Yes, the airline is horrible but worse, they employ truly garbage employees. 999/1000 times when there’s a disagreement between customer and employee, it’s company policy that is the issue. Ms Anderson who works at the gate kiosk went above and beyond to inject her opinion to a private conversation. I was at the gate in the minute, still 15 minutes before the flight, the doors were closing and we were not allowed on. Instead of empathy, we were interrupted twice in private conversation expressing our frustration. I don’t need any special treatment, but adding negativity into a frustrating situation shows garbage character. The money you save isn’t money you actually save. Never Spirit, never again.
Flights were on time first time on a commercial plane smooth take offs and landings. We didnt crash, got drunk on the plane like that country song. Also fairly easy to check in and all that good stuff. They have spirit people around to help you out and answer your questions seats are uncomfortable theyre like small bus seats idk if thats common with all airlines but spend the extra cash get the seats up front I believe the first 3 rows or so are bigger and roomier I wasnt aware at the time
Cancelled our flight weeks ago with no notification. Went to check in to find out we no longer had a flight. Got passed around customer service for a few hours with 0 results. Thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt, but I have now joined the customers that will not fly with them again. Do better Spirit.
This airline would get a negative 10 if I had the option. DO NOT BOOK WITH SPIRIT AIRLINES. HORRIBLE Customer Service. They will have you on hold for hours trying to speak to a representative. Credits? What credits! They will promise credits and never send an email confirming them. I am not surprised they have an overall review of 1.7... It should be lower. This airline is the biggest scam in airline history. They will nickel and dime you for everything. $50 dollars for a carry on. My flight was 138 and I paid $118 for carry on round trip. Totally not worth it. Pay the extra for a different airline because Spirit isnt worth the headache.
Ive only flown with Spirit and Frontier. Because yes usually they are the cheapest. So i guess i really dont know if its nice, nice or not. Ive never had a problem. The airport in Denver tho is sooo confusing espically for my family that comes in. They should have better signs or maps.
Worst experience ever at the check in. First the flight was delayed and then didnt hace anyway to help us out, then after complaining for a while they said the flight was cancel and we werent able to flight, had to cancel hotel. Cars, we had to cancel pretty much a whole week of traveling because of a simple delay. You ask for help and they are laughing and not even looking at u at the face. All the said is that they could do anything. If I could give them -50 stars I would.
You get what you pay for people. I am perfectly happy with the flight that I got from Chicago to Denver airport with Spirit Airlines. I knew that I was going on a discount Airline, I prepared ahead and made sure that my backpack was small enough to fit in their required size restrictions. I Agree with other reviewers that some of the staff people were unprepared and it seemed like the staff in some locations were not exactly sure what was going on, but as I said from the beginning we get what we paid for.
Worst customer service I have ever received. One of our gate checked bags, car seats for my children, was left in Ft Lauderdale. We received a call from Paul Hardin that it was in their possession and we had 5 days to get back to him. This is day 7 and we have called and left numerous messages at his number. We have tried calling the airlines directly and still nothing. All we want is our car seats back. I am currently waiting for a customer service rep on the phone and it always go to a voicemail with no return calls for the past week! We will never fly with them again.
Where do I begin? I booked with Spirit Airlines for the first time on a trip to Colombia. I fly frequently but this was the first time with Spirit and I did not know how horrible they were. A few weeks after booking, they EMAILED me to notify me that they had added a TEN HOUR layover to the flight. A layover through the night in the FLL airport. They did nothing to apologize about this change or work with me to compensate me for this major inconvenience. Finding a way to call Spirit about this was almost impossible as their wait time for calls surpassed three hours. I tried their text line to address the issue and the wait time with that is just as bad. They do not care to assist their customers whatsoever. When they did reply to my inquiry I was told that “Changes happen” and that there was nothing they were willing to do besides refund the flight.During the return flight, our bag was not put on our plane back to Denver. They did not connect our bag or even notify us that this was the case. Contacting them to find out where our bag was, was anything but smooth. Another three hour wait to get a text message referring us to a website. No real human help with an issue THEY caused. Then, we were told that our bag was on a flight to Denver that would arrive at 9:25 Denver time. It arrived at 11:25 Denver time, a two hour wait due to the incompetence of Spirit yet again.Their customer service is nonexistent. I will not be flying with them again and will continue to STRONGLY recommend that anyone wanting a smooth flight process not do the same.
The Denver general manager was rude . Tried to say I booked two different flights with different conformation #s. But they only gave me one . So it means yall messed up I didnt get two #s yall did that with out telling me and trying to charge me for it now . !! So they got 2 #s Not me but they still charged me twice for my bags after I already paid for it . And it was supposed to transfer with me . And instead of him trying to help me at all he said call customer service . So what is his job as a manager then ? If not to help the customer figure out why its Two different #s and why Im being charged twice . I will never use spirit again .

