You can never get ahold of anyone when you need to, and their customer service drags. You have to go thru 5 people to get the answer you need, and they try to charge more than what was agreed upon without notice. Their internet is all a scam and if I was able to rate a 0 I would. The fact that they tried to charge us 150 plus for their mistake was the last straw. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I had a service upgrade installed. I paid for installation and paid the 400 something dollars which I did not receive when I received the bill. I never received an billing statement via email or mail for about 2 months. Than I get a collection letter! This Company is just garbage! What customer service! I will never tell people to ever use this garbage Company!

I had two years at the reduced rate. Then of course, youre no longer favored. I finally got someone to answer my question. Im paying $35. for 6mbps. Humm. Metronet has 200 mbps for $49. #headscratcher.Frontier FYI: good luck getting a signal that doesnt drop every ten minutes.

I was supposed to get service with frontier, but i never did, here’s why. okay so i had recently moved in a pretty rural area. my apartment had their own internet but they weren’t able to do installations and the only other option was frontier. i needed internet immediately being that i’m a student and during these times all my classes were online. getting signed up was a breeze, the lady on the phone was very pleasant and the prices seemed decent. she scheduled a tech to come and install my internet. i took off work because the tech was supposed to come between 1-4pm. 4:30 comes and there’s no tech so i call the 1-800 number. the person on the phone tells me that a tech is in my area so i wait. 5:00 rolls around and there’s still no tech in sight. i call again and the person tries telling me that the tech tried calling me. i never received a call because somehow the tech got a completely different number on file. which makes no sense considering i was receiving texts letting me know that the tech was on their way. i gave them the correct phone number and they claim to have sent the correct number to the tech. it’s 6:00 and there’s still no tech. i’m annoyed at this point so i call again and they tell me the exact same thing. 7 rolls around and i’m over my limit. i called the 1-800 number and demand to speak to a supervisor. the supervisor tells me the tech wouldn’t be able to install my internet because my buildings chords were cut up and that an engineer would have to come out there and that i’d have to wait two weeks. this angered me because why wasn’t i told that the first time i called? no communication whatsoever and they just wasted a bunch of my time. mind you i’m missing out on work. about a week later i find another provider and i call frontier to cancel my service only to find out it’s already been canceled. i know i don’t really have a reason to be upset since i was gonna cancel it anyways, but it’s the fact that they just canceled my order without even telling me. how are they even a business? i feel sorry for all these people who have to deal with them. this was long lol

Horrific customer service. Had nothing but issues ever since we moved back to the city limits of Sheridan. Called 5/5/2020 and they can’t send anyone for over a week! Soonest availability is 5/11/2020. Now I understand that right now times are tough but with everyone home but, having an unreliable service is inexcusable. I hope another more reliable service comes to town soon. Even if I have to pay more than the $70 I pay right now. Yes $70 for internet that doesn’t even work consistently!

This company has the worst customer service ever. After squaring up my bill with a representative, and then cancelling my services, 3 months later I received a bill saying if I did not make a payment, my account would be sent to collections. Called customer service and was given a run around. Wasnt able to speak with a manager/supervisor. I ended up having no choice but to pay so I told the representative to note that I would be making a payment on 2 weeks. 1 week later I get a bill from a collection agency!!DONT GET FRONTIER!!! SCAMMERS!!!!

How is being put on hold for over an hour OK? Horrible customer service. They are trying to charge me for a service fee when the person never showed up. Beyond ridiculous. We will be dropping them and switching to a different provider. Absolutely livid at the moment. Do not ever go with Frontier.

We live in the country. Options are limited, we dont have super high expectations of our Internet provider. However, our Internet speed with Frontier has gotten so slow that its no longer useable. Even loading webpages is hit or miss. I called to cancel service today, and was told Id be charged a cancellation fee. To cover the labor of disconnecting my service. Seriously? Im canceling because you cant provide me acceptable service, and I have to pay a fee for your inadequacy?? My download speed is 0.04 Mbps!And Frontier, before you leave a ridiculous response for Me to reach out to You on Twitter or Facebook to resolve yet another negative review, guess what... I CANT, BECAUSE YOUR INTERNET IS TOO SLOW!

