We had an early morning private sailing/snorkel we had a blast! Captain Billy was a lot of fun and found us a great little spot to get in water and find some shells. We even got to see dolphins and a bald eagle too! The time went by way to fast!

My Brother and I took a ride on the Banana Boat and absolutely loved it! Taylor and Kaitlin helped us get set up and did a great job and were very nice! Captain Bryan drove us and gave us a great experience. We will be back!

What a fun time! First class group of guys and gals. My family had such a blast. Will definitely be back next year. They only take 6 at a time and I loved the fact my family of 6 were the only ones on the boat, way better than the boats in the harbor where they fill the boats with a ton of randoms.

Would have been 3 more stars if it were more organized and the boat captain didn’t yell at my boyfriend for touching something he wasn’t supposed to when we were landing. You can’t throw people in a harness and then yell at them when they don’t know what to do after receiving absolutely no instruction on how to land, safety procedures, etc. The actual parasailing was a great experience. sitting on the boat with the captain, not so much. The other family on the boat with us agreed. Maybe he was having a bad day, but he was so rude & it made our experience that much less enjoyable. Not to mention they called us 30 minutes before our scheduled reservation to ask if we were still coming because there had people walking up to go. We paid a month & a half ago for this experience to be talked down to for not knowing what to do with no instruction. overall, disappointed. I’d like to add that all the positive reviews is what drew us to parasail here. Maybe it was an off day, but either way... there was just no point for the dude driving the boat to be so negative to us. had there been instruction beforehand, we would 100% not have a problem.

We were a family of three, looking for a private tour. Captain Brian met us at the dock. We had a great evening swimming, watching dolphins, enjoying the sunset, and enjoyed dinner on the boat.

Me and my step-sister went on this Parasail and it was one of the best Parasail’s I’ve ever been on!It was a much longer ride than I thought, which is a good thing because I got to enjoy the view from above much longer then I thought I would. Awesome experience, definitely recommend it!

The parasailing itself was amazing and smooth. Ppl just not very friendly. The desk girl was just flat rude!!! When its a persons first time doing this and your nervous informing ppl of what they need to do with patience and whats going to happen are key and making them feel comfortable.

The banana boat was great, the rude chic that checked us in was not and when I asked another employee there her name he wouldnt give it to me because they couldnt afford another bad review

Parasailing review - we had booked a party of 4 (3 to parasail and 1 nonflying passenger/observer). We were caught off guard when we arrived and saw that all the passengers have to wade out into the ocean then try to climb up a ladder on the side of the rocking boat and waves to board the boat. Our observer was not dressed or prepared for this, so she had to wait on the beach while we did the excursion without her :( We had no pictures of the experience because she was going to be our photo taker as well. On the boat ride out there is a captain driving and one other staff person - neither of which said anything. No explanation of what to expect or what to do. Left me feeling pretty uncomfortable and uncertain about the trip. It felt like they were just in a hurry to get us out and done and back - definitely not friendly. The actual parasailing itself however went well...smooth lift up and smooth coming back down, we just werent prepped on what to expect as far as landing and coming back in goes, but the staff was very smooth in doing it. More explanation and conversation recommended from the staff, they just didnt seem to enjoy what they were doing at all. One of the staff asked if we all 3 wanted to go together. I asked if there was a weight limit, because I thought I had read a 450 limit on their website and the 3 of us exceeded that. He didnt answer me and the captain said to send us all together. We booked this company for its smaller passenger size of 6 and primarily because we could book ahead for our spectator to go with us....which totally fell through and was disappointing. Before you book, they need to make clear what you have to do physically to board the boat because it was prohibitive to some in our party, and I was worried trying to swim myself and also watch for my daughter to make sure she didnt get hit by the rocking boat which is challenging between the boat rocking and the waves rolling. Customer service and customer orientation definitely lacking, but like I mentioned, the actual parasailing itself was smooth just felt sketchy and did not leave us with a good feeling.

Captain Billy was excellent. This excursion was the most fun weve had in this area in a very long time. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He made our 3hr catamaran trip a great success. Awesome experience and would highly recommend.

Do NOT use this company to parasail. we scheduled early to avoid a thunderstorm and the people guiding the groups in order let TWO GROUPS go ahead of us and by the time it was our turn the storm had caught up to us. HORRIBLE DO NOT RECOMMEND. very unorganized and if you ever need a refund ASK FOR THE RECEIPT. 👎👎👎👎👎👎

We called and said we were gonna be a little late but would still be there before our 12:45 appt. We arrived at 12:40 and they had left without us and said we couldn’t get a refund. The girl was giving us a very hard time and was very bluntly rude. Pretty bad experience ending off our vacation. We had to leave and drive back 19 hours without going on a banana boat.

