A good place to pick up items when you dont want to go to crowded stores. They are practicing safety for the virus. Trouble is I always find a lot more to buy than what I went in for. Love their home and outdoor decorations.

The staff is the best part. Friendly people. Prices on a lot of the items a great. And some prices are not so good. But if you use the coupons from the app, youll save a little more. Like going to a mini grocery store. But overall, cheaper. Although, the price of a gallon of milk is some of the highest around.

This is the absolute best Dollar General Ive ever been in! Everything was all neat and tidy and fully stocked. Unlike the Fort Walton Beach locations where they look like a hurricane came through. Oxana, was super friendly. All around great experience.

Very friendly & helpful staff... Ms. Judy is awesome! Easy in & out store with nice size parking area. Could use a grocery cart return space in the parking area so people will stop leaving carts on the other end of the parking lot.

The stock man was very nice and helpful. He helped me find an item I was looking for and I greatly appreciated his help. However, the cashier was like a robot. No smile. Polar opposite of stock man. She needs more customer service skills. A smile and responding back to a customer when she praises another employee would have been nice. I go in there quite a bit and everyone else is very nice and helpful. She needs to up her game to their level.

If youre busy like me and legit just want some comfy house clothes without spending a fortune, I suggest here. A lot of the time simple clothing is bogo... store usually clean, AND there is a liquor store right next door. Two birds, one stone... love this spot

Dollar general, in my opinion, is a great place for your basic everyday grocery needs.Its relatively inexpensive, the store is clean and organized and the staff are friendly and professional.The reason I give it a 4 star rating is that its not what you would call a 5 star place, the little gimmicks they sell like DVDs, electronics, clothing and home decor, are not what you would call quality made. Theyre the sort of things a child would buy for his or her bedroom. But hey, its dollar general and for an adult, its great.

Older DG - aisles are crowded

I got a great deal on a sale item. While I was in the store I came across more items that I needed that were on sale. I feel like I got a really good deal today, happy happy happy!

Its like a scaled down ghetto supermarket. Not much cheaper than a convenience store. Go to Dollar Tree where stuff actually only costs a dollar.

Quiet store but not so friendly workers.

Air conditioning either nonexistent, broke, or off. Stuffy inside. Store not very bright inside.

Great place when youre out pf town and fonf you have forgotten some trivial items that you might need!

You can find everything last minute you need that you forgot to pack much cheaper than going to drug store, grocery store or convenient store

I am disappointed that most Dollar General locations in Okaloosa County no longer stock clothing, have more than one cashier, and are kept in a clean and well organized condition. The new way to get and use coupons is not something I care. Since I have had difficulties in finding products I purchased from DG, have waited in line of cashier longer than usual due to lack of additional employees, can no longer get clothing and have to have the mobile app for coupons, I will not shop at these DG locations.

Do not follow ANY covid-19 guidelines. No masks, gloves or social dustancing.

Arie, big black girl, heavy makeup with the attitude gets no stars. Other employees get more stars. Arie, has a bad day, cant handle pressure, uses language such as God #$%^ and Fu@@ when she cant handle her workload. Arie, makes some customers angry by expressing her negative attitude directly in front of any customer, including with their children in their presence. Arie, has a bad attitude and threatens to kill people. Arie, has a few locals right now that shop DG on average 3 to 4 days a week in a position to have you relieved from your struggles of dealing with customers and having the opportunity to work at such a great store. Dollar General, you deserve better. Customers deserve respect, Arie should start looking for a new job very soon. Shame on you for your terrible ability to handle a job that involves dealing with customers. Consider being a correctional officer. Inmates would give you a better time then happy shoppers, some who have shopped in this great little store since the early 1900s. We still love you DG and it will surely take much more to keep my family away just because of one miserable individual.

Dollar general that you have mostly whatever you need and its not as crowded and its nice to be going to a place that is cut real nice footwork

Dirty store & most of the items on clearance were not priced and if they were, they were almost always incorrect. AC was broken and it was over 90°G outside that day!! I felt bad for the employees more than anything but they were very up beat and friendly.

This store always has everything Im looking for at the price I wanna pay and the service is always fast and prompt Im always in and out in great timing.

The guy at the cash register did not even know how to use the digital coupons that are advertised all over at the check out. So I just left. He rang up all my stuff, he didnt know how to use a coupon so I simply walked out. So you lost out on my business. I will probably never go back. This guy has worked there for at least three years that I know of. Train your people better. I will simply go to Walgreens or target next time.

I have been in many Dollar Generals in my life and I have even worked as an assistant store manager and an acting store manager for over 5 years. Everyone knows that the cashier is the first person you see when you walk in the store and the last person you see when you leave. That cashier is supposed to be curtious and provide the best customer service possible. They are the ones that set the tone for the store overall. But when my family and I walked into the Dollar General Habor BLVD in Destin Fl next door to Cashs I was shocked to see what kind of employees they allow to work there and represent the store and help set the overall reputation of not only the store but the company as a whole. The cashiers name is Arie. She is a big black woman with the nastiest attitude I have ever encountered, wears WAY too much make up and has the foulest mouth you wouldnt believe. She cusses at customers and outwardly lets you know that you are bothering her by just standing there waiting for her to ring up your items. In other words, shes bothered by doing her job! She threatens to kill customers just because she had to take time away from what she was doing to DO HER JOB! I dont know if she hates her life or hates her job or maybe even both. But that still does NOT give her the right to speak to customers the way she does and curse in front of children; particularly my 9 year old daughter! Her name is Arie! She obviously cannot handle working with the public or in retail or in customer service period! In my opinion she is the worst employee that Dollar General could have ever hired! I spoke to the manager and the manager said that she will be written up. A write up does NOTHING! Its like a slap on the wrist. She needs further discipline and possibly even termination. As far as I am concerned Dollar General on harbor blvd in Destin has lost a loyal customer as long as Arie the big black woman that wears WAY WAAAY too much make up is working there. She has ruined the name and most importantly the expirence the customer is looking for when they walk into the store to enjoy doing some shopping. I take major offense to this mainly because shes supposed to uphold the Dollar General name and values. But she has failed miserably! I will be making sure that someone above the store manager knows about the employee they call Arie. The ONLY reason I gave the store a rating of one star is because there are other employees there that deserve to work in better conditions and not around such a hateful hostile person. Arie is single handedly bringing Dollar General Store Number 08683 down all on her own. She should step back and take a look at herself and figure out how to change that nasty personality of hers before she cant find a job any where else. I have no sympathy for her AT ALL! She deserves whatever punishment the store manager and the regional manager will give her. The store will be better off without her and her negative energy that stains every inch of that whole building.
