I was referred to At Home Contracting thanks to Nick at Blue Haven (who designed an awesome pool, by the way). Matt was our GC and Martin did the build out. They installed a cover and screen over our deck. They put this up almost two months ago. With all of the rains we’ve had, not one drop of water leaked. We can now sit outside and enjoy our new backyard. Thanks to Joe and his crew for getting this together!
Started remodeling our bathroom in February, it is now September and they have not finished. The bathroom tile has been replaced twice already due to their mistakes. They have caused almost 20k dollars in damages to the property. To include flooring throughout the home, entire wardrobes in a closet, grass that they dumped concrete on. Biggest thing of all is that there is property that has been stolen from the home to include a firearm. Its a shame that the owner is responsible for this but unfortunately the actions of the workers reflect on the business.
We had At Home Contracting cover and screen in our patio. We were very happy with the finished product due to the collective efforts of Joe (the owner) and the crew involved. We really appreciated the efforts of Mr. Mark Stinson, Joes do-it-all maintainer, who installed our vinyl siding and put the finishing touches (caulking, adjusting, etc.) on everything. As with any contractor during these times, dont hesitate to work with Joe on a realistic start/finish date and pay attention to the details as the work is being done. Bottom line, we give a thumbs up after all is said and done.
At Home came highly recommended by Randy Wise Construction. We hired At Home to build a screened in porch at our home.We signed a contract on April 1(which turns out to be very appropriate). After five months of getting no where, we have no porch, and finally told them we wanted our deposit back, and for them to fix the damage done to our property. We will be suing for breach of contract, and property damage. We will not be going away.Do not use this company.
Made a good faith deposit in Feb 2021, 60+ days without contact or work. finally heard from Mr. Morales and he agreed to refund our deposit since he hadnt started nor could he get to the work in a timely manner. He put the check in the mail. 30+ days more without contact. finally hear from Mr. Morales again and the check is still in the mail. now he no longer replies to emails and still no refund. thought this was a reputable business, but they are just another crooked contractor. Buyer beware!
They are a awesome business that takes care of their customers and have highly experienced Craftsman . Very reasonabley priced with quality assurance!
At Home Contracting took 27 weeks to complete a small addition to an existing screen porch. Nearly 7 months ! Poor communication between their office and their contractors and with me, their customer. I cannot recommend At Home Contracting at this time.
Terrible communication. At the end of the job Mat slapped some paint on the ceiling that does not match
We got an estimate on a Florida room and decided to move forward on Aug 21, 2020, the day we closed on our home. Matt told us it will take approximately 3 weeks from start to finish. We paid $1900 down, and sent our survey. Needless to say, it is now Dec 9th and we have no completed Florida room.Almost 2 months later, the frame was installed on Oct 6th with no windows. We have a frame up with a door and no glass. You can step over the frame and just walk out to the backyard. It is a disaster and our grass is going to need replacing because they left frame pieces just lying in the backyard. They claim it’s needed for the windows. My husband keeps trying to move them to save the grass. They also left metal pieces and screws all in the yard which my 1 year old has been picking up. I told the owner about this and got no response.Sadly, I HATE we went with this company. As military members we’ll prob PCS before we get a completed Florida room. Had we known it would take this long, we wouldn’t have paid our money. But Matt told us 3 weeks and we were ecstatic to say the least. Mind you, we were already in the pandemic. It didn’t start and a shortage had just happened. So, he should have known it would take longer, and should’ve briefed this. Being straight-forward is the answer. But either he was trying to make a sell or simply lied...that’s what he told us.We have to call the owner, Joe for an update. Each time he blames COVID and the supplier. The supplier is a business problem not a customer issue. He doesn’t want to give us a refund. He simply mentions the contract. Contract my butt! This company is so misleading. Then we’ll take off work and wait for his contractors to show up...and nothing. He does verbal scheduling I assume. Then later doesn’t remember. In the beginning he said to contact him via text because it’s faster but I have messages where I didn’t get any responses at all. Then if you call, a few days later he doesn’t remember nothing. This Florida room is $9600 and we are in no way, form, shape or fashion wanting to spend it with this company. We are considering a lawyer despite the contract. He straight up told us “no refunds”. Sometimes a contract needs to be readdressed when issues like this rise. We are VERY UNHAPPY!!!If you want to wait forever and do not like updates, go with them. I’m not even sure if wait forever is an option because we still don’t have a completed project and it’s almost 2021. We advise you not to use this company.
They sent out a project manager 6 weeks ago to look at a roof project. They stated they would get back to me in 3 or 4 days with a preliminary design and estimate. Over more than 6 weeks I have called the project manager Matt every week. I have spoken to the company owner twice. Each time they say they will call back in a couple of days. Not once have they returned a call or followed up with info they said they would provide.
