When there this weekend. Got a department trainee, which is fine, but there was no senior department employee to help/assist her as she was under trained. Wasted at least 30-45 minutes of my time.

Lowes has quality name brand products. I like the tile materials.
Lowe’s never disappoints. The customer service seems to be getting better and better every time I go. There are some really kind people working there. And so far I always find what I’m looking for.
Lowe’s is absolutely fabulous!!! There staff is helpful and nice. They take time to explain things to you if you don’t understand. Their products are of the highest quality and plenty of parking and handicap parking. They follow recent health guidelines and never once had a negative experience. Highly recommended A++++++++++++
Looking for houseplant, not a good selection, not organized, the available plants were not well tended and there was no real help to be found. I had much better luck at a grocery store florist, and I paid $5 less for the same Hendriks Indoor Garden. Fine for other things I guess, but I get better service at home depot.
This is a definitely not a bad lowes location. The staff are usually friendly and reasonably helpful. The store is pretty clean and they have a real nice outdoor section.
Its a Lowes. Staff seems helpful. Not super busy where you can get in and out with what you need. Also you can always find someone if you need help.The garden shop seems to have a large amount of nice inventory *2020 season they did.
Could not be happier with the expert customer service and friendly, professional assistance from the appliance representatives Kolbi and Bob. They were extremely helpful and accommodating with all aspects with our purchase of our high end double convection ovens and dishwasher. I will highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase appliances, to see Bob or Kolbi at the Derby, CT store for the BEST service!

I’ll let you all in on a secret: no builder decides to make their full-time career at Lowe’s (or Home Depot et al.,). The people are here for a paycheck.There’s nothing wrong with working for a paycheck but I think people expect workers to know every single thing and be able to answer every single question that they may have about their home improvement project That brought them to Lowe’s in the first place. There is a book called everything sold in hardware stores, and even with a 12 edition, it’s still doesn’t have a quarter of the things in the hardware store. So don’t expect some Lowe’s worker to know every single part in the store, or to be at Oracle for your home improvement project.I do agree that most people are not going to be that helpful at the store. So here is a tip: act very confused and scratch your head with one hand while banging the shelf with another. Most people will ignore you but one worker will probably try and help you. That person will try their best to resolve all your questions. If you flag down somebody they are probably on their way to do something else and don’t care about your problem.I agree with the earlier comments about the cashiers at this place. I don’t know why they are so rude.One issue I have with Lowe’s in general is that they don’t consistently stock their products. This store and no crushed bluestone whole the Hamden Store does. Some stores stock fireplace equipment, some stores don’t. It would be easier if the stores had consistent materials so you didn’t have to guess.This was dictated from my phone sorry about any grammar mistakes.
They never come to exchange the propane promptly. 25 minutes tonight. I let them know and they called someone named Jack. He came straight away and was wonderful.

After Going to Lowes for the past 10 years, I have made friends with the staff who are always Knowledgeable and friendly.
Like shopping here compared to the other big box hardware store. Well lit, all the aisles are neat and marked with what they have. Everything is stocked and faced nicely. Very clean and sanitized facility. I feel the items here are a little better quality than big orange. Friendly staff and enty of open registers.

Update:Andrew Horan assisted me with an ongoing issue I had. He completely restored my faith in Lowes. He resolved the issue had almost immediately. He provided quick and clear communication.I will be returning Lowes from here on out.Thank you again Andrew!
I always have been impressed with Lowes layout its easy to find products and they are usually well stocked. I highly recommend taking a look.

I was purchased tools today had questions to ask i was there for over a hour not one person could be found one customer had a return front desk told him go the tool dep where he he waited 45 min to be helped i worked at a lumber yard for over 20 yrs i be applying for a job next week i my education in lumber industry and knowledge would be used to help benefit customers your check out personal is very good even if not busy still help customers to show what isle or location of products they can help people what they desire to purchase
I have called the Derby store multiple times to speak to someone. After over 15 minutes each call, I still have not spoken to anyone. I can understand that you have customers but you gotta answer and say something.. Im currently on hold for 22 minutes. Ive tried different departments. I just have a couple questions about truck rentals that I dont want to have to go to the store and find out that they dont have it.