I have been on an off the phone with frontier for two months. Took two months to get my modem! Now I am waiting another week for them to send someone out to help with service!! They are horrible!! I wish I could have another internet service but I live out in the country. I have never had so many problems trying to get internet on my life. I have called and no one helps! I have had to talk to a manager to get my modem that I called for two months about. This is pathetic customer service!! Don’t get this service unless you have to!!

This is literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. The service goes out frequently for days at a time. They wont reimburse you for the time you werent able to use your phone. The prices are crazy high and their customer service is awful. DO NOT USE.

Rates have increased over 60%; service is poor (frequent disconnects and resets); tech support is time consuming, poorly trained, and couldnt resolve my issue after many calls (some over 45 minutes). They try to hide fees in their bills and charge you extra when you disconnect from their poor product (after being a customer for several years). Xfinity offers a better product and service at the same price (less expensive for an introductory period). We recently switched to Xfinity and have been very pleased.I see my score of 2 stars actually improved their overall google rating. Sad.

DO NOT GET FRONTIER. I don’t write reviews at all. But from this experience, I have to. I canceled frontier services about 6 months ago and I only had the service for 3 months and today i found out i got a derogatory mark on my credit report. I canceled them due to terrible wifi connections. Apparently I owed 62 dollars and some odd change. It brought my credit score down. Around the time I canceled the service, I made sure that everything was paid off and that I owe nothing. When I called about the inquiry, they have told me that the money was owed due to service fees. At this point I have paid over 200 dollars for 3 months to this service. Customer service would not work with me in resolving this, but instead insisted me to pay the fee. All this resulted to this bad review.

This is one of the worst companies Ive ever had to deal with. I started out at one rate and they doubled it six months before they were ever supposed to increase the rate based off of the contract that they gave me. Their customer service was terrible. We could never get anyone to come out and look at our internet. We always had failures. When I asked them to cancel the service, they never did and I got another bill the next month. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

THIS COMPANY SUCKS!!! I have been contacting this company for over a month about the poor internet service and all they can tell me is there is nothing wrong. 2 technicians and a router replaced later and still having problems. I had a customer service rep even go as far as to tell me it could be my microwave, so now my computer is hard wired and still bad service????? I have been a customer for over 8 years and the service has not had any major issues till October of this year. I just tried to call and talk to a supervisor and they just keep deflecting me to the customer service rep. That tells me as a customer that the manager is to good to talk to me. Dont forget w/out customers you dont have a job. CUSTOMER SERVICE Maybe this company needs to go back to school and relearn what that means. THAT MEANS GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASS AND PUT YOUR COFFEE DOWN AND DO YOU JOB. Sorry to ask you to do what the company pays you to do. If I ran this company I would take a serious look at what the hell is going on. I work in customer service and have all my life and no I am not a kid. I work from home and when I moved to the area in April, I called frontier to get much needed internet service. They lied to me and told me that their internet would be all that I needed for work and entertainment. Everything was fine to begin with and then about two weeks in, i noticed interruptions in my VMware. Employer thought it was my computer and sent me a new one but I still was having issues. Realized it was frontier and when I called they said they would have to reset on their side but all should be good. Problem persisted so I had to cancel and switch to another company. They then charged me for someone to flip a switch and never told me they would charge for early release for leaving!....I do not recommend this service for anyone....they lie and tell you what you want to hear and then when they cannot provide you with what you want or need, and you decide to leave.....this is where they make their money! Go to reliable company that can back up what they tell you when signing on! Note: one star is too much!

Internet goes out ALL the time. It went out 3 times in 30 mins tonight so I called and the guy told me to run a test on MY phone when the INTERNET is out....I run the test after turning my WiFi off and i tell him the numbers and he tells me there’s nothing MORE he can do.... which insinuates he did something in the first place.He said he’ll have someone call me in 24-48 hours. I said tell them to call me about me NOT paying a DIME for their service and they can pick up their modem in the dumpster.My mom unfortunately didn’t read the reviews before signing up for this.... wish she had.

