I highly recommend Grip Game’s Gi and No Gi classes. I visited Denison for a few weeks and got the chance to train at Grip Game with JJ, Jacob, and August. They are professional and are great instructors. They showed me some great techniques, warm-ups, and drills that I can add to my training. Thanks for the tips and the opportunity to train with you guys!

Because of coach J.J Thompson and the Grip Game Team, they saved my sons life he was being bullied at school and didnt want to live any more. He hated waking up. He said sleep was his only peace.As a single mom this is hard to hear. At school the teachers tell me my son is taking on leadership roles. There is no single activity that will teach your child to work harder than jiu-jitsu. It is as real as it gets unlike the other places in our area with a lot of smoke and mirrors. Great coaches, great environment for every type of person to learn self defense or sport/street jiu jitsu.

Professor JJ is phenomenal with children, forget about going to a MCDojo karate school, bring you children too grip game where they will learn a REAL self defense program and get real confidence and discipline in a safe, fun and structured environment adault classes are also very very good!

My son has been in the children’s jiu-jitsu class at grip game for a year, and has learned so much in that short amount of time. Along with all of the technical jiu-jitsu knowledge he has learned, he has gained so much confidence, courage, and self-esteem. Both of the trainers for the class, JJ and August, are amazing and work so well with the kids. JJ makes everyone feel welcome, regardless if you have been there for years, or if it is your first class. I highly recommend grip game!
