If youre looking for a place to buy your rank/belts this is not it. This place is for those looking to learn true martial arts skills, confidence, courage, and self-discipline. Along the way, you make friends and become apart of the family. Last year we started with just one kid enrolled and now all of our kids enjoy being apart of the ATA family. The growth in their skillset and strength of their character in less than a year is remarkable. We are truly honored to have found this gem of a place and recommend it to every and anyone we encounter.

The staff was wonderful, cooperative and flexible. My friend and I had our sons enrolled and truly they should have been in different classes due to their skills, but the staff accommodated us due to my work schedule and limited times we could attend. I just wish for honesty. If a child was not ready for testing tell the parent instead of embarrassing the child at the testing event. If a parent was late to testing, don’t allow the student(s) to participate or chastise the parent in public. A simple no they can not participate today and schedule a meeting with parent afterwards. My boys were enrolled simple to develop self esteem and as an extracurricular activity. The boys had started playing football (practice 4 days a week) which conflicted with this and if they were not ready for testing I would have understood, but the long speech and embarrassment caused to my son at testing was unnecessary and I felt unprofessional. Wishing you all the best. Great teachers and people, just hated our relationship ended this way and my son never forgetting that experience.

Amazing facility, amazing instructors and amazing teamwork! We have been here for several months and it is such a blessing. From the students, to the parents, to the instructors... all the way to the owners 😁 A BLESSING. The instructors care about each kid. They not only care that each student is learning the form, but they care about what is going on personally with each student. I love that my son has found something he enjoys and everyone is so willing to work with him... even on his goofy days! If you are not at Denham Springs Martial Arts... YOU NEED TO BE!!!

The transformation I have seen in my sons self esteem since he has been enrolled here is amazing. My son loves Martial Arts and looks forward to his classes. He shows a degree of confidence in himself that I have never seen from him before attending Martial Arts classes. I also love the no nonsense instructional approach from Sr. Master Dendy. He teaches discipline and respect and demands it in return.

I stumbled across Denham Springs ATA Martial Arts 6 years ago because I was looking for an activity for my children who had no interest in typical sports programs. I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Come in and check them out in person. You won’t be disappointed.

I called down and spoke someone who was very genuine. I explained that I was looking for a place that would teach my kids self esteem. He walked me through all the classes and we will be stopping in to watch a class. Cant wait to sign my kids up!

We absolutely love this place. Although our son has only been enrolled since July 2018, he has accomplished so much. Our son is High Functioning Autistic along with many other things and is learning to slow down, be patient, respectful and attentive. We appreciate all of the work the Dendys do along with the rest of the Leaders. Thanks so much for letting us be a part of this wonderful family.

My son Cole has been a attending this school for over five years. The trainers are great with kids and adults. No egos here. Family atmosphere for the students and an area for family to watch with other familys. This school teaches the same values I try to pass on to my son. So it is a great outlet for everyone. Not a boot camp, but you are required to give it your all.

Best karate school ever ! The owners and the other instructors are so good with all of the students..I have been going to this school for 10 years, and would not consider going anywhere else. It is a very family oriented school.

Best school in the area! My grandson has thrived here! He holds 5 World titles under the instruction of Sr Master Jason Dendy!

Not only does this place teach effective martial arts and self-defense skills, it allows all students to learn meaningful life lessons such as respect, honor, listening to parents/guardians, working hard, integrity, etc. It is an incredible experience for all participants, even parents. Definitely recommend this school for anyone who wants to have the most enjoyable and valuable experience in martial arts that they could get the opportunity to have!

This place was nothin special, people were rude. I would suggest something different for exercise for a little girl. I like leaps and bounds as a better option.

Great training, great people, and most importantly they teach, train and reinforce what we as parents teach our children in the home. Respect, self control, manners, values etc.... great organization !

Not Worth itWatch out for bogus long term contracts, read every word of contract, take it home, don’t just take their word for it and sign.The whole “membership” explanation is rediculous. The location isn’t losing anything when a student doesn’t come to class. The student doesn’t get much when they attend either.Also, for something so expensive, you would think the place would be bigger. There was hardly any room in the location with not much seating. I hated sitting so close to all the smelly people or having to sit on the floor or stand for an hour. And for what-nothing I’m return.

My oldest took classes from Senior Master Dendy when she was a young girl! Taught her discipline!I learned self defense and kick boxing! Love them!

Boo! All these people want to do is sell you stuff. They are super clicky and only pay attention to the kids whose parents spend the most money. The over priced dues shouldve been enough to get what we paid forFyi, my niece went there and I got the right place.

Since bringing my daughter to this school the experience has been nothing short of excellent. From Sr. Master Dendy and Head Instructor Mr. Ballard, the level of professionalism is unparalleled. While building my daughters self confidence and giving her the tools to defend herself she is also bwing challenged mentally and physically. The intructors push the students to perform at their absolute best during testing and tournaments, which is evident by the number of World Champions attending the school. Its one of the best things my wife and I decided to do for our daughter. Thank you, Denham Springs ATA.
