This was the second time my home warranty company sent this man to my home. First he came to install a new oven. He and his partner told us the unit would not fit. They couldnt figure out how to remove the old oven. My husband most of the work. They also refused to haul the old unit away, which my home warranty company told me they would. Today he came to look at my a/c and told my husband it would be $500 to clean out the condenser. My husband just sent him away and again will do the work himself. I have contacted my home warranty company and told them that I do not want this man in my home ever again. They have blocked him from our account. Trust the other reviews. He doesnt know what he is doing and is looking to get more money out of you.
DO NOT USE THIS MAN FOR ANY TYPE OF WORK!!!! If your insurance company recommends him tell them you want someone else. The people that have given him a good recommendation are friends of his, Fake or either very lucky.AHS told us to use A+ Maintenance to work on our AC unit. When I contacted him he was unprofessional but he was nice to me. However He was very short and demeaning to my wife when she first contacted him.When he came to inspect our unit he seemed very flustered and unorganized. He claimed that only the outside unit needed replacing.I didnt think much of it since I dont know anything about HVAC work.Long story short 3 months later the unit was blowing hot. So I had it inspected. The 2 lines that were connecting the inside unit to the outside unit were both leaking freon.I called Mike and he said that he wasnt liable and that it was the insurances problem. Well we called the insurance company and they said that there was only a 30 day warranty on the work that he did.So I contacted professional help and it seems that mike installed an outside unit that was not compatible to our inside unit. Connecting the incompatible units caused extra pressure that cause the leaking issues. Apparently what Mike did was a big No No. Now we are most likely going to have to buy another inside unit that is compatible with the outside unit. And being that our home warranty is now expired we are going to have to pay everything out of pocket. DO NOT USE THE MAN FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!
We had a very pleasant experience with Mike and his assistant. Our microwave stopped heating, so we contacted our home warranty company. A+ Maintenance was assigned the work order, and they came promptly. They told us the microwave was not repairable, reported that to the home warranty company, and the home warranty company ordered a new microwave. Once it arrived at our home, we contacted A+ Maintenance and set up a time to come install it.On both occasions, they were courteous, prompt, and efficient. They gave us a window of time theyd arrive, and then the day of they called when they were on their way. We now have a new microwave thats working beautifully. Not a single complaint!
I got American HomeShield because I had heard good things. Then the first issue i have they send this company. Bad mistake. He was pushy then tried to bribe me into paying him an outrageous price for freon. I had an AC unit issue that needed a replacement part and he refused to replace it unless i paid him 1200 for Freon that was not needed to repair it and I could have had the Freon charged later when I could afford it. I said no and sent him on his way. He was trying to rip me off. Now I have to fight with homeshield to get as new tech or a refund on my deposit because the tech did nothing at all. Do not use this company, i wish i had read the reviews before he showed up.,
DO NOT USE MIKE OR HIS ASSISTANT WITH A+ MAINTENANCE!!!AHS sent him to repair my refrigerator/freezer that had quit cooling. He was totally unprofessional rude, and never fixed my refrigerator. He threw up his hands after 5 minutes and said he didnt know how to fix it. He called Frigidaire and they told him to replace the motherboard. A week later we called him and he had the part for a few days but never bothered calling us. Came back out on 8-14-21 to replace the motherboard and couldnt even do that. So, after almost 3 weeks of no refrigerator it is still not fixed and he refuses to come back out to fix it. Called AHS and they have to get his permission to send someone else??!!! This is totally ridiculous! Everyone needs to boycott this unprofessional, totally rude, unknowledgeable so called repair person!
I was skeptical after seeing the online reviews. Mike was assigned to me by my home warranty company. He worked out a time that would be appropriate to come take a look at my central heat and air unit and promptly got us back up and running. Mike was professional and I would have no problem using him in the future.
During 2019 we had no issues with getting a refrigerator fixed in March. During May, Old Republic sent out the same guy to repair our a/c. It breaks again, and the guy wanted cash to fix it, claiming it wasnt covered by the warranty. Said it should take a few days to finally start working again. (I have learned since then that those words are a scam--once an hvac unit is fixed, its fixed. )Once it is finally unfixable and I ask the home warranty people to never send him again, the other repair techs found he had left his tools in the outside unit. A+ Maintenance was rude, condescending, and unprofessional the whole time. He couldnt even turn the hot water on in my home. I could take a bad attitude if he were proficient at his job, but he was not. He will never set foot on my new property, and I warned the new owners of the home we sold not to call him either.
