For days I have been trying to get the 5 codes on my truck fixed. I pulled up at AT as a walk in and was greeted like a long term customer. They explained that they were backed up but would squeeze me in and be done today. When I was contacted to come pick up my vehicle, everything was explained to me what was repaired. The check engine light was off, all the codes were cleared and the price was unbeatable. Thank you AT. I have found my new repair shop… YEA

Been coming here since 2016, great, fast, friendly service. Harry is an honest mechanic: came in once with my wifes car after someone had quoted her a $300 job for something, he checked it out and said it was fine, they mustve been trying to pull a fast one on her.

I came here for an oil change. After driving my car for about 3 weeks my oil light came on. I popped my hood and noticed a full bottle of oil was left under my hood. They didn’t put all the oil In my car. I called for a refund but they denied it and offered me a free oil change. I will never use them again.

I pulled up told them what I needed and they were quick and efficient. Short enough time for me to get in and get service and get out before my when you were all had a meltdown

My husband brought my car here for an oil change and he said that they’re awesome. I was able to come for myself today and I saw that he was right! The staff is very courteous and they inform you of the different services in case you’re like me and not really sure what they mean. I’d definitely recommend!

I called this place and asked how quickly they could get me in and they said right away for a tire plug. They’re also the cheapest in the area. 10/10 will be coming back for all of my automotive needs.

I just bought a car and i had a post sale inspection done on my car. I am the glad the shop noticed some things that I needed to get done right away. They were able to fit me in right away, only thing was it took hours to get completed.

I paid him over $2,000 to do work to my sUV. I paid him to change the spark plugs and wires. Three time in a row the check engine light kept coming on within a two week period so I took the suv to auto zone they did a diagnostic check and it kept reading misfire on numbers 4,7,etc. I took the suv back to American Tire and Lube and he continues to say nothing wrong with the suv. I took my suv to another mechanic and they looked at the truck and said I needed new spark plugs and wires. He replaced the spark plugs and wires that I paid American Tire and Lube $375 to replace. This mechanic showed me the wires he took out the truck that had been on the truck for years. Don’t take your vehicle to American Tire and Lube because he will take your money and act like he fixed your vehicle when he didn’t!He will have u keep coming back spending money. He charges too much and not doing the work just taking your money

Professional and organized

I am from NC and I decided to visit my daughter who lives in Decatur, my car was running hot and not knowing I continued to drive it. Well my engine locked up. I dont know anything about cars I am 75 years old and my daughter doesnt know anything about cars. So I started calling around and I found American Tire lube Automotive. I spoke with Rachel over the phone and she as able to get me some one who can tow my car to the shop. When I arrived at the shop everyone was so nice! I explained to Harry what happened and that I am from out of town, not only did they offer me a ride to my daughters house, but he promised me that he will find the most affordable engine, and he did! He ordered the engine and with in a week I was on the road. Harry is an angel! He kept in contact with me during the whole process, he worked with me 100 percent! Everyone was polite, empathetic, and kind hearted. I love this place. My daughter has a place to go now for her car, and I will always come here if I am town! Harry and co. have been dependable for any services I’ve need from oil changes to all new tires. Went in for a simple oil change and received a sloppy job of oil beingspilled all over the engine. I didnt realize this until I was on the highway headed out of town and my car begin to smoke so bad I had to pull off the highway and have the car towed home. Today was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a business. My van got stuck in the air which made my wait time from 10 mins to 35 -40 minutes on an oil changeI asked the general manager OWNER if there was anything he can do for my unexpected wait timeHe said NO I asked him why he said BECAUSE I SAID SO.. I’ve never been treated so rudely in a place Of business. He then began to ask me why am I being so difficult only because I had further questions about the amount of money I was asked to pay.. I will NEVER refer this company to ANYONE because the customer service coming from the owner is pathetic

Awesome place. My car needed an oil change bad. They recommended some other services and weren’t pushy about it. I came back to get hose services also because of the great service.

Do not go anywhere else! This place is a rare find in honest hard working mechanics. Not only did they fix a problem prescribed by BMW at $3000 for $800, they treated me with the utmost respect as a customer. Harry had my car sitting in the shop checking for leaks for 2 hours, but only charged me for the hour of work he did on the car. Try getting that kind of treatment anywhere for a foreign vehicle!

Finding a righteous mechanic that isnt going to cause further damage or give you a bill higher than the dealer is a bit of a needle in the haystack in ATL for real. After looking all over Atlantas east side for somebody that worked on American cars (let alone could brave doing something as simple as a oil change) I discovered Harry and American Tire Lube & Automotive. Dude is the truth, knows his business on the cars, and will not cheat you on the price or the labor (and that is important on older American cars that are in their classic years like mine). Youre in good hands with Harry and American Tire Lube & Automotive, so give him a shot. P.S., he works on Foreign cars too, but since everybody seems to prefer foreign his ability to work on American is what makes him stand out.

I arrived at 5:15pm. I didnt realize they closed at 5. I needed a patch for my tire. The guy at the desk was incredibly nice, and said they would do it even though they were closed. Within minutes they found the nail. I was driving out of there by 5:23 and paid $10. I will never go to another mechanic. Even if I move.
