This Lowes store is easy to find right on Highway 98 near the Destin Commons shopping center. When going West on 98, it has its own turn lane that goes directly into the store entrance.When approaching from the West, there will be a left turn required. It is safer to make the left turn at the light and turn right to go past the Whole Foods market to enter. Turning left from Hwy 98 to go into the entrance without going through the light requires zipping across 3 lanes of traffic. It isnt worth it as I have seen people take ridiculous chances to try and get across those 3 lanes.Lowes has a great selection of grills, lawn mowers, light bulbs, plants, and too many household good to mention. We have purchased outdoor furniture for a patio, irrigation supplies, lawn fertilizer and manure, etc. The quality has always been good.Finding something in the store can be difficult as it is very large. I go to the internet site for Lowes and it will reveal the location by bay number, etc. to find an item.This often works (but not always). It can be difficult to find a person for directions on a busy day in the store.

EXTREMELY Unhappy.Ordered a refrigerator and was told that it would be delivered today between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 noon.. I was told at 12:15 that they think they might be here in about an hour and then I received an update phone call after 1 p.m. stating that they were stuck Im grid lock traffic and had no idea when they would be here.. It is now 3:20 p.m. and I havent had a new update on where they are or what is going on. I took off of work for absolutely no reason and fully believe I should be reimbursed for the work I missed for this. It is completely disrespectful and unprofessional to expect people to be able to wait around all day for something when they need to be making money for their family.

I own a rental home in the vicinity of this Destin store. The dishwasher died. Over the phone I was able to make a purchase that was delivered to the property in less than 24 hrs within the time window!!!! Every person I dealt with was customer friendly and helpful. I AM IMPRESSED! Thank you for meeting my needs.

Huge shoutout to Shelby at Customer Service who helped me out with a pickup/return. I dealt with the main Lowe’s customer service twice before and they did not help me. I finally called my local Lowe’s and Shelby found a solution and got my return picked up within two days! She was very professional and helpful!! So grateful that she made this process easy and painless!!

I have a property maintenance company. I use Lowes for quite of bit of stuff. But I have to say their paint department in Destin is absolutely horrible. Monday it took a hour to get 2 gallons of paint mixed. Yesterday I gave up as it took forever. Today I walk up and the gentleman working just looked at me and didnt acknowledge me at all. Its been 20 minutes and he still hasnt acknowledged standing at counter. He is helping other but has came to counter 3 times and not said one word. Sad customer service 😞. I guess next project Ill go back to Home Depot.

Crazy rude cashier. Watched as my husband had a question about a discount on large purchase and the cashier just kept rapidly repeating, “this transaction is completed, that has to be handled at customer service.” There was no one behind us, not busy. We’ve had a lot of rude service at this Lowe’s, but honestly this is the rudest service we’ve had there yet. You’re better off driving 5 minutes down the road and bringing your money to Home Depot.

Always find what I need and more things I dont.. lol. Staffed well with several employees asking if I needed help. Beautiful flowers blooming in the garden center this trip.

Lets start by saying, Im fairly clueless when it comes to gardening. Today at Lowes, I consider myself extremely lucky to have met your star employee... Shelley. Shelley is absolutely amazing! She helped me with so much, taught me so much, showed me how to get things done right and beautifully. I honestly cant say enough about her. Please please please ...give Shelley a raise, a bonus, a gift...whatever you have to do to make sure she continues working there. She is an absolute God send and youre very lucky to have her.

Nothing is every where its supposed to be. Sections like plumbing and electrical arent stocked. They have the stuff, its just not accessible. They never have any cashiers, which would be fine, but their self checkout sucks. It constantly asks for approval or is broken.Update 8/25: knocking a star off. Ordered an oven for delivery. Delivery time 8-12. Its past 3:00 and still no oven. No phone call. I called at 2:00 and was told I was the next stop. All they had to do is call or text and say they were running late.

Had lowes come out to measure windows for hurricane protection in January. Called and stopped by several times for the next couple months where they stated they hadnt got the estimate back from the contractor. Then found out the contracted company needed to do an additional measurement themselves . So waited for him to come out ( the owner). Then we called for the estimate so we could pay and get this going. Now its nearing end of May and hurricane season starts June. Finally went in to pay with the bid shortly after that call. 4-6 week time frame for them to make them (fabric style) with COVID staffing issues. Last correspondence they initiated was July 6th with an arrival date of July 7th. No show. Called then a date of July 21st, no show. Then a date of the 28th, no show and now supposedly they were going to reach out to the manufacturer and wed get an email per our conversation on Juky 30th. No estimated date. Never have this service tr through them. Grateful I went with Home Depot for my plantation shutters

Worth your time to go to the one in Fort Walton. This place doesn’t have any customer service. Had one person working at customer service and I stood in line for 44 minutes while there were other employees sitting there watching and talking.