A+ was assigned to us by our home warranty company. He was very responsive when I called about an issue over the weekend. He provided me with the pricing to have him come on the weekend - the overtime I would have to pay. I decided to wait until Monday so that our home warranty would cover the cost. He arrived at exactly the time he said he would and immediately got to work. He diagnosed and fixed our issue within 20 minutes. There was some initial confusion about the work order because it was under my husbands name, so he couldnt find it. That was the only hiccup we ran into. He was polite, thorough and informative. We would be happy to work him again in the future.
When it comes to your A/C unit do not let Mike come to your house. I’ve already told my home warranty company not to send here again.He told the home warranty company that my duct work was not damage though normal wear and tear. Got my warranty company to send another company here for a second opinion. As I’m writing this review the other company is in the hot attic right now fixing all the duct work because they said it was a very bad install. This guy is just about the money. Tell your warranty company not to ever send him to your home. He was sent here twice. The first time he got the A/C working. He stated the coil was frozen and he added some Freon. When he came the second I told him that there were other issue that needed to be addressed and why did he not notice them the first time he was here. The home warranty company denied the duct work not being covered because of his poor assessment. Thank god my warranty company allows second opinions. Again believe all the negative reviews when it comes to A/C units.
My home warranty sent this company to my home and all they cared about was money. They responded quickly the same day. The two young techs that came out were nice but the owner wanted me to forego my home warranty and just pay $325 outright for a thermostat and to clean my ac unit. He was very pushy and wouldn’t even tell me what was wrong. I will not be using them again and do not recommend them to anyone.
Mike has performed work for me on numerous occasions over the past 6 years including AC repair/maintenance, electrical repair, and appliance repair, & replacement. Each time, Mike has been extremely professional, prompt, through, knowledgeable, and fairly priced. If I could give a ZERO star, I would. Our Home Warranty Company sent this man to check our A/C unit. The man is rude, condescending, and does not want to do the work and doesnt seem to know how to do the work. He came in the house asking questions, but never let me answer. He didnt check the thermostat or anything. Never even let me tell him what was wrong. Walked out to the A/C unit and said he couldnt do anything because he couldnt get to the unit due to trees and brush. He said he could cut down the trees and brush but it would cost me a lot. I was puzzled because I knew he could get to the unit and it was not overgrown with brush. I went and looked at the unit myself, was able to stand next to the unit and had no problems accessing the unit. I took pictures and then he got very smart with me. I told him I would call someone else. He then told me it didnt matter, because I still needed to pay him. This is the second time this man has been to our home for warranty repairs. Rude and unprofessional both times. The first time was to repair a dryer and he ended up damaging the door. We have requested that he not be sent to our home again. EVER. If he comes to your house, turn him away. He cant do the repairs and just wants to be paid.
They were dispatched through American Home Shield to repair my A/C. The tech arrived and tried to tell me the reason that my A/C was not cooling was that it was not the right size unit for my house. He just looked around, never used any instruments to diagnose the system and told me that there was nothing wrong. He said he would follow up and never did, just closed ticket out. I called another company outside of my home warranty and they were able to diagnose a stuck valve within a few minutes! Stay away from this company and American Home Shield
I had been having issues with my a/c all year long. After expressing my concerns with my home warranty, they assigned A+ Maintenance Services Co. Inc. to diagnose my problem. I called Mike at 1.30 and he’d came, diagnosed, and repaired my a/c in less than 24 hours. My house hasn’t felt this cool since I’ve lived in it! He will definitely be getting my services again!
We had a home warranty claim, and this company got assigned to us. A 24 hour period was told to us for him to contact us, he never did. Three days later we had to call the home warranty company because we could not get the guy to answer his phone. They called him while we were on the phone to try and get an appointment made. He made it out like we were an inconvenience and said he was available at these times on Monday, not asking what would work best for us.The guy is rude and thinks he knows everything. He just comes in your house without so much of formal greeting and starts demanding this and that out of you. He did not test our unit to see if it was working the way it should.We had two other companies come out before him, and they both said the same exact things on issues with our unit. When we called him out on stating there was nothing wrong with our machine, he started giving this spill about how old he was, and he has seen things, blah blah blah, and that those companies will say anything to get you to buy from them. I am not okay with this.We asked him to leave because there was no sense in going any further with the service. He may be good at fixing other things, but a/c units are not one. I would not recommend this guy at all.
