Dimitri and his crew are good people. I’ve been coming here for several years now and will continue to do so. They’re almost always able to get me in within a week and have the diagnostics and repairs completed by the end of the same day. The work is quality and holds up and prices are very reasonable. I’m a woman, but I know enough to get by. Just enough to know that past mechanics have tried to over charge, up sell things I don’t need, or even just failed to properly fix the problem. So I can’t overstate how grateful I am to have found a mechanic I trust. The peace of mind is priceless.

Ive been coming to Sams for my maintenance for about a year now. I had some really bad luck with mechanics being condescending, rude, and downright disgusting (as a female walking into shops solo, this is pretty typical). Im not here to talk about those places, Im here to talk about how absolutely thankful I am to Sams Automotive and their team. Ive never once felt, as a woman, uncomfortable or taken advantage of. Dimitri is always SUPER kind and honest. They are efficient, cost effective, and overall trustworthy. In fact, theyve gained my trust so much that while I was looking for my now new car, I told ever dealership I needed to take the cars into my mechanic before I could buy. They always gave me honest feedback on what expenses may be coming up for me. I used to live on the North Side and this is the only place I trust to take my car. Dimitri is an honest car mechanic and is very professional. His father used to own the shop and now he runs it. A good family business. He has always worked with my schedule, taken time to explain the mechanics with me, and is affordable. I have been to many places trying to take advantage of a young gal who over price and upsell. Dimitri is the best! I used to go there more often when I had a Ford Focus that gave me trouble. I have a brand new Ford Escape now and luckily haven’t needed any work done as of late but as soon as I do- I will go to Sam’s!

Other places tried to up-sell me and tell me that they can only replace the compressor if I also replace the whole a/c kit. Called Sams and they straight up told me that other places will try to do that and that its usually not necessary. Saved me lots of money and work was done quickly. Sams is the best. Ive gone there twice for major work on my Jeep and every time theyve made having car trouble much less stressful. They do a great job of explaining whats wrong as well as what options there are and are always quick to get my car back on the road. Their pricing always seems really reasonable too. Ive moved across town now but have continued to go back to Sams.

Literally the best. Took my Xterra here to get it checked out for a couple error codes, and they gave me a couple options for fixing. Completely honest and great customer service - I’ve told at least ten people about my experience so far and can’t recommend them enough. Will definitely come back in the future for any repairs.

I live in NW Denver and have for most of my 45 years on this planet as the house I own today was willed to me by my wonderful grandparents after they passed, an original fixture of the area with all of my other neighbors I truly miss. I remember this place was a Phillips 66 in the 80s and a Conoco in the 90s with working gas pumps. I actually have a picture of this place as a Conoco with the gas prices on the sign. =) My grandpa used to take his Olsmobile Omega (and later Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme) for its oil changes here because it was easy to walk down Clay to take/pick up the car. I believe the name was Sams even back then. Ive taken my other vehicles in the past but I have no idea if it the same owner.As for my 1994 T/A I have taken it here two times. Once for a steering column replacement and this most recent time, for an ignition control module. The car left me stranded on I25 and Speer after the engine shut-off while driving and would not start again. I had it towed to Sams. I had feared it was going to be the distributor as these cars are notorious for that problem and that would have been a few thousand dollars. Dimitri had us bring the car in and the next day he called to tell me the problem was not the distributor (as he said, thank God) but only an ignition control module. He told me the car will be ready the following morning at 9am and that he will call to let me know. Sure enough at 9:03 he called to tell me the car was ready. The work was a lot cheaper than expected as everything seems to be more-expensive-than-normal with my car.Its been a week since the service and after the computer reset itself and all sensors re-calibrated the car is running 100% again with all power. The guys at Sams do great work and quickly too. Also not price gougingly expensive. Ill come here anytime I have problem with my 27 yr old bird as he knows my car, they do good work and it is close to home. Im happy.

Amazingly Friendly Customer Service, Speedy Service, and FAIR PRICE!!! They are consistently honest, friendly, and fair Im definitely going back and recommending family and friends.I went the 1st time with problem with my battery. The prior shop told me its the alternator they cant fix so I went to Sams. Turned out it was not the alternator, just the battery. This could had cost me hundr3ds dollars more than it did.Second time it was oil change and break light. They changed the oil, bulb, (plus taping my broken rear light for no charge) in 30 minutes and $50 fees.Both times I asked about my broken rear light from hail damage, both times they recommend waiting a little longer so the price drop. Im blown away as I have no knowledge about car parts price and never met any mechanics not willing to charge the I customers unnecessary cost.Highly highly recommend. Just call and schedule a visit. 😊

