I love this place. Blanca does the best strong massages and pedicures for my boyfriend, she has a customer for life. He always raves about how she knows where his pressure points are and has strong hands. I’ve been getting mani/pedis here for a few years now and am always satisfied. Sonia does my massage when I come and I always leave refreshed. The place is clean and nicely decorated.

First of all I’m not the type to do this but had to be said this place is not good …. At allThe quality on the nail polish is like white out no joke I should of had my 4 year olds niece to do them for my me cause honestly wth will not recommend them like might as well bring my own nail polish ?

I go to Minerva whenever I need to be pampered. I had not been there in over a year. I decided to stop by on 4/30/21. I’m very disappointed with my French manicure and French pedicure. I didn’t get my massage during my pedicure. The nail attendant said is an additional $10.00. And my French manicure didn’t last. It’s been 5 days and the white tips are completely gone. Minerva charged me $51 plus I gave a $10 tip. Not to mention I went with my two daughters. Overall I spent over $133.00 plus tips for each nail attendant. Not worth it. I also saw nail attendants watering down their nail polishes. Charging so much money but quality and care is not worth the money I spent. I’ve never had to pay for a massage during a pedicure. I was so disappointed with their new request. I must look for new place. Not worth coming back and getting charged so much money for such poor quality.

EDIT: After this major disappointment, I returned the next day and the same woman redid my nails for me - took off all polish, filed them to match and repainted them all. Changed my rating from 1 star to 2 stars because they did fix them. However, overall I wont be returning, as it was way too much hassle.....They charge $36 for acrylic full set, $46 if gel color.The second I went to look at the regular colors the man at the counter said no no regular color chip 2 days, do gel much better. So I did the gel color....To start with, the woman who did my nails (older woman, square black plastic glasses) didnt clean under the nails nor did she push back/cut the cuticles. Went right to glueing the tips, my nails left unclean. When she began to trim them, I specified how short I wanted them. She only made that one nail that length, then rushed through the cutting/shaping of the acrylic, so they are different lengths and crooked. My pointer finger nail is twice the length as the pinky she started with. When I pointed out one was crooked, she literally said no its not without missing a beat. When it was done I tipped and thanked her but walked outside and cried having wasted $52 on nails that I have to try to fix myself.Never going here again.

The star is for Blanca the wonderful nail technician. Otherwise,The worst experience Ive had in over 20 years of having my nails professionally done. Went for a simple gel manicure, due to the time of closing management made the environment very uncomfortable pressuring Blanca to go faster then suggesting I come back another day. With that being said Blanca was left with a nice tip for her trouble, stress, and effort, and I was left with unfinished nails.....

Covid-19 protection in place. Have been coming here since I moved to DP almost 5 years ago! Ive gone to other local nail salons, and this is my favorite. Its always been clean and the workers are very nice.

Took 3 hours to do my powder nails and then rushed at the end leaving me with purple around the sides and chunks of dried powder. Wouldn’t discount or fix it. Violated COVID-19 guidelines by having 4 people hovering over me to finish quicker. No temperature checked.

This salon had been my go to for over a year until recently when they raised the prices and started to use cheaper products. I had to return twice when the gel polish peeled off my nails.

It took me so long to find a good nail place after I moved to Dix Hills and I’m so glad I found Minerva! It’s wonderful! Jane does an outstanding job on my nails—no one can do permanent French the way she does. And the entire staff at Minerva is so nice and accommodating. My husband will come with me for pedicures and he enjoys those very much. I highly recommend this nail salon!

I was greeted when I walked in early Saturday, right before a crowd of customers came in.I knew what I wanted: I asked for a regular french manicure so I could take it off myself in a few days. After telling the nail tech, Lisa, that I did not want gel, she pushed for the 4th time - while in the middle of already doing my nails - for a gel manicure. I finally said sure so she would stop asking. Before she proceeded, I asked for the 3rd time for a rounder nail shape, as I mentioned in the beginning. My nails are still very square; she said its prettier. (???) I appreciate your opinion, but again, thats not what I asked for.Fast forward to 2 days later, the gel polish is already lifting after Lisa kept trying to sell how it would stay for at least 2-3 weeks.The salon itself was very nice though. Nail polish selection was a little limited.

Hidden beauty inside. You could never think the inside was as nice as it was, judging from the outside. Very nice staff and I noticed that there were both Asian and Hispanic staff, which is a bonus and of course all spoke English. Lovely job on my nails. Not in my neighborhood but I would definitely return next time Im in the area.

I actually like this place. I feel like they may need to up their massage game. But, comparatively speaking, Im going back.

This place is a little out of the way from where I live. However, it’s the only place I go. It’s the best in the area. I try many times to go to places closer to me and I am never happy. The best is the massages you receive while getting your manicure!

Nice place but today the wait was too long. I went with my Mother who had an appointment. I waited for 40 minutes and just left when my mom was done. Too long of a wait.

I’ve been here 3x for mink lashes. First time 😍😍 I loved them a little pricey but the For the Quality of work no problem. The problem came in when I went to get my fill in And my second Full set. Instead of using all mink individual lashes she mix them with clusters which didn’t give me the look I wanted plus charge me full price for individual mink install. I felt that it was unprofessional and scandalous to be cheated out of what service I paid for I will be going back but with someone so they can watch her because she’s very sneaky and untruthful. 😡 for cheating costumer out of the services they pay for 👎

I got eyelash extensions here she did a great job. I find the spa and salon to be clean and a nice atmosphere. Great thing about this place is its good for a girls day as theyre so much space .

