Took my vehicle to another auto shop who had changed my oil last time. They said they weren’t able to get the oil filter off without breaking the housing. I explained they had installed the filter. They said they didn’t have the right tool to remove the filter without breaking the housing. So i took it to Mavis in Denham Springs. They had no issue removing the oil filter. Very professional and very prompt service. I’ve used this location in the past for purchasing tires. I will be using them for oil changes and other items in the future. Thanks

This location is very busy, recommend making an appointment, especially on the weekend. Also recommend calling to confirm that they have the tires requested, even if the website says they have them in stock. Luckily they had the tires I needed. Candi and the other lady there, didnt get her name, but were courteous and professional, even though they were extremely busy. I was in and out in a little over an hour. This was my first time there, but highly recommend them. A+ service.

I may have had to wait a while but they are thorough and do their best to help the customer get only what they need. They are all very friendly and try to ensure that you are comfortable while waiting. They have free WiFi and have vending machines for drinks and snacks that only take cash.

I have come Mavis for service on both of my vehicles. They are always quick and professional. Prices are competitive—I’ve never felt like I was getting taken for a ride like I have with other tire shops. Richard was very helpful!

Went to have my tires installed from Amazon and they could not find the delivery that was supposed to be delivered by FedEx. However, since they could not find the delivery they provided a temporary solution and promised to provide all four tires that I had ordered 2 days from the expected delivery date and would handle all the Amazon discrepancies that happened in the background as if nothing happened.After a couple of days oh, I went in and that they installed all four of my brand new tires in a very timely fashion and had zero problems with the transaction. Very nice and courteous

RAVE!!! Big thank you to Richard at Mavis Tires & Brakes in Denham! Elderly family friend bought 2 tires last week but did not purchase road hazard. When leaving for a medical procedure on Tuesday morning, she realized one of the new tires was completely flat ... total mental meltdown commenced! I called Mavis and was told to bring it in and they would check it out. Turns out she had picked up a nail during her ONE outing over the weekend. Mavis patched the tire at no charge! But then, when the technician opened the driver door to move the car, the door handle fell off! She had already lost one handle a few weeks earlier and chose to not worry about it right now since it was a back door. But she couldn’t ignore the driver door handle! Richard told me if I could get new handles, he would fix both broken handles as well for no charge! Talk about make an elderly woman living on a fixed income happy! Makes my heart smile as well! Thanks again Richard and Mavis Tires & Brakes!

My mother has always told me you dont pay for loyalty when doing business(i.e. cable, phone service, oil changes ect.)but to shop around for the most competitive price. Well today Mavis in Denham Springs made that an untrue statement. I have been going to them for my oil changes this year(which is a lot because I drive a lot for work) and so when my tire got punctured this week I of course I took it to Mavis. They not only gave me a great deal on the tires and mounting but also a customer LOYALTY DISCOUNT! My car was in out quickly today. Thank You Mavis for always having friendly customer service and doing a well job.

I brought my van to Mavis tires in Denham Springs to get 4 new tires. The guy asked me if I wanted him to check my alignment since it was free so I said sure. I had a perfect alignment before they touched my van. From the moment I left their store, my van has been pulling to the right very badly. I called them back to see what could be done and they said they didnt touch my alignment and I would have to pay for an alignment! The supervisor was extremely rude and told me that they werent responsible because Baton Rouge roads are bad (are you kidding me?) and I could have hit a pothole which I absolutely did not! I could not believe the way I was being treated and talked to on the phone by this man! I asked him if this was how they treated their customers and he said no so why was I being talked to this way? Very rude and unprofessional and I will never buy tires from them again! I would pay double somewhere else just to be treated with respect!

Will lie in order to get your business. Was told they would overnight my tires. That one day turned into one week. Could have ordered them anywhere else and gotten them faster. They knew that and chose to lie to me instead. Never trust your car to an untrustworthy company.

Nate at Mavis hooked me up! Had some brake issues on my Jeep and it turned out to be and bearings that caused brake issues...fixed in better time than it took another shop to even look at it! Even alerted me to repairs that will be required down the road. Solid team and shop!! Will be back if needed in the future!

Was able to schedule an appointment fairly quickly to have a new set of tires put on. They were able to install them and have me on my way in no time. Very knowledgeable staff in the front and they were able to answer all my questions.

I rescheduled my appointment with a lady at the Mavis call center, but upon showing up for my new appointment time, we came to find out that the lady never changed my appointment time. Being that it was a Saturday morning, they were very busy. They found a way to squeeze me in and finished my vehicle in decent time. Also, my 4Runner has never run this smooth throughout the time I’ve had it. Will definitely be going back!

Ive frequented many auto repair shops in my time and have enjoyed none of them--theyre like vehicular dentistry. This all changed, however, when a tow truck unceremoniously dropped off my worn out Elantra w/ a blown out tire: I came for some renewed rubber on my wheels, and they vulcanized my soul...To put it bluntly, if youre like me and tire-d of all the hassle and overselling of other auto shops, then theres only one man who can save us, and that is Mr. Mavis...

I went into this Mavis on Saturday without setting an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised when they had finished my car in less than an hour. Absolutely amazing service.

Great experience and very friendly! Work on car (2 tires) started as soon as I got there and it was done in no time. I set my appointment up online and they called to verify they had the tires in stock and I was ready to go. Would highly recommend!

Started taking my cars here after a different shop tried to convince me that I needed $1000 worth of work on a problem that didn’t exist. The guys @ Mavis (Skidmarks when I started going) are always super nice & very helpful but most importantly, honest. I’ve purchased 3 maybe 4 sets of tires from them. Good prices & quality work. Today, I had to get a tire patched. Unfortunately, they were busy & their AC was out. They took my tire & said they’d get it patched if I wanted to leave & come back. Instead of sitting inside an 85 degree tire shop, I got to enjoy the comfort of my home & ac. They called me when it was ready & put the tire on when I got back with my car. They’ve always been great. If they tell me they found a problem, I know I can trust them. They always do whatever they can to accommodate the customer & the customer’s needs.