Checked my bag was in tsa forever and missed my flight due to the fact they never updated the new boarding time. I was then told to let spirit employees know about the situation which I did at the airport. They told me they could push my flight to Sunday which wouldnt help because I needed needed to leave that same day. I ended up having to buy a ticket with american airlines. Spirit gave me a number I called explained the situation and 1 employee told me he could give me flight credit for a future flight OR he could transfer me to his manager and that hed be able to help me more. I ended up waiting for 2 hours on the phone just to reach the manager for him to tell me all he can do is give me $30 credit which he couldnt help me more than his employee. And to top it off he never even emailed me it. Ill just say Spirit is trash its a small airline that gives you the run around.
The CEO was on our flight out of Ft Lauderdale. Saying he’s going to walk up and down the isle to chat. Zero percent impressed on my first flight on Spirit Airlines. If you crash those metal trays are going right throw you. The seats are extremely cheap. Four hour long flight without outlets, TVs, or normal seats or tray tables.Now, I know why I should fly the other airlines.
My experience with Spirit has not been great but never this poor. On the way to my destination, they kept us on the plane for 30 minutes. On my way home, the plane showed up late and on top of that, an agent charged other passengers and myself $65 for a small purse. Additionally, there was no social distance whatsoever.This will be my last time flying with them. I really hope Spirit focuses on providing better customer service to its customers.

Just don’t book with Spirit Airlines. It will save you time and money. I called their call center more then 10 times ! They would always hang up . Tried texting them too but that was even worst. One of their employees asked me for my card Info to try and give me a “refund”, 3 weeks later my card was being use to make purchases online to order food.It’s just a hassle to deal with them . They were the ones that cancelled the flight and they made it as hard as possible for me to get my money back . I’ve learned my lesson . I would’ve given them zero stars but that wasn’t an option. AVOID SPIRIT AIRLINES!!!
Flight was delayed over an hour, tried checking on thier app while at union station over an hour before flight .. wouldnt work. Tried calling they wont check in over the phone. Went to the ticket counter 51 minutes before flight. They said I wouldnt make it. At 12:30am there was nobody in line LITERALLY. After arguing for a while, wouldnt let me in because I needed to check in 1 hour before. Explained the app doesnt work. They still denied me and I had to rebook (Photo shows outside ground at RTD, should have taken it earlier). Sending photo evidence to my bank to get a refund for denied access and a wasted time and money.

I got on my flight and my seat was taking the flight attendants told me to find another seat, which I did but soon as I sat down I grab my phone from my pocket because I was on it. I literally picked up my phone from my pocket and said (ok I’m on my flight I’ll call you once I land) then hung up the phone that’s when the flight attendant says to me ok your out of here. She called other attendants to to talk about kicking me off. At which point I got up and got of the plane because they are rude and disrespectful. Spirit airline is the worst airline possible to fly though!

I believe this place is a hit or miss with employees. We had a rude lady at first and thank God some other lady stepped in and helped us out. It made that much of a difference and I left with a good impression. I wish I wouldve asked her name, but she was light brown skin, skinny, short hair, average sized. This was around 4:30am. Point is, I really appreciated her help because at the end another rude lady that rushed us out.