Very unhappy. They installed my kitchen in July still waiting for material that wasnt received. Cabinets were not measures correctly. Still fighting over covering nail holes. No response unless I actually go into the store. Then its a run around. I would not recommend them at all.
Has to easily be the worst experience Ive ever had when trying to get something delivered. in April I ordered 18 fence panels to be delivered, they had them in stock up until they were ready to be delivered and then they call and reschedule. Ok but they did the same thing all summer. Over and over again. So finally I cancelled. And I saw the fence pickets in stock and figured Id go for that and gave them one more chance to deliver. Nope they cancelled them also. At least with those I had a vehicle that was able to pick them up with. So I went and picked them up. My problem with them is why do you say you will deliver something and cancel at the last minute, over and over again. You had them in stock. I saw them with my own eyes. The panels I didnt have a vehicle to pick them up with. But the pickets I not only saw with my own eyes. I also picked up. Really bad customer service. If you dont want to deliver, just say so.
Terrible Customer Service Again!!!! I ordered wood for delivery via the computer. Lowes schedules me for delivery from Derby CT and some from Ulster NY. The morning of delivery, they tell me that Derby doesnt deliver to NY (remember, they scheduled the delivery, not me). I speak with the manager, JOHN, and tell him of my aggravation...he agrees that it is a problem that should be fixed within the computer software. I need this half of the order to build the deck. Nothing he can do. I agree to pick up the lumber...he tells me that he will have it ready and that he would monetarily compensate me when I got there. One HOUR drive...the wood is NOT ready. A young man that worked there was very helpful and went thru 60 or more pieces of 2x6x8 PT wood to find 15 pieces that were actually of decent quality. I had to purchase 4 bags of gravel that I dont need to hold down the wood from sliding out of the truck. When asked to speak to JOHN the MANAGER he was at lunch (how convenient). The lady manager tried to assist but she was just reiterating their delivery policy (I didnt kick the order to their store...LOWES did)...I had had it, I already spent an hour at the store picking out lumber and buying unnecessary gravel; not to mention the HOUR drive home! Ive been trying to get ahold of JOHN on the phone this afternoon however LOWES in DERBY will not pick up the phone...after so many rings, the system kicks me out. 38 minutes of trying via phone....finally someone answered. JOHN is with another customer so I left my name and number. Hopefully he calls me back soon so I can drive to Danbury CT Lowes to return the bags of gravel I dont need...another hour plus trip! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MANAGEMENT!

We specifically chose Lowe’s because we have always had great service In the past. This time not so much. H clerk has a different answer for their policies we are told last night after calling pacifically about a policy that we would be able to come back to the store today and get it settled so we did when we got back to the store they told us Something different again. And at the customer service desk was not very nice with customer relations. They made us come back and forth twice now with Misinformation. Extremely frustrating and inconsistent no value for peoples time and the type of money they are spending.

I needed to return two freigt damaged curtain rods that Id ordered on line. ($115.00)The service given during my return was excellent.
I only checked out the houseplants in the garden center on this Nov 19, 2020 visit. There were lovely holiday decorations, but the houseplants were blah at best and a lot of them had been there for a while and werent in good shape. I didnt see a clearance table, but I saw a lot of plants that should have been on one. If youre a plant collector, there werent any gems in there. Most of the plants were the standard starter or office plants - shabby pothos, diffenbachias, scheffleras, very basic succulents, and a small selection of 4 plants on a dark shelf. While there were good beginner plants, its not where Id send someone to start their plant collection because so many of the plants were teetering on rehab quality but at full price.
Its so easy to find what youre looking for in Lowes.
TERRIBLY RUN BUSINESS. they called me 3 times to confirm a delivery of a dishwasher and never. showed. called the delivery company and they said it was cancelled and it is lowes responsibility to call and to to contact them, lowes puts me on hold for over an hour. Takes no responsibility and says there are no more deliveries today. I think they could have called to let me know. I asked how this happens, and how they could not notify someone waiting and ruining and wasting a whole day waiting and the manager says I DONNNO want us to come tomorrow? my God... what an awful company to do business with.
I used to shop at home depot for past 20 years. I recently started shopping at Lowes about one year ago and the employees are more knowledgeable and always helpful and kind. Product on shelves are available and organized.
I called prior to going and spoke with customer service as I was interested in purchasing a riding mower and having it delivered. I was told on the phone they would be able to deliver within the next two days. However when I got to the store, the associate told me it would be at least 10 days. I am taking my business elsewhere
This store and their helpful staff has made buying a fixer upper and moving 500 miles during COVID-19 a lot less stressful.
During the pandemic Lowes like everyone was running out of supplies. I few months later and supplies are coming in. I can finish installing fencing and garden needs. Lowes prices are just as competitive as other box stores. But using their credit card gives you 10% off all items. Keep it up Lowes!

