I love planet fitness! For less than $30 a month, I can work out everyday, tan, get on hydro massage chair, and massage chair. Staff is nice and place is clean.

You dont shine if you dont grind 💪🏽

Walked into the gym and was told I had to have a mask on. I looked around the gym floor and not a soul had a mask on. She said it’s because they are working out. Explain how the Covid virus knows when you are working out and when you are tanning or walking in the gym. I guess planet fitness is following its own science, science fiction that is! If you have the shot I can’t catch it nor can you. I ended my membership here. I can’t be around uneducated and stupid folks!

The Dothan Planet Fitness is awesome! I went today, its not my usual gym I go to but I was in town and decided to try it. The facility is spotless. Everyone was wiping their machines with the provided disinfectant after they were done and the staff is super nice. I decided to use the Hydromassage bed after my workout and almost fell asleep it was so relaxing! It makes me want one for my home. I did use the tanning beds and they were in good proper working condition. The only negative I have about this particular facility is that in my PF you have a dressing room with curtains in front of each shower. For people like me who are really modest having to shower and walk across to the changing room is a little uncomfortable. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be back.

I use to enjoy going to this gym and felt that there was a level of professionalism. However, in the past few months, I’ve been very disappointed in how social distancing is not being taken seriously here. At least in the afternoon hours. I often see the employees with their masks off while interacting with people closer than 3 feet. It makes me feel very uncomfortable when I’m trying to check-in at the front desk and the employees are gathered in a group with their masks off. Often in my hour of being there, I never see it on them. Social distancing on the machines is not being followed and there is little monitoring of it if there is any. I’ve had to move numerous times off machines because people move the sign off the machine and stand right next to me. I don’t know if it’s like this every hour here but lately, in the afternoons, it is. Overall I do enjoy this gym and would recommend people here. Its just lately in the afternoon hours there seems to be a lack of following guidelines.

Hi Dothan this is yr local guide. Posting my view on planet fitness. Although Im not a member I have friends and family that are and they 💘 it. They speak very highly of the gym, and of the trainers. The overall setup of the gym is great. Its spacious and clean. Theres a lot of equipment to choose from, and the staff is very friendly!!!!! Will definitely recommend this gym to others!!!!!!!!

Never saw an employee until I left. Didnt check in, wondering why I had to pay if no one is checking. 2 Young girls in their twenties using the machines, never cleaning after, and of course no staff to do anything.

Great facility, great equipment. The 1 star is because of the lack of care of members not wearing mask and staff not enforcing the mask mandate that is plastered on all the doors and common areas. Why put mandatory mask signs, if you dont enforce the policy. I could be wrong but I think there is still a mask mandate. Not sure if its because of the good ol boys demographic not wanting to wear mask or lack of care from staff. I hate such a nice gym has to deal with ignorant people.

Front desk employees are very nice. Place is laid back and you can work out with out the Drama of feeling unwelcome. Place is clean and lots to do.

Worst drink selection ever, they only carry Pepsi products! When coke and other vendors have better drinks. For god sakes they host pizza and birthday party’s there ?!?! What gym eats cake while on the treadmill. Last but not least I had this one lady come up to me and say I can’t wear a cut off shirt or I can’t lift what I want to lift in there ? What kind of gym is this I won’t be going back. I’ll go to the CrossFit or crunch after my experience here good lord.

They really do a great job, if I ran the place Id be givng out raises. Without great employees there are no great businesses.

Everything I needed for a great workout. Very clean and all of the machines worked. The benefit of having the black card is being able to go to different locations around the country. Planet Fitness has always done right by me in whatever state Im in. I cant say that about other gyms Ive had memberships to.

Do not give this company your banking information. I was charged even though my account was on hold and I havent been able to get a refund. I was told I would receive a refund in 21 days, its been over a month and I still dont have my money back. Every time I call they say it takes longer and longer. Mistakes happen but they are in no hurry to correct this mistake and are often rude when I call. This is not the type of company you want to do business with. I have contacted the manager several times and each time Im told they are backlogged on refunds. Ill remove or update the review if I ever receive my refund.Update...I finally received the refund. It took 2 months to get my money back.

I really like this Planet Fitness I truly believe for 10.00 a month this is the best deal in town for gym membership. They have everything I need to work out with machines and a whole variety of free weights and countless stretching devices. I have ask for help with using some of the equipment and everyone I have ask knew exactly how to use the machine and how to explain its use to me. I’m 65 and go to the gym more now that I’m retired and I am always impressed with how clean the facility is and how friendly the staff is. They have a large locker room with showers and it is always clean with plenty of room for everyone. I wholeheartedly recommend this gym to one and all.

It is a good place to exercise. They have a trainer that can work with you. The employees are very helpful in showing you around and how to work machines if you dont know how. Employees are nice. Comfortable place to workout no matter how little, big, handicapped or anything else. I love exercising there.

Very clean and well kept. Get use of space, equipment is spaced out and have plenty of room to work around. You can tell its a little older gym, definitely needs to upgrade all the equipment. But what they have is in good condition.

PF doesnt have to worry about me using ANY of their facilities anymore. I was told by a staff member I couldnt jump rope in there. Welp, their loss, not mine....