Ugh they had me wait next to a nail tech as she was doing some other womans nails. She wanted to motor file my Gel manicure off, which I NOT the correct way to do it with Real nail. I asked to have them hand filled & soaked. She did a quick buff file then put these Large yellow cotton nail color remover clips which kept falling off. Then out of nowhere she ushers me over to the pedicure area without doing my nails. All the time the glow clips kept falling off. And I do not have small hands, I let the yellow clips fall off my fingers & left. Ill never go back

Would not recommend this place. I paid $80. For myself and my 10 year old daughter. I got gel mani and regular pedi. My daughter just got reg child’s pedi. I wish I remembered the name of the person who did my nails. Very slow, rude and unprofessional. I asked her to file my nails square she did what she wanted and how she wanted. Told me she can’t do it. Not sure if she understands ENGLISH or what. My gel manicure was was very lumpy and bumpy. I left there and tipped her $5 out of courtesy, left it with the man at the front as she went to the back. When she didn’t deserve to the tip anyhow. Ohh And boy did she know English then. I left went to my car and she came running outside to the parking lot.. screening hello, excuse me, hello. Tip is 20%.. LADY are you kidding me right now. Ur luck you even got $5 out of me after a horrible job you did. Theses people is all about TIP $$$ and don’t care that they should actually do there job correctly. What a waste! Poor poor service and very unprofessional to be running out to the parking lot. Crazy woman!

An absolute nightmare. I only came here because a friend had gotten me a gift certificate for my birthday. I asked for what I thought would be a simple design. Black with a soft pink accent nail with a heart on it. I was there for over two hours. The nail tech had to get someone else to help her to paint a simple heart in the center of my nail, after they had initially told me you couldn’t do designs with dip powder. (I’ve gotten it done a few times at another salon) Then she rushed through finishing, didn’t hydrate my cuticles, and let me leave with the powder all over my hands. I got outside and took a closer look at my nails and saw the texture was rough and uneven and even had bubbles in certain areas. I went back in and then the owner had to resurface all of my nails which took an additional thirty minutes. And multiple times while she was fixing her tech’s bad job she was kept saying I should have made an appointment and now these other people have to wait. If you know how long a process takes and you can’t do it without disrupting other clients, then don’t take me! I would have gladly come back later had I known it would have been treated like a rush job. Not to mention the massage I was given left me even more tense and in pain than when I started because of how I was being treated. I will never go back. I’m posting this now at 6:30am because I was awakened by back pain two hours ago and can not get back to sleep.

Very expensive..employees are very rude. They talk with eachother, laughing and giggling in their language while you are being services. Definitely not a spa atmosphere and for the prices not worth it!

Worst place ever! I never leave reviews but, had too for this. They charge an additional $2.00 for wicked color polish (unheard of). They are more expensive than any other place around.... and to top it all off my pedicure was horrendous. Polish was completely lumpy!! Never going back!

Very greedy people, spent about $300 and they forgot to charge me $10 and demanded I return and pay it. Some bad service, continuously urging me to stay when I made it very clear I had to leave and they simply didn’t allow enough time for my appointment. Very disappointing.

Always a comfortable, clean and professional experience. Cleanliness is vital to me for a relaxing spa experience so I am grateful to the Minerva staff for their focus on sanitary conditions.

Other than the fact that they are good with the time management this one lady who works there named Agnes didnt think to ask if they were my shoes because they looked to big if a size which is very offensive and then she is measuring my foot with the shoe in front of everybody and laughing about it and it was rude because she asking me all these questions about my feet and what size I am and I wouldnt go back there again to do my toes just my nails 😡

Hated the woman that did my nails. She did a bad job. One of my nails looks lighter in color because the polish wasnt distributed evenly and I even have bubbles in my nails. Instead of properly fixing the nail that slightly hit the nail drying table she decided to swipe a clear coat of polish over it. The dent is still visible. Im very unhappy with my experience.

Please dont waste your time. The owner has a tendency of overbooking and then you end up waiting for at least 20 minutes. He even reassures you that there is not wait, but thats not true. If you get upset, the owner shows no remorse. Its very frustrating. I just had my last interaction and will not be going back.

Didn’t care for the coldness of the guy who greets you and walks around making sure the factory is running. He could be the owner. But that’s not why I am not going back. The reason is that my regular manicure started peeling off on day 2. cost $22 (12 for the mani, 5 for removal of my old gel mani and 5 for tip) today is 1 week since my mani and I just scheduled another mani elsewhere.

Simply the best for mani, pedi and massages!

I walked in at 6:30pm for a manicure after work and literally got pushed out the door at 7:20pm because they close at 7:30 the lady didnt even let my nails get dried all the way!! she just tells me to be careful with my nails because they close at 7:30pm. Clearly customer service isnt their top priority. On a good note they do give great massage hence the two stars I gave them.UPDATE: that same night I got a massage from them I woke up in the middle of the night with a pain in my back and shoulders from the massage that they gave me it literally felt like I got beat up with a baseball bat in the middle of the night not being dramatic. The whole day at work I was extremely sore I didnt know a massage could cause so much pain. So I know it was not done by professionals. Im sorry but I would never be coming back here ever again.