Awful experience. We had a 10:00 parasailing appointment booked. They text night before and moved it to 9:30 (no big deal). Got to location 20 minutes before scheduled departure (as they asked) only to find out they are delayed and their 8:30 hasn’t been yet. Apparently boat broke down. They rescheduled us for 11:30. Before leaving fir the 2nd time to come to the location we text them to make sure it was still on schedule and they cancelled our trip completely!! DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH THIS COMPANY. Didn’t offer another day or priority booking for any other date. Simply sent a text saying we were cancelled. They had no intentions of letting us go and the lady there just didn’t want to tell us in person and wold rather cancel over text and not face to face. Will never visit again.

Great experience but the only thing keeping this from a 5 star is the struggle to get the boat to get to another boat with swimming against current about 60 yards other than having to jump off the boat and pretty much be kicked off fun times

We booked a four hour sailing charter on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Captain Billy was super friendly and helpful. We spent most of our time sailing because that is what our family likes to do. My 14 yr old was pleased to find that there wasn’t much more to sailing a 27’ catamaran than our Hobie-14 at home. Our youngest, who has a slight physical disability, was delighted to hunt for hermit crabs in shallow water, and to be trusted to captain the boat in calmer waters.If you want a relaxing custom trip, I can’t recommend enough!!!

I absolutely love them. They are amazing. While at the dock after the parasail we hunted for hermit crabs and got great shells. They are friendly and take you to see dolphins also. We have sailed with them twice. I loved it both times.

Family and I had a great time with Captain Billy and the chartered catamaran sail through Captain Jambo’s! Professional, kind, informative and fun! He took us to see marine life in the bay and gulf, gave some beginning sailing instruction and then finished the four hours off with some time at Crab Island. Great communication and wonderful experience from beginning to end. When in Destin, check them out! Worth it!! Thanks again Captain Billy!

We booked the night before and while Captain Jambos was booked, they accommodated us with an early morning private charter.Captain Billy took us out and was amazing, very laid back and funny as heck. It felt like we’ve known him forever.Already planning to return for Labor Day weekend.

This company took my husbands debit card numbers and charge almost $400 unauthorized a months after our trip. I had to file a dispute to return the funds. Not trustworthy staff. Great parasailing but not trustworthy on their site for transactions.

I took my 3 kids on the sailing trip for three hours. We had the best time ever. Got to see Dolphins really up close. It was a great experience. Captain Billy is a great Captain. My boyfriend and I had an amazing day on the water with Captain Billy! We did a three hour sail/snorkel tour. We saw sharks, dolphins, did a little snorkeling and overall just had an amazing day. Highly recommend this tour and suggest you request Captain Billy, he is awesome!

I will start by saying I think our experience was not the norm. I also did not understand the difference between beach parasailing and dock parasailing, and had the misconception that all parasailing was the same. We checked in and were told we needed to wade out to the shuttle boat from the beach. We asked for life jackets, and were told everything we would need is on the boat, so no life jackets. I feel if we had been provided with life jackets to get to the shuttle boat, we would have had a very different experience. The beaches were under rip tide warning, and by the time myself and my two 14 year olds got to the shuttle boat we were exhausted from swimming against the waves. I was too tired to be able to climb the ladder to get on the boat after my best attempts. I was provided with a flotation device to get back to shore, although the tide kept pulling me back and had to be rescued by two men who saw me struggling and were not employed by the company or lifeguards. A storm came in before my kids were able to parasail, and so they were brought back and asked to jump back into the ocean off the sandbar and swim back in the storm. One of my kids hit their head on the boat, and the other was pushed off by one of the men on the boat, and lost their glasses. I have seen great reviews for this company, including comments about 5 or 8 year olds having a great time and Im wondering how they were able to swim out and get up the ladder and onto the boat. This makes me wonder if our experience was not a typical experience? The companies online explanation of beach vs dock parasailing also discusses providing life jackets to get to the shuttle boat. It sounds like this company is typically providing great experiences, although I would either insist on a life jacket as they advertise they provide, or bring your own so you can make it to the boat without exhausting yourself. Ocean swimming is nothing like pool swimming and wearing a life jacket is honestly just a good safety precaution. They did call within an hour and happily refunded our money due to the storm.

Wonderful communication before with clear directions and flexible when I needed to shift an hour. Lovely boat with laid back captain to guide us across the bay to the shore. On our way back, it was like he served up a perfect sunset and leaping dolphins on a platter - could not have been more well timed! Great for small groups who enjoy the quiet sailing experience vs the party diesel chugging boats we saw along the way.

