Dr. Kala Ravi is Awesome veterinarian .Wonderful Quality of care andDr. Kala Ravi explains everything in a simple terms so we can choose suitable care for our furry baby without hurting our wallet !!!. I had to wait 6 weeks to see my long term vet for an appointment but today at Hurley they took me in and helped my baby. It is worth waiting for 4 hrs than 6 weeks. While waiting I saw rude customer but the staffs are great at handling and very polite to difficult client. I wish I could give more than 5 stars************

The only true walk-in clinic in Detroit metro area that will take you the day of. The vet and assistant was so patient and loving towards my bulldog and even helped me walk him out to the car because I had my 4 month old with me.

I was recommended this pet hospital by a close friend. I’ve been taking my previous dog to Banfield in Troy but the cost of care was expensive. We’ve taken our new puppy the past 7 months for EVERYTHING and can say THEY ARE THE BEST. I don’t mind driving and extra 30mins from home to get the extra care from Hurley’s……. bonus that the cost is a fraction of what I was paying before!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDAs another reviewer mentionedthis is a WALK IN ONLY clinic. We usually go around 7:30am to get in line early to be seen. Typically we wait in the car but once you are seen, you will be there for a total of 15 minutes or less, including the check out process. Dr. Ravi and all of the other staff members are very friendly and caring.

Today was the worst day Ive had while taking my pet for care at Hurleys. They have walk in only, but they dont take you as you come and sign in. I was there and signed in at 7:45 a.m, with five people ahead of me. At 11:45 a.m., I still had not been seen. They called me to bring my pet into a room, where we sat for over 30 minutes and no one every acknowledged our presence. I left without being seen and receptionist called me after I left and said I could bring my pet in to be seen, which leads me to believe the Vets had no clue I was even in the room waiting. I was very disappointed with the service not received, the waiting time and the entire protocol. I think appointments need to be made as they were prior to COVID-19, as you attempt to see so many patients and the wait time is TERRIBLE!!

I would high recommend Hurley to any pet owner in the Detroit area! My puppy, Zuri has been going to Hurley since she was around 4 months. We have been here a few times, red eye, kennel cough, and for her to be neutered as well have her hernia fixed. Being a new puppy owner, I had a million questions and Dr. Ravi answered all of them in a way that was easy + understandable. She is beyond patient and really cares for Zuri!A few things to keep in mind prior to your visit - this is a walk in clinic. We usually go around 8am to sign in early and are seen a few hours later. Typically there is usually a wait (we usually go home and have them call us) but once you are seen, you will be there for a total of 15 minutes or less, including the check out process. Hurley is very affordable in comparison to other local vets and I’m thankful we are able to lean on Dr.Ravi and the caring staff every time we go!

Dr. Murali has taken care of my pets for years and this week, no one else would take my little dog in, but his staff & the other doctors helped her without hesitation. I had a great experience here, and so did my kitten. The wait can be a few hours, but it’s much better than the months you may have to wait for an appointment at another place. Expect to arrive, sign in, and go home to wait for a few hours. The staff was wonderful with my kitty, who was a stray before I got him, he was so calm with them.

I thank them so much for being patient and so kind! They treat your animals like they are your precious babies. They are also very thorough which I appreciated because my regular vet was not. Thank you all so so much!

Today was my first time at Hurly Dog and Cat Hospital and it could not have been better. I saw Dr. Kala Ravi and found her bedside manner to be very friendly and easy-going. Her simple, easy-to-follow explanations gave me peace of mind. I could tell she had a lot of experience.Hurley does not take appointment, they are walk-in only. You have to show up, put your name on the list, and wait. I got there fifteen minutes before they opened and I was first on the list.In addition to Dr. Ravi there was an assistant in the room with us (he put on, and later removed, a muzzle for my dog to get his shots), and he was very good. This young man had a very soothing energy that Im sure help to keep my dog calm.The secretary and other doctor were joking around with me as I paid and left. They take AMEX, a plus for me. If there was a sixth star, I would give it to them.

I had to put my dog Baby down..they understood and took the time to explain things to me. I really wanted to get her ashes so with me having to put her down and I was able to get her ashes back without any cost was a steal. We will definitely be going back!! Also super affordable.

Signing in first thing in the morning is a bit hectic, but the staff is excellent and considerate and prices are very affordable. Getting my two kittens their vaccine shots was a breeze after getting there early. Will definitely be going back!

