On June 16 my world changed when adriver came into my lane to pass cars in herlane and hit me head on. While my lawyergot to work Avis was suggested as theother parties insurance was required to payfor a rental. I took an Uber there afterspeaking to the owner and met her thereand I was required to come out of pocket.At the time I only had enough funds tocover the required deposit on a bank debitcard. She turned us away because it wasnta credit card. My lawyer then set up a rentalwith enterprise. To sum it up, Travers did infact pay and MY same debit card wascharged $1100.00 for the time of the rental!Can you imagine the pay day they missed?My point is Black owned business have abad rep. It often feels like were too regal todo whats good for business like wereowed something. I wouldve rather gavethem the money but I wasnt good enough,having a credit card with just a few hundreddollars on it. Please, stop giving awaybusiness. Its just not wise at all. And worse than that, I saw a few reviews… maybe it’s being egotistical over business. That’s not good at all
My daughters 1st time renting a car and a bit nervous was trying to accommodate the request of the female employee and not entirely understanding asked some questions (me on speaker) was screamed at twice, I quote, “GET THE F OUT OF MY STORE. GET THE F OUT OF HERE!”Daughter leaves in tears walking and now I’m leaving work to get her, the church let her sit inside until I arrived.Needless to say, she didn’t get the car. Will miss work again tonight. But the repair on her car is cheap. We will have it tomorrow.What is this place?
If I could give zero stars I would. I reserved a luxury car for my youngest son’s prom. I called 2 hours before pick up to confirm the car would be ready. We were told yea by the owner. We arrive to pick up the car and the owner tells us corporate Avis people just came and took his only 2 luxury cars. He said they were aware he had a customer that reserved it but since I was only renting for 1 day and they were renting for more than 1 day and they are corporate they come first. I was devastated my plans to have my son driven to the prom by his big brother in a nice luxury car was ruined. The owner of Avis branch told me that corporate was aware and basically didn’t care they told him to give it to the corporate people because again they’re corporate. So here I was stuck running late; my youngest child’s prom about to be ruined. Thank God Enterprise on Highway 5 came to the rescue 5min before they closed and saved the day and took care of us. Any business that puts corporate over their customers is doomed to fail. What Avis missed out on is I rent a SUV every weekend during college football season to go see my other son’s football games. I will never leave Enterprise ever again for Avis that puts corporate over customers. Go up the street to Enterprise they match price and take care of customers not corporate!
I am Avis Preferred & have never had a problem for 8yr. I had a car reserved for Memorial Day Weekend. I went up & spoke with them to make sure I could get a car @ 8am because I had a work event that I had to be on time for. I was told that it wouldn’t be a problem & to call the evening before to make sure they had a car. I called & all was set. I arrived at 8am & was told I had to “verify” my rate code. I said, “ok, what do you need?” After me showing my email, etc, he told me that he couldn’t honor my rate & the rate would be much higher because of the “new policy”!! IT’S BOGUS! I’ve rented 2 Avis cars since & was told there was no problem with my company rate code. He was trying to Jack me for the holiday weekend. Don’t rent from these guys. I can’t stand dishonesty. They could have told me the night before they didn’t have a car but knew I had a time crunch & thought I’d pay the higher price. They were wrong & I hope this helps someone else be wary.
I used the prepay service online to reserve a car. 40 minutes before pick-up I receive a call from a representative with an Oh well, your problem attitude, stating that there are no available cars, offers no solution and lets me know that It will be up to 5 days before i receive a refund. On top of that I need to call customer service myself to initiate a refund. When I reached customer service the representative use the term if your refund is approved. This is after THEY broke the contract!
The Avis Car Rental location in Douglasville Ga. needs to do some work on getting vehicles for customers in a timely manner. My experience this last time was just as bad as the time before.Now, I get rental cars from here about 2 to 3 times a year. Everytime I reserved a vehicle a month in advance there is an issue. The vehicle I requested was never there. There were times I had to wait almost 3 hours for my vehicle to show up. And this last, the vehicle I requested hadnt even arrived, so this time they gave me something totally useless for my needs. And it was nasty on the inside.Needless to say, I had to call customer service to register another compliant about the Douglasville location. This time Avis customer service made it right by giving me an adjustment on my bill. Normally I dont complain about stuff like this, but the Avis in Douglasville has done this to me one too many times.Unfortunately, this Avis is the only one in an area where i dont have to travel so far to get to a rental. So, Im left to having to use them. And i will. And if things are messed up on my next rental, Ill do the same thing by calling customer service. At least they took care of me.
Great to finally be able to turn car in. Paperwork showed Douglasville, but they were closed. After several phone calls to corporate, told to go Lithia Springs. Still dont understand why when picking car up they didnt know Douglasville was closed on day to return.

With the change in management has come the worst customer service.Donte is terrible. I guaranteed a rental on-line of a luxury vehicle. He refused to have Avis send a replacement for a car with an expired tag, and only offered one vehicle (a downgrade compact SUV). but he would not adjust the rental rate. He told me to call CSV if I wanted help. When I asked him his last name, he called the police. Luckily I was able to get a full refund of my rental deposit but will never rent from Avis until they get rid of him.
Booked a Suburban a month in advance. Confirmed days before. Called the morning of and they only have a Van. This wasn’t what I requested. I am only going to Enterprise for my rentals because I have never had any issues. I will never follow a lower price over quality and customer service!

