Jet Ski was great! The lady at the front was super nice. The paperwork was not as bad as some reviews that I had read. Donovan and the other guy with the tattoos were SUPER SUPER COOL! They made us feel  super comfortable we all joked and laughed about me falling off. If you can go on a Wednesday or Friday to get the full experience with these two guys please do. They were amazing we had a great time. My family was to go back out one more time. Use this company if you want to rent Jet Skis and you are in the area. They are all good people.

Was able to book a reservation one day before-- a spur of the moment activity for my friend visiting from Minnesota! We had a blast and was quite possibly the coolest thing I have ever done and Ive lived in FL my whole life! Homie at the office was cool, guys at the loading area were solid, informative, and attentive to our safety. Thanks for the good time!!

I came here today with some family and friends and it really was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the fact that is was free range and there was a decent amount of space to do your own thing. The guy that helped us get on the jet skies was really cool and fun. The paperwork and testing part just takes way to long. We even arrived early to fill things out so we could get out on the water on our scheduled time, but still had to wait longer. The testing time and the paperwork was just way to long and not that organized. Not a really big place and then you have to drive down a block under a bridge after you get registered. So the office is not at the same location as the water. The lady at the office was not the friendliest. That part was really not great and made you almost afraid to touch any part of the jet ski but once we got on the water it made up for it. This place does not deserve a full 5 star from me, but compared to other it is a good place! Give it a try.

Had an amazing time with a group of 5. Sucked we could only rent 4 jet skiis at a time but we made do. The gentleman in the office was very kind and informative. Prices werent too obnoxious compared to everything else in this area. Once we arrived to the jet ski departure area the instructor greeted us and was very thorough about rules/guidelines. He also was very observant in making sure riders abided by the rules as well, which made me feel much more comfortable knowing he was aware and alert of what was going on at all times being this was our first time.

We rode for an hour on our girls trip. It was our first time on jetskis. Devon and Drew were so thorough with explaining everything to us and we had a super fun and safe ride.

We rented three jet skis from Short Money while in Daytona and had an awesome time. All the staff were great in making sure everyone knew what to do and what not to do before turning you loose on the river. We had them for an hour and it was totally worth it. If youre going to be in the area or are planning a trip, this is a cool little thing to do with the family for a nice break from the beach. My kids loved it. The smaller ones climbed on with mom and I while our oldest (16) was wide open on his. I know if we go back this will be on the request list of things to do again! I dont have any photos as I left my phone in the vehicle for this one....

I don’t think I’ll ever use this place again. First and last time. Why? Because we had so much fun I’m going to buy two of my own jet skis. Hahahaha. I planned on buying skis but wanted to rent before I made the investment. This place is great. Staff at the dock were very helpful. Skis worked like they should. We had a blast. We did two hours. I wouldn’t do less than an hour if you’ve never riden. You need 20-30 minutes to get your confidence up. All in all great.

Very professional - ran by locals - if planning to go, call early, their prices are fair. My daughter was able to get her license right there and then and its good for a year! They provide safety equipment Highly recommended!

Booked in advance (I highly suggest doing so because others had difficulty booking same day) and all the costs are up front except a $10 insurance fee per person. Had a great time the explain was thorough enough but didn’t take too long and your time doesn’t start until you actually take off on the jet ski. Everyone was really nice and accommodating.

We were running late for our reservation and they still accommodated us and we got to use the jet ski for a full hour! My fiancé and i had a blast! Large open area for jet skiing, beautiful scenery and wonderful staff! Highly recommend them to anyone who wants to Jet Ski at Daytona!

This was my first time going jet skiing while on vacation and it was sooo fun! I was nervous to drive the jet ski but the instructor was very thorough with his orientation. I highly recommend this experience because it was one of the best parts of my stay.

First, the older lady at check in was just rude. Second, the whole thing was bad, once we finally got in the water, we had 3 boats for 1 hour, only got to ride 30 minutes, in that 30 minutes I spent the whole time trying to help/save my daughter from her sinking jet ski. Out of the 3 people working only 1 person brought back 1 child from the sinking ski that help 3 children. I rushed out, to save the other 2 when I got there, another worker was yelling at my kids as he left them in the water. I had to save my child from the water and this unprofessional man child. My daughters ski engine was messed up, she couldnt go over 5mph and it kept flipping over. Then they had the nerve to charge me for the sinking ski, when we just got out on the water. AND they take videos before we go out, which clearly showed the ski already sinking to the back bar. This place is a scam, please do not waste your money, there are plenty of places Ive had amazing experiences with, where u can ride in the ocean and not under a bridge. Let me continue, this man child began to use vulgar language toward my husband, calling him names, tried to fight him and when my husband didnt back down, he ran to his truck and acted like he was grabbing a gun. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. NO PLACE FOR A FAMILY FUN DAY!!! This is not a business, it is disgusting.Reply to response: you are suppose to be professional, but here is a video of my children leaving for the first time with the back end under water ALREADY (blue ski), and my ski (white) right after them, back end out of the water. Calling me a liar, and lying on your reviews should be just enough. The proof is right their.Its a Insurance scam to get new jet ski, because all of your are terrible. 2 were broke down on arrival, and scamming your customers to pay for something they didnt do, and putting children in danger.

From the office staff to the guys who explain dos and dont and get you out on the water. They were great and informative. Family had a great experience and will ride again. Highly recommend if your in the area and looking for fun.