I started taking my babies to Hurley Dog and Cat Hospital in the early 80s. I have always been pleased with their services. The doctors are very knowledgeable and staff are very friendly. My older cat is having some health issues and even though they were done scheduling for the day they fit me right in to bring him, this is one of the many reasons why I continue to go there. I highly recommend Hurley Dog and Cat Hospital.

My big baby had to have a emergency c-section and we found out she only had four puppies and there were all dead. This place took great care of her and us unfortunately we lost our pups but she had a successful surgery and we are back to get her checked up. I would greatly recommend this place for any future emergencies I or anyone else might have.Thank you so much Hurley!!!

Dr Ravi went above and beyond to assist with the care of my puppy with parvo! The emergency vet said it would be 2000 to even care for my pup! But Dr Ravi was extremely affordable and extremely kind to my puppy! I am so thankful for her assistance you will not be disappointed.

Offers same day walk in service which is a huge plus given emergency situations and filled appointments at my regular vet. That said, there is a long wait given the walk in service and high volume of people wanting their pets to be seen. The staff is friendly and professional, and does a great job with the animals.

I wish to thank Dr. Ravi for her gentle and caring handling of my cat. She was professional and thorough and I was especially impressed by her policy of not overmedicating. There are not enough good things that can be said about Hurley Dog and Cat Hospital. The staff is friendly and care for your pets as if they are their own, shoutout to Roger and the rest of the techs for being top notch. Detroit is incredibly fortunate to have Hurley’s compassionate and affordable services, and the level of experience and expertise provided by Dr. Murali and Dr. Ravi is unsurpassed. Both Dr. Murali and Dr. Ravi are highly knowledgeable and more importantly straightforward, honest, and clear with their prognosis and treatment of your pet. Though Hurley appointments are on a walk-in basis only and that can pose somewhat of a challenge, the practice makes sense as it keeps the amount of patients seen in one day at a maximum and the cost to customers at a minimum. When it comes to your cat or dog, your best friend is in the best hands at Hurley.

I have been bringing my pets here for years. The entire staff is so kind and professional. They remember us and our pets and care deeply about them. They spend the time with your pet that it needs and educate you about your pets’ health and proper care without any judgement. They provide top quality care that is affordable, especially in an underserved community. If it weren’t for them I wouldn’t be able to afford the regular quality care my pet needs and deserves, which is why I come from Ferndale just to see them. I can’t recommend them enough.

We went to Hurleys for the first time after we just bought our first puppy Dr. Kala was very nice and was playing with the puppy. My puppy was so happy he had a very great first experience with the vet and Dr. Kala explained things very well and was overall a very good doctor. Also the price there was unbeatable.

Hes always professional and will explain to you the illness affecting your animal, forme my dogs. His staff follows his lead, nice, warm and welcoming. The young man on staff thats been with him from more than 12yrs is always aware and can handle any dog or animal with respect and care. The front staff were very kind and took down my information when I went in the morning then they told me that they will Gove me 15 minute warning before my appointment and I was able to get some work done then arrived right when they called me and they let me in right away. Both doctors were very kind but they you lady doctor is the one that saw my puppy and she was very keen and energetic both with me and my puppy and made it a good time for him. I would definitely recommend and will be going there again.

I have been going to Hulrley Dog and Cat Hospital for years. My cat has not been sick since this whole Covid mess has started. I tried calling for an appointment on 3/22/21 I was left on hold for a very long time. when they came back on the phone they hung up on me. I called back and was put on hold again. when she came back she kept telling me it was a walk in clinic but I would have to come in and sign up for an appointment. I told her I lived far away now and I have medical issues myself. I explained to her I had a doctors apointment myself saturday marning and could not make it in and if they could do something for me since this is almost a week in advance. She said No. I asked to speak to the manager and explaind the situation to he. She told me to come in after my apointment in ST.Clair Shores sign a piece a paper then go home and they would call me. I then asked her Why and that didnt make sense to do all that driving.? I also said Ive been bringing in my cat for year and if they could help me out. Very rudely told me to hold on. She put me on hold for 45 minutes and never came back. Very unprofessional!