I live in an area that only provides 2 services. The one service is very pricey. I selected frontier for the price. I didn’t expect much. The tech didn’t show up after waiting all day for him. I called them to find out what was going on. I guess the tech resided for me that I wouldn’t want the service due to the fact that he couldn’t deliver the speed I signed up for. ? Why have it as an option if it’s not even available. So I decided to skip frontier. A little later decided to try again. This time i opted for self installation. Waited a week for the tech to come out and turn it on. I was told by the customer service that I would be able to turn internet on after 8 pm. When I never received the equipment to install. I called again and was then told that the equipment isn’t even being sent out till the day the service was turned on. They insured me I wouldn’t be charged for anything up till I actually installed the equipment. Haha! Guess what it wasn’t even mailed till the following Monday. Now I still don’t have it and don’t anticipate anything either. Not a great start.

0.54 Mbps download/ 1.36 Mbps uploadIm paying $80 a month for dial up speeds in 2019. Every day, every month, every hour this is what Frontier delivers for the money that is paid to them. Dont waste your time or your money with Frontier. If youre in Dekalb/Cortland, Metronet should be finishing up dropping cables for fiber internet. Youd be better off trying with them because if their speeds are only 1% of what they advertise, it would literally still be faster than what Frontier will give you.

We had this service for 3 months last year and charged $400 for services that either did not work or not order. After 10s of hours on the phone with their customer-no-service, we filed a complaint with the BBB, settled on $64, and cancelled service. Several months later, a tall tractor ripped the phone line from the house to the pole and the Frontier tech asked to reinstall it. Of course we declined and the tech literally yanked what remained of the line off the pole. THE END

If I could give negative stars, I would. Categorically the worst company known to mankind. Their chat customer service is a joke. Call-in not much better. Watch them -- and your bank account -- like a hawk. They autodebit your bank account for mysterious, unexplained amounts without an explanation, later reverse credits put on your account, and do their best to give you the runaround and frustrate you. Ive chatted with nine different people online and had four calls about my account, all without resolution. Stay away from these scam artists. Their very business model is designed to rob you of money, frustrate you, and wear you down.

As of now I am officially cutting ties with Frontier. 5 techs within 3 weeks, Internet outages on going everyday, calling them on a daily basis. It is not worth wasting your money on service that you can barely use. I will NEVER get frontier EVER again! Worst internet provider I’ve had ever in my entire life! Hope your company gets shut down because the way you take advantage of your customers and the amount of money they waste on useless “internet” is a damn disgrace. 5 days of actually working internet cost me $187.00 ! Dont be sucked into that $32 Internet quote - The first months bill was $167! It only worked for 1 day. They eventually sent me a new internet router 1 month later, and it worked sporadically for about 4 days then quit. The Technician said we have had a lot of trouble with these Aerens routers - they are very fragile to noise spikes. So Frontier makes its money overcharging for the 1st month and then ignoring the lack of service after that. It took a lot of complaining just to get a $32 refund (was $229!) for the lack of internet. No More Faultier Communications for me!

