They saved me from spending $500 on a new phone. We originally took it to a different repair shop to get the screen fixed. When they returned the phone to us it was no longer cutting on. Since that repair shop did not fix the phone properly I took it to Big Al’s and they were able to fix the problem right away. They even replaced the volume button and did not charge me extra $. Everyone was very helpful and my husbands phone is working great. My only regret it that I didn’t come here first. Ask for CARLOS!!

First off I should have checked Yelp reviews before going here. These Google reviews are misleading as hell and do not give the correct representation of this establishment. So many red flags! Please take the time to read my story, trust me itll save you time and money!!!!!I recently took my iPad here to get the screen repaired because it was cracked. No biggie, routine, I assumed a lot of people crack their screens and get it fixed here. I was told it would be ready the following day. That didnt happen. My expectation was to get it the next day or receive a phone call telling me its going to take a little longer. Well my expectations for that small gesture were too high apparently because that didnt happen. I had to call and was told it wont be ready until the next day, well call you. Next day comes and no call, called them and was told itll be the next day. Repeat for the following day. 5 days later its ready. I go to pick it up, paid and noticed it restarted upon transferring from his hand to my hand. Thought nothing of it. I got home and Im trying to use my iPad like I normally would and it restarted. Weird. Let me try something else, restarted. I thought well damn this is annoying maybe I should just use the internet on it first. Opened Safari, restarted. Ok now this is a problem, I went to pee and came back to see it restarting without having been touch. NEVER DID THIS BEFORE. Not even when it was cracked. I called them and explained the problem, ok bring it back they said. I brought it back the following day and was told well figure it out and call you in a few hours with an update that didnt happen!!I called the following day and (after repeatedly calling because nobody answered might I add) I was asked what are we doing to it? wow really? Sure if I called and said wheres my iPad I can understand that response but Ive been calling throughout the day. Ive been in communication with yall for over a week. Ive paid already. I politely reminded him that the iPad keeps restarting on its own upon receipt of it last week. The following day I called and finally got to talk to someone and again was asked what are we doing to it? I politely reminded him again it keeps restarting on its own. Oh were still trying to figure it out, give us another day, well call you ok cool thanks for the update. Following day, no call so I decide well let me follow-up on the iPad again. were still trying to figure it out, itll be in the morning well call you ok thanks. Next day cant get an answer on the phone this time. I decide well lets just go get the iPad because its obviously not gonna work. I went to get it and was told it hasnt restarted all day so its fixed now. COOL!! GREAT!! Thanks!! Got home and wanted to test it out, restarted again. Mother of god. HERE WE GO AGAIN!! Its been 2 weeks. Do I wanna bring it back? Not really, not after all these red flags.Again I reiterate, save time and save your money, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Literally, theres probably someone on Craigslist who could use the business. Again, SAVE TIME AND SAVE YOUR MONEY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

I broke the screen on my moto phone, Big Als was the only place who had the screen to replace it same day. They seem to have a steady steam of customers and took longer than expected to repair the phone, but they did an excellent job and are very professional and polite. If/when I crack my screen again I will definitely have it repaired here.

This my second time getting my iPhone 6s fixed and my screen sometimes freezes up and the bright old school dude is the one that’s always working on my phone, never call when it’s time for me to come pick it up or never fix it I have to literally wait like 2 extra hours because of his no good handyman work!!!. So yeah I’m still having trouble with my Phone as of today 2020 but I’m cool with that because I done been through literally 15 phones since 2019-2020

Have used there services since I was in highschool and Ive been out for 18 years so that should say something about the respect and confidence I have for Big Al and his associates!! 2👍s in my opinion!!

I broke my screen on my S9 plus Friday night and immediately went into a panic because the phone was basically a paper weight and was absolutely useless. Called a few places in Cedar hill and was quoted $270 for the screen repair by Batteries plus bulbs. Would have considered them but they did not have the screen in stock and would have taken 1week to get the screen.Decided to try Big Als. After calling was promised same day service and was quoted $225 for the screen replacement. I was in a pickle because I didnt want to go to Tmobile a finance another phone for $1400 and I also had precious memories on this phone that i couldnt access. Big Als had very competitive pricing and with the same day promised I decided to give them a try.So the young lady that works in the store may be the owners relative was very sweet but not the best at answering questions about the repair or about the warranty. Which I found out is 30 days provided no new damage occurs to the phone.I called them at 10am and was told that it would take 1-2hrs to have the phone repaired. I was excited about this because I had plans to enjoy the day with my family and since they closed at 5pm I knew I would be back in time to get my phone. I dropped the phone off at 1030 and was told again it would be a few hours.I didnt hear from them at all and had to continuously call to get an update. I gave them until 230pm before I called for status and I definitely understand repairing a phone is no easy chor. I was told at that time that my phone was being worked on at that time and would be another hour. So 330pm passes and I dont hear anything, 4pm passes still nothing and finally at 430 pm i called and asked if was ready because I knew they closed at 5pm and closed on Sundays. Finally when I called I was told that my phone was ready.I went to pick up the phone and it works great and looks great. Big Als does good work but they should set a better expectations for the customer and consider their time. I wasted my day waiting for them when they could have told me from the beginning that it would be ready at the end of the day. They should also provide updates during the repair process and keep the customer informed on where their phone is in line for repairs.Decent service and they kept their promise same day service. All in all I will take my wifes phone to get repaired. Paid $243 out the door with taxes and Im back in business.** only rated a 3 for lack of commutation to customers which makes it average service**

I took my 7th gen IPad there to get the screen replaced. My son broke it after only having it a month. Apple told me it was $250 to get my screen replaced. I took it to al’s and they replaced it for less than half the cost and gave me a discount on a case and screen protector for getting the repair done with them. Will definitely be going back if I have issues again.