This vet really is doing the public a great service with keeping itself a walk-in clinic during the pandemic. All other vets are booked a month in advance so its really busy- but the staff is professional, friendly & are working really hard to get as many animals helped as possible. I have much respect for this place & am making them my regular vet. The prices are more reasonable too-

I just got a puppy, and they were kind enough to take him as a new client. I feel good about the care that he received, as the doctor came and personally discussed his health and needs, while also following social distancing protocol to keep us both safe. My regular vet had no opening for emergency travel certificate. I was calling around to find a vet who can do that day, finally when I called Hurley they told me walk -in clinic and first come first serve . when I got there it was 2 hours wait time which receptionist informed me right away .I was upset and asked why they wouldnt tell when some calls? Got mad and left .Looking for vet again no success. I called them back apologized and got my dogs travel certificate done. Dr.Kala is very nice and she treated me with respect inspite of my attitude. She is caring and takes time to explain . During covid they are taking every effort to serve city of Detroit . Wait time is long but staffs are so good they give you approximately what time will be seen so we don’t have to sit out side and they call you 20 minutes before your turn. I will always give 5 ⭐️ to this place.

My regular veterinarian was booked until September, and my dog was really sick. When I called around on an early Saturday morning, they offered to take me in right away. From the receptionists to the doctor, everyone was very polite and professional. The doctor even allowed me into the x-ray room, where she showed me my dogs bladder stone and explained that this was the reason he was straining to urinate. She also performed immediate surgery, which saved his life. I will definitely be coming back here.

Called yesterday and asked if appointments are required and was told no. Was informed walk in only and from 8 to 3. Arrived at 2 and was rejected. Must arrive between 8 and 9am!

My Cane Corso lost her litter because this vet told me my dog had a false pregnancy. I came home to a puppy on my floor. $2000 in emergency c-sections later, litter suffocated and now my pure bred can not have any more puppies!! Michigan law does not defend animals so my lawsuit didn’t make it to deposition. What vet of 40+ years doesn’t know if a dog is pregnant??

Hurley Hospital provides good, compassionate and AFFORDABLE care for my dogs. I appreciate the walk in service and the nice staff. My dog has a chronic condition, and I dont have to go broke to keep him healthy! I recommend Hurley to everyone who has a dog or cat that needs good medical care.❤🐕 🐱

They are horrible. Treated my cat for fleas and nothing changed I see no difference... it seems they took my money and didnt properly put the solution on her... When I called to talk about it nobody wanted to listen and hung up on me. Didnt try to find out any other info and didnt care nor was he concerned

I dont know if Detroit cares so much about pets...One day I was walking pass this hospital and seemed too look an as i spotted a box sitting right in front of they door. As i looked inside of the box there was a dog, now i dont know how old he/she may have been but it sure look like a young pup. Long story short it wasnt breathing someone just set the poor dog to die while they was closed at the time. Remind you i an animal lover and hate to see that our animals have to suffer like this just breaks my heart 🐶😢

I had quite the woeful experience at this establishment. They failed to contact me after my dog had finished in their care. Approximately thirty minutes before close I contacted and was told they forgot to call me and had me rush because they closed at 5. Forthwith, I just had a forgettable experience here.

Last year when my dog was diagnosed with bone cancer Dr. Murali was the only vet that told me to just keep Bear comfortable... he didnt believe in spending unnecessary money for Bears care. Good vet. Dr. Murali is straight forward, no frills, doesnt try to sell you things you dont need, and generally seems like a kind person. Looks like a bad part of town, but the passers-by were non-threatening and even friendly. My guess is they are supportive of the business given its long history.

We have been taking our babies to Hurley since they were pups and I absolutely love this clinic. Everyone is always nice and they take extra care and time with us and we really appreciate it. Dr. Murali is awesome! My Jada doesnt like people much, but she loves him and the assistant with the braids-sorry I dont know his name. Hurley Dog & Cat Hospital is great Detroit success story. Hell, theyve been in business for 45 years. Its a full-service veterinarian clinic too, so they can handle all the small things in addition to emergencies. I understand they even do grooming.Unlike suburban vets, Hurley is a no-frills, all-business sort of place. The bills reflect this ethic. Both vets and all the assistants have an excellent manner and really do a great job with the critters.Weve got two cats, one of which needs the special feline struvite food so finding a good vet was important. We get our annual checkups, shots, and food from Hurley.If you live in the city and dont have a vet, seriously consider Hurley. Theyre right off the lodge at Livernois.

Dr Murali is the best Vet I ever had. My pet Sam has diabetes he walked m through everything I had to do for her. He also has a remarkable and helpful staff. Unfortunately I had to leave the state my experience since I left is no comparison to Dr Murali. Reasonable prices, fast service and they accepted walk-ins

When I first went here it was clean and organize that was 10 years ago I love this place

Have always and will always take my 4 legged family there....staff and doctor are wonderful!!!! Prices are very affordable 😊
