After my long time barber shop closed, I decided that I would give Lockharts a try after seeing the great reviews. I scheduled with Matt and when I arrived was informed that he wasnt able to make it into the shop, no big deal at all as they had promptly directed me to go to another barber. I explained to him exactly what I wanted (#2 fade, do not go all the way up with it, do not cut my part in, and trim the top ) and even showed him pictures from the last haircut I received from my previous barber. When he turned me around to show me when he was done, it was the absolute opposite of everything that I told him I wanted. I planned to have my beard trimmed but after seeing how bad he went away from what I asked for, I decided not to let him do anymore.

This place is amazing. All of the barbers do excellent jobs.

Although the cuts might be great, sitting there listening to them BASH cutting children’s hair as you are waiting with your son to get a cut isn’t the most settling thing. It wasn’t just one conversation and done it was an on going conversation. I would have loved to be turned away before having to listen to that.

The best dudes and the best place for a hair cut in the 217. Never had a negative experience. Very welcoming and wont neglect you through your wait when theyre busy. Give these awesome guys a visit and you wont regret it. Tip them well because you wont find a cleaner cut around here for 15$ with a razor finish and some great personality to converse with. If I could rate higher than five stars I would no doubt.

Lockhart’s Barber is not just about the old-school barber shop environment, or the way you smell afterward, or even the superb haircut/beard trim executed with mad skill. It’s about the entire experience, including how you feel when you walk out the door looking your best - 10 foot tall, bulletproof, and 110% man. Worth every penny and a big fat tip... I won’t go anywhere else.

Single best hair cut Ive ever gotten. I dont trust looking this good to anyone else. All the guys are fantastic at what they do and offer fantastic suggestions to make you look the best you can. Theyre also always ready to joke around and talk about anything you want while youre in the chair. Great down to earth people ready to help and break the awkward silence.

These guys are great. I have been for all my cuts in the last two months and even splurged for the straight shave once. If you have the time you wont regret the straight shave its amazing. I asked for a long haired needed cut and he gave me like 2 inches i even showed him a picture and he still messed up in the picture it goes over your eyes and he did 2 inches not gonna say who but it was the complete opposite of what i wanted don’t recommended unless they learn how to base it off the picture and not how they want

This was a fantastic experience for me. Ive never been to a barber shop before and was recommended to this one by one of my close friends. I mean, Ive heard of getting a straight razor shave but never really considered it myself. Why pay to get a shave when I can do the same thing at home? Trust me, its NOT the same thing. Ive never been so relaxed in a haircut salon and definitely havent ever came out of there feeling as good about my haircut, my shave, and my overall self as I did after I came out of Lockharts. You know that feeling when you just have no cares, you just feel great about yourself and where you are - thats how I felt after my cut and shave. Its not super busy, the barbers not hurrying to get you done so she can go sit down and take a break. While youre there, he is doing his best to make it the best experience he can for you, and he delivered!

Do yourself a favor and stop going to Great Clips. Ive been looking for a barbershop like this for a long time in Decatur. Its a clean, consistent cut for less than youll find anywhere else in town and it has an authentic atmosphere (something most businesses are lacking these days).

I could not do without Lockharts, they have such a knowledgeable staff that are always up on what is hip and what is traditional to the degree that you always walk it out there with a satisfactory haircut!

Went to get my haircut here a year ago, and the guy did not listen to what I asked for. I left with the same haircut that every guy leaves with. Recently a friend tried to go here and they were booked all day, so he signed up at 3:30. He comes back at 3:30 and they are still behind, so then he was asked to come back at 5:30. We call at 5:25 to check the wait and they are closed. We call today to check if hes on the list, and not only are they incredibly rude, they say, none of our guys would ever say 5:30, we are with our children by then. GREAT place for straight men to get their haircut by other tactless straight men who give the same haircut to everyone. Would much rather contact their children to cut my hair, maybe they know the difference between 5 and 5:30.

What a fantastic, first class haircut experience. i felt like I stepped back in time to where getting your hair cut was an elite event. The barbers are dressed up, and are true artisans as they are all graduates from the Lockhart barber college. Dont stop in if you expect a haircut in the time it takes for drive thru fast food. This is more like a 4-course meal. Nicely done guys. Thanks for a great haircut and a memorable experience!

I was reffered to Lockharts Barbershop about a month ago by a friend. I went in looking to get a shave with a razor but after sitting in the chair I asked Brandon to give me a haircut as well. I was beyond pleased. Ive been going there steady ever since. I get my hair cut about once a week. Its a awesome shop and Brandon Lockhart is a true gentleman. Makes you feel welcome and like a place you want to return to. I recommend anyone to this shop - I always leave lookin and feelin - so fresh and so clean, clean!!
