This morning we had Joes Complete Tree Service here to take down a humongous tree that was really unhealthy and had been dropping limbs on our fence over the years. He also trimmed back our neighbors pine tree (also over 2 stories tall) and took care of a handful of additional smaller tree trimmings and removals. This is now the second time weve used his company (he trimmed the tall pine back a few years ago as well). We cant say enough how smooth the process was, and how happy we are with the job he did. Joe is the owner/operator, so he is actually present on the job, and physically working on the tree removal as well, which is a rare find. It really allows you as the homeowner to relax a bit, especially for a job this size. The big tree that had to come down was in a tricky spot; our front yard was the best access point for removal, but it slopes down toward the tree, and the grass on the slope is always a bit soggy in that area. When Joe came to give the estimate, he explained in detail what the process was going to entail, the type of machinery that was likely going to be needed, and he was fully upfront that our lawn could be damaged in the process. He said he would give me the worst case scenario so that we were fully aware and prepared, but also explained the measures he puts in place to avoid as much damage to the yard as he can. We were fully prepared in our minds that we may need to bring in some topsoil and reseed the area after the tree was gone - none of that is going to be necessary. When you look at our lawn you cant even tell that huge machines had just been driving back and forth over it. Joe put down a path of boards, and was so methodical in the entire process, it was like he wasnt here! Our fence right beneath the huge tree wasnt touched, a little red maple (that we cherish) right under another tree that had to be removed wasnt touched, the grass is completely fine, he even cleaned up all the little sticks and debris, and all in about 2 hours, start to finish! Joes pricing was on point, and he completed the job in less than a week of giving the estimate. It is truly such a relief when you find a company that actually knows what theyre doing, and that you can trust and rely on. I would recommend Joe to anyone, and will be using him again the next time we need anything done to the trees on our property.

They removed a dying tree from my backyard. In about 1.5- 2 hours it was all cut down, stumped was grounded down, and hauled away . They didn’t damage anything. They were careful . I had a great experience . Will use them again to prune a tree in my front yard.

DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL JOES COMPLETE TREE SERVICE! Professionalism at its FINEST! Joe and his entire crew are second to none.We needed some pretty big/tall oak trees trimmed. Some were in our neighbors yard but hung over ours; blocking afternoon sunlight from our yard. We had other tree companies (attempt to) trim them to no avail..they said they were too high. I saw a JOES COMPLETE TREE SERVICE truck on the road towing some of their equipment. I was impressed by the quality of it all so I looked them up. They had rave reviews! Checking out their website I saw that they had a large variety of equipment enabling them to get to any part of any tree. I called and left a message. My call was promptly returned by a very nice girl. She explained that Joe would give me a call when he was in the area to give me an estimate. Joe called, we were home, he stopped by and gave us an estimate and answered some questions for me. He said to call in a few weeks when the trees were in full bloom; cutting them then would ensure they cut everything that needed to be cut. I called Joe and asked him to do the job. The VERY FIRST thing he said was, Thank you for the business Then he explained that he would call the night before his crew would be in the area. I want to tell you that the way he does this is a GREAT idea. He doesnt make appointments weeks in advance; he calls the night before. This way it is a sure thing for both; no wasted time, very little chance of anything happening to change the plan. He and his crew were here at 7:20 am. There were seven guys with him. Joe went over each and every cut to be made. Joe also added in another TWO TREES TRIMMED FOR THE ORIGINAL PRICE GIVEN. (They were my neighbors trees hanging over my property and I hadnt realized how much they were hanging over until after he had given the estimate. EXACTLY the reason he wanted me to call when they bloomed!) The guys started immediately, Joe stayed a while then left. We had seven trees serviced. The ones hanging over my property were my biggest issues and the hardest to get to. I knew the bucket truck would have to back up the lawn. The guys ran boards up my lawn. (Joe had explained this during his estimate and I really appreciated that they would do that!) They operated the truck very smoothly and the guy in the bucket did an awesome job. They even repositioned the truck and he went up a second time just to get two branches that were super high but the biggest thorns in my side! I was SO RELIEVED to have those huge limbs gone from sight...They had been driving me crazy for MANY YEARS! JOES COMPLETE TREE SERVICE took care of them PERFECTLY, taking a HUGE weight off of my shoulders!(Oh and all the while there was one guy who climbed the tree in the middle of my lawn trimming huge branches.)Of you need ANY tree services DEFINITELY call JOES COMPLETE TREE SERVICE (DONT confuse this company with another one with almost the same name!)I cannot say enough good things about this company; from my initial call to them driving away when finished. Concerned about our giant, old, overgrown magnolia tree that stands between us and our neighbors house, we called Joes for an estimate. We got more than an estimate: a detailed discussion of the shape of the tree, the root system, what he thought of a crack in the tree (which turned out to be not as big a deal as we thought), and what could be done to help the tree be healthy and thrive in a safe way for the tree and our houses. They know what they are talking about! Way more detail and attention in Joes estimate than any of the other tree companies. The price was very reasonable, especially considering the education we received about our own tree.We booked on the spot.Great communication between the estimate and job date, especially as this work was being done during that really, really hot week in late July. Great experience! Second time using Joes Complete Tree Service. We had a large branch dangling over our kids playground area after a storm. We were worried about it falling so couldnt let the kids play on their toys. With everything going on right now, the backyard has been their world so this was extremely tough on them. We called Joe and he sent out his crew right away to remove that branch so the kids could get back to playing and then came a few days later to remove some other trees and branches we decided to have him clean up. Joe is great - he will even tell you when NOT to cut down a tree, even though he could just cut it and make money off of you. They sent a crew over and did the job in a timely and professional manner. Unfortunately when they did the stump grinding I had not moved my car and something flew and shattered my window ...I didn’t notice till the next day and I called Joe and within the same day he had an auto glass company come to my house to repair my window. I would highly recommend this company as he proved himself to be and honorable and reputable man.

We had several estimates done for a big job and Joe’s was by far the most affordable. One tree was in the backyard with limited access and Was easily 50ft. What other companies quoted that one tree at was more than what Joe’s quoted us for all 3. They arrived 15 minutes early and had all sorts of equipment the other guys didn’t have to get the job done. They just left and were efficient and professional - it took them less than 3 hours, incredible work. I won’t use anyone but them in the future, and will recommend them to anyone who will listen.

These guys did a phenomenal job! I was given an estimate on a Sunday and the work was done by Wednesday. I had 3 trees removed, 2 stumps grinded and a small tree trimmed. They were in and out, left no mess behind and did a very thorough job. I highly recommend this company.

I had Joe come by to look at my big pine tree on my front lawn in West Babylon.He was referred to me by my father. He stopped by today personally and I told him i didnt want to cut down the tree down but there was some rot and i was afraid of its stability so close to my house.After a few moments he looked at it and told me the tree was fine,it would heal itself, and he would come back in the spring,if i wanted and prune it to make it more healthy. If he told me it had to come down and it was $2 grand,i would of told him to do it,but he was honest and he saved me 2k. You rarely find this type of honesty these days but today i did. It was nice to see. Good guy.