Joseph and Lisa run an Incredible business offering awesome services. Highly recommend At Home Contracting. A+
I had a recurring problem and I was quite upset but the team at At Home Contracting made numerous trips to my home until the elusive issue was resolved. My confidence in their work and commitment is restored. Good people to work with. I receive many compliments on the work they did. I would use them again.
DJ and his team completed a new sunroom for us after some damage from a Hurricane Michael and did a great job. We recommend At Home Contracting. We are still doing some work on our home and pool area but are looking forward to enjoying our new sunroom. Louis & Cathy Tate Panama City Beach.01/26/2021Well we were happy until Tropical storm Sally came through with a lot of rain and we had leaks throughout our roof. My husband called many times and no one called back and after about three months someone showed up and looked at the roof and advised us that they had not sealed it at all and that was the last we see or heard from them. He told my husband that it should have been taped so he ordered some and has tried his best to do it himself. We had rain today and we still have some leaks. We paid around $20,000 for this sunroom and was enjoying it until it started leaking. The owner has never called us either. Very poor way to operate a business.
Four years ago I had a huge deck installed, a complete gut and master bathroom remodel and master bedroom remodel. Outstanding workmanship! Price was spot on. They work with you in getting you what you want. And the whole team is professional competent. I have just signed a contact to gut and remodel the main bathroom in my 1970s home. I have no doubt, from concept, mock-up and completion that I will be happy.
Were new to the area so we did extra research and attempted to contact many companies and finally we found one that meets our expectations. This company is very responsive and experienced with stellar reviews. Ms. Lisa at At Home Contracting is so friendly, helpful and professional-- she definitely gave us a great impression of the company. I will update my 5-star review once we start working with them and after everythings complete. Looking forward to working with this company for our house renovations!Update: I do not usually leave bad reviews and I dont even like to leave anything less than 4 stars, but I couldnt delete this previously 5-star rating, so Im going to try to help others that are in my shoes who are looking for a reliable, dependable general contractor. This really should be a zero-star rating but Im going to be generous and leave it at 2 stars since I had a good first impression. Matt never got back to us on the bid after waiting over a month with no contact from him whatsoever. As you can imagine, this is very frustrating. He was late upon arrival during the first week of May 2020 and rushed through the house (even though we made the appointment, not last minute), missing many, if not all, important factors that we needed renovation. Of course this reflected upon the faulty kitchen layout design that he was very late in getting back to us, even after I emailed him a sketch of the kitchen design with measurements with exactly what I wanted. How much easier can it get? And it was wrong again the second time he sent it. (How??) Now that Ive experienced at least 10 other cabinet places, I know it can take just about 20 minutes to come up with a design on the computer. I literally waited for a few to be done when I just happened to stop by some random stores. Matt said he would have a bid for us in a week. Well, a week passed, we received nothing. Then another week passed, still nothing. And he didnt bother to email, text or call or anything about the delay. Very unprofessional. This really had me thinking about all the things he said to convince me to move forward with him-- about how communication/professionalism/ quality work are important and that hes working on this $200,000 or $400,000 (I was pretty annoyed that he brought this back up again and I wasnt really listening) backyard reno, etc. He keeps on trying to defend why he had a negative review on Google (well, I guess this will be another one). I mean what does that have to do with this project. Talk is cheap. Had I not reached out to him, he wouldnt have sent the kitchen design at all, which he didnt even have to work on-- somebody else did and he just had to forward the email to me. Today is June 10th, 2020, and we still have recieved nothing. A lot of time wasted. He is a great salesman, repeating the same sales pitch at least three times to us. Initially, we really wanted this to work out--even waited this long for him to reach out but nope, nothing. He failed to deliver, which is so much more important than talking alone. Actions are greater than words. Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed. Btw, we are doing an almost full gut of our house. Matt even mentioned this reno would be around $150K, but how are we supposed to trust him. Were glad time showed us true colors, and we did our due diligence in getting bids from other general contractors, so we wouldnt have made this terrible decision. We are so glad we didnt sign anything with this company.
My husband and I wanted a sunroom for next summer, as nice as it is being out in the open it is entirely too hot. We tried this company, the guy who came out to us was very nice and eager to help us. After that we mainly talked to the contractor himself if we needed something or we could just leave a voicemail and they got back to us the next day usually. The overall sunroom looks ready for this killer summer coming up!
Great people that do great work. Always pleasant experience
I love this company Joseph Morales is a real honarable man i look up to if you are looking for a good home improvement company you wont find none better thanks for everything you all have done for me
Friendly and easy to work with. Great attention to detail.
Wouldnt trust them with a big job. My Florida Room leaked, windows are not set properly, and through 3+ months of trial and error, the finished $35,000 product is just average. Called them 1 month ago for a leak...had to call them back today. Horrible.
Easy to work with, reasonable prices and good workmanship!
