I’ve never had this many problems with a mechanic, my truck was getting a simple job done and it took months and when I did get it back they did not do it correctly and I had to take it to another shop to show them what was wrong. Very sorry work the owner would also ignore my calls and then give me attitude all the time.

Incredible service.Bought a used Lincoln Town Car from them and so far so good. Great responsive service and got exactly what I was told! They also agreed to do some minor work on the vehicle after purchase with no problem which is rare for a seller to do for such an old vehicle, couldnt ask for a better experience!!

I bought a 2005 F250 and could not be happier. I had saved up to find a truck that could help me in my business and then on the weekends take out my camper with my family.. I needed it bulletproofed and they walked me through everything they had done,. This is my first diesel and all I can say is God bless you guys!!

Replaced 7.3 heads and injectors with complete motor removal; took several months to get truck back and in service; called with some problems after having oil in coolant following the work and was completely blown off; told they no longer work on residential customer vehicles but promised a return call anyway to discuss.. Subsequently, after realizing the phone call was never going to come, I found multiple problems they should have addressed when they had it in the shop and the engine removed..You have a right to expect great service when you pay premium rates; Extremely dissapointed...completely abandoned the customer but were more than happy to take my money. I paid over 7K for the work and didnt even get the courtesy of a return phone call when I had an issue. Hopefully this helps someone in their decision to do business with these people...

Called in and inquired about rebuilding my turbo for my 6.0. I had all the necessary parts and have already pulled the turbo out of the truck. They said they couldnt do it because it takes to long. I dont know why that would be an issue for a shop that supposedly does all types of diesel performance... I know I was lied to because I called my usual shop and they said it takes no more than 1.5hrs to rebuild one. Not sure why a diesel performance shop would refuse to rebuild a turbo.

We run a fleet of vehicles throughout the US. One of our diesel buses broke down in Northwest Florida and thank God I met R40. They are one of the most professional, knowledgeable diesel mechanics I have ever met. From the office staff to the mechanics, fantastic.

Owner and his wife treated us like family. While vacationing in Florida, our diesel van broke down in Destin on I-98. The tow truck delivered us along with the 20-foot trailer we were towing with the van. To save us an additional tow, the owner used his own truck to take our camper trailer to a nearby RV resort. His shop was very busy; however, in 48 hours they were able to repair the sensor and correct a wire suspected of causing the outage. Once repaired, they came out to the resort and got my husband so he could pay the bill and retrieve the van. We appreciated their extremely fair pricing, efficiency, and kindness in a stressful situation.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM R40 DIESEL. BUYER BEWARE! DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU!I feel the pain as Mr. and Mrs. Irons. If I could give less than one star I would. I purchased a 2003 Ford F250 King Ranch diesel from them for $15k in September, 2016. Rachel promised it would be done in a couple weeks. Was finally ready the end of November. Long story short, Rachel promised $9k of engine work and be a brand new motor. She said that R40 was going to rebuild the engine which may or may not include the short block. Drove the truck home from Destin to Tampa only to find an oil leak. They said they fixed the leak in February, 2017 but drove it to the hotel and noticed it was still leaking. Since then the truck has been at the Ford service department longer than I have owned it and they verified that the engine has not been rebuilt. In fact, there was even RTV used on the engine. Furthermore, I have had to fix the front end, ICP, glow plug, dip stick tube, valve cover gaskets, high pressure pump gasket, injector, map sensor, transmission rear cover gasket, oil sender, rear main seal, oil cooler cover, ac compressor, new tires and having issues with the 4-wheel drive. Anyone with a new rebuilt engine would not have these problems. Rachel said that it would be a solid truck when they got finished with it. The best I can tell is they put in a new aftermarket turbo, replaced a seized piston, bored out one cylinder and added a sleeve and put it back together. Definitely not $9k of engine work. I have lost thousands of dollars so far to their negligence and lies. Good thing I kept all of the texts and documentation and have 3 other witnesses that were the day she said they were going to rebuild the engine. As it sits now, Rachel said that there is no warranty and they wont cover any of my expenses from Ford. You know the saying, I got screwed at the used car lot. Definitely a learning experience.

I would love to give them a rave review, but I just cant. They posted this sweet deal of a ford diesel truck on Craigslist, and my husband instantly fell in love. His Jeep was stolen from our driveway in Crestview. Instantly my husband went searching for a replacement vehicle because his work schedule is most important. I know a lot of you may be rolling your eyes but its true. He found their ad and contacted them immediately. They got back to him. Let him test the vehicle. Promised it was in perfect running condition and could make it 3,000 miles to our new duty station. They are liars. My husband drove the truck home from Destin to Crestview...which is barely 50 milesIt broke down. My AAA membership towed it from 10miles from home to the auto shop (R-40). There it sat for a week before they fixed it. It broke again on the way home. R-40 towed it back again. They said they fixed it and all was good. We drove it down i-10 may e 5 miles and it broke down again. We had it towed back to the shop. 3 months later, we have since had to move to Washington state, they still have our vehicle and its not done yet. More than 2 months and nothing. We have made 3 months payment on the vehicle and we still dont have the truck. Lets not mention the $2500 we had to out in the breaks they said was just fine. Lets not mention the $3500 worth of tires we had to put on the truck because the rubber was falling off of the tires they SOLD on it to us. They play nothing but games. No matter if you paid them $18,000 for a truck. Soldiers beware. They are targeting you. They offer no warranty. So as long as they get the truck to us in WA we are SOL. Im not stupid enough to know that this is what the owner is thinking. Everyone with a diesel emergency beware. They will work you over. Still waiting on our truck...... Months later. This shop is all about the money and not customer service. I hear they is w guy in Pensacola that will take better care of you.

Patricio and Rachel are a true god send to me and my business. I co-own a landscape business in the Destin area, we have approx. 15 trucks in the fleet. R-40 has taken all the headache off of my shoulder as far as having to call around and ask for referrals to find a decent diesel mechanic (or at least someone who will shoot straight with you). The most awesome thing about Patricio, is he doesnt know the meaning of no, quit, or I cant. He will find the issue every time and get you going as quickly as possible. The service reports they create for every vehicle is also very valuable, whether for clients knowledge or for re-sale purposes. Ive never had a service shop put so much detail in their service report.Lifetime customer!!!!!Magdi MalekLawnscape Services, Inc.