I discovered this gem of a place when I was living in the highlands, and I still travel across Denver to go here for all of my car maintenance needs. They have earned my business as long as I live in Denver- heck maybe Id even travel out of state to come here! :) You will not find a more honest and efficient repair shop. I have been coming here for years and every experience has been wonderful. Dimitri does an excellent job with timely communication regarding car updates, he is HONEST and very professional. This shop has earned my trust as a customer who has been burned and price gouged from other shops in the past. Let me assure you, this will not happen here. Gotta say, Im used to living with or near enough to my dad where he can take care of all the repairs and maintenance of my vehicle, so I was nervous about having a stranger take care of my car--but I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received from Sams Automotive. They were quick, professional, friendly, and very communicative throughout the whole process. They made the right diagnosis, did the right work, and asked for a fair price to fix my vehicle (issue was related to brakes/rotor/caliber). Finger crossed I wont HAVE to take my car back, but if I do, I will be coming back to Sams again.

Awesome experience. I needed new rotors on a 20 year old car. After describing how my wheel shook when breaking on I-25, the front guy took one look at my car and diagnosed the problem. He was able to give me a cost estimate right then and there. Overall, I ended up paying $314 for new pads and rotors.Honest staff and fair prices! I cannot recommend them enough.

I work down the street and my boss noticed that my tire was flat, had a nail in it. I drove it down hoping to get a quick patch. The guys here were SO friendly and helpful, they didnt mind getting it patched quickly even though they seemed busy (and despite me telling them the wrong tire 🤦‍♀️). This might not be a huge issue but Im just thankful for their kindness and speediness! Will definitely keep them in mind for future repairs. Thanks guys!!!!

I called the morning of to get my center brake light changed. I was told to ‘come anytime’ and that they had the part. I stopped by midday expecting to wait. I was instantly greeted and the car checked out. Turns out the part was slightly off from what was in the car and they would have to order it, which would take ‘5-10 min.’ It came, he swapped it, had me step on the brakes to check it, I paid him $10, and I was out of there after 15-20 minutes - it was awesome! Service was quick, courteous, and affordable! Will continue to come back for future repairs!

I cannot rave about this shop more!! Often times, I feel taken advantage of by mechanics but not sams auto! I needed a lot done to my car and Demitri laid it all out for me and told me I did not need to do it all at once unlike the dealership. This helped tremendously for personal budgeting standpoint. Also, I had an appointment for later in the week and my brakes were grinding and he squeezed me in 3 days earlier. He is so honest and professional!

Its rare that you find a place that you feel like is giving you an honest take on what your car actually needs. Sams Automotive Repair fits that rare mold, though, and they have won a customer for a long time in me because of it.I first visited this place a few months back to get an oil change for my car. I typically hate going to the dealerships because they are usually significantly over-priced and its hard to go in without them some how selling you on the idea your car needs something else significant taken care of. I had a good experience with the oil change: it was a fair price and was completed in a timely fashion.I ended up taking my car back by this morning after I noticed that the brakes were squeaking a bit this weekend. I dropped off my car to get it looked at and started the short walk home (I live about 5 minutes away). Before I was even home, they were calling with an update. They let me know that the brake pads and everything looked fine; the reason for the noise was rust on my front brakes. Then -- get this -- they told me that they didnt really think I needed to get it taken care of at this point in time and that they thought the brakes should be fine for another 10-15K miles. He let me know it was completely a personal preference as to when I wanted to get it taken care of, and he let me know what the price would be when I decide to get it done. I decided to hold off on getting the issue fixed right away.When I went to go pick up my car, I expected some sort of fee (diagnostic or otherwise). There wasnt one. I repeat: there wasnt one. Sensing the look on my face, the guy there simply said Well, we didnt end up actually doing anything. Happy holidays.Awesome place with awesome customer service. I will definitely come back here -- and I hope for a long time.

My car was making a clunking noise on sharp turns so I went to Sams to get it checked out. A couple minutes after I brought over my car the staff put it on the lift and saw that I had two bad ball joints on my front suspension. I had them order the replacement parts and my car was fixed by the next day. All in all I am very happy with the service. The price was reasonable and the turn around time was quick. Great local shop.

I had been at Sams a few years ago, and had a great experience, but recently went to another body shop because of a referral. This recent experience at another body shop gave me confirmation that Sams is the superior body shop. Sams communicated progress on the vehicle and shared information from the claims adjuster; the other body shop did not. Sams cleaned the vehicle after it was fixed; the other shop did not. It is also convenient that there is an Enterprise car rental at the same location. Hopefully I will not need another body shop, but if I do, I will be going to Sams.

I usually dont write reviews but I have been coming here for the past 4 years and am extremely pleased at the level of service I get every time. They never try to sell me anything I do not need an have everything fixed and ready to go extremely quickly and always the best price (even when I shopped around). 5 stars all the way.

After taking my car to a different shop to get my brakes done, I called Sams Automotive for a second opinion. They quoted me $450 cheaper than the other place so I took it over to them and they delivered! Service was great too, I was impressed to say the least.

