I bought a wheel lift attachment from Detroit Wrecker Sales just shy of two years ago. The attachment was more expensive than the ones we had been buying from a large wrecker manufacturer. I had even complained to them that what they are selling does not last and impossible to service with the plastic bushings they use. We would go through one of them every year.The attachment from Detroit was actually recommended by a dealer that sells for the large wrecker manufacturer and his words were it is bullet proof, I scoffed at the comment and said we will see about that my guys will certainly give it the test of its life. We move over 100 cars a day with this thing and it just started to show signs of wear. All the bushings are worn so I looked on the web-site and found the schematic and called Jen and just like that the parts are on there way.To sum it up, those words its Bullet Proof were correct and if you are in the market for a forklift attachment do not look any further. No one makes one this robust and reliable. We have tore it up but its been repaired with ease and quickly.Great product great company that stands behind its products and I highly recommend.Thanks Mike, Jon and Jen.

Used to work for a company that had a DWS Devastator, and I loved that truck. They switched me into that truck to give my old one to a new guy, and they also bought a Chevron. The Chevron has had nothing but issues, my Devastator has never had an issue! The extended bed locks are a must, and the low load angle is excellent. I’ve towed anything between lowered mint condition cars, to Harleys, to lifted trucks, and never had an issue, very rarely have to block anything. When I start my own company I’m definitely going with DWS, great product.

3 years ago I purchased alil herc. For my 2015 gmc denali. From Detroit wreckers and from the first phone call Mike owner treated me great even not knowing I was going to pull the trigger and order one. Sent deposit made a date and about 3 weeks later was on my way. 9 hour ride and shop was open for business and waiting with a coffee for me. Lol. All the employees were friendly and treated me like family. Owner explained everything he was going to do with my truck. I decided I needed them to install my strobe lights and about placement and let me tell you they knocked it out the park. With having Instagram I could follow and see the progress done to my truck. Month later got the phone call its done. Hop on plane and owner picked me up. Who can say that about a company.  Sat me down and explained how it works showed me how to work it and how to keep the maintenance up on it. 3 years later still going strong and with spending $20k on wheellift and another $10k on lights and within a couple of hard months got my money right back. All profit now. Got owners personal number and any questions I had didnt matter what time of day or night it was he answered. I was so impressed with the way they handed everything and the professionalism they have and treated me there talks about doing more work (flatbed/rollback)for my company. Big thanks to Detroit wreckers ( Mike, Mike, joey and the gang). Cant wait to make trip again

Purchased a new unit and had it installed by Detroit wrecker, reached out to the owner when we had issues, that really weren’t very serious, and since the unit was less than a year old, we assumed the two pins we needed to replace on the arms would obviously be under warranty. Wrong, we were told that since we put the video online of the issue AFTER we were told told he didn’t “believe” it was his problem and wasn’t covering it, that we no longer have a warranty. To top it all off, he refuses to even sell us the replacement parts we needed, so we had local machine shops make them. Much much much cheaper I might add, I would advise someone to do their research before using this gentleman as the reviews for the most part of from people happy with their brand new unit. Get ahold of us that have had his junk for a while and I guarantee you will hear from others. We will see how long this review stays up here. Best of luck to you reading this. This was our second unit of his, and will never have another.

Bought a truck with the lil Hercs on it. The unit is about 6-7 years old now. I purchased it from a guy I personally know and has had the unit since new. Never have had to replace pins or have any problems besides a few hoses spring a leak. So far running this unit for a month now I’m very impressed. It’s still nice and tight like it should be. You would think it would all be sloppy like most auto loaders being used without ever buying bushings or pins. Super happy and will be returning. I didn’t buy it from them but owner reached out to me and sent me grease points to it and talked to me like I bought it nee directly from him. Thank you Mike. I’ll be in touch soon to build a brand new one for me.

Truly disappointed in the quality of the units coming out of here you would think that you would put a little more workmanship into making sure everything is square and lines up properly so you can pull your pin without a hammer. Will not be coming back to this place

I just recieved this part from Detroit Wrecker team, took about a day to get it and they even threw some candy in😂. The owner of this great company challenged me to put his equipment to the test, and I absolutely took him up on it. The Republican truck with the Gladiator unit has 40k worth of roadside pounding and has held up like a champ. According to Towbook the truck as completed 1214 calls. Minor issues we have had have been addressed by their team immediately. They take input from their customers very seriously. Class act organization, and I will be purchasing more products from them.

Hi everybody I’m Vice President of D&M Auto Recovery we spent 22k and plan to spend another 10k with Detroit Wrecker there service department knows there products. For instance we had a valve go bad at 11pm . We called there and they knew what it was by the description over the phone. On behalf of our company and I we love ya!

I wouldn’t take my trucks any where else. These guys from start to finish get the job done right. From our roll backs to our Z boom & our Vulcan they figure it out and get it back in commission ASAP.

I have dealt with many different lifts, I will say one thing, we have the gladiator lift, and there has yet to be anything this lift wouldnt pick up! Strongest self loader I have seen in my 17 years, next one will be a lil hurchles!

I like the professional advice that they give and tell you the best way to fix the problem that you may have also they are reasonable with the prices they also have a great facility all tje way down to equipment to purchase. If i had my own truck Detroit Wrecker could fix anything for me with no problem. Keep up the good work!!!

In early 80s I owned towing business in Oakland County. Today I work with some towing companies that use Detroit Wrecker to build their equipment. They all are happy with work, the extra reinforcement done on the equipment and performance. They all say that when they get their next truck they are taking it to Mike at Detroit Wrecker.

I bought a used truck that needed a ton of parts. Mike at DWS was super helpful in helping me locate the parts but the best thing was when he told me to check the pressure before I run the truck on my new Dew-Eze clutch pump kit. He said most times people turn the pressure up on the valve to find out that they need a new pump or clutch...and they do not turn it back down thus causing major issues, blown hoses and or seals in cylinders. Well of course when I got the new kit installed we checked the pressure, it was way too high. Thanks again to Mike for steering me in the right direction and saving me a ton of $$$ and grief. Once I have the chance I am definitely buying one of their units. Look how they treat us on parts on another manufacturer equipment. Imagine when buying units they make!

2 year update....... Let me start with saying Mike and Joe and Guys at Detroit Wrecker are genuinely Great in all aspects! I have had And see a lot of trucks in my life but if they where build like the guys at Detroit Wrecker make things it would be Indestructible to a point. I purchased 2 lil Hercules units coming on 2 years ago in march. Let me just say this, I have never seen a wheel lift this strong, durable, and with this much Craftsmanship ever in my life. As long as you P/M your lift you will run for years with it trust me! I have tow over 4000 cars and made well over 200k with my lil hurc lift and counting and this thing will not give up on me. I have replace pens and bushings and back on the road i go! Don’t get fooled by copy cats and cheap knock offs that tubes bend on you, you get what you pay for with the price offered, i like to HOOK AND BOOK and will be buying more equipment very soon-ARS Motorsports