My warranty company sent this guy to us to look at our dishwasher and ice machine. For starters he claimed he never received the service call request, so after a second attempt he finally made his way out to us. He parked in our yard and we have a very large 3 car driveway!! Then he asked my husband if we were ok with one part being broken if he could fix the other part of the ice machine. And told us our dishwasher would need to be replaced.After 4 days of not hearing from him or our warranty company. We called both, the warranty company had also not heard from him and he stated that he paperwork for us got wet and he had been calling the wrong number. Now if I was a business I would call back all of my phone history until I reached the right person. So my husband gave him all of the correct information once again. And has now told the warranty company that he can not find the part necessary to fix our ice machine, which is funny because my husband had already found exactly what is needed and when talking about it, the guy said well thats where I buy my parts from. And as for our dishwasher it can suddenly be fixed. But he didnt tell us that. He clearly doesnt want to do his job, is a massive liar. He literally said to us, well, I dont know what happened, but my paperwork for wet.He is incompetent, and I have requested to never use him again.
He was assigned by Old Republic Hone Warranty. He was at our home 7 minutes with his helper. He told the home Warranty bogus information that will cost is about 2 thousand dollars. DO NOT USE THIS GUY. HE IS A COMPLETELY USELESS LIAR.
Horrible, DO not USE had to call police!! Mike (owner) came out to my house from a call with my home warranty company. From the moment he came out truly unprofessional! Had no clue what he was doing, looked like he had been asleep in his van all day. I almost didnt let him in. All I got from him was maybe this will work, arguing, and the work not completed. When I told him he would need to take up any further payment with the Warranty company and that I was filing a complaint he became aggressive. I then told him to get off my property, and do not come back on it. He started getting louder and wouldnt leave. i continued to tell him to leave or I would call the police or use force to make him get out of my house and yard. I called the police, before they got here he had finally left. DO NOT LET THIS GUY OR COMPANY IN YOUR HOUSE!! Does not know what he is doing, will try and take your money before work is performed. Im working with the home warranty company to have him removed from their list of providers.
Came out to work on my stove and replaced the part that was needed and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommended.
Honestly I was concerned when A+ was assigned my AHS repair order...BUT, Mike came out Saturday morning, waives his Weekend Overtime Fee and got my air conditioner up and running in less than an hour! He diagnosed the issue and got right on the repair! 👏👏👏👏 I learned a valuable lesson...don’t believe everything you read on the internet! Thank you Mike and Evan!
I’ve been waiting on them to come out since 1 aug 2017. I have to manually drain my washing machine and no ice out of my fridge. The guy I spoke to told me I lived too far out and would let me know when he would be in the area. He called once. I was at work. That’s how that went. He was referenced from my home warranty.
Extremely quick, came when others wouldn’t, had to go back to get parts because I gave the wrong information on what type of Dryer I had. Then came back and fixed it. Whoever is complaining about their service has an axe to grind because A+ has been better than I have ever had in this area.
If I could give him a 0 star I would!! Very unprofessional rude and dosent know his work at all!! Stay away from him!! Tell your home warranty not to use this man!! He just wants your money and can careless about helping with your issues!!
Money Grab ! Was at the home for 20 mins might have put in 6lbs of R-22 but charged for 7lbs at $90 a lb. Never turned a screw or removed a cover. Ridiculous! Never attempted to find the leak! Somehow is qualified and used by our Home Warranty Co. AHS . Needlessly to say...we are never renewing with AHS!We pay 65 a month to AHS, then $125 for a service call then basically $630.00 for R-22.Let me give you an analogy...An example of why this is ALL wrong - take for example, if you have a Warranty on a swimming pool. It has a big crack in the foundation. You call the Warranty Co. Who sends their contractor out who simply fills it with more water and charges you 6 times more than they paid for the water in addition to a service call fee. So it will continue to drain out and you will again repeat this process over and over all the while paying your premiums.
Extremely unprofessional and untrustworthy. He was sent to me by my warranty company, I had prearranged for the payment through the warranty company. On the first phone call he insisted that I would owe him an additional fee. After conversing with my warranty company and confirming that I did not need to pay him anything else his response was Well, well see. After coming out and looking at the dishwasher he was hired to repair, he only diagnosed half of the problem. When I called and asked about the other problems he said that he would come out and fix the first problem and diagnose the rest. After having to reschedule several times because he didnt order the part when he said he would or not showing up when he said he would, he fixed the first problem and said that he couldnt do anything else. I have talked to my warranty company and I am getting a second opinion. I will NEVER have him in my house again and I have already recommended to my warranty company to have his contract with them discontinued.
If there was a way to give negative stars I would. My home warranty company has sent this company twice for repairs and both times the guy was rude and condescending. He was just sent to fix our AC and refused to work on our unit due to not being able to reach the unit because of trees and there might be snakes. Weird, I can walk around the thing with no tree or snake interference. Another company was called and fixed the problem in 20 minutes without being bitten by a snake. Unless you like bad customer service, substandard work and an anti-snake bias, dont call this guy.