Absolutely fantastic garden section. But as great as it is, their phone service is equally lousy. Called 7 times over about 25 minutes. Was disconnected twice after a busy signal, left on indefinite hold three times, and two times I called it just rang and rang and nobody picked up. I only talked to a person twice for about 5 seconds each time, who forwarded my call to nowhere. 0 stars for phone service, 5 stars for the garden section. I only wish I could find out if they have a particular plant in stock :(
Every time I go to this location there is almost no one working the registers. Instead there is one person monitoring self checkout lanes. At a hardware store, when Im dropping a substantial amount of money, I expect someone to help me check my things out for me.
First time I bought an appliance from Lowes online and was delivered defective piece from Lowes Derby CT location. Since then I have called several time to Lowes customer service and Derby CT location..but no one has returned my call. I will never buy again from Lowes and wont recommend again to go through such bad exerience. Very poor service. If I dont get a call, I need to see what I can do to get my money back..I am still within my 30 days return policy and probably they want to let it pass. Very unprofessional.

False advertisement on lawnmower, I told a staff member I would like to purchase one. To then be told the prices are for the grills no grill displayed or anywhere around at all. I asked for a manager to then find out the prices are correct but They are all placed incorrectly. Manager didn’t want to honor the price. I’ll be sending video and pictures to corporate. My complaint is there isn’t enough people in this store to help anyone. My experience is that I had gone in the appliance dept looking for a otr microwave oven and there was only one person and he was already helping someone.

Think twice before you order an appliance here. They are holding my stove that i need to cook my Christmas dinner in hostage!!!!! I want my stove, I paid $700 on December 2nd. Why cant your Derby CT, store seem to deliver my stove. You have wasted 3 days of my time having me wait all day to not get any kind of response. Your associate have no integrity and are blame shifting puppets. Who do I need to speak to at Lowes to get a responsible champion who will take my problem seriously own up to the fact that there was a problem and say i will make sure to fix this for you. Im waiting......... Oh wait has hell frozen over. I look forward to hearing all the lies the next Lowes rep is going to give me. Lets go Im ready!!! if i could give them no stars i would.

Customer service terrible! I made a mistake I had to return some things from a different Loews. I apologize and really appreciated they going beyond to help me. My tip: margarita customers like me pay your bill, smile, treat others nice, you made me feel very bad! Not only the way you treat me was bad, your attitude was contagious... because of you treating others bad, other employers copied you. At the end you said you couldn’t do nothing for me, well your manager did. Imagine if your attitude were better?! Someone could have left a wonderful review. Also I noticed I’m not the only one referring about you in the reviews. I will try my best to not come back here.

First of all i came from Home Depot because i was looking for a acurite digital temp and humditiy read for my poison dart 🐸 frog tank ..Easy as pie at first i walked around tried to find it on my own but uts my first time there..so after 20 minutes of wondering around i asked customer service for it i had the info written down part and item number..She actually walked me to it and handed it to me ..Wow now thats phucking service
Ordered a Husqvarna z248f zero turn mower and matching bagger from the Derby, CT store. The wrong mower was delivered, when trying to get the correct mower/ bagger combination dealkng with customer service/ managers was so bad I just had them pick the wrong mower/bagger up and refun my money. Trying to reach the store over the phone was nearly impossible. I first called the lowes customer service number and was told someone would call me back by end of business the next day, never received a call back. I tried to call the Derby store the next day for about an hour and they failed to answer the phone at all so tried to call the main customer service number for Lowes again. Once I got through after 45-50 mins I was transferred to the Derby store to speak to a manager and it just rang for 20 minutes until I hung up. 2 days later I tried to call the Derby store yet again, customer service picked up and attempted to transfer me to a manager 3 separate times to no avail so I drove to the store. The person at the customer service desk could not get a manager so had me return the bagger and offered for me to keep the other mower which was a larger/slightly more expensive model and the would get a bagger for that one then was told they couldnt get a bagger for the mower I recieved and couldnt get the mower that I was originally supposed to receive, she said she would take my phone number and see if they could locate a bagger and call me back by end of business that day. By the afternoon of the following day I still had not heard anything back so I drove back to the store and finally talked to a Manager who said that it didnt seem like it was possible I wasnt able to get help from the beginning of this whole ordeal and and that point I was so frustrated I just had them pick up the mower and refund me. I will not be dealing with them again.

I ordered a Grill, They said it will come in 7 days, exactly on Thursday... I come in on Thursday (I called them and they said it was ready for pick up, making me drive 25 minutes), I found out that it was not ready and not to be ready for another 3 days, I come in 3 days later, they said its not ready, it will be ready tomorrow and they will call me, Lowes never called me, I finally called them, they said it was ready, I pick up the Grill, and this is part where I lose it and made me write this 1 star review... They forgot to put the electric switch to start the Grill, making me AGAIN drive back to Lowes to get it, my question is WHY ARE YOU SO INCOMPETENT???
