The food was fantastic. The pairing of cheese tortellini and chicken marsala was the best. I would highly recommend to try them out and see what I mean. Very well maintained restaurant with cleanliness being at the top of their list.

One of the best italian restaurants in DeKalb. The dishes are big and worth the price. Food is great. I have tried their vodka sauce fettuccine with shrimp. Their bread is also great and fresh. You can eat as much you want.Servers are very knowledgeable about what they cook and serve. You can get their ideas if you don’t know much about Italian food.Will visit again if we go to DeKalb again.

Wonderful food. Authentic and delicious. Had only been once prior in early January, and when I returned, not only was I remembered by possibly the manager or owner, he remembered my order (sausage and peppers). Drove 45 minutes and was not at all disappointed.

Great food. Better than Olive garden. Lol. We wen as a group and the food cam out perfectly timed. I would choose this place over any chain italian restaurant. Every plate in the group was cleaned off. The price is average for upscale dining.

Food is fresh, homemade, and sooooo tasty! Their alcohol selection is good, top quality. The owner is one of my favorite people that Ive met in Dekalb, he is so nice and its such a pleasure to see him when I go. Im a vegetarian and I love the food here, but my meat eating friends love it as well and they have a great selection. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, with a bar area, and they have a patio as well.

Prices where a bit high but not much higher than olive Garden. I felt there was more choices than Olive Garden. I felt there was a bit of over use in salt in the soup and salad. The martini was really good.

Really good food, steak was really thin and under cooked, Lobster was small, however really good

The food was made fresh and service was great! The price was bad either. I ordered the chicken parmesan with spaghetti noodles and my hubby ordered chicken alfredo... Both sauces were homemade and delicious!!! For dessert we shared a slice of cheesecake and a canoli. I would eat there again and again!

Really liked the pizza 🍕at this location. About $25+ for a 18 inch pie but totally worth it in my opinion!This location is right in the middle of NIU, surrounded by apartments and student housing. The team that works there is incredibly kind and takes pride in their workmanship.The pizza was incredibly tasty, but more importantly, the ingredients were fresh and the undercarriage was cooked all the way through. This is the kind of pizza that you would order on a date or want to eat slowly. Out of a 1-10 score...I’d give it an 8.1 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Been here a few times now. REAL food, You can tell its made in house. I like the Variety of distinct flavors with plenty of traditional and unique dishes on the menu. I recommend the Steak Pizzaiola, and the Alfredo. My wife loves the Chicken Picata. I also like that its sort of inconspicuous, hidden back behind NIU campus.

Went here with to celebrate my two year anniversary and my partners food had hair in it. They sent it back and redid it, which was fine but they didnt even compensate for the inconvenience. Our server also did not wear his mask correctly!!! He seemed like he didnt want to be there and did not give us the experience we wanted to have. Food was great, but I wished our service was better. I expect better service with employees wearing their masks correctly as well.

Pat Mulhern, the assistant manager gave the best service I’ve ever experienced. I never had to ask for anything he was always ahead of the game. Will definitely be back just because of the service!

Amazing staff friend with a truly refined and diverse menu. This family has perfected their craft and it shows. Great place to entertain guests and family. Great for takeout. Amazing patio with drinks and music for the upcoming spring and summer months. Located in an area some may be unfamiliar with, trust me when I say, this place is a dismond. A hidden besuty. I recommend anyone in the area to take a visit, feel it out and come back and enjoy the drinks music and outdoor dance floor!

What great service! This is a notch up from your normal sit down restaurant. If you like Italian food, seek this place out. The service alone is worth the trip. WOW! This place had THE BEST alfredo sauce and homemade rolls I have ever had. Flavors were phenomenal and the service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was inviting. I wish I lived closer so this could be my new regular place.

Absolutely Amazing!!!! Read the reviews prior to going and was glad to give Fanatico a try. The Bruschetta.....best we’ve ever had. Everyone enjoyed their meals and their martinis are excellent. The service was great as well. Probably one of my favorite restaurants in the De Kalb area. I believe the location is the only drawback.

In my experience of being a regular here, i am always welcomed back. There is a full scale basement that is capable of hosting private events in addition to the outside patio. Lastly, i recommend trying the chicken fanatico. It is a popular dish among others that is excellent!

The food alone warrants a high rating. This town has always had a hard time keeping a good Italian restaurant in business. Maybe it was because the ones that failed werent consistent. Fanatico has never let me down with their quality of food. Their staff are always friendly and they treat everyone like a VIP.

Simo is a great bartender and made me a Wabo Rita, it was amazing. By far the best Italian place in Dekalb.

Food was great! Good portions! Desert failed on many levels... better to offer one good desert than offer many deserts that just dont cut it! I bought three different deserts to go at the end of the night, and when we tried each and every one, it was just a big disappointment! If they had offered a good ice cream on a hot brownie, Id have given them five stars... Also one more thing... Saftey Note: the chairs are very tipsy! (Tip backwards easily)So do NOT let your children play on them! I know it shouldnt be allowed, but some of us have very active children that just wont sit still... So just pay extra attention to your children if you must bring them...

At the time we were there, we were almost the only patrons there as university students were home for the summer. Its location, along fraternity row, makes it a busy place during the school year.I dont often order Italian because of its salt content. That said, the lasagna was flavorful and attractively served. Staff were attentive and helpful. We were seated near a wall mounted TV which we requested be turned to lower volume, which was happily and quickly done. Everyone in our party enjoyed their entrees, including one special request for gluten free.

Always have amazing service, food, and drinks here! Great drink specials every day, and My favorite dishes are the Vodka Alla Penne or the Chicken Verde, but everything Ive tasted has been delicious. Very accommodating to large parties as well!

Today I went into Fanaticos for a pickup and got the Spaghetti Bolognese with meatballs. The price was right for the food I ate; it was delicious! Highly recommend this place for Italian food it is the best in DeKalb!

Fanatico is awesome. Who would have thought a great Italian place would exist amidst the fraternities surrounding it? The food is great, and there are great portions, but dont expect it to be cheap. Its worth it, though. Their bread is really good, all the pastas weve tried are great, and I love their seafood pasta dishes. And they always have a soccer game on!

Beyond amazing. We’ve dined in and ordered Eat Street delivery during “stay at home“ orders. Everything we’ve had has been extraordinary. If forced to pic faves: carbonara pasta, buscayola pasta, quatro formaggi, and always the fanatico salad and tiramisu! Highly recommend.

The service was great! Unfortunately the food was not at all near the quality they once served. Very disappointed! The number of people there may also tell the story. Only three tables through the entire lunch hours. I dont plan on returning.

Used to be good. The atmosphere is not great and it is located in the worst neighborhood DeKalb has to offer. Trying to have a nice evening meal you get the smooth Jazz through the restaurant speakers while an older gentleman sleeps to ESPN on the big screen in the main dining area too loud, the house from the bar. It all distracts from what should be a good meal. The chicken marsala and lasagna were good not great. The rolls are good. Given its location I am amazed it has lasted this long. We were the only dining customers (table of 2)

This place is fantastic. Without hesitation I can say that this is the best restaurant in town. It is very chic and cool inside, and the food is SO good! They have a variety of Italian dishes that are screaming to be eaten! There is not one thing I have tried there that has not been delicious! Also love their gerlic bread! Definitely a Good place for a date!

One of the few good restaurant options in Dekalb. Great homemade Italian food and a delicious, sweet red sauce. Good service (even for large groups). Also some authentic pizza options that I need to try out sometime soon. I highly recommend it.
