Highly recommended! Very pleasant & helpful staff. Having been a patient at this office years ago but new insurance wasn’t covered after trying to find another Dr covered by insurance for YEARS, I chose to lay out of pocket because I had been very happy with my entire experience with this office & was at my best while here Dr Schmidt is very accommodating, kind, very compassionate & knowledgeable Dr Schmidt & staff do anything they can to make your life just a little bit easier the compassionate “bedside manner” makes you feel like your the only patient, personalized care to help me be my best. My only regret is not coming back to this office sooner. If more Dr & staff had the levelOf care I feel I have here the world would be a much more compassionate & less judgement in the world. My ADHD is now my strength instead of feeling embarrassed or letting it control me. The best medical office I’ve encountered in years honestly. You feel very welcome.

My doctor is great but I dont like when I call and just have to leave a message. No one ever calls back when you leave a message and if you want to make an appointment, they make one for you without consulting with you about when a good time for you is. I dont like the fact that you never get to talk to a live human.

The doctor was great but the paperwork, constantly, and the ridiculous mask wearing, hand sanitizing and temp check make zoom the way to go. I felt like I was some diseased person going into quarantine. I definitely won’t return until they go back to treating clients like human beings. Until then it will have to be Over the computer. Plus they didn’t even know what 42CFR.2 was!!!!!

Please do not get involved with this facility! The doctors will push pills without even looking at you. For a long time. Oh, and then they will leave you to painfully withdraw from the meds when they decide it’s time to cut you off cold turkey. Ahem, Dr. Neimark in particular. Oh and he also weighs you.....why? Not necessary. This is invasive for a male doctor to weigh someone being treated for psychiatric issues. This is a pill factory - STAY away! Oh and the office staff is less than pleasant to work with. No wonder they changed the name

I have seen Dr. Schmidt for years and get a Rx through him.I have no issue there. However for two days now, I have been trying to get scheduled to get set up with a Therapist and have left voicemails after being redirected by the front desk. I even use to see a Therapist when it was Chestnut Hill Counseling and filled out the NEW forms 2 days ago at the Patient Portal. I saw online that the Dover Office is open until 7PM and haven’t received even one call back. To me, this isn’t a good way to treat Calls from people seeking a Therapist and especially sounding a little upset when the person calls.

Ive been a long term patient of Dr.Naimark. Hes basically responsible for saving my life and giving me the quality of care typically only received in big cities, like Boston. When I first started going to this practice, the service provided at the front desk was horrible. It seemed that the employees needed the same psych services as the patients. They seemed miserable. In the past couple of years, the service provided has improved so much that I no longer have a panic attack when I need to call or have an appt. Isnt that ironic, a panic attack to visit or call your mental health provider! The bottom line is, please dont hesitate to make an appt with one of the providers at this practice.

Same as I see with the previously poor reviews ... Ive called a few times and I still dont have a new patient packet! I even spoke to someone who said stop by and it will be at the front. Never mentioned the building was covered in new construct, with no numbers or names on doors. After finding a small (dont-blink-or-you-will-miss-it) sign pointing towards a door. I will spare the unpleasant details and cut right to the chase-I went in only to leave with nothing. Its too bad bc children dont do well on backburners and every place I call isnt taking new patients n I get added to another waitlist..

Wow, maybe Im the one whos crazy, but never have I ever experienced any of the situations most of the other one-and-done reviewers have posted. Ive seen various professionals here for well over 10, maybe even 15, years and its been very positive throughout. Ive paid co-pays, deductibles, out of pocket, etc. If you want to believe the insurance companies arent to blame for your payment experience, that is your right...but youre incorrect in your belief. And those of you posting negativity regarding their psychiatrists, its about time you put down the TV remote. There are (obvious) fundamental differences between psychiatrists and psychologists (and for good reason!). Again, I might be crazy, but you my can take this review seriously (or dont...again, thats your right), but Im certainly not what you might consider a fairweather reviewer. Those of you with 1-3 reviews, using some lame/fake name, posting most/all negative...really? Maybe its you. Shame! Go get some help.

I tried to call to schedule and appointment for something I know my insurance covers. The lady was very cold and unsympathetic and told me that I had to pay $300 “right now” in order to be scheduled for an appointment. I asked her if she would take my insurance and without asking for my insurance she confidently stated that my insurance will not cover this particular session. I now know she wouldn’t know that without running my information first. I told her I can’t pay that much right away, and she didn’t care. I asked for payment plans and they have none. They don’t even have a HIPAA compliant email!

Unbelievable how they treat people here. The final straw was calling them several times and leaving numerous messages trying to get a hold of someone at the office with them never calling me back. Ive found that the only way to talk to someone is to physically drive there and see them in person.Aside from their office staff being consistently impersonal and rude, Ive also had bad interactions with both their counselors and psychiatrists. The counselor after 2 sessions literally said to me well, I cant help you but if want to just come in and talk about your week then you can. Needless to say I didnt return. Visiting psychiatrist, when seeking help I was just asked what I wanted to be prescribed. Not being a doctor, I wasnt expecting to be asked for advice. Throughout the sessions I felt like I was an inconvenience and that he was rushing to get me out the door despite sessions typically starting late and lasting roughly 5 minutes. When seeking help I was just asked what I wanted to be prescribed.I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

The main receptionist was not helpful to me and left me back at square one. I have a health benefit plan through my service with AmeriCorps, which will cover services with any provider. At my request, the office was not willing to call the health benefit plan to understand it. They assumed it is regular insurance that they do not accept, when I was trying to tell them it is not insurance, but a health benefit plan. I am completely displeased with the service and low effort to learn something knew.