My profile: 3-6 intercontinental flights per year, 6-12 domestic flights with various airlinesSpirit just lost a customer. They are the worst airline ever, not even because of the paid in-flight service extras which I dont mind at all for a lower ticket fare on short haul flights. In general DFW is so efficient e.g. with American or United. I just love this airport. But it just does not work with Spirit and their airport employees. They had only 1 baggage counter working. Their computer system broke down on multiple other counters. For a line with about 30 people there was a 40 minutes wait. My boarding pass did not work because they printed the bar code right over the rip off part after they fixed their printer. Had to run back from TSAPre to the counter to get a new one which took another 12 minutes at the counter and another 20 minutes in total. People behind me were starting to yell at the Spirit people. Also Spirit Agent Nardia charged me an additional 30$, 60$ in total for my prepaid luggage for a weight of 43.5lbs. Never in my life before did I have to deal with a luggage limit of less than 20KG. I flew American and United in March and April between ORD and DFW. I wanted to give Spirit another chance. Flew them two times between LGA and ORD. Always something. Never on time either. Last. Time. With. Spirit. Especially with AA, United and SW from MDW with competitive or even better prices if you factor in all cost now. Bye Spirit.

WORST Experiences! NEVER AGAIN. Spirit check in at airports only have a max of (2) two agents. Drop off bag lines are disrespectfully insane long. It doesnt matter if you did checked in a day before, come 2 hours ahead, one bag, and are about to lose your flight because their computing system bounces you to seek an agent. They wont prioritize nor help anybody, not even with 2 babies in arms. Update after flight: My two car seats are in limbo. Plus theres many people in the same situation with children and missing belongings. They dont have an idea where my seats are. WE CANNOT LEAVE the airport because I dont have my car seats.

They neglected to assist me or put me on another flight instead told me I needed to pay $130 to be put on the next flight which is ridiculous. Extra leg room seat worth it
I know Spirit gets flack about the seating and whatever else people are dissatisfied by Spirit. I have had no problems with them, cheap flights and can do everything online. Ive spoken with the airline customer service and they were knowledgeable and helpful. I needed to change seats and no problem at no charge.
The employees who work for Spirit Airlines are hateful and rude. Seriously, any airline is better. Walking is better.
ZERO STARS. Worst experience - held hostage by Spirit on 3/1. 1st story was weather was bad flight was delayed 2 hours, plane made it to us in Orlando and we boarded 3 hours late. Sat on the plane 10 minutes and now was told we had to get off cuz of mechanical issues. Was determined that plane couldnt fly and we had to wait for another plane. Now will take off at 1:00am- then told 2:00am - finally left at 2:40 am to Denver. Immediately we were told the flight would be rough so there will be no service - smoothest flight I had ever been on. Couldnt you at least give us a drink of water? Racked up 60.00 in additional parking fees in Denver and meals. Poor kids on that plane and a high school group. There has to be a law made that protects us after we purchase our tickets - if airlines doesnt deliver within 2 hours they put us in hotel or another airline. WILL NOT EVER fly Spirit EVER!
Fly at own risk. When I checked in and got my boarding pass, I was informed that the flight was running 50 minutes late. The board in the airport stated that the flight was delayed. My boarding pass still had a timer appropriate for the original departure.Upon arriving at the gate at the boarding time marked on my ticket. The flight was still reported as on time but there was no plane and no boarding and the information board showed the flight as still on time up until the actual departure time. At the time the plane should have been departing the board at the gate was updated to show a 50 minute delay.I have never had a spirit flight depart on time. I never expect that one will.If I ever fly spirit on time, I will personally buy the flight crew a steak dinner.

