Called to have my unit checked. The tech was on time and detected a problem with my fan motor. They were over charging me hundreds of dollars for a part and to replace it. Basically for a ten minute inspection they charged me 200 bucks, after agreeing to have the part installed they charged me an additional 600 dollars for the part and labor. I waited a combined 18 days for my unit to be serviced, lots of calls were unanswered, numerous messages left, no response for weeks. Finally, I decided to order the part for myself and it arrived in 4 days. I had the part installed at half the price the same day I got it! When I called to cancel the job, they said the part just arrived, bs!

To start this off, I am one of those customers who ask 100 questions, most likely repeat myself and take 3 days to make a decision and they still worked with me!Sadia who was my office contact answered each phone call and email in a timely and professional manner, even though I had already taken up way to much of her time. Abid came to my house twice for a free estimate and walked me through the game plan on the phone several times before we even signed to make sure we were on the same page and there was no confusion.What really impressed us though was the workers. Rudy and team showed up on time, stayed late, and finished our 3 story house with all brand new duct work/electric in less than a week! They cleaned up each night, asked before they went into a room, made noise, drilled, and couldn’t of been more respectful of our home. They were informative each step of the process and explained why vents, electric, duct work, etc. was placed where it was and gave us options before just finding the most convenient spots for them. We had insulation and additional construction workers in the following days and even they complimented how good of a job was done by the this crew!

Mike the technician was knowledgeable and professional. I was disappointed that I was not able to finance the cost of the repair after being approved for financing. I think it was an issue having to do with the bank. Regardless I was very satisfied with the service I received.

Truly impressed with this business and its employees! Not only was their new HVAC system pricing extremely reasonable...the crew that did the installation was so professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and skilled. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was cleaned up when they left each day, that the vents were placed in a conducive spot that we liked, and helped us understand the thermostat before they left. One of the guys crawled through the tiniest portion of our attic to ensure we were able to have a duct in our guest bedroom, instead of just giving up and saying it wasnt possible.They completed the full install of a 3 ton unit in our 1850 sq/ft ranch within 2 days, stayed a little later on the last day to finish, and everything is perfect! The house is a consistent temperature throughout, no cold/hot spots, and the air quality improved drastically. Its so nice to finally be comfortable in our home during the typical humid LI summers. We just wish we didnt wait 4 years to install central. Thank you for providing such excellent service and having such a professional friendly crew!

We contacted K2 in July 2019 for an estimate to replace our central AC system (outdoor system and air handler). They came out in a timely manner, provided an expert analysis, and gave us a quote that was both faster than other competitors and thousands cheaper. My wife and I also found their representative very knowledgeable and friendly. We decided to go with their estimate, and they were able to come out and do the install within a few days. During an extreme heat wave in July, this was greatly appreciated.Two technicians came out and did the install (a 3 ton Rheem system) in a single day. They did everything as promised, completely cleaned up (K2 also puts covers all throughout the house so nothing gets too dirty), and tested the system thoroughly before leaving. Everything worked perfectly and the temperature of our home is consistently as desired -- even during very hot days. It is tough to find reliable home improvement companies in general in NY, so K2 was a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend them.

Getting someone else to finish this task was extremely challenging for me.I called many companies in the area but they all refused to help me. I found K2 online and this was the ONLY COMPANY that was willing to help me.This for me meant a whole lot! This company was called for seasonal Central AC maintenance, I was quoted $120 on the phone prior. Most advertisements are for $99 from other companies, but the extra $20 is little extra to pay from a BBB accredited company, as well as an affiliation with PSEG iirc. I didnt mind.That said during this Pandemic, they sent two guys instead of one, the other guy looked to be a trainee as the main mechanic seemed to be explaining everything in a foreign language to his helper. During the pandemic, I was uneasy about bringing in servicemen into my home to begin with, I found it to be poor judgement that K2 sent two, needless extra risk IMHO. Maybe Im a little paranoid here, so my bad for accepting two into my home.In any event, my final bill was close to $300 with no explanation beyond the fact that they put in some refrigerant. The technician did not communicate anything being wrong, he constantly spoke in a different language with his helper and I received a bill with unclear handwriting.I called K2 that day, and at least 3-4 more times during the week for an email Itemized bill, I have NOT received one.The excuses ranged from a verbal quote of an extra $35 per pound of 410a refrigerant used (when a few companies I called afterwards seemed to charge $10 to $15 I wish I had been told this upfront before they connected their tank), to the technician was out sick and didnt submit his paperwork until returning to work last Wednesday or Thursday when I was told Id get the email before the end of the day. To the latter, I have yet to receive any emailed bill.Moral of my experience, BBB accredited means nothing, be smarter than me and ask questions while the tech is there, especially when there are additional costs (apparently hidden unless you ask) they dont tell you about. I should have done more research so partially my fault here too.I wouldnt use this company, there has to be a better service.

After having a problem with a leak in my AC unit Abid came out last summer in the blazing heat(when no one else would) to add refrigerant to my system.While he was there he informed me of the fact that R-22 was being discontinued in 2020 and recommended I get a new AC system this spring.This weekend he installed two 5 ton systems in my home, I couldn’t be happier with the professionalism and service standards of this company. They gave me a competitive price but most important they installed the entire system without doing any damage to my home.I highly recommend them and I think Abid is a very nice man that can be trusted.