Great store. We live in BWB and this Lowes is within short distance from us. They always have what we need. Their prices are quite competitive. Most importantly staff members are welcoming and always willing to help. Overall this is our go to store when it comes to home improvement items and for any DIY projects around the house. And if youre military or retired veteran be sure to ask for their 10% military discount.

Ordered a dishwasher. Took weeks to arrive. Had plumber pick it up and install and it didn’t work. Tried to call the store many times and it’s always the same, transfer and hang up on you. It’s the worst service ever and I normally use Lowe’s. It’s a shame that you spend almost $800 dollars on an new appliance and you can’t even talk to a person. I live out of town so it’s not like I can just drive over. It a shame that after 2 hours of trying to get ahold of anyone to tell them the plumber is returning the dishwasher that I can’t.

I live in the area so Im in and out of Lowes on a regular basis. After this last ordeal, we will take our business elsewhere! I had 3 carts FULL of merchandise. From hardware to plants and gardening. I always ck out the clearance in garden area,so I also had several discounted scrubs. When I went to the ck out, right off the lady was less than helpful. She spoke very lil English and it was difficult to understand her and I believe she had a difficult time understanding me. I tried to explain to her the things were on clearance...had been marked down. I dont know if she didnt understand or didnt believe me so she paged for the manager in that department to come up there. The manager told her the prices were correct so she continued cking me out. There wasnt another cart to put the things back into once she had rang them up so I asked if she wanted me to get a cart for her and she said sure. I go get another cart, get back to ck out and SHE HAD SUSPENDED THE ENTIRE THING AND WAS CKING OUT OTHER PATRONS. When I asked why she said because I wasnt there in line. I said because you sent me to get another cart. Anyway it was a mess. She continued to question every single item and even somewhat argued with the different managers she would call up to the register. They would verify the item was indeed on clearance but she kept on and on and on questioning EVERYTHING. FINALLY the head manager noticed what was going on and she had someone else come over to finish with my ck out. She took her to the office where I hope she was at the very least written up.TROUBLE DIDNT STOP HERE TOUGH. LOW AND BEHOLD. THE REGISTER FROZE and try as they did, it wouldnt come back up, soooo for the 2nd time, they had to suspend my entire transaction! No ones fault, it just happens. I made the decision to pay for my things in 2 separate transaction as to hopefully prevent the register freezing up again. Must have been a good choice because after a hr and 20 minutes, I was finally done at ck out!DOESNT END HERE!I HAVE YOU KNOW THAT AFTER ALLLL THAT, I WAS LEFT TO LOAD EVERY SINGLE BIT OF MY PURCHASES BY MYSELF! On Monday, Jan 7, we went into Lowes and purchased some solar lights which were on sale. After check out, before walking out of the store, we discovered we had been charged regular price. The cashier told us we would have to go to the customer service desk to get corrected. Chuck at customer service counter told me to go and take a phone picture of the sale price and bring it back to him to prove it was on sale. He stated he could not leave his register. He did not offer to ask another associate to check the price nor call anyone in the department to correct it not being correct in the computer. After accommodating Chuck, he had no idea how to compute the amount being returned, because there was a military discount applied. Stated that his amount was the correct amount and would refund it when he could get a supervisor to come and approve it! Strange that he could get back up for that but not to check the correct sale amount. When we said we were not happy with that amount, he proceeded to argue with us about the amount, until we just ask for a total refund for everything we had purchased. Once again, he had no idea how to proceed with that transaction either. Fortunately at that time, Trish showed up and asked the problem. She immediately saw that the sale amount credited was incorrect and said she would straighten it out and there was no need to refund the entire order. This event was an extra 30 minutes for what should have been a very simple purchase. Lowes needs some attention to in house training for their employees...... ESPECIALLY, someone supposedly in customer service. To ask a customer to go back and take a picture of a sale price to prove that the item was on sale is totally unacceptable when there are employees running around, in sight, all over the store. Chucks attitude was extremely defensive, arrogant and totally unprofessional. He treated us as the offenders instead of customers who had been charged the incorrect amount at check out. NEVER an apology for the inconvenience from him. Trish, on the other hand, was very competent, accommodating and professional. She apologized for our inconvenience and thanked us for shopping Lowes. Perhaps she could be put in charge of teaching the untrained employees a few pointers on real customer service. Home Depot is very close by, has been there a long time and I have never been treated with anything but appreciation for my business there. Sure hope Lowes does not let employees with Chucks attitude become the standard!