Worst airline ever! Crews and agents are not knowledgeable on proper handling of flight delays up to lost baggage. Cannot understand the frustration of the customer and can’t empathize on the current situation. Up until now i am struggling to get information on where my baggage is for a supposedly quick weekend getaway.
Has a poor reputation but is actually a good value. Temper your expectations and avoid short layovers because flights tend to run late. Expect your flight to be delayed at least 30 minutes.Highly recommend paying the extra money to get the larger seats in the front if your flight is more than 2 hrs, and try to avoid the middle seats because the planes are quite crammed.If youre flying on a budget spirit can be a great deal, but dont expect the same service as an Arline thats twice the price
They issued us a refund that they didnt have to during a winter storm issue. Wed booked a separate non refundable flight before their official advisory was in place, and then when it went into place they issued a refund for our new flight and transferred our original flight to that night. So we appreciated that.
If I could give less, I would. Walked up to check a bag after waiting in line, informed that they had to charge 20 dollars in addition to the 50 dollar fee for an agent to go through the process of checking the bag and printing a boarding pass. I was advised to go to a self check in kiosk to avoid the 20 dollar fee. Waited in line at the kiosk, followed the steps, the kiosk prints a ticket saying that it cant process the transaction and tells me to go back to an agent...so I had to get back in the line to check the bag and finally get my boarding pass. This airline is a joke.
Complete and total zero stars for this airline. The worst staff I have ever met. I was coming back to Denver from Chicago. When we got to the ticket counter the lady was conversing with another co-worker. She waved a yellow round sign without even looking at us. As we stood in front of her she continued her conversation. No hello. No how are you. She looked at us just long enough to ask for our license and boarding pass and then continued her conversation with her co-worker. Outstanding customer service so far. Next, to add insult to injury the flight was delayed by almost two hours. when they where boarding my had to use the restroom suddenly. I went to stand by the gate and the lady starts yelling. You need to get on board! I said my wife will be here in 1 minute. The lady raises her voice even more and says I DONT CARE. GET ON BOARD OR WE WILL CLOSE THE DOOR!! Not only was that extremely embarrassing but my wife should up 20 seconds later and that door didnt close for another 5 minutes at least. The audacity and unprofessionalism of Spirit Airlines is appalling. They where almost two hours late and they couldnt wait 20 seconds? They couldnt be professional and empathetic in explaining that the flight need to depart?Forget saving the extra $20 or $30 by flying with these people. Save yourself the headache and embarrassment by NOT FLYING Spirit. One star is five too many for this airline, if you can call it that.
Would seriously give 0 stars if I could. Chaotic, unprofessional, and absolutely can’t be depended on. Our flight (1852) was delayed for a total of 4 hours (started out as an hour and a half, then kept getting pushed back once the current boarding time was surpassed). Finally got to board, then sat at the gate an additional hour waiting on “paperwork”. In addition, when asked for a departure estimate by a fellow passenger, an older flight attendant went on a mini rant about how “she’s not being paid right now, so imagine how she feels”. No real answer was given to that passenger, just a guilt trip. I personally will never fly this airline again. Spend a bit more for a better and more reliable airline, or if you can only do a budget airline, go with Frontier.
I was just at the ticket counter in Denver and overheard three spirit airlines employees talking loudly about how they like to screw over passengers and pick fights with them. They even discussed their favorite fights. I tried to complain and the supervisor I spoke with would not allow me to file a complaint, instead saying “write a letter to corporate, I can’t do anything “. Terrible airline.
I have heard bad things about spirit and I see that they get an incredibly low rating here on google reviews. I have friends and family that have said bad things about them. I was not expecting much when I ended up booking them for a one way flight. HOWEVER, I had a bad accident and broke my ribs and couldnt take my flight. Spirit airlines was very nice, the customer service agent was very kind and thoughtful. The process for doing a FULL REFUND (I was honestly just expecting a travel credit) was incredibly easy and quick. Meanwhile, United Airlines was a completely opposite experience. As I mentioned, I booked Spirit for one way, and United was the other airline I booked to make my round trip. United Airlines customer service literally just told me to forget it, I booked an economy fair so their would be no travel credit nor refund. The inhuman customer service woman at United literally never said anything nice at all, just rudeness and acted like I was bothering her and that I had no chance at a travel credit nor refund despite having documentation about my injuries from my doctor and hospital. Needless to say, I will look for flights with Spirit Airlines LONG before I will EVER travel with United Airlines again. Thank you Spirit for restoring my faith in airlines being at least reasonable and humane.

