The NWS is composed of a bunch of really smart people tackling a really tough job. They have to use current data, with future predictions by computer models and climatology, to provide accurate information to a never-satisified public. Come on yall - these are our best and brightest, and theyre working for a government salary. Thank you, NWS Houston, for your tireless efforts to keep us safe and informed!

I like the information given. It seems some Houstonians do care about what happens here. I appreciate all this. What I dont understand and probably never will is this; if you already know most areas flood rapidly, why do people still insist on driving in High water!. I look at it this way, we dont have any business driving out there unless its an emergency. Then if you cant get help right away, do the best you can. But try not to drive in flooded places. I dont know about you people but I thought I had good insurance coverage on car. Apparently not! So, dont Risk it!

I agree with the many others. We appreciate the warnings that have not expired if there is any, but come on its 10:20 pm now and the tv, phone, and radio are still.announcing a warning that expired at 7:43pm. Reset the computer and cancel it. Please

You know those annoying but essential emergency weather alerts that come over your radio, TV and phone? I believe this is the League City weather office where they originate. Thank you for the work you do!

Im biased because I work there. The non-expiring weather warnings are due to a problem at the local cable television provider. The NWS only issue warnings once. A problem at the cable company was preventing old tornado warnings from purging out of their system. Hopefully the problem has been resolved, but we wont know for sure until another tornado warning is issued for your area

The weather update came on about 4-5 times tonight on TV, maybe more, showing time at 7:43 pm each time. Stating tornado in League City and Pasadena. The weather had already cleared out!What happen there? I was calling my children to take cover and it had already went through! Its 10:07 pm now and it is being broadcasted as I write this! I watching channel 169 TCM.
