Matt does a fantastic job. I took my dream car here for him to do the brakes and an oil change. It was done fast and most importantly done correctly.Powerstop drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads. Also They were able to use the correct synthetic oil.

Im what you call a shade tree mechanic. I have always worked on my own vehicles because unfortunately I never really trusted other mechanics out there to work on them .I used Matts Auto many many years ago, but again I always did the work myself. Recently I had a problem with my jeep that I just didnt have the time to waste figuring it out. I decided to go to Matts auto and I will say what a great choice that was. Just like many years ago this man is an honest man. He figured out the problem and yes fixed it in a very timely manner and at a very fair price. Their customer service is outstanding as well. Ive used Matts auto thinking I received a great price for the work. Now I have to wonder how much he took from me unfairly. He told me to drop my vehicle off on Wednesday when I called Monday. I was there at 9 am. I didnt hear a thing from him. I called Thursday at 4 was told 2400 for all the issues! Asked why I wasnt called he had too many vehicles to repair, so why have me bring mine in? He told me my back brakes were going to be around 600 they were locked up needed everything. REALLY?? The brakes were fine I had the pads replaced since they had them off even tho I could of gotten more life out of them. The oil pan could possibly be repaired with a gasket after being pounded on. I will never recommend him again sorry to all my friends I sent there. He worked on mine and my sons car. Took thousands of dollars from me which I paid cash because I got a cheaper price. My sons car leaks and smells like its burning oil its worse now than when we took it there. RUN DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE HES NOT AN HONEST MAN!!

I had to have my car towed in to Matts because of a gas leak that drained my tank. Matt was efficient and honest. He gave me a fair price to put in a new fuel filter and repair the fuel lines. The repair was finished in less than a day and a half. He even gassed up my car. I would definitely recommend Matts Auto Service to any and everyone. Id rate higher than five stars, but it doesnt go any higher!

There aren’t enough words to THANK Matt for what he did for us! We bought a classic car and intended on driving it from Michigan to Tennessee, but before we got out of town our fuel pump failed! ( Thank God) The company we bought it from highly recommended and trusted Matt, and they were indeed right! He met us at the gas station where we broke down, diagnosed exactly what was wrong, called the towing company, who came very quick, and had the part first thing the next morning and had it fixed by noon!! Stopped by Matts this morning to have them look at my rear brakes. Let me say first that when I called to schedule an appointment, Matt introduced himself on the phone and thanked me for calling and for my business. Amazing! Went in this morning and they took my car right away and asked why I thought it needed service. Matt and another mechanic (dont recall his name) took me and my son back and showed me the car and what was going on. They said everything looked great and didnt charge me for a thing. He recommended service that I could have done (spoiler alert, Im having him do that service). Instead of trying to sell me something, he laid out what they saw and gave me options. Cant thank them enough, the service was so good Im almost mad that something wasnt broke! Thats the type of energy Im about in 2020!

Matts auto service does it again. I took my 2010 Chevy equinox in for service. Matt diagnosed the problem rite away gave me a very fair price. Then fixed the problem with a great warranty. I didnt even mention my right headlight was out but Matt saw it was out anyway and put a new headlight in my suv with no charge. I give Matts auto service 6 stars out of 5.

I was referred to Matt by a friend. When I first went to him I had just recently changed my cars battery when it died, but then the car kept on dying on me after changing the battery... After going to a couple of mechanic shops they all tried to charge me to $400+ to fix the power cables, when I took it to Matt he told me it was a simple $50 fix and the car has been running strong for over a year now with no battery issues whatsoever. Ever since then he has been my go to guy for inspecting cars or fixing them, if Matt can fix it he will tell you upfront, if he cannot he will simply refer you to someone who can... You just dont get that level of honestly anymore, which is why Id happily spend my money with him.

I took my truck to Matt about 3 weeks ago now gave him a list of what needed to be done with the truck as he wrote it down. After a week and a half.of him having it he forgot about the truck till I called him and said hed get it in the next morning. Then after a week I had to call him AGAIN to find out the price of the repair he told me that its not gonna be a cheap repair and I knew it wasnt considering what needed to be done so i put a deposite down on the repair so.it would.actually get worked on. So i call them again Tuesday what the status was on the truck and they told me Wednesday by the end of the day and i thought perfect until I called around 4:30 Wednesday and I got told Thursday it would be done. But it didnt even get done then and not even Friday was it done until i had to call him again and he finally said it was done Saturday mid day. But when i went to go pick it up 3 out of the 4 things i asked to be done werent done so now Im not going to take my vehicle there again