Big Als is magic. Someone was trying to have me wait a week for a part and charge me over $200 for something Al got within 2 days and did for $90. He even fixed things I didnt realize were broken. I was afraid I was going to have to pay more because my phone was a little wonky but within an hour from starting to work on it it was fixed. I made the drive from Duncanville but would easily make a much longer trip any day of the week. Im never going to anyone else again and Im ALWAYS going to refer people to him. I definitely found a gem w/ them!💎

Staff was very friendly and did everything they could to help me out. They did not have my screen In stock, but they gave me a temp screen until mine came in the next day so I could continue to use my phone for work.10/10 would recommend and use again. Lets just hope I dont have to for a while. :-)

In no time flat AL had determined what the problem was with my phone, given a price and told me it would be ready in an hour! Only some of the features worked on my phone. I was embarrassed at how fast Carlos found and corrected that issue! They were friendly, helpful and very welcoming in store. I wrote this review on yelp... I want everyone to know that I would recommend this place, therefore I am leaving it on Google too. Excellent cell phone repair location. As a waited in the waiting area for my phone to be repaired I noticed other people coming in with similar phone problems as me (broken screen). I didnt feel as bad for breaking my phone screen. I notice other problems like charging ports that needed to be fixed. I was amazed at how many devices was coming in and was able to be fixed while waiting. There was one guy that came in and his part needed to be ordered so he had to wait til the next day :(. Anyhow I got my phone back and it has been working fine. No problems. Thankful of having a local shop and was able to help me get my communications back the same day. Thanks again Big Als Cellular Repair.

This place is garbage. I went here to get my screen fixed because they advertised that they fixed iPhone 6 Pluses for $80. Not even a week later, my phone began to freeze. It took multiple times of me cutting it on and off for it to start back working. never go here they are going to mess your phone up sorry service

It wasnt until months later I went back to the these guys 3 times in the last 4 months for my screen coming off my phone... instead off fixing the problem they created, they wanted to charge me $95 for a new screen ... My phone screen was only cracked. After I paid 140 to fix it a week later half the phone screen became black then few days after the whole screen was black. Not even a month. Waste of money. The screen was not put in right as I could see under it but I was too happy to get back my phone and get the info I wanted from it. Also, I noticed that my phone started moving real slow. I hate careless and unorganized customer service. NEVER AGAIN!So my son dropped his iPad, I took it to get it fixed at Big Al’s in Desoto. (8/19) They fix it, and the next day the home button doesn’t work, took it back up there that morning (8/20) the lady at the front says it’ll be ready later on that evening.. I CALLED that evening wasn’t ready. The next day I CALLED (8/21) and the technician was eating lunch and the lady at the front didn’t know the status. Sooo I said I’ll just chill and and give them a few days....still NOTHING! On Thursday (8/29) I called back and the lady at the front was like it should be ready this evening. If not this evening, tomorrow. Which was a Friday. You think she called? Nah!Sooo, yesterday was a Holiday and they were closed. I get that. So today i called and asked about the dang iPad and of course she doesn’t know, oh yea the technician was on break again too. So i was like y’all just don’t call y’all customers and let them know the status of their item? She was like we do. I was like ma’am this last 2-3 weeks IVE BEEN CALLING YOU. She was like I’ll be sure to call you back within 30 mins. You think she called? At this point I’m just over it all.The man gone come to the front. I said it’s good, it’s not gone break again is it. He talking about it depends on how hard he presses it and it still look like he just threw it together.Betcha I’ll go to the Apple store next time!!

Brought my phone in and a replacement battery and Barry told me itd be ready in an hour. Came back and my phone was ready and they had it charging for me. The price was reasonable and the service was great.

Me and a friend got our iPhones (iPhone 7 and 7 plus) fixed here. We both paid $150 each. Both were pretty badly crack. Both of us had no problems for about 5-6 days after getting it fixed. Now 2 weeks later his iPhone 7 still works he just has to tap on the app he is trying to use about 7 times before it opens! And now 6 days after Ive gotten my iPhone 7 plus fixed the screen comes on but the only thing that works in my thumb print to unlock the phone I am unable to open any apps or access anything on my phone. Youd think oh thats what Siri is for right? Well for some reason my speaker doesnt work at all. I will be taking my phone back up to Big Als tomorrow but I am very unsatisfied. I could have spent $10 more and drove 20 more minutes and got it fixed at the Apple store and probably wouldnt have had this problem. Side note: We have both had our phones under a year so they are not just malfunctioning due to age.