Not only are you charged 80-90 dollars for a late cancellation fee which is outrageous, but the reason I cancelled was because my therapist FELL ASLEEP IN MY SESSION. My new doctor has told me that she has patients who through the same office had the same doctor fall asleep in their appointments as well. If you cant stay awake its time to retire. I also have no idea when these people are in the office. I have been trying to contact them all week and receive no call backs after leaving many messages. I should have paid attention to the reviews. On my first visit, I saw the Dr and he didnt listen to why I was there. After less than 15 minutes of point blank yes or no questions, he wrote a prescription for a medication which I took 1 pill and threw away. He clearly had no interest in helping me. Also, I received a bill for my copay, which I had already paid at the office. I have tried calling and getting it taken care of but like the reviews they are horrible at communication. The front desk girl was actually very nice and sweet but even that doesnt make up for the horrible overall practice they have.

My provider depended on the medications samples left by big pharma to determine my medication. I began on the regime subscribed for Bipolar disorder and became, unknowingly, sicker and sicker until I suffered from delusions and psychosis. My current psychiatrist helped me get off all of my meds and I returned to a full functioning woman with hope for the future. I blame my doctor who was more interested in promoting drugs and not taking the time to see the whole person.

My past experience would be the same as the others: good doc, really poor office. Ive been with that practice for a few years and that has been my experience too. Simple questions were responded with disgusted looks. However, the last two days has been just the opposite. The office staff has all been changed with new people. I have found them to be pleasant and helpful. They even smiled at me!! One thing they have that I still think is BS: If you ask for a med refill while NOT at a scheduled appointment, (ie; from home) there is a $10 charge and they still will not call a prescription in. I work with 8 different hospitals and doctors at this time and nobody else does that. So big improvement IMHO.

I have been a client with CHCA for nearly 2 years. My experience has been quite positive. Good LSW and Psychiatrist. Office staff does their best be mindful some days are better than others - even for us..I have previously worked in a busy medical providers office - a physical and mental challenge . I understand the daily chaos in this field as part of a normal workday. .I have been in and out of therapy for many years. Life and circumstance change especially in todays work environment. Sadly and unfortunate it does impact and us We can be impatient when in need..I have found that counseling and Psychology is only part of our healing process. The hardest work we will ever do is within us. Negative comments are a personal perspective. Not helpful to seeing the beauty around and within ourselves.Behavioral Health provides the tools to process experiences, survive the traumas, doubts of self worth and whatever brings us to this place called personal hell. Change is a critical step to our self healing. Each and every time we face these stressors it is a stepping stone to reach our inner peace which enables us to learn how to accept and change what we can, accepting there may not be resolutions everything. You and I will better understand it is not our fault - self forgiveness will be the most important of all lessons we can learn so we can move on. Easily said than done. Its within our own power that we choose our future directions in life. In the end it IS an accomplishment to be content with. Most of all when we have the courage to admit when we are weak and work towards self empowerment and face our futures with courage it brings us strength. Imagine a life without conscience or forgiveness its the maze we never get through or the bridge we never cross. .Best of success to every commitment we choose for positive life ahead of us....... STAY STRONG

Sadly I have to give a low review because of the office staff as well. I adored my therapist here, but the office staff has always been rude, standoffish, and difficult to get ahold of for anything. As a facility that deals with those that are struggling with mental health, their lack of sensitivity is especially offputting to the point where I didnt want to come anymore. They will ignore you while youre standing at the window instead of acknowledging that youre even there and a few times I could have only described their behavior as mean. Ive been trying to get ahold of them for severql few weeks about the bills I keep receiving- Ive made a few payments on them but the total never seems to go down but no one will return my call to discuss it. You can never get a real person on the line. I would just pay them all off and be done with it to avoid collections but I cant even do that.Update: I was able to finally call the front dest and get a human who told me they dont have anyone for billing which is why no one is getting their calls returned. If you leave a message for billing as directed to do your call will never be returned.

While my counselor is superb, the front end staff are amazingly bad. Rude, abrupt, wont acknowledge someone standing in front of the closed glass while on a call (you can nod or smile, its OK, no one will get mad at you). Failure to return phone calls - you name it, if its customer service related, theyre bad at it. Just one anecdote - my pharmacy called in to renew a prescription, and got back to me that after five days and three requests, there had been no response. I call in to find out whats up, and no one will return my calls either. I finally had to storm down there, empty bottle in hand, to get a refill on my bipolar meds. The doctors seem a bit overworked but do a good job, but for the love of pete, someone hire staff that can do the basic jobs required in a medical practice. You are working with people who are taking needed medications. Treating them as an aside to your real job is indefensible.

Where do I begin? The receptionist is rude, and doesnt handle paperwork well at all. My new patient paperwork went missing twice, and they are billing me for an appointment that I already paid for. The psychiatrist was also quite rude and cold. No eye contact, belittled me, mocked me, told me I was faking my illness because at the time he saw me I happened to be in a manic upswing from my bipolar. Wouldnt perscribe me the medications that I was already on and had been recommended for by the hospital, and told me that I had to put myself back on a waiting list to see another psychiatrist at SMHC that I was already on FOR OVER A YEAR AND A HALF. I now have crazy amounts of hospital bills since I have been in and out of the BHU all this time since nobody had been able to prescribe me anything for this lovely year and a half. I am an adult, and was treated like a child that nobody wanted around while I was there. Was not treated with respect or dignity, and overall I got the impression that they just didnt care. Not impressed.
