I will give two Stars as every person flying with American Airlines, always complain about their service, not great as United Airlines, the bagging or check-in they always rude not as every day but several times I have been flying with American Airlines including my whole families members they been complaining to me because I booked their ticket, when it comes to international flights they saying they only allowed one bag to check-in and one carry on, Qatar airline saying they allowed two bags, you will always hear different stories from different check-in clerk, When you show them what your ticket says they always saying that things have changed last night or few hours a go, Come on American Airlines, we love to travel we want the best service but dont make anyone regret about their flight. We Need The Best Services.

We were flying out to Grand Rapids with a layover in Chicago. The flight was delayed 5 hours and we had arrived for our original flight time of 6:19am. This would have put us at our final destination somewhere around 1am and the staff at American Airlines did what they could to accommodate us on another flight. They got us to our destination in time and with absolutely no issues. I am so grateful for what the staff did for us, thank you so much! Wonderful customer service!

Several of the employees/crew seemed less than friendly/helpful. We had a nearly six hour flight with NO food service or alcoholic beverages available, unless you were in first class. On the plus side, it was an excellent landing at Anchorage in challenging conditions.

I was supposed to fly American to get home for my wedding. The flight was delayed and then canceled which wasnt anybodys fault it was bad weather, but the staff was very unprofessional which is why Im giving a 1 star review. I asked a flight attendant if she thinks well be able to fly tonight or if she thinks the flight will be canceled and she was incredibly rude to me and never actually answered. She said something along the lines of well are houses big? Then stared at me in silence as I stared back at her confused, I said I have no idea what you mean and she said well I dont know! I couldnt have been more polite to her and she was so rude and nasty. Then later I went to the desk to ask for an update (Im freaking out at this point about making it back for my wedding) and the guy at the counter promises me that well definitely fly tonight itll just be late. Then as soon as I walked away the flight was canceled. If this is the behavior American Airlines staff treats their customers then I know I will definitely never fly with them again and Ill be sure to tell absolutely everyone I can to never fly American Airlines, they are so very unprofessional. I managed to get a flight for 6am with a different airline and so Ill be sleeping on the ground in the airport tonight.

I dont often give a five star rating, but my experience with American deserves it! I had two flights with this airline and have two more for my return flight home. The flight was exceptionally comfortable, even for coach, with plenty of leg room. The flight crew was experienced and attentive which made for a very enjoyable flying experience. I am a seasoned flyer and have had good and not so good flights, but my experience with American Airlines was great.

I had an american airlines flight from denver on my way to fly qatar airways. the check in guy on august 24 told me that my luggage wouldn’t transfer onto my destination even though the website said it would and sure enough he was capping. he also didn’t check my documents properly which led to problems in doha. it’s too bad that american airlines is part of the one world alliance.

Airline is good, but the terminal at Denver is very confusing and not a lot of good signage. Annoying that Clear station was closed on one end and we had to run all the way to South Security gate to get through Clear. Barely made our flight even though we were more than an hour early. Plan on close to two hours for domestic flight when traveling through Denver.

Dont waste your time flying with this company, they will change all your flights with no warning or regard for your trip. I will now be 5 hours late to my destination and party as they completley changed our intenerary AND they moved my husband to a different row so we are no longer sitting together. Very disappointed with this airline and will NEVER fly with them again.

I had a trip from Miami to denver.. the flight home was THE WORST experience I have ever had!! I DO NOT recommend flying with this airline! First they send a text saying my flight was cancelled… I do t even get a text with any other updates about this. Then I check in on the app and pay my bag fee… then get to the airport And the lines for American were so confusing and outrageously long!! They made me check in AGAIN on the kiosk and I had to pay ANOTHER bag fee after being told to go wait in line AGAIN at customer service!! The bag drop off line stretched all the way around the airport it felt like!! Then I get to my gate and was told our gates changed…. So had to walk all the way from the beginning of the airport ALL the way to the END of the airport for the gate change… and then come to find out our flight got delayed!!!!!!!!! I didn’t get to denver till 1:30am… the flight attendants were AMAZING!! Love them! But this airline is the worst I have ever flown with. My business will always go to United here on out. Terrible airline company for doing this to people with no explanation… and this wasn’t just with denver they made the Orlando flight wait the entire day for their flight and kept moving them to different gates!!! NEVER EVER FLY AMERICAN AIRLINES!!!!

I walked to Customer Service agent at the Airport trying to get answers, and let me tell you - some people should not work customer service.Her name is TY and I hope when somebody dies in her family, she will meet people as nasty as herself in her path.