I do think they should hire someone else to stay in the store with Tray so he can come out and do a walk around when you rent though. He was the only one in the store when we were there. I think someone should have been there to help him, but he was very nice and professional and we really appreciated him.
Trae and his team always accommodate my rental needs. This is my go-to location.
Was able to rent a car without any problems. But the problem comes in when you need to return your car on a Sunday. I had to extend my car rental so they charged me extra for that. Which didnt make any sense to me . Then they dont have a drop box so that you can return your car before they open up. So if you have to return your car on Sunday and they dont open till 11. You get charged for another whole day. Its a big inconvenience for them to not have a drop box. And because of that I end up getting charged an extra hundred dollars.
I never had a problem. Reserve my car online and it was always ready once I get there. The cars are clean and the staff is amazing.

I absolutely love this location. All the gentleman I’ve dealt with there are very professional and courteous. This is the only location I visit. Even when they are booked and out of cars they go above and beyond.
Arrived to pick up rental at 9:10am was told they have no cars and they didnt know what time because there was a stop in Athens, so unprofessional and unreliable made this reservation days ago and here it is on a Saturday no one knew there wouldnt be any cars until the Morning when I arrived to pick it up. Thank god for Enterprise drove out at 10am with a rental.
Terrible customer service. The lady that works the front desk is never in the office. The bald big guy was a complete jerk for no reason. Would not recommend renting from here.

The reliability here has gone down hill, I reserved a vehicle, pre-paid and was told that they didnt have it the night before. They said the fleet would bring between one between 12-1pm, but my reservation was for 9am. 1pm rolled around and they still didnt have a vehicle or an ETA. This ruined my entire trip. They directed me to a 1-800 number to get my money back. There was no effort to try to rectify the situation or compensate me for my lost time.
Used this place a few times. While the process was all of 5 minutes or less, I did have to sit waiting for them to open, during their business hours on more than one occasion. Other then that, if all your things are legit, youre in and out very quickly..
This company is scamming out pepole of there money. I was charged 165.17 for a 3 day rental. Then when it was clean inside and out. So after i look at my bank statements it was charge 440. 17 turn they charge me 275.00 for some ashes, and i dont!! Even smoke.Rental be aware of this location
I have used this Avis location for several years when our family needed a car for special trips. This service is always friendly and quick.
Not doing budget or avis again. Must be the only options for me to go back.

This place is horrible!! After waiting outside, the rep comes to let us in, doesnt even speak or greet us. Didnt say Good Morning, or sorry for your wait. Head to counter, his body language is still very unfriendly. Still no greeting. He did not go over any of the contract just told me to sign by X. Still nothing said to me as pleasantries. He gives me keys. I look out in parking lot, looking lost. He doesnt leave his spot. He does not even attempt to walk to show me car. I call to report to the franchise owner, the owner response is something like he is not a talkative guy. Wrong response. Spend your money elsewhere.

This location has exceptionally poor service. Let me outline the process before I explain.1. The door was locked during normal working business hours. Who does that?2. On the door was a number to call to get service, so I called it. The attendant opens the door a few minutes later...smh3. The rental car had tires so bald, the threads were showing. I contacted avis on what should be done. They started I could make an exchange4. The exchange took place after a lengthy waiting period5. I asked the assiciates was there anything else I needed to do, they started there was nothing else they need of me6. I filled up the gas tank before I returned the car7. When I went to return the car, the note was on The locked door again. I had to call to get the business to open The doors during business hours (again, who does this)8. I returned the car to find I was assessed $100 for not having gas in the tank of the car I exchanged. Noone told me I had to pay the gas fee for an exchange. Had I known I WOULD have filled it upI told this to Trey, the attendant, and in his flippant response, he promised me that I passed at least 1 gas station on the way to Avis for the exchange. THE CAR WAS EXCHANGED BECAUSE THE TIRES WERE BALD!!! Trey didnt care, then confirmed again that the situation was my fault.Avis, FIX THIS. Someone with a modicum of business acumen and an understanding of what customer service is needs to run this office. Trey is horrible. The longer he works there, the more business hes going to lose for you.He promises.
I will never rent from here again, very poor customer service, reserved a car a day before and they waited until I got to the location to tell me they didnt have a full size but for the same price I could rent the last car they had there for the same price but It was a compact, I declined and went to Enterprise. About a two weeks later I needed another rental car for the weekend, went to the location and the door was locked, note said call to get in. I asked was he on break he told me no, I said shouldnt the door stay open incase someone comes to rent something, he told me bluntly I OWN THIS BUSINESS. No problem I said. I got my car for the weekend and returned it (had to call to gain access to the building at 1130 am) with a full tank, we walked around everything was ok, 3 months later I get a letter saying I ERO TIRE damage and it was 102.50. After I googled ero tire (cut in tire) lol I called to asked why wasnt this seen at the time of return, he told me he didnt know. I guess since he own and operate his business he charge and open when he wants. But 3 months later wow. Dont rent here

We had a reservation for dec 26th and they gave our rental to someone who made a reservation a couple days in advance and we made our reservation months before that. We missed our hotel teservation and dealing with avos on hwy 5 in douglasville sucks. I will never use them again. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Had reservations at 830am only to get there no one was there and they open at 8am waited til 9 still no one. But by looking at the parking lot wasnt any cars to really choose from. Had to go somewhere else.
They dont understand for any reason, they charged me over $170 additional for just an hour I over stayed my time. I dont recommend.
