Awesome experience! Guide was very knowledgeable of the lake and where to find and more important, catch fish!! The biologist that stopped by said that most were ‘struggling’ to catch fish today but we had a limit of 40 and threw back 25+ in just a couple hours even though the lake was crowded. Once back to dock, he cleaned the fish and took extra care to make sure the fillets were ‘ready to cook’. Overall, fantastic and highly recommend!!

Great day of fishing with Adventure Texoma Outdoors and Captain John. I have been out with several other guides before but this trip was by far the best I have been with a guide at lake Texoma. John is well experienced on the lake and also eager teaching his patrons how to fish on this lake.We started our day trying some top water fishing and hitting a few very good hot spots almost limiting out (we caught more than our limit but had to throw many back because we already limited out on our big fish ). After the fish went lower we started fishing with slabs to give us another opportunity to learn slab fishing. We caught a few but needed 5 more small fish to totally limit out. I was extremely impressed Captain John stayed on the hunt instead of going back to the dock, we limited out!!! I would recommend John Blasingame and Adventure Texoma Outdoors to anyone looking to have a great day striper fishing! Cant wait to go out with him in the future!

Lake Texoma is a wonderful place to spend a weekend or a week an hour and a half north of Dallas Lake Texoma offers camping cabins fishing and restaurants and more what a great way to have an inexpensive staycation!

After a week of 70-80° weather i was concerned when a typical spring cold front came through a day before our trip. John worked his tail off and we ended up with a 4 man limit. GREAT TRIP!!!I highly recommend Adventure Texoma Outdoors. Thanks John

John took my family of four out and we couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience. We moved our days around to stay out of the snow and cold and he was super flexible and accommodating to make sure we were comfortable.We ranged from experienced fishers to beginners and John made sure we were on top of stripers all day so every one of us maxed out and caught fish and had fun. I know I’ll be coming back to John every time.

I’ve been fishing with John for 6 years now and always been at or very near limit every time. John is a great guy and I highly recommend his business.

We spent two days on the lake with John, and we did nothing but catch fish. I’ve gone out with other guides who just wanted to limit and get back to the dock ASAP, but not with John. Not only did he teach us better ways to catch Striper, there wasn’t a moment we didn’t have a rod in hand, usually with a fish on. And the service didn’t stop when we docked. He cleaned and packaged up the fish while we chilled at his cool bar.We had so much fun, we’re going back out with him next week. Don’t waste time with other guides, get on John’s schedule...IF you want to catch fish. If you just want to get a tan, try someone else.

I was given info from my neighbor, was told he was booked solid for weekends for the next month or so, however John set me up for a Thursday trip with less than a weeks notice! We went out 2 days after a cold front with blue bird skies and he was still able to get our limit considering the tough fishing conditions. His knowledge of Lake Texoma and how to pattern fish is something I’ve never seen before considering he uses artificial bait. His willingness to stick it out and grind through the day to get our limit is one of the main reasons he will be the only guide I will ever use on Texoma. We had a wonderful time with John today! He worked hard to keep us on fish all day. We caught and released at least 15 fish over 20” long. John did an excellent job of cleaning the fish too. He gets the red meat out of the fish, which improves the taste of the fish. From start to finish John is truly a class act. This was our first trip with him, but it definitely won’t be our last trip. Booked a fishing trip for my husbands birthday. John went above and beyond to make it a great day for my husband, son and 2 friends. They caught a TON of fish. We went out with John yesterday a 50% of heavy rain, the wind was strong, the waves were 3-4 ft sewells. John said dont worry this the ideal fishing weather. 3 1/2 hours later we were back at his dock with 40 fish limit for the day, we also released about 10. My 6 years son caught the biggest 8 pound stripper, my 10 years son said Captain John knew where all the fish were. I was quite new to fishing when I went along with my dad on this tour. Fishing in the lake was a very nice experience; I was able to pick up what to do fairly quickly with the instructions from both my dad and the instructor. The instructor was a very nice guy, he was quite patient with his instructions and he didn’t mind showing me certain things more than once. It was a great experience.

As a fishing enthusiast, I’ve been deep sea fishing, river-fishing, but never fishing on a lake; so naturally Lake Texoma caught my attention and I took the family for an outing there. It was a good experience, the captain was very friendly and he gave some useful tips to help us out. It was a much calmer experience than my other ventures but it was still awesome.

Went out on November 22 for a day of Striper fishing with John. It was a cold and windy morning but we were put on a school of fish immediately. Conditions were difficult but we were still able to easily catch a limit of fish.Don’t base John’s value on number of fish alone (some days they won’t bite no matter what you throw at them), he is a very personable guide and works diligently to put you on fish. You will work hard, running all over the lake, but this is much more fun and rewarding than the typical guide who is only interested in catching you a limit regardless of size just to get you back to the marina. We spent a full 6 hours on the water. This is my third trip to Texoma and easily the largest average size of fish due to John’s approach.His attention to detail continues back at the dock where he cleans the fish and removes the red meat. Most guides do not take this extra step.I highly recommend Adventure Texoma, we will be back to use him again.

We had an incredible family fishing trip this October. Captain Blasingame knows how to put fish in the boat. We were a novice group and loved the way he adjusted fishing style to make sure everyone caught plenty of striper. Fantastic guide service!

Our group went out with John back in the summer and the fishing was terrible (5 people, 6 hours, and 8 fish 😥). Unlike most guides, John made sure to book us another trip and got us back out on the lake. I was skeptical at first, but it comes to show that this is fishing and not catching. Its impossible to say that everyday is going to be a good day.We had three people in our group today and had a great time. We were able to get our limit fairly quick and kept on fishing. Ended up throwing back at least 50 more before ending the day. John knows his stuff because there were other boats near us throughout the day and we were out fishing them 5 to 1.