We were excited to finally fly to see my brother at his new Air Force base when sadly my 75 year old father fell and broke his arm. We are now not able to fly and needed to cancel our reservations. We always preferred to fly American Airlines because of their great customer service, when I called to ask for a refund I was directed to then” supervisor “ who told me there is nothing he can do. No one has authority to offer anything but a credit. I don’t know when they will be allowed to fly again. I guess since covid... customer services is dead. Also when getting off the phone with me he in a derogatory tone said .. God bless you. Excuses me!!!! Thank you American Airlines. Will not pay extra to fly with you again!

Mask up. Wash your hands, yet regular fare people are packed into threes, on both sides of the aisle like human sardines. The stewardesses on my particular flight seemed to (facial looks without a word spoken) view us passengers like lepers. American Eagle, on the other hand, was much more comfy, and the employees were much more hospitable.

Canceled flight. Paid for two 1st class tickets put on next flight coach. AA did not put me on the 1st class upgrade list and down graded from group 1 boarding to group 3. Would think AA still would me and my wife board as group 1, since I paid premium for 1st class tickets, to ensure I will have space in overhead.

Sorry my disability is so inconvenient for you, I know how frustrated you got watching me struggle to lift a 54 lb. bag with one hand since I use a forearm crutch to walk. Horrible customer service. They rescheduled a flight four times. One seat even cost $30 extra, and still this airline will not do anything to refund the $30 or even get a flight to the same airport because there was a higher ranked member that took my spot.

If I was one of the people that missed my connecting flight because we went BACK to the terminal to pick up someone, this would be a -5. Because the whole timing was messed up we had to sit on the tarmac in Chicago and wait for a big plane to get out of the way. We usually have a great flight on AA...Luckily, we werent affected by the mess and had a wonderful flight attendant.

Poor service after a cancelled flight at 3am. Lots of unhappy people because of this. They only had 2 people at customer service, so the entire check-in area became crowded. Will be looking at other air lines from now on.Update. They got us on a flight 8 hours later. It was late getting to the gate, and even later arriving. Sprinted to the connecting flight which was still at the gate, but they would not let us board. Then the rudest lady Ive ever dealt with told us it was our fault for being late.We are now stuck at an airport 1000 miles from home, and 800 miles from our destination. The is the first and last time I ever fly this abomination of an airline.

The fact that you cant even upgrade to a better boarding position puts AA behind the competition. I found this out when I asked the woman at the counter if I could upgrade to which she rudely replied, Nope. I will make sure to use United, Delta or even Southwest since they seem to: a) offer upgrade options; and b) employ friendly counter personnel.

AA is one of the most consistently delayed airlines, but rather than accurately report the status of a flight, AA will board the plane and push five feet back from the gate to be on time, and then hold you on the plane for 45 minutes instead of taking off.If youve ever wanted to be treated like cattle and stuck on a plane, fly American Airlines.

Terrible service. Flight was delayed multiple times. And in the end it was basically cancelled. No one at the front desk could do anything for us. People on the call couldnt do anything for us. They advised to contact an email to get a refund and if any, a compensation. We lost a night at our resort and we lost our money. We had to purchase a whole new flight and wait. I wish I could put zero stars, never again.

Overbooked flight. 25 students flight delayed. Blamed on Max8 grounding that happened over 10 days ago. Management is trying to make it right. Tbd...American Airlines still claim they are not at fault and push blame to travel agency, which received confirmation from AA. Other passengers where also bumped. Way over sold flight, plain and simple. Students lost one full day in Costa Rica which is nonrefundable. The students are the ones that pay the price. Will look elsewhere for future flights.* updated* received an apology and free flight tickets. Sad that we had to fight to get them, but we did get the tickets.

Just to let you know if you are buying a economic basic they will be charging you for your bag, they count it like first bag to pay, if you have 2 bags you pay $70, if there are 3 bags, you will pay $150. So just you can take for free your personal bag and a small bag in cabin. Also international flights connected with other airline, they will charge you to pay again for your baggage. Just check the web page, because in this said you pay just one time fee for your baggage, but when you arrive they charge you again for you baggage. So disappoint .