Worst service ever!!!! Absolutely hate the customer service.. They proved i paid every month for 4 months on the 2nd or 4th of the month. Then this month they swear they sent me a discount notice which i never got, qnd they interrupted my service. But after they proved that they never discounted me before and proved they never sent me a notice, they try and tell me its automated. Ya right. Customer service pushes the problem to collections and then they blame customer service. They always hang up on you when transferring. And the best one is Ill put you through to a supervisorwhich means they leave you on hold for 2 hours!!! I have proof!!! I screenshot the phone call!!! They are horrible!!! Never use them!!! Frontier is a joke...by far the worst. They offer you the biggest package they offer that’s not cheap and here you are lucky to get “good” internet for maybe 20 minutes. Don’t waste your money or time. To me they seem to only use there customers and take what money they can get! Frontier continues to take monthly draft from a senior after his death.We returned the internet equipment to the store front in August 2017 in Rochelle, ILL. a few weeks after my uncle passed and we cancelled the account. In December I realized they were still deducting money from his account so I called and was told I had to fax a copy of the death certificate and proof that I was executor and also that they would not refund more than three months. I called back in February 2018 because they were still taking money from his account and hadn’t cancelled the service. I was told I would get a refund of about $330. It is June 2018 and to date I have received a $7 and some change refund because when I called back again in April or May they had to submit the $330 refund and another one for $7ish. They finally were successful at cancelling his account and the auto draft, but didn’t bother to keep notes from the first few phone calls so there is no record of anything before Feb. 2017.Frontier continued to take money from an elderly man after he was deceased and the two people that felt bad about it and could see the money shouldn’t have been taken, and tried to get the refund processed, are the only ones with morals.It is shameful that frontier has decided to steal from a deadman. Just disgusting!!

I’ve been with Frontier off and on for years now..and unfortunately had to return with them about a year ago. I can’t play any online games without lagging out so badly, can’t watch Hulu or anything without it constantly buffering, yet they try to tell me I need to pay more to up my speed and try telling me my internet is working 100%! (Yeah not!!) mind you I just had a bad wire fixed out back in my backyard and of course solved nothing, had the tech come out again to replace my modem, still nothing. I’m STILL not able to play my games or barely watch anything. Pretty sad when I’m already paying almost $100 a month. Very unfortunate that this is the only internet provider we have in our area besides Mediacom who isn’t any better..wish we had Comcast come out this way.

Not only did they sell us a speed of MPBS which was not supported in our area (unbeknownst to us) but then charged us for five months until a tech came out to see why our internet was running so slow and found that they were swindling us. Prior to that another tech came out to fix an issue they had caused and we were charged for it although it was not our fault. It took months for us to recieve the refund and hours of calls to customer service. The only decent part of this company was some of the customer service and tech agents and by some I also mean that some were not helpful and rude. If you have any other choice then go with them over Frontier. Not only will you save money but you will not be supporting this trash company.BUT WAIT, THERES MORE:Being that I’m a college student I go home to the suburbs of Chicago for the summer. Unfortunately, bills don’t get a summer vacation so my roommates and I have still been paying for this service. Out of the four of us in the apartment, only one was staying in the apartment over the summer so it would be reasonable to assume that the internet connection would be extremely fast. WRONG, NOT WITH FRONTIER. The modem stopped working and still has not been fixed to this day and mind you it hasn’t been working since JUNE 23. Their tech never came out on the day they were scheduled due to “being extremely busy”. We called back on JULY 1 and they told us no one could come out until JULY 9. When we ask to be transferred over to retention to cancel the account they switch lines only for retention to be closed that day.This company is by far the worst I have ever dealt with in my life and I’m sure it will remain in the top three until my death. Called in because my father in laws phone was out of service, they would not let me turn his phone in because I didnt have his pin number....which I am sure he doesnt even know or have.....his phone is always out of service and I have done this at least 3 times a year for the last 13 years.....I call tell them that his phone is out and they say, ok, and they send a technical guy out and fix it...they said they couldnt do this anymore without the pin... if my father in law dies tonight because he cant dial 911 I am suing this company for all they have.

Had nothing but problems. They did not show up to three install appointments, I was mis-charged over $200 in the 3 months I had service. Customer service could never give me a straight answer and I had to wait 2 months for the refund/bill credit. The internet was sketchy at best. I paid for 24mbps and I would almost never get more than half of that on a good day. I had a tech out multiple times due to significant speed issues. When trying to pay my final bill I was told I had to wait 2 more billing cycles for the final total to come through. A few weeks later, I got a notice saying they were sending me to collections if I didnt pay my bill within a week. According to the last customer service rep I talked to, I was misinformed my the previous rep and would have indeed been sent to collections if I didnt pay the bill in the next few days. It was just a headache.