Second trip with Captain Jambos, second winner! The parasailing went so well we figured they were a natural choice four our snorkel adventure. So snorkeling in Destin is thin at best, but this outfit put us on a good spot and we got to see some cool wildlife! Our family of four were the only ones on the excursion and thats how we like it! Captain Keith gave us his undivided attention. Fantastic treatment. Water and Capri Sun took the salt taste away when we were finally got back in the boat. On the way back to the harbor we did some awesome dolphin spotting and stopped to swim with a spotted eagle ray!If you want a booze cruise with 100 sweaty people you dont know.... this aint your outfit. Captain Jambo was great! He took my wife and I on an anniversary cruise well never forget. We got to see several dolphins jumping out of the water and a fireworks show at the end. This is my second time going Parasailing in Destin....I would probably recommend and rate this company the top most adventurous! Captain Jambo is a true class act, first class gem. We were feeling a little apprehensive and anxious with the impending uncertainty of the virus situation and decided we should still keep living life and go on an adventure. None of our family had ever gone parasailing before and they treated us like family. Even our 5 year old granddaughter decided she had to give this a try. They were very safety conscientious, a spic and span vessel and the crew were careful and kind. They took our minds off the fact that tomorrow we had to face reality, but just for today we could sail high above the ocean, be free and as our granddaughter said, “touch the sun.” Thank you Captain Jambos we will be back. Great experience. Our family had the boat to ourselves. The captain was extremely attentive and made sure we had a great experience. Its not like snorkeling in more tropical locations, but we still had a nice time.

We had a romantic dinner and wine aboard the catamaran. I cant believe we never chartered a sailboat before! Its much more affordable than I thought and my wife keeps telling her friends what an awesome vacation we had thanks to captain Jason!

Great experience! It was my families 1st time going parasailing, family of 5 including my 6 month old baby who I was nervous about taking. Other places wouldnt allow a baby on luckily they was flexible with us. They made everyone feel welcomed and safe!!

The transport boat ride out and back was absolutely miserable. The driver went way too fast for the conditions and we were jostled all over the boat. The parasailing was great only I paid extra for pictures. They didnt get the pictures (according to my daughter who stayed on the boat) or lost them (according to the captain). They are refunding the money but that is really not the issue. I dont have pictures of my sons first parasailing adventure.Update : I just got a phone call from the company. They apologized but more importantly, they were genuinely interested on what happened and how they could make it better. I work in a service industry. Not every experience is perfect but a good company will try to improve and listen to you. I was impressed with their follow up.

Great people out there who have been doing this since the 90s. Unlike some tourist traps in Destin that nickel and dime you to death, you get exactly what you expect with the price (and they even give you an SD card full of pictures for no extra fee). I highly recommend this to anyone in the area.

Great time sailing with Captain Jason! Very knowledgeable and took us right out to where the dolphins were. We even stopped by crab island, which is apparently the local Hotspot where everybody hangs out having a good time. Would definitely do it again.

We went out parasailing today with Captain Jambo’s as part of Captains for Kids. We had a great time. They were so patient with the kids, and were super professional. We’ll be back many times, and are already making plans to bring family out to go next summer.

For a few dollars more we got a private boat over to the snorkeling area. We also stayed longer and did things on our time. Had the whole boat to throw our belongings around in and everyone loved the trampoline viewing/tanning area.

Arrived 25 minutes early to wait on our boat. By 5 minutes till our scheduled sail, the boat still had not arrived. Called and was told it would be there at scheduled time. Called back a few minutes after scheduled time and was told it should be there and they would check on it. Was called back and was told the captain took off and asked if we could reschedule. It was our last day of vacation and our son was really looking forward to snorkeling. We could not reschedule because we already had other plans. Complete waste of our morning and ruined our last day. They could have offered to send someone right over to take us out and make it right, but instead we get a refund.

We had a little of a tough time finding this place, so I phone in and they told me that they were no longer in that location so they sent over a text to the current spot, we arrived right at time, but were not early as planned. So they picked my wife and daughter up along with another couple off shore in a smaller boat to take to the parasailing boat, after about 3 minutes of watching my 10 year old daughter struggle the person finally decided to help her get on the boat! Later she told me she almost started crying cause there was just no way of getting on. So once my wife got on she helped the remaining people get aboard, I understand that the captain can’t just leave the wheel, but long enough to help the paying customers get aboard would have been nice. Once they got onto the parasailing boat someone made the remarks of “Just another day in paradise right?” To the captain, well his response was “ Paradise? That was last month when you all weren’t here!” Wow really you are going to say that to your paying customers? Ohh well the parasailing was a nice experience and would do again, maybe with a different company. I also was going to rent jet skis for our last day here and was going to use the same company, but I think I’ll give my money to a place that may be more appreciative of the tourists.... after all this is the business that you chose to get into was for the tourists.