I dont usually give reviews but i had to give a shout out to Big Als. My samsung 10 2.0 stopped charging chargin. I took it to Twisted Cellular. Repair in cedar hill because it was closer to me. The young lady(after telling her the problem) took the tablet and used one of her charging cords. Still not charging she told me that it probably was my board and i should get a new tablet. I headed straight to Big Als. After checking it he told me it he was going to try a new battery, that didnt work jhe suggested a new charging port. And now my tablet is working perfectly. And all i paid for was the charging port. I should have went there first like i usually do. THANKS BIG AL.

Quick and painless. Price was super fair to replace a battery in my iphone last month. Apple wanted $80 and had to wait 3 days for an appointment. Al replaced it in 5 minutes for a 1/3 of the price. A month has gone by and phone works like new.

The screen looked great but caused major problems for me subsequently. Photos taken from my camera were blurry and I experienced EXTREME sensitivity, to the point that the phone would get stuck on mute, speaker phone, and other random screens without allowing me to exit. Sometimes it would not even allow me to answer phone calls or texts which caused me to miss out on business opportunities as a hairstylist/makeup artist.I took the phone back several times to have the screen replaced only to be told that they did not have my screen in. Last night my phone fell and has a crack in it again. I called to see if the screen for my phone is back in and was told that they have 500 of them but cannot replace it without charging me due to the new crack. Now, they already OWED ME A NEW SCREEN FROM THE DEFECTIVE ONE THAT THEY INITIALLY SOLD ME but have the audacity to charge me AGAIN. I do not recommend ANYONE to support or do business with this establishment of con artists. I try to support small businesses, ESPECIALLY black owned but I get SCREWED 80% of the time. I am currently working to find out whether or not they are even an authorized Apple service provider.NEVER THE HELL AGAIN. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

This is the worst phone place ever....Dont go to greg..or carlos....i took my iPhone 7 plus 2 days ago and the last two days keep creating problems with my phone that wasnt there when I dropped it off... We get here today and have to go bad to my 160 back... Then they put it together all the way wrong... The cusromee service is terrible..they drag their feet answering the phone... Be ware this a scam go someplace else

The guys running this shop are complete idiots. I went in because my iPhone 7 couldnt detect my headphones and my mic wasnt working. I was told it would take about an hour and a half to fix...I come back two hours later, just for him to tell me he fixed my screen. I told him Im not paying for a fixed screen, so it took ANOTHER hour to fix. I come back just for them to have removed my case, NOT resolve the issue that I originally came in for, and now my phone doesnt even charge. Absolute morons, poor customer service, dont listen to the customers. The only plus is that they didnt charge me. I wouldnt even come in for a simple cracked screen, because they cant follow the most basic instructions.

I got my phone fixed and I was very well pleased! Shout out to my hair stylist Chad Paskins for the referral! They worked fast and efficient and its black owned..... After trying place after place, who couldnt fix it this MAN (Big Al) fixed it worked so diligently, hard and was determined to get that screen fixed and phone back on ). Only waited for 35 minutes, if you need any type of phone repair ( Samsung, Apple, LG, Android, etc....) such as screen, battery, sims, backs, cases, etc go there. You wont be disappointed. P.S.: Prices are reasonable and affordable - Truly happy and satisfied customer!

Went back for my iPhone 6. It was brand new. Nice guy great service.

Brought in my daughters phone because it was acting strange. Tech said it had water damage (possible) and he doesnt work on those sorts of phones because they can contain (computer) viruses. He also said water damaged phones are not repairable.Of course phones exposed to water may be repairable, but could have problems later. Water causing computer viruses??? The tech may be competent to follow directions, and replace a screen but IMHO has no clue about how electronics work.

The only place I go to get my phones charger port, cracked screen or new battery fix o recommend you check them out.

Terrible work. Basically ruined my new Galaxy S6. Quoted a price for screen replacement, then jacked up the price because they damaged the back and had to replace it too. Got phone back but mounting tape was blocking backlight on button, so I took it back. They kept it another whole day (3 days total) and when I picked it up the inside of the screen has a smudge in it, it is scratched on the under side of the glass, backlight still looks funky, and both front and back are falling off because they tried to reuse the original tape. Worst possible job, and this was a $250 repair! Very unprofessional too. Every time I went in they had friends hanging out joking around and cutting up. Youre better off ordering the parts, watching a YouTube video, and fixing it yourself.

I recently when to Big Al to get two of my cellphones screen fix one of them cracked 3 days later out of nowhere and the other 2 weeks later I didnt drop my phone its weird but thats what happen. I think that the screens they use are very cheap and they charge too much I will not go back next time I will head down to Harry hines.

Called to get a cracked screen quote I was talking and was getting no response man replied by saying yeah I was waitin on you to speak.... then I ask how much it was to fix a cracked I phone screen then very rudely he asks I phone 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12???? I told him which one then didnt even go there because of how rude they were on the phone. Ive never broken my screen before and he was extremely rude whoever answered the phone at around 11 am today (8/25/2017)