Was unprofessional.Came inside to look at my heat pump. Brought in a hose and proceeded to spray water into the drains to unplug a clogged drain. Soaked the floor and the walls and carpet. I had towels (dry by the way) and a bucket in the closet in case there was any dripping while waiting for the tech. He left everything wet and didnt clean up after himself.He was sent by our insurance protection company.
He was sent out by our home warranty to look at our ac unit and told us he would be here at 9:00am he arrived 20-25 mins late. He was very unprofessional I understand that everyone has their own way of doing things but when you are on a service call you do not use profane language. He asked how long we had lived here and said our unit was low on freon and he said he put some in the unit and some treatment in it and hopefully it would work. He also said that we need more insulation in our attic and he didnt care if we didnt eat because he recommends getting more insulation. Very very very unprofessional. Luckily my fiance was here. I felt very uncomfortable with him here even with my fiance here. I will NEVER let him back in my house again. Very displeased.
WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD! HOME WARRANTY COMPANY SENT HIM OUT FOR A REFRIGERATOR ISSUE.. HE PUT IN A BAD PART AND IT SHORTED OUT A FEW DAYS LATER. WHEN I CALLED ABOUT THE ISSUE HE SAID HE WAS AT THE HOUSE A FEW WEEKS AGO.... WRONG! ONLY 3 DAYS AGO. HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON. NO HELP... HAD TO GET ANOTHER COMPANY OUT. WASTE OF TIME AND CUSTOMERS FOOD.
Very unprofessional and did not correct the issue. He stated the problem with our a/c unit was a clogged drain which he stated he unclogged. He then said that should fix it. He said our Freon looked a little low and offered to put more in. Since the unit is new (he was asked if there was a leak he said no)and the home warranty doesn’t cover this AND I saw the other reviews we declined. After a couple of hours the house was still not cooling down we called and left messages. He finally called back the next day and refused to come back stating we declined the Freon. I explained that he said the problem was a clogged drain and only offered to put more Freon in due to it looking a little low. He then became angry and told me to take it up with American Home Shield and would decline if they called him! Very unprofessional and rude!
This is a worthless company. They were contracted by my home warranty company to fix my air conditioner in did not want to work on it because some bushes were in the way and he was not going to be able to service them along with fixing them service meaning cleaning coils and things like that. Also very obvious he is not very knowledgeable on air conditioning work. Would not recommend them coming out to fix anything in your home!
The gentlemen who runs this business is a joke. He literally left my theromstat hanging off my wall. I have an ecobee 4 thermostat that worked before he showed up and doesn’t work now,. I am out of town and more upset that this man took advantage of my wife and her not knowing anything about HVAC. He told her he did not know how to operate the ecobee thermostat so he could not diagnose the issue. I am pretty sure I know why he didn’t put the theromstat back because he basically ripped it off the wall, My wife said the screws to the mount had been ripped out of the drywall. He was sent out by our home warranty company. Not sure why they have him under contract. I am finding so many negative reviews about this company it is a travesty he is still in business.
The man that came out this week to check our ac unit is rude and condescending. The unit started to blow cold after registering 80+ all morning, so he went and checked the inside unite, he screamed for my husband to come out and that there wasnt enough water pressure so my husband turned the faucet full force ( which the guy could have done) he blew out the pvc drain pipe, then he brought the garden hose inside to blow the inside unite … he threw the water hose out into the yard and left all the water on the floor he made no effort to clean after himself, when he checked the coil he didnt clean them.. he complained about a small bit of shrubbery by the outside but as my husband told him he had just cleaned and weed eated the day before there was plenty of room for him to access it.. He argued and continued to be rude and he was told to leave and never come back. I called my home warrenty company to let them know and that he was not welcome here.. I would never recommend he to anyone
Wednesday June 27,2018 right before 9am I called my home warranty provider and this company is who they use so I contacted A+ maintenance and after calling several times I got a voicemail. Over 5 hours later no one called to even tell me about there schedule etc .At this point I thought they were out of business. It is with heat index 99 degrees so I called another company that came right out and fixed the AC. Then after 8pm they call me, to late. A+ maintenance is a F- for customer service. Ill never use them.
I posted a review to the wrong business a+ appliance, but this business had a van that came thru my neighborhood behind Rucker elementary flying the other day I tried to follow it but they ran stop signs couldnt keep up with them all I can say is u better be glad because I would have brought the police

This company was contacted through my Home Warranty company. I spoke with Mike who advised me he wasnt going to work on my unit because it sounded like it part of the unit was located in the attic. He wouldnt even come out to look. He told me I needed to call my Home Warranty company to have them send someone else out. Unprofessional.