Disappointed. One, I was obviously looking for something and multiple employees walked right past me. They didnt even acknowledge me let alone ask if I needed help! I like those Original Gourmet lollipops that you now carry. I usually have to go to Home Depot to get them and apparently I will still have to. A lot of people like the HOT CINNAMON flavor, Im one of those people. Usually theyre pretty fast to go but not when there are still full racks like you have. What usually happens when there are zero Hot Cinnamon at all is there are employees who like them and the manager lets them buy all of them. Leaving none for the customers, like me. Im guessing its no different at the Destin Lowes. Then I checked out, cashier said hello but it was barely audible. I had to ask her if she could input MyLowes number, she wasnt going to ask.The store has taken a downward turn. Bigtime!

Ive never walked out of this store and felt like they appreciated my business. In fact, I cant think of one time I could find an associate or one wanted to find me. The lines are always long, too. I purchased a $1500 dishwasher from Lowe’s. I initially didn’t want them to take the old dishwasher away, but in the 10 days that it’s taken them to deliver it, I decided I wanted them to take the old one. They wouldn’t waive the $30 fee to take the old one... on top of that, they set a 4 hour delivery window 2:45-6:45 on a Saturday- I wasn’t given an option. I was told that if the machine went on sale that I could come in and they would refund me the difference. That didn’t happen because it matched my military discount. They only get 2 stars because I assume the washer will be delivered in working condition.

I am in charge of special projects in my company and every time I come here they always have what I need, if I cant find something, an employee will walk with me and help me find it together. They definitely stick by their motto of Lets do this, let us do this. This is a company about teamwork inside within employees and outside with customers.

Lowes has long been my destination of choice when needing hardware building supplies or anything else that they sell at Lowe’s. This Destin Lowes is among the best! This review is not so much about my favorite store as it is about Butch and Daniel! Every time I go there these two guys are Johnny-on-the-spot to help with loading, getting stock off the shelves and so much more! It was about two months ago that Butch went way out of his way to go to the opposite corner of the store and cut and thread some pipe for me. Today Daniel was taking a Much deserved break and he cut his break short to come help me find the cement blocks I needed. Helpful staff, wide selection of name brands

I bought a Frigidaire dishwasher from there. The delivery was terrible, they were extremely rude and didn’t even tell us beforehand that they couldn’t install dishwashers. Either way, the dishwasher doesn’t work at all. It turned on once, and stopped working completely. I have called every number I can and have either not received a response or been told to call another number. I’ve tried going to the actual Lowe’s location and have been told to call different numbers. I have been trying to get through to them one way or another and nothing has been done. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great products but lord forbid if you need help. Asking for help they act annoyed and dont like being bothered. There products are of good quality and variety of selection.

To get service in that store was unacceptable nobody was in the appliance area we went to other locations to have them call somebody and no one ever came to help. Finally a wonderful employee in the painting area ended up helping us and actually going all the way to the back and bringing back a dryer that we wanted to purchase. You definitely need to work with your employees and Customer Service.

Super clean, get a mask as you walk in. Friendly people and they will stop to answer your question. Enjoy going to browse and check out the clearance items. There are super deals on damaged appliances and uncommon tools.

I am on Team Lowes in the Lowes vs. Home Depot debate. It has what I need when I happen to be on that side of bay. Would be a 5 star rating were it not for the toll to cross the bay...get one on Niceville side and you get a free star.

What is there not to like about Lowes? If you were so inclined you could literally build a house from all the stuff they carry. Wether you are into building, decorating, crafting or botany you are sure to be covered. The staff I generally meet are well mannered and usually very helpful. If you are in the middle of a project and need some advice; the helpfull staff can usually get you into the right direction.

Today is December 19th and been waiting on hold for 5 min for appliences, spoke to person in customer service 3 times, then it eventually turned into a dail tone. Called back and it is just ringing and ringing. Called back 3rd time and been on hold again for over 6 min. Bought a washer dryer combo and it is not drying. Lowes is terrible. Customer service is terrible. Would appreciate a manager to contact me and discuss their lack of customer service, but i bet you they dont care.