I was scheduled to fly from Denver to San Antonio. I got to the airport an hour and 15 minutes early just like I do for every single flight I have ever taken and I fly at least once a month. I have never had a problem with checking my bags and getting through security with ample time to spare. This time, however, the wait to check my bag at the Denver airport was astronomical. I waited for 30 minutes before I was able to get to the front of the line. When I tried to check my bag, the unhelpful. unfriendly American Airlines employee, Carol, rudely told me I could not check my bag because my flight took off 40 minutes from the current time and the cutoff is 45 minutes. She informed me my bag would not get on the 6:25am flight but it could be put on the 8:55am flight. I did not argue about this and I calmly understood. It is no problem for my bag to arrive later than me. What IS a problem is that she then rudely proceeded to tell me I could not get on the flight either since my bag wasnt going to be on the flight. She told me I could fly standby on the 8:55 flight with my bag. This is where I disagree. The whole concept of You have to fly with your bag literally makes no sense. American Airlines loses bags all the time. Are you telling me you fly customers back to where the bag is and make them fly with it? Doubtful. If I dont get on my standby flight is someone holding on to my bag to take it off last minute when I dont get on? No. This is flawed logic. I should have been able to get on my scheduled flight without my checked bag and then just retrieved it from the airport when it arrived at a later time. Because of American Airlines inefficiency to get customers bags checked in a timely manner, I have to miss my flight.My family, who I did not get to spend Christmas with, now gets to postpone all our plans. Thanks American. And thank you, Carol, for making holiday travel with American so miserable.

430am on a Saturday. No one managing the self help kiosk. They time out after 10 mins. Was it a surprise to them that they had all these customers? 4 workers for a lot of customers. Thank you for reminding me why i never fly American airlines.Adding an edit.. so by the time i made it towards the front of the line more people showed up and everyone at the back of the line made it through since someone was partially watching the self service area. The people at the desk were nice but really seems undermanned and maybe allocated improperly. You still get the one star for poor planning.

Boarded people 10 minutes past when we should have taken off. Took off late, although we made up time in the air we had 15 minutes to go from Concourse C to E they werent going to take my mothers wheelchair over until entire plan was empty. I ran with wheelchair got there as flight was boarding.

The gentleman at curbside checking was exceptional! Didn’t catch his name but he immediately called for a wheelchair, tagged my bags and had me on my way within a couple of minutes! The downside is that American Airlines doesn’t let first class passengers use the lounge! What?! Every other airline I’ve flown on allowed it. American, you need to get on board. Boarding was a nightmare as they did not board handicapped first. One wheelchair bound man was brought on with the plane almost full. He had to maneuver in with people all around him. The steward skipped the whole front row when asking who wanted drinks. There was no offering to assist with my bags, and the steward was serving coach passengers as they were walking in. If you pay for 1st class, that’s the service you should receive. I’ll avoid American Airlines in the future and am canceling my credit card through them.

I travel monthly at least and American airlines is the worst, hands down. Landed us 6 hours from our destination, because of a crew shortage. Said they would pay for our hotel,rental car (to drive the rest of the way) food etc....but, they didnt. They said I need to pay and submit receipts. Then they lost all our luggage, said they would deliver... they didnt. Ended up driving back to another airport to pick up...and the attached photo is the attention I was given by the supervisor apparently napping at work is more important, after we were waiting on him for over 2 hours.

I give 5 stars for the flight MIA-DEN. USB & outlet available in every seat. Morning flight you get crackers and drinks(coffee, water, juice) for free. (2 rounds of soft drinks) And there is a small option for additional breakfast, snacks, soft drinks and alcohol. Seats have device holder too.

Poor service. Delayed our flights to miss our connection flight both to and from our trip. Way home they told us we could not check our bag yet because our flight was delayed. Woke up at 2am to get to the airport on time and they wanted to change our flight until the afternoon. The delay was known by them because it was an employee break issue. They needed 8 hours before the flight. Our flight was delayed until 4 hours. Had to ask to be put back on the delayed flight so we could at least check our bag and not have to go wait outside and go back through checkin later. They were not proactive about anything. So because of all their mistakes our trip now cost us another $200+ in meals, hours in time and made us make arrangements for our anamals to be looked after for an extra day. Only way to contact their complaint department is through a online form with only 2000 characters. Basically no help. It is a shame that smaller airlines give better support when something happens. Copa messed up our last trip to panama, but did a lot more to take care of us and get us home. They covered 2 days worth of meals a hotel and gave us travel voucher. Much more proactive than AA

Unusual and a nice experience... until we landed and the flight attendant started scolding a woman with a service dog because the dog cant be on the seat. She had paid for two seats and they had previously given her a hard time at the gate. He must have said it 5 times. We get it. The dog cant be on the seat.... because why?
