I have been to several Pure Barre studios over the years, but the Detroit studio is easily a favorite. The owner is present often and attentive to keeping the studio & equipment immaculate and modern. They are always coming up with fun events, promotions, collaborations with local businesses and they really make an effort at fostering a sense of community amongst clients. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Mary Liz is such a strong instructor; Katies transitions are flawless and her sass makes her class so fun; Sam is truly dedicated to getting your the most out of your workout, and has a heart of gold. The actual studio is spacious and the retail area is huge and actually has a place to sit and put on your barre socks. I love coming here, it has made my move from Philadelphia a little bit easier!

I am thankful to work right next door to this Pure Barre as its a short walk from WeWork at 19 Clifford. My wife has been a Barre fanatic since she first turned me on to it in Los Angeles. We just moved to Detroit, so its nice to have a familar brand. Its also a great place to get merchandise which is tailored with a little bit of local flavor and supports some of the other local clothiers.The best part of this studio, since weve moved here is Brandon C. whose customer service goes above and beyond the call of duty. Every time Ive encountered him, hes been amazingly helpful, empathetic and energetic. He has wisdom beyond his years and he makes me feel like a valued client, rather than just another customer. Sadly, hes just here during his winter holiday from university. But I hope to get more visits in there before.Anyway, if you need a great place to stay fit, clear your mind, take a break, or pick up some thoughtful gifts, walk on by.

This is such an amazing studio! The classes are super effective, and all the teachers are so encouraging. It’s a really great environment. I would highly recommend it for all fitness levels!

Stopped here for a class while in town on vacation and really enjoyed the class! I teach barre classes and this one had me sweating and shaking and working so hard. Front desk staff was friendly and the studio was beautiful and clean.

This downtown gym is a nice Pure Barre studio. It is a bit pricey, but in line with other Pure Barre brand studios. If you dont park or live downtown already, they will validate parking in at least one garage. There is a changing room, and lockers to stow your things during class. They have quite a few morning and evening classes, and although they dont have many weekend class options, that might change in the future.

Honestly I cant say enough great things about this place. Wonderful instructors; always a challenging workout. Im 30 years old and this is the first time Ive felt guilty about not going 4x per week to a class. Ive been an active member for almost 2 months. I was severely injured in a bike accident on Sunday. I ride my bike all around downtown and dont own a car. Heaven forbid I slipped on the qline tracks. My hip and shoulder are injured. I called Pure Barre Detroit to tell them what happened... I got a call literally in less than 5 minutes stating they had put my membership on hold with no charge. I love this owner and will continue to be a patron as long as I live in the City of Detroit! Thank you for everything!! Anyone who is interested should try this class. It has changed the way I feel about wellness and exercise. Thanks for reading.

New Location, good for people working in downtown. Walking distance from most offices and near to Capitol Park.