They need to update their equipment like other gyms

The hydro massager is a great item to use after your work out or even after work. Swing in get a massage and go. Planet fitness is very clean. Sanitation stations are located all throughout the building

If i could give this gym a no star i would! The employees are super rude and not helpful in the least. Save your money and go to a better friendlier gym.

This facility is awesome. The staff are always willing to help and give encouragement. The facility is also very clean the equipment is pretty much always spotless the bathrooms are clean and never stink. This Dothan location is awesome. The manager is encouraging and the staff is attentive. The location is very clean. I love Planet Fitness and the Dothan location is by far the best I ever used. Its because of Planet Fitness that I am determined to get healthier.

Planet F is very clean and the staff is constantly keeping up the standard. ItsEnjoyable to work out at this planet fitness is most of the staff knows me by name now and greets me when I enter. It’s like being home away from home

I was pleased with the place. Very clean. I have the upgraded membership and am really liking all the extra stuff they have. Especially the hydromassage beds.

Great equipment and staff is always welcoming. Theres always equipment open and even with so many people there it still feels like youre to yourself. Definitely a Judge Free Zone.

Maybe more than 3 stars but it depends on what a person wants in a gym. It is very affordable. At this gym you have to use a Smith machine to do deadlifts & squats & barbell bench presses. I dont like that. There are many treadmills, elliptical machines, & stair steppers. The locker rooms are excellent.

Most of the staff are friendly & I just enjoy being there.

Planet Fitness has been trying to carve out a niche for itself as a gym where so-called normal people can exercise in a “judgment-free zone” but ironically they can’t quite seem to accomplish that goal without coming across as judgmental themselves. i have been around the Fitness Industry for a long time and i have worked in a few place and never have i been judged due to my tattoos and for a place that even says they are a judgment-free zone even with there employment this is a lie . now mind you this is not for all of them i have friends who work in a few Planet Fitness in NC, OH, CO and they are covered in tattoos but the dothan location is not a judgment free zone and . aging it may just be this location . and the fact that it is the deeps south where the people are not as nice and friendly as it clams to be . if you do not want to be judged do not go to this location there are some very good gyms around the area look into them before this place .

Im only giving 5 stars for customer service, great monthly rate, and abundance of equipment. If you want to deadlift and squat, better dumbbell it or use the Smith machine. Difficult to bench, squat, and dead on the machine, but hey it WILL work and you can rack pull alot! If your looking to grow and on a budget, you CAN get big! Otherwise if your looking to excel and Athleticism, gain strength, and endurance, this is more than place for you. Nice shower facilities as well. But hey dont bring your gallon jug in. Its not allowed. What a dumb corporate rule, but Ill abide. $10 a month is worth it!

It would be a good gym for the monthly fee if it didnt also have a hidden yearly fee that we arent warned about ( the employees dont mention it and its far down the contract in tiny print. It took me forever to find it when i was told it was there, not knowing it was there i would never have saw it)and an outlandish cancellation fee. Over $50 dollars to cancel. Like most gyms today its a payment trap.

Love the 24/7! Great friendly people on staff.. no long waits for the tanning beds or hydro bed.. fantastic weights!! Just a great overall everything!!

Its dirty. They dont clean. Sign said to let staff know. After waiting for staff to finish their personal conversation I informed them some pig left candy wrappers, garbage, and neither the room or the both had been cleaned in a long time. Multiple persons hair and other things in there. Her response was is it bad? never came to look or clean it. Staff needs educated on dangers of infections in gyms

If I could give only a 1/2 star I would have or none at all.Well Mrs. Shannon (the manager) you suck with people skills. When I came in to get my afternoon walk in I was told that there was a problem with my account. (keep in mind I have been with them over 4 yrs) I have had small issue with my account that was brought to my attention and it was a taken care of right away, (new card was needed). BUT TODAY WAS A DIFFERENT STORY!!! All she had to do was let me know that January was not paid for (which again isnt my fault due to the fact that they auto withdraw from my bank). It is now June and I have been in several times and nothing was brought to my attention.Well Shannon (the manager) being the accountant that she is........... or made out to me like she was........ told me that I needed to check my bank account more often..... HMMMMMM. I didnt know that I was going to be schooled on how to keep up with my bank account at lunch when all I wanted to do was walk on the treadmill.Needless to say I just asked her to close the account and that she was excited and willing to do instead of help me to figure out why THEY did not take the money out or let me know that there was even a problem 5 months ago......OH YEAH Shannon (the manager) did tell me that they have 10,000 members and could not keep up with each when they are busy. So you might want to ask when you sign in if there is a problem with your account because they will not catch it until they are slow 5 months down the road.

I put in an application to help the people workout and the manager said they hired someone else.Then later on one of the employees tells me that the employer quit and that they need help. But she doesnt want to hire because they have all the postiiop taken lol. Although its a good gym just need the manager to understand that she needs employees.

This gym has a lot of cardio options. It also has some nice upgrades for black card members such as hydro massage and tanning beds. The space itself is pretty big with plenty of room to move around and not feel like you are in someone elses space. I wish they had some more plate loaded leg machines. If you have gym needs in Dothan, then give this place a try

Good gym for the price. Equipment is definitely geared towards beginner/casual lifters. But I think thats common knowledge at this point.

I worked out here for a while. The equipment was always clean, maintained, and worked properly. The $10/month is a great deal. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because there wasnt any free weights, and it was always really crowded.