Flight was late leaving because a steward was late to their shift. Then when we landed 45 minutes late a plane with Maintenance issues was at our dock and we had to sit on the runway for 45-50minutes. People missed their connecting flights as a result. I understand things happen but the flight didn’t even offer people water as they waited on the runway. A lot of things could have been managed differently, as a result I will never use Spirit airlines again.
Tried to steal our money on a changed flight when we cancelled - my father-in-law is 82 years old. WORST airline in the country- had to dispute all charges with our credit card company. STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES IF THE SKY!
The cheap flights its claiming is not worth all the hassle that you will experience with this airline. Its incompetent staff, crew and services are so infuriating. I wont ever ever use this airline again. Wish I can rate it with 0 star.
This is the absolute worst airline to ever claim to be an airline. They literally left 30 minutes early with no intercom announcement. Dont fly with these guys unless you just want to lose some money. I truly can not say enough bad things about this airline.
Only giving one star because I can’t leave a review with less. Absolutely the worst airport experience I have ever had. After incremental delays on a 11:22pm flight, it was finally set for an extended delay at 3:15am and scheduled to leave at 11:40am. After 5 hours of talking to the ticketing agents and picking up our checked luggage, we inevitably missed our connecting flight. The next best scheduling they could do was to put us on the extended delay flight and try to book us with other airlines to make up for our missed connections. However, the staff knew nothing of scheduling and sent us off to other airlines without actually purchasing new tickets. We finally settled on a flight schedule with real tickets, and things were looking up. After traversing through security again and arriving at the gate, we learned the extended delay was further delayed with little explanations as to why. This airline is terrible at scheduling and continues to try and run planes without a definite plan to get them up to code before departure. I will never fly spirit again, and I strongly advise you to pay the extra money for a real airline with actual flights and planes that work. An extra couple hundred dollars is not worth 18 hours in airport limbo.
After my most recent experience, I will no longer be flying Spirit budget Airlines... Not worth the savings.Flight was boarded late, remained on the ground for 1.5 hours... Everyone was asked to leave the plane to fix a repair the pilot stated would take 15 to 30 minutes to complete. Remained InThe terminal for hours as they kept moving the delayed departure back in 30 minute increments... 4 hours in and no end in sight. The lack of transparency and communication is extremely frustrating. Time is extremely valuable. Not worth the savings.
We have flown multiple times now and never had a problem. Great people, great airline. People expect too much, get me from point A to B for a fair price (which they do) and if I want more I EXPECT to pay for it. Great job Spirit!

They sent me an email delayed my flight an hour. So I decide to use one of the airport desks to do some computer work (which requires headphones). Then 30 minutes before the new takeoff time, I arrive at the help desk only to be told they had finished boarding, and that I should have been listening. They NEVER Sent me another email update. This was at 9 am, and they said they didnt have any flights until tomorrow. I just had to buy a 300 ticket on another airline to keep from losing my job. I will NEVER fly spirit again.
Spirit airline intentionally caused my family and I to miss our flight by forcing us to use the obviously non functional kiosks. Spend a few more bucks and fly with another airline. Had it not been for the very nice lady at the ticket desk our entire Disneyworld trip would be ruined. Its going to be a fun day of changing reservations and paying fees as a result. Thanks a lot Spirit Airlines for being tied with Frontier as the worst possible choice in flying. One star is too much credit.Spirit is a zero star airline.

Star review 0 I bought tickets Denver-Atlanta, Atlanta-Denver round-trip on September 23 and 25. On personal matters, I had to stay and I missed a Denver Atlanta flight. and bought the tickets but a late flight. And when I came back I wanted to print tickets and then they tell me your tickets were canceled, if they missed one flight, all tickets are automatically canceled and I had to buy other tickets. I do not advise you this airline is the most terrible airline ticket overpay and fly without problems. During my life I only used this airline twice and had very bad memories.

Flew from Orlando to Houston just to get to Denver. Flight from Orlando was terrible. The crew had no clue what they were doing. We were almost 1 hour late. Then in Houston the crew split up a family because they inner sold the flight. Do not use these idiots. Use Southwest. They dont charge you for bags over 40 pounds!
The flight was cheap, but when you check in, you have to pay extra for your seat. Carry-on luggage is extra. I could only pack 2 days worth of clothes for my 6 day trip because I was frantically removing everything from the suitcase in a failed attempt to keep it under weight. So the $60 checked in luggage became $90. Make sure to show up early because the flight leaves 30 minutes before the time it says online. Want a comfortable seat? They dont have those. Want a soda or snack, thats extra. All in all it was way more expensive for a miserable flight. Its a wonder that they have repeat customers if any. It did however get us to our destination.
Every flight i take is 2 hours late to depart. I guess they buy the cheapest slots. So for that 1 star. however the crew and pilots are superb, so i added three more stars. in my opinion, its the smoothest ride. as for the ticket pricing. not great, thats a child-like scam of stripping down the benefits in order to advertise low ball prices.