My mom referred Joes Tree Service to me after 3 other companies simply failed to call me back or even failed to show up to review the job in order to provide a quote. Not Joes! Joe sent George (his very well dressed employee) over to scope out the job and to provide a quote. He gave me a quote on the spot which is always appreciated. The price was more than fair. They came the same week to do the work. They even used a blower to clean my driveway and walkway which not only cleaned up their mess but cleaned up my mess of leaves and debris which I was not looking forward to cleaning up.Joe himself called that evening to follow up and to collect payment. I hired Joe to prune trees that were hanging over my house that havent been pruned in years and take down two large pines that were dying. He did a fantastic job pruning my trees; really well done...neat and still keeping a nice shape of the tree. His crew was respectful and cleaned up thoroughly upon finishing.He is coming back in a few weeks when it gets cooler to take down the two trees as he felt his heavy trucks might cause indentation on my driveway if we did it in hot weather. I and my driveway really appreciate his patience and care. We had three trees taken down. Two in our front yard, close to the street and around a driveway demo project - relatively simple task. One in the backyard was deep in the corner surrounded by a six foot high white PVC fence on two sides. The tree was old and stood like an upright wishbone that was already compromised. During the removal - which I was not home for - part of the tree came down on the fence and did some major damage on two sections. Joe was forthcoming about everything that happened and took it upon himself to temporarily repair the fence so that our dogs could take back their yard, and then completely repair it to new the following day. The tree also took part of our brand new maple out. Joe took care of that as well. On top of all of that - he wouldnt take a penny from me until it was all complete. I would without hesitation recommend Joe to anyone looking for tree services.

7/30/16Joe and his crew showed up on schedule, and reviewed all the work that needed to be done. They did a thorough, professional job.A rock buried in the roots of a stump got caught in the grinder and broke an expensive casement window. We had used Joe before and were pleased enough to contact him again, to remove a large dead pine tree from our back yard. There were a few problems getting his equipment to a position where it could be best used, but he took care of them and he and his crew removed a 60-foot tree and cleaned everything up in just over three hours. It was one helluva job.

Had Joes crew come out to remove a maple tree out of the back of my property, and not only were they very reasonable, they were SUPER fast and efficient. it wasnt a central trunk type of tree so it would have taken any other crew all day, but they had it done in a couple hours, and everything was carted away without any damage. He could have just agreed to cut everything down and quote us more but he didnt. He wanted us to be pleased with the outcome and we are. We had two trees removed and two others trimmed. We also had quite a few stumps grinded. The clean up afterwards was even impressive. Id recommend him to anyone who needs his service. Dont even bother getting quotes from anyone else. You wont be dissatisifed.

Joe’s tree service has to be the most honest company I’ve ever dealt with. They came to clear out about 4 large trees out of our backyard. There was a mishap (nothing major) and a snow storm hit us, so he couldn’t finish the job the same day. He promised to return as soon as it was possible, and he did just that. I cannot say enough how honest Joe was.I had him come to give me a price on taking some trees down and grinding some stumps.He informed me that one of the trees was a town tree and to have them remove it. Joe lives up to his reputation as an upstanding businessman, and delivers the whole package. Totally professional in every way, from responding to a request for his services, to the finished product. Joes crew removed a tree in my back yard in a difficult area overhanging 2 sheds and 3 fences of 3 neighbors, with very limited space to work in. Unfortunately, a branch hit my pvc shed, and caused some slight damage. The crew notified Joe, owning up to the fact that a branch they were roping down struck the shed and caused the damage. As I was at work, I didnt witness the incident. Joe left a message on my answering machine that he would replace the shed. I spoke to him later, and he wants to do the right thing by me, and is willing to buy me a new shed.Is this a contractor you want to deal with? Absoluetly! Big time, Joe is the best!!!!! I have dealt with many contractors in my time, but Joe is up at the top of my list of dependable, reliable, and will go to the end to satisfy his customers. I needed 8 trees to be taken down, stumps ground and 4 others to be trimmed. Joe showed up for the estimate listened to what i wanted done then clearly explained what he needed to do to make it happen. And how much it would cost. When the time came to do the job, all went as he explained. Its crazy how much debris piled up but Joes crew was professional and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. My family has used Joe 3 times over the past 8 years and each time with the same result.

There was a dead tree hanging over the roadway from my property and I was concerned for the safety of pedestrians and vehicle traffic. I called Joes complete tree service on December 30th. The next day, New Years Eve, he responded to my home in Smithtown. Although it was not a large tree it did present a hazard as indicated. As I directed traffic, with the help of a chainsaw, joe took the tree down free of charge. Needless to say I highly recommend this tree service.