Ordered stuff online for pickup in Destin store because online it showed they had products available. Was given the excuse that they actually didn’t have the product and it wanted me to pick up from a store 1hour 30 minutes away. No communication about the items not being available, but they sure did take my money. Only found out about the issue after i arrived at the store to pick up the items. This is something they need to fix or compensate their customers for wasted time.

We are here frequently as my spouse builds custom projects for people...Framework etc... Lowes carries quality wood, carpentry glues and painting supplies..

Absolutely in no way shape or form can I recommend them for any installation services.Pulled 3 quotes on a fencing project, chose them due to their ability to get the materials in 2 weeks after payment. After payment install and delivery was moved to 4 weeks. This is understandable with the current logistical issues the country faces. Well a week later the date got moved to 7 weeks. I voiced my displeasure but again understood the issues after speaking with a corporate representative. They already had five thousand dollars of my money and 2 weeks of my time tied up in the project so I decided to just wait out the 7 weeks.Fast forward they missed the delivery date so again was given a new delivery date of Sept 28th. We called today in regards to the issue and they were going to attempt to get the fence installed on Monday. I just got off the phone with the installer prior to writing this review and he said he cannot get out here until October 12th.I could have went with the other 2 companies and maybe they run into the same issues maybe not but what I do know is the lack of care and effort shown on the customer service end from Lowe’s is astounding, we are just another number and choosing them was my mistake. Lesson learned and hopefully they at least get my fence install before Thanksgiving

We give Lowe’s delivery Jeff and Johnathan top rating! They squeezed a full size washer and dryer into a very tight space with no trouble at all. They tested everything before they left and we couldn’t be happier with their service and attention to detail! Great job!!

Spent over a year updating our backyard. Final touch was to add pine straw to much of the yard. We bought several large rolls from Lowe’s only to find that 50% or maybe even more of the rolls were actually hay mixed in with some pine straw. I thought Maybe I was Being too dramatic until I really spread it out and my yard smelled so strongly like a fair ground or horse stable. It made my yard look very cheap and farm like. The rolls were covered in a mesh at purchase so I was Unaware of the amount of the roll was hay. I feel Like this is very dishonest and false advertising as the hay was obviously added to add bulk. I Attempted to pick the hay out but just gave up after about an hour and threw it all over my fence.

The worst possible service we have ever in our life worked with. Destins Lowes is actually a -1 if i could have selected it. The ignorance of those who answer the phone is the worst in regards to customer care. Weve been working with Lowes in regards to a refrigerator we purchased and they do off a broken one. That was over a month ago and here we sit. No one returns our call. Been on hold several times with no one picking up.Customer service refused to connect us to a store manager. Today we started at 2pm and she just kept us on hold over 10 minutes. Its 2:44 on a Friday so look at the roster to see who that woman is, she needs training.

I just moved to Destin. I’m standing in Lowe’s. Saw three employees standing leaning on buggies. Told them I needed some help purchase some patio chairs. One (John) said it wasn’t his dept and I should find Phil. The other two did not move. I told them I had been waiting in the outdoor furniture area for 10 minutes and had not been able to find help. He again said I need to see Phil. I asked who could help me locate Phil and he said to try customer service (which based on my experience thus far didn’t exist). I finally had to get a cashier from some other department who just happened to pass by to find me help. She no doubt could feel my frustration. She found a guy in plumbing (Don) who happily got a wagon and got my chairs and even helped me load them. I thin Don should be made a manager and I think John has a bright future working for a cable company. I look forward to being a valued Home Depot customer moving forward. By the way, my purchase was over $1000

Went in for some hanging baskets and double cited tape. Walked through the appliance center and I must say they have so much to choose from, especially when it comes to drop-in tops kitchen stoves. It seems they always have some special markdowns available. Its a great store to swap out your appliances if youre looking to upgrade or renovate.

I used Lowe’s years ago because of their good service. However when their service went down hill and I have used them sparingly since them. Had another unpleasant experience with them today in the appliance Dept. Was in line to get a Microwave today for about 30 mins and a new customer came in and the employee allowed them to jump in front of me. I went to the competitor down the street and got quick courteous service. Perhaps you should send your employees down the street to get some training.

My sister and I were at Lowes Destin the evening of 6/9/19 looking for a new pedestal sink and a tall brown headed gentleman (forgot to ask his name) walked up and offered to help us. The sink we wanted was stored on the very top shelf close to the ceiling and he immediately went and got a lift, got our sink, and loaded it in our buggy so we could check out. He thanked us for shopping at Lowes and welcomed us back. That is excellent customer service!!!