Canceled my flight and said they couldnt rebook me for 3 entire days (so much time and money wasted). Then the new flight was delayed. Worst flight experience to date. Never flying with them again.
Spirit Airlines is the worst airline company in the United States. I will never fly Spirit again no matter how cheap a ticket is. The saying, you get what you pay for couldnt be more accurate with them. I was flying from Denver, CO to Minneapolis, MN. My flight out was delayed due to mechanical issues. I arrived 4 hrs. later than I was expected. Therefore costing me money for a cab. Wasnt too worried about this. I was to fly back out on Sunday (5/31) and return around 4:30 PM. I checked in the morning and Spirit informed me that there were mechanical issues with my particular airplane. I checked later on and the flight was delayed 2 hrs. All of a sudden, I was sitting at the airport and they had cancelled my flight due to weather. I honestly believe its a bunch of BS so Spirit could screw passengers out of paying for flights home. So, instead of flying out and returning home Sunday night around 4 PM, they offered to get me home Tuesday late afternoon. Spirit, have you ever heard of a job??? You know, one where you have to be at work at 6 AM Monday?!? Spirit offered to refund me my ticket (which I purchased with rewards points, so thats not gonna do me any good). So there I was, I had to purchase a last minute ticket from Frontier for $350 including luggage to get me home Monday morning, late for work. Ive tried contacting customer service multiple times with no response. They obviously do not care about their customers. I had no options but to purchase a ridiculous flight home, or take 2 vacation days. I am not only out the money that my return flight cost, but Im also out $350. Spirit, how about you make this right and pay for my return flight home??? I think that would be fair.
So, this is a great, low cost airline. I had a unique experience in late May traveling late from Denver to Dallas and having an amazing time. I had my drinks, watched my anime on my iPad. I didn’t think anyone else would notice; at the end of the flight I think her name was Kimberly and I talked (way too briefly) about what I thought was a pretty obnoxious topic...but, if you read this, check out Rising of the Shield Hero. ❤️
Delayed our flight 2x and closed boarding before they were supposed to- had called our names 2 minutes before we walked up- should’ve had 10 more minutes- thanks a lot nutsacks 😒
If I could rate them any lower, I would! I thought when many people tried to detour me from using them, I was going to give them a chance because everyone deserves that. Nope! Delayed 9 hours, no connection, and no help with staying in an unknown city. Stay classy Spirit
I really have to admit that this airline has been great for several experiences. The only honest complaint is the seating is not very comfortable. My family has always been treated so courteously by the staff. They are doing a good service by providing quality affordable flights.
Good price but horrible comfort. Every time I use it seems more and more uncomfortable. Next thing you know people are going on foot like a bus
We got to the airport at 9:30 pm we were suppose to board at 11:45. At 11:00 they told us the flight was delayed until 1:01 am. Ten minutes before 1:01 and the flight was delayed again for 3:45. Then 30 minutes later they delayed us again for 2:45 so we were happy. As soon as the plane landed and al the passengers were walking out. Everyone was ready to get in the plane. They canceled the flight. Due to the “CREW” having to many hours. So they sent everyone home and said they will be leaving tomorrow at 4:00 pm the next day . What kind of Airlines takes you’re money. Then canceled the flight because they don’t have enough employees to legally fly a plane??? If you guys knew about the delay why didn’t you guys sed someone. I never fly but trust me I will NEVER EVER BUY TICKETS FOR SPIRIT AIRLINES EVER AGAIN !! Spend the money else where guys. It’s 4:04 am and I haven’t slept. And no one knows the exact time of the departure. I’m going crazy.....
My husband and I are headed to Vegas from Denver airport. My mother-in-law is meeting us there, from Atlanta. Her flight was supposed to leave at 5:40 and its been delayed until 10:50 😥. We were supposed to board at 6:15, its now almost 7 and were still sitting here. This is THEE WORSE airline Ive ever seen in my entire 44 years of life!!! Who created them?? These folks who posted 5 stars are lying!!! They say you get what you pay for and they are proving that statement to be true!!!
If I could leave a zero star I would !! The most horrible airline extremely unprofessional I would be embarrassed to work for this company. It’s totally worth your money to book with any other airline even if it costs you an extra 200 dollars !

