I went in to get advice about starting a non-profit. I left with a negative and defeated outlook. The lady I met with was a dream killer and basically told me I would not be able to achieve what I set out to do. What I had hoped for was someone to provide ideas and direction to start my business. They did not follow through on their mission or philosophy of helping people in the community.

Read Just Start Harvard Business Review Press or The Origin & Evolution of New Businesses Oxford University Press, true pictures about how businesses really start, then judge for yourself. Businesses just dont start the way the SBA and its many offshoots say they should. Seems to me its a tax funded trap to snuff out the true entrepreneurial spirit, and it is working.

The SBDC provides amazing services for growing businesses. The experts here have provided me the support to grow my business by teaching me the skills I need to be successful. The workshops provide great content in a variety of different topics and are hosted at ideal times for busy entrepreneurs.