Now, it has gotten to the point where we cant play video games on one device, and have another person watching YouTube. I realized I had been paying Frontier $9.99 a month for the personal security bundle having never wanted that service or activated it I called to have it removed. It takes forever to get to a person I mean FOREVER... finally got someone from billing to take my call and remove the service. The next month it was still on my bill. Called again was told it was off, it wasnt. This process kept going on. I was such a dumbass to keep paying those charges. Finally I stopped. I think this type of abuse is widespread. How many people pay their bill without looking at it? I was lied to and cheated by this company and would NEVER! let anyone get robbed by them again without voicing my opinion. I bet a class-action lawsuit will be coming in the next couple of years for their systematic and intentional thievery. P.S. the internet is really slooooooooow.

Awful service. They say that they will provide UP TO a certain amount in terms of internet speed. Do not let this fool you, They claim I can get up to 6 mbps yet I receive something more along the lines of 1.3 Mb per second. Do yourself a service and do not get frontier internet.

Ive had this service for years now but now its time for me to move on due to the fact that their chat reps dont do what their suppose to when you reach out to them through the chat. I contacted them through chat and told the rep my situation and she was suppose to give me an extension until September 4th but today of all days when school starts my daughter could not access her classes due to them cutting off the internet. And every rep I talked to or chatted with claimed they have no recorded or notes that I chatted with anyone and that I had to pay the pass due in order to reconnect my services which is crazy because I already explain to every last one of them that I wont have it until the 4th. But its ok Frontier youll no longer have me as a customer just like you have lost many.

I called customer service on Friday july 22nd at around 4pm. I was told after trouble shooting that my modem was not responding and it required a technician to come out and replace the modem. Ok, I was fine with that until they couldnt come until Monday July 25th. So I called Charter and they scheduled install the next day between 2-3pm. I was called on Saturday by tech support and said oh it looks like your service is back up. Really, incompetent company, wont let you speak to a supervisor, long hold times.

It took 6 weeks for me to finally get internet, including 6+ hours of cumulative time with customer service. Finally told them how fed up I was with the wait so they told me I would get free installation and a $25 credit to my account. Just got my bill for July (I didnt even have internet until the 8th) and its $84. Called the local DeKalb office for help and David was pretty rude to me, didnt ask me my name, didnt speak politely to me like one would expect of customer service workers. Just said whats your frontier account number when I couldnt come up with it he said well then I cant help you. I thought he would at least attempt to look me up by my frontier email or address or name or something. Sadly Frontier is still better than my other option Comcast, their wifi never worked and the rates went up every 6 months.

Absolutely terrible service. The internet crashes at least 10 times a day. Its slow. Customer service is rude and promises things they dont follow through with. Ive currently been out of Internet for 4 days and they wont even send a repairman for another 4 days. Ridiculous!The customer service rep would not listen to me and kept talking over me. They were sending me bills for two accounts, one of which was never even activated, and unknowingly thats the account i was paying on so now my actual account has been suspended and i have called customer service over FIVE times to resolve the issue and the most recent phone call i was on hold for an hour only to get hung up on when i was supposed to be getting transferred. This is the ABSOLUTE worst company. I honestly do NOT know how they are even still in business. I asked for a transfer in May 2016, and since then i have had NOTHING but problems because of Mistakes made by their incompetent staff. I have called every month more than twice a month, and still nothing is fixed. Wait on hold FOREVER, and then they have people say they will call you back, and they never do. Once THEY figure out what they are going to do about my bill that THEY overcharged me for and charged me for things i did NOT even order i WILL be canceling. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SERVICE IVE EVER DEALT WITH! DO NOT USE FRONTIER.

Worst customer service ever. They keep billing me for internet service that was never even installed. I have contacted them numerous times including a letter and they still keep billing me. RIDICULOUS

Gave 1star because 0 stars was not an option. Unethical business tactics,agreed to a no contract internet service but was then told it would be $200 to cancel. Also charged me $85 for supposedly free installation. Horrible customer service.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. If I had another choice I would switch. Havent had my service a month and they cannot get the billing right. If you have a choice do not chose Frontier!!!!