Honest, ethical and great technicians. I was quoted a Max price for a transmission rebuild and suggested to replace the clutch since the transmission was out and would save on cost down the road. I agreed. Final price came in significantly cheaper then the max. Proves they honor the true time spent when they could clearly say they spent longer. Take your cars here!

Highly recommended: these guys are quick, HONEST, and reliable. Ive brought my Subaru and Saab in here for anything from an oil change to a new timing belt, to a tune up and they are always the most affordable shop with good quality work. Ive never been disappointed. A good working mans/go-to mechanic.

Be careful, they don’t warn you about the diagnostic fee until after you’re ready to pickup the car. Woulda been nice to be given a heads up. And no, not all shops have a fee like this, but thanks for letting me know.

Dont patronize this place.They had AAA tow driver put my car in the street in a no parking zone, then argued with me and refused to take care of my $50 parking ticket.Save yourself the trouble.

I came back numerous times in one week to fix numerous problems after I had gone to a few other mechanics that failed to diagnose what was wrong with my truck. These folks have a far superior understanding of auto tech than what I have seen at the other shops Ive been too. All the problems and worries have since been dealt with at a very fair price. These guys were great. Went in for some routine maintenance (oil change) and knew it was gonna be a while because they were swamped. Guy at the desk (should have gotten his name) was extremely helpful. He recommended some place nearby that I could grab a bite to eat at while I waited. The place is a hole in the wall with not much waiting room space but they do have wifi. So I brought along my laptop and watched Netflix while I waited. Friendly service, and my bill was less than the original quote. Affordable care definitely lives up to its name!

They dont make repair shops like Sams anymore. Honesty, friendliness and fair prices in the heart of Denver. Its been a rough month for my truck and after two visits I am both blown away by the service and confident I would go nowhere else. I never felt pressured or patronized. Issues were patiently explained, broken parts are always shown to me, and the bill was very reasonable for the service provided. I dont have a good vehicle, I dont want to fix everything, I just want to keep it working for as long as possible without breaking the bank, and these are the guys to do it. Highly recommended.

They are great! I have taken my car in twice once was to fix my door hinge and they did it the same day. I also took it in because my tire was making a weird noise. I took the tire off and saw nothing wrong then took it into them. Ended up being a rock stuck in the tire, they took it out free of charge.

Honest. I came thinking I needed to change my brakes, but they told me their fine, how many places would do that for you. Realize they are Russian, so dont be put off if they yell or seem rude, its their way. Highly recommended.

Ive replaced a head gasket and rebuilt an engine before, so I have a higher than average knowledge of automotive repair. Therefore, I know when a mechanic is not being truthful, or if they are trying to squeeze money out of customers. That being said, I have used Sams Auto for about 4 years when I dont have the time or desire to work on something. Vitally (sp?) is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. I have referred three of my friends to him, and every one of them raved about his work and price. If you are looking for an honest mechanic that wont oversell or overcharge, this is the ONLY mechanic I would recommend.

I will never take my vehicle back to this place. Ive been here before and have never had an issue but the last time I was there I was mistreated and even cursed at. I was told to go F myself by Vitalis son because I was trying to hold them accountable for something they needed to fix or at least investigate. They had my vehicle for almost 3 months and couldnt fix the wiring that squirrels chewed and never once said they could not repair it. There is much more to this story but these guys arent as nice as they appear especially if you are trying to have them look at something they fixed already!

They charged us $150 to replace a part that did not need to be replaced and did not fix the problem we were having. They called us and said it was fixed without properly testing it to make sure it was. Car broke down again within 10 blocks due to the same problem they had supposedly fixed. Maybe they are good with Domestic and European cars- but dont bring a Korean car here.

Very quick, honest, great customer service, and they do the job very well. I was late to an appointment, but Demitry kindly said hed squeeze me into the schedule. I highly recommend Sams Automotive Repair.UPDATE: My Honda Civic 2006 and I still go here and will continue to do so! Prices are more than fair and theyre so honest. I cannot stretch this enough. (i.e. Honda dealership said there were multiple things that needed to be replaced/fixed and I should pay them to do it, then and there. Demitry gave it a second look. He said only two of them were critical and should be fixed within a year. Everything else was more or less trivial/cosmetic)

I feel bad if there is anyone at this shop that actually might make the experience worth while. I will never even go to this place and never have been to this place for the individual who answered the phone was extremely rude. All I did was ask just two simple questions and only received attitude and disrespect. There are a billion and one places to take a car into. I dont understand why this place isnt more competitive and offers some decent customer service. I was really surprised since there were so many good reviews. Maybe other people got lucky? Maybe this guy was just having a really crappy morning, or had a bad last night. All I know is that because of his disrespect I will never bring my car to Sams Automotive Repair and will tell everyone I know to go further down the street.