Boarded 40 min late... didnt even finally tell us we were delayed until we were aboard. Then said 20 min for take off... then 40... then an hour. Then they offered to sell us beverages. Maybe dont board ppl onto an aircraft with practically no ac when you know youre going to be delayed and then offer the courtesy of price gouging. Ive flown all airlines and this is literally the worst one. The cheaper cost isnt worth it at all.Update: got my bag and they had unzipped and unclipped multiple parts of my pack. Unsure if anything missing yet. Absolutely ridiculous
I was tricked again into flying Spirit Air. Man, how ridiculous it is to believe they would operate with any integrity, not to mention the customer service or lack there of. History has repeatedly proven itself here. Just imagine my frustration... Im traveling all day with a 6 and a 7 year old. 5 hours at DIA receiving constant text updates about gate changes and time delay after time delay. I would think twice about Spirit Air!
Fly spirit where they loose your bag and then ship it vie fed ex instead of hand delivering their mistake like united or one of the other big airlines.Fly spirit less money WAY less service.
5 minutes cost me $300 with this airline, never ever would I book a flight with them again. Personnel is rude and they will do their best to find a way to charge you more for your flight or make it as hard as possible to try to catch your flight. The most expensive airline after all the fees and bad service!
Completely garbage customer service plus timing scheduling. They changed the flight 3 times and the gates to where we physically could not make it because of the time frame. And we were only 30 minutes away....the stories ive read about people missing flights and what not I figured it was all bull but until now I see what they meant. These airline companies will change times on you any second and they wont even tell you as soon as possible. Avoid spirit by all costs if you want to be headache free.
They charge my more for the baggage then the flight. Made us come back the next day complete inconvenience. Promise that it was going to be $75 for the bags. Then charge$205.00 for the baggage. And waiting for 45 minutes the first night for. Nothing to come back the next day from Colorado Springs. They have no consideration. We have 2 infants crying cause they can do they job right and make you wait for ever. Never in my life will I fly with Spirit airlines again. Im going to recommend everybody to not fly with them also
I fly between Denver and Maryland every 2-3 months. Normally I fly Frontier because they are always on time and are super affordable. I came across a good deal for Spirit though and thought I would try a new airline. HUGE mistake.I logged on the day before I left on my trip to buy a bag to discover that my direct flight had been changed to include a layover...both there and back...in Fort Lauderdale! On the way there it added 5 hours to my trip, on the way back 8 hours.A few days before my flight there had been snow in Denver, so I could understand adding a leg in order to juggle getting all delayed flights back up. However, my flights were several days after the storm and then 4 more days beyond.The website said I could cancel, which I couldn’t. I had business I had to be in town for and this was my only option to spend Christmas with my daughter.The other option given was to change flights. The cheapest of which was more than $500 round trip. I buy budget because that is what I can afford. $500 is WAY out of that range.So I decide to call and speak to someone to see if they can move the flight to a different city close by or change times to get me there more efficiently without losing a whole day with my daughter. It is impossible to get through to a person. They direct you to chat through WhatsAp. Which I did and I waited...and waited... and waited.In the meantime I tried to add bags to my flight...and after trying multiple payments the website didn’t work. So, I had to call again. Finally so frustrated I pressed buttons until it was going to link me to someone. Where I waited on hold for 40 minutes. Finally, I got through to a person who helped me add a bag. Later I look at my accounts and I have two charges for the same bag. To be fair one of them fell off after several days, but still.Now remember I sent the text to WhatsAp? 17 hours later (I kid you not) suddenly they pop up with sorry, we have been busy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? At this point I am in the midst of my trip so I ask for them to at least comp my bags for the trip to which I get “sorry, I can take your payment for a bag but you have to email in your complaint.”So, I do. Asking for the bags to be comped. Explaining about adding 13 hours to my trip and cutting my Christmas with my daughter short. Almost 36 hours I get a response that says essentially Spirit feels bad but oh well. Even better, they send a survey asking how well they handled my problem l...please tell me you are kidding!!!!Do NOT fly with them. They have NO RESPECT for their customers time or money. I would rather walk than be treated this poorly ever again.
THE WORST AIRLINE EVER. Said they hit birds on the way and it would cause an hour delay which is the amount of time I had to make it to my connecting flight. The supervisor, TRAVIS BARKER told me he could put me on a standby list that already had 4 people on it and hopefully I could make it and if not I wouldn’t be able to make it to Atlantic City until Sunday- which is my return day and the funeral I am going to is on Saturday so that wouldn’t work. He wouldn’t even see if he could put me on a different airline because I “could POSSIBLY get there in 24 hours.” Didn’t offer a comp ticket for a different time or a comp hotel room for the night- NOTHING.