Matt and his business ethic is unparalleled. I had him perform a pre purchase inspection on a hummer that I was interested in. He hates to see people get screwed from dealers so he performed the inspection for me completely free of charge. He prefers to have a good reputation and ongoing business relationships. He knowingly performed this inspection for me when I told him I was out of state and wouldn’t be able to be a future customer of his and he still didn’t want any money from me. Although I didn’t use his actual auto service to perform work on my car I would highly recommend him strictly on his business ethics alone. Great service. Honest people. My husband & I always take our cars to them. Ive been there probably 6-8 times for various things between my husbands cars & my car in the past 4 years & they find & fix the problem every time! They may not be able to fix it, but they tell you when its not worth fixing as they did with my daughter who brought clunkers to them to check out a couple of times. Both my husband & I both drive cars that were built in 2006, so to be able to get it fixed & not have to buy new cars with car notes is worth getting reasonable repairs! Most repairs have been minor & didnt cost much, but we both had major repairs that still were cheaper than expected. 4 years weve been going to them & our cars are still running, so they get an At in my book!

Greatest auto body shop experience Ive ever had! My wifes family used to always go to a place a few blocks down, but I never felt comfortable there as the office was this tiny cluttered space and the owner/main guy was difficult to talk to.Matts was a completely different story. From the first phone call I felt at ease regarding having some look at our family van, as Matts friendly nature quickly helped negate the anxiety I feel in these kinds of situations. Paula was also really wonderful to work with in the office.Everything was so nice and straightforward. Matt was quick to make sure I knew that hed be using quality parts only, which is more than I can say for some other places Ive been. Not only that, but for rear brake pads and rotors, new calipers, and a flush, the price was almost half of what Belle Tire wanted to charge me! Matt really came through for me in a pinch, and our family once again feels safe on the roads (well, as safe as you can around Michigan drivers!).

Once again Matts Auto has taken very good care of me in regard to repairing one of my vehicles. My 2015 Chevy Spark was seviced 4 times by GM Dealerships to try to correct what was deemed to be a transmission issue when in fact, with the proper diagnostic testing and effort, Matt discovered that it was actually ignition coils that were causing the vehicle to act sluggish and perform poorly. Matt quickly diagnosed the problem and charged me a more than fair price to remedy the situation. Thanks again Matt! I contacted them prior to buying a rebuilt 2015 civic from a dealership near by. Im out of state and needed a pre-purchase inspection and someone to actually lay eyes on the car before I drove the 230 miles to the dealership. Matt was available next day and gave me a very straightforward and honest opinion on the car and the dealership reputation. He not only picked up the car to inspect from the dealership himself but he DID THE INSPECTION FOR FREE. This guy is as honest and hard working and they come. Long story short, drove up to find the car exactly as he described. I made sure to go there first thing when I picked up the car and shake his hand. Give this guy your business! You wont regret going to him! Ive had the car a month now and have had no issues beyond what Matt told me about.

Good place to go to get your car fix What reasonable pricing

This guy Matt, is really a kind hearted person. I am going through tough times and on this particular day, I was frustrated and depressed. I had spent 4 hours at another shop waiting for my car to be diagnosed, and the guy gave me a ridiculous $590 estimate when I said I just wanted my tie rod changed on one side. Long story short... I called Matt he offered to look at my car for free, took it for a test drive, as soon as he sat on my car, he knew what was wrong with it. A set of 2 front tires, he helped me by calling another place, a tire shop ordering my tires, and sent me on my way.. after I got my two tires, my car ran as smooth as ever! Now I can drive safely with my kids in the car. So a big thanks to Matt, and I recommend him 100000%!!!. It really meant Alot for me.

I took my car elsewhere for an estimate just to see what is out there where I got the friends and family discount my price from Matt was at least 2 mortgage payments cheaper.Most of the time when I take my vehicle in the price is less than what he quoted me which is always nice!!!What he fixes, stays fixed and you never find yourself back in the shop because something else went wrong. Ive always used Matt until this year when I was told I needed the complete A/C System replaced. The compressor, condenser and all the lines at the tune of about $1500. He diagnosed it being the compressor; that the bearings were shot. He never offered the solution of just replacing the bearings and pulley which is what I ended up doing for only $50. Its still going strong six months later. Needless to say Im disappointed in Matt. I thought he was an honest mechanic. I dont know if he just didnt want to mess with a low-cost solution but I wish he wouldve at least offered his opinion on it. Immediately he skipped straight to the highest cost option. To replace just the bearing and pulley I didnt even need to break the system so no refrigerant was even added.

Matt does great work and is not real expensive. He even put a bulb in my headlight for free. He is very honest, I would not take my car anywhere else.
