back) was that he wanted the cheapest option, because as he put it, I cant complain anyway. Nevertheless, when we saw the video for Neptune and how friendly Sarah looked, my client decided to call. After watching the Facebook video about the brother and sister and seeing how friendly Sarah looked, I called Neptune to have Sarah help my best friend. Sarah took care of all the cremation paperwork and made things very easy. She also provided her with a ton of useful information that someone needs to know when navigating the loss of a loved one, like all the things that someone needs the death certificate for (several I would have never thought of), and how to file for social security death benefits. My best friend told me that everything was so clean and perfect and the staff, especially Sarah made this so much easier than they ever thought. A family member passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, and we were at a loss of what to do. I remember thinking about whether I should arrange for a burial or look to cremation. While I was posting on my facebook account the sad news, coincidentally I saw a video for the Neptune Society right here in Downers Grove. l thought..thats a weird coincidence, so I checked them out on Google and saw that they had nothing but great reviews and we called them. I must say that Sarah was very kind, and helped is to understand what a great option cremation can be. I realize its not for everyone, we have always done traditional burial, but this death was so sudden, and we didnt have a plot. Sarah explained that now more than 50% of America chooses cremation and walked us through the ins and outs of it. For us, it wasnt about saving money - for us it was just simply what is the best option for us, right now? That turned out to be, far and away, cremation through Neptune. Christopher and staff were extremely responsive to all of our questions and concerns. They were very professional and empathetic. My mom made arrangements with Neptune Society before her death, so when it happened much sooner than anyone would have expected, like 20 years sooner, it was a relief to have the details already taken care of. Loosing a loved one is a traumatic experience and talking about it before hand was quite morbid; however when the dreaded day came knowing the services were pre-arranged allowed us to focus on the grieving process. Without The Neptune Society we would be stuck in a huge learning curve of requirements and procedures plus the last minute costs that are very expensive. It is such an emotional relief having the support that my parents provided by proactively working with The Neptune Society. RIP Babka and Dedo we love you and miss you so much.

Losing my husband of 50 years has left a hole in my life. Fortunately We was told about the Neptune Society by his brother-in-law. From the first contact their staff were ever present. They came out and met with us. I think it reassured Jack that I would be comforted throughout this process and I was. The ongoing contacts. Sadly, this is the third time in a year and half that Ive interacted with the Downers Grove, IL Neptune Society, after losing both of my elderly parents and recently my Mother-in-law. I cant express how helpful they are during a difficult time. My folks cremations were prearranged, which helped reduce some stress, but they were just as responsive when my Mother-in-law passed suddenly.
