Great cut, exactly what I was looking for. A great experience, if you are in Detroit I recommend you come here.
Extremely welcoming, wonderful conversation, great cut. Also, the other guests waiting for a haircut were so congenial and respectful - almost like everyone was grabbing a beer as old friends!
I’ve been going here 30+ years and I always get a great haircut from a great guy. I’ve been retired 15 years. So now I drive downtown get a haircut and eat across the street at Lafayette Coney Island. Perfect day. My only disappointment is I have yet to collect the free haircut that he offers to all customers when the Lions win the Super Bowl. Maybe next year.
What a pleasant man to chat with, and equally skillful.
Rick Lorelli is backbone of the 1001 Woodward Building. If you need an excellent haircut and a quick shave before having a donnybrook with the homeless of Griswold and Woodward, take yourself to Mens Quarters. Rick is a man of the people and will literally give you the shirt off his back to go with a fresh side part. One time a man started causing a scene in front of Bellacinos, and made most of the customers uncomfortable. Rick literally paused the haircut of the patron, walked outside of the shop in a calm manner and shouted, let my people go! and proceeded to return to the shop and finished the cut. The disruptive man went back to taking a nap on the edge of the riverfront and never returned to bother a Bellacinos patron again. This made me a customer for life. Viva Rick!
Rick does a great job at a great price. Hes efficient in all he does - phone communications, haircut, etc. I love that its a no frills, no B.S. operation... if you want your hand held or your ego massaged, there are plenty of other places to go. Me, I want a great haircut. And who gives homemade cookies these days??? Well - Rick does!
Rick is the only barber that I have seen since 1995. He keeps me looking Goood
Fantastic hair cut and great service. Barber had quick wit, was conversational, and got right to business. This is my new go to spot to get my hair cut in Detroit.
Great service. Great price.(Also the review below looks like a misunderstanding. 12/18/19 I had an appointment)
Walking by as I was heading out of the building after meeting a client and was able to secure seat time within about 30 minutes. Experience was great and the cut was even better. Will be neck often! BTW... His cookies are amazing!! ( I added a picture of a delicious almond cookie.)
Rick is awesome. Funny guy (not funny like a clown here to amuse you, just funny), fair prices even though he’s got a prime spot in the middle of a mall promenade, gives out cookies, and my fade looks great. I’ll be back if I’m in town again and getting shaggy.
My wife and I recently Moved to Detroit and as a guy whos a little particular about his cut I was a bit nervous looking for someone else. Ric the Owner has apparently been there since the 70s and there is a reason Why. No Lines in my haircut. He always does an impeccable Job and is relaxing and pleasant conversation. The perfect break for the modern mans workday. Not only does he ALWAYS provide a top notch haircut but sometimes he will even throw in a famous Italian cookie. Delicious. I havent gone anywhere else since I moved to Detroit and Dont plan on it.
A world class barber shop... very good experience... well maintained and the guys are a master of their art... Friendly treatment!!!
Great cut and great conversation from a great man. Rick is top notch and very flexible with his schedule. Im also impressed that hes stood the test of time and trials in downtown Detroit.
Best hair stylist for men. Extremely efficient, and very meticulous. Great conversation, and a humorous personality!
Did not get my hair cut because he let a man who came in AFTER I did get his hair cut before me even though neither of us had an appointment. Very disappointed in the service.
Been going to Rick for the last 3 years - great hair cut and great conversation. Best time of the year to go is the work week before Christmas - Rick puts out the home-made cookies.
Rick has been in this location since the 70s. He opens his shop early. I get my haircuts around 7:45 am. Old school Italian takes good care of his customers. Parking is available for 2 dollars above the CVS next door.
Mr. Lorelli is one of a kind. Hes so kind and he knows how to do this job. I really recommend him, especially if youre Italian!
Great haircut, very fair price. Easy guy to talk to and convenient location. Even gave me a cookie afterward.
Rick is a fine example of professionalism and service. Don’t know where else I’d consider thinking of going.
Had an amazing haircut, the guy is efficient, the price is fair, and you’ll definitely have a great conversation with him.
Rick does an excellent job. A master of his craft.
Great haircut by a professional and a nice man to boot, very friendly!
Quick and no-nonsense. Pleasant chat and a free Italian cookie for the road.
Rick is the best.
Rick is the best and gives you the cut you want. Excellent service!
Tried to make an appointment over the phone and the person who answered was rude. Will go somewhere else
Great haircut, great conversation. Fast and affordable!

Rick is a legend, he takes good care of all of his clients.