I’ve seen a bunch of terrible reviews on here, and I’m not sure why. People complained about time, you realize you have to have a license and be properly trained on how to ride these or else you can hurt yourself or others? They did a great job at training and test taking for the boating license. The distance to ride is more than reasonable at 2.5 miles, and the employees were super nice and super cool. Couldn’t recommend them more. I’ll be back thanks for the awesome time my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves!

While arriving at short money jet ski rentals, we were disappointed to be greeted with a very unpleasant attitude. The woman working was unwelcoming and came off quite rude and sarcastic. The test and process was timely and not organized. If you don’t have your license, expect to not jet ski until at least an hour after your scheduled reservation. Rest of the staff was friendly and made the jet ski experience itself wonderful. Once you get to the skis, the team is very informative and friendly! Will be getting my boating license else where next year but we will be back because we honestly did have a great time. That woman though, ugh.

The life vests were very outdated and dirty. The company provided sanitizing spray for you to spray the vests down on your own. The staff was nice. Would go back.

This was one of my best jet ski experiences. The prices are fair compare to the jet skies. You will have lots of fun, especially if you go with family or friends. If I could give 0 stars I would. Firstly they had us scheduled for 10, told us to be early. However they didn’t show up until 1010 and weren’t ready to see us until 1030 and didn’t get out onto the water until 1130. The front desk lady was very rude and impatient with us, zero hospitality. The jet ski handlers were unprofessional and inexperienced with the operation and handling of jet skiing. To finish it off one of our jet skis trim fell off 30 minutes into our hour ride and we were not refunded or given another jet ski to ride. I 100% do not recommend this establishment and will never be visiting again.

I was a little nervous about this while reading an signing all the paperwork an waivers but trust me its an experience Ill never forget. I came to Florida to celebrate my 49th last week an spread my mothers aches on the ocean. After having trouble booking a boat my wife found these guys an WOW IM SO GLAD SHE DID. The staff from start to finish was so welcoming an made me feel at home. After doing it I couldnt wait to do it again so I went back the next day. If your considering it DO IT. ITS A EXPERIENCE IF A LIFETIME took my son my wife an my friend out on the back with me one by one for no extra charge too. SERIOUSLY YALL dont miss this you dont know how MUCH YOU LOVE IT TILL AFTER.

Absolutely amazing! The process is easy and they were so nice, Nick is the best really. They give you the test in the office and it’s great you can take it anywhere for a year. So close to the water site and the guys at the water, I think John and Wayne were very helpful and knowledgeable. They’re just fun people. It’s a good location for all levels of drivers. Definitely get your moneys worth. Thumbs up

Very nice and accommodating staff, but the jet skis are quite dated and subpar. Once we got down to the water, we were told there was an issue with one of the skis, but others were on the way. They showed up promptly. Half way through our rental, one of the skiis died (battery). My son rode his ski back in and eventually help showed up and I was towed back in, where I got yet another ski. I wanted to give the owner the chance to respond to me and I even received a text asking how things went. I provided all the details, but no response after multiple texts. I hate to leave negative (but truthful) feedback, but this company had multiple opportunities to contact me to make things right.

Paperwork was a nightmare and we had a appointment for 3pm didn’t get on the jet skis until 4:35 by 5pm it was pouring rain and lightning. We were rushed off and the kid jumped in his work truck when we went to the office to get our $300 deposit back we asked about the 30 minutes we were shorted. The lady was very rude and said we would have to go back to the dock to get a rain check ! Never would use them again!!

Just got back. This was one of the best adventures Ive ever been on. I unfortunately didnt ask for names but the two office personal that helped us and the two gentlemen on the river are awesome people. Great attitudes great service. I knoooow this is a SUPER late post (I was there in July 🥴) but these guys were so awesome, I couldn’t let myself NOT write a review. I took my baby to Daytona for her birthday in July and jet skiing was at the top of her list! I found this company and chose them based on reviews....not one review lied! These guys were knowledgeable, patient and extremely friendly! They made my baby’s first jet ski experience a FANTASTIC one! We’re going back in February and if weather permits, WE’RE GOING!!! I saw a few reviews mention a lack of professionalism. That’s not true. It’s VACATION...who wants a stuffy environment???! I loved that these guys were relaxed and super cool. I felt safe and well informed. Love this company!!!!

Short money is awesome jetski rental for Daytona Beach! My family and have never rode a jetski in our lives and they showed us what to do and we had big fun! Unfortunately this weekend was cold as hell LOL but we toughed it out and had a blast! The owner and his staff were great! Im an amputee and they accommodated me and gave me some great advice being without a leg!

Man what a blast! The lady in the office who took my reservation and helped us through process before hitting the water was excellent! She was so down to earth and laid back. When we got to the location to ride on the water we had to wait for a little longer than normal due to small issues that needed to be fixed on ski. They are mechanical so things will happen but with patience and a good attitudes the guys on the water will get you on one as soon as they can. It was worth the wait! We had so much fun during our 1 hour rental and even seen some dolphins as we were coming in to return the skis... I had a horrible experience with this place. The lady at the front desk is very rude. I called around 12pm to make an appt for 1:45. The lady asked for my card information and I asked her why. She said it requires a card to make an appointment and you won’t be charged. I am currently on vacation and I’m using Lyft to get around. I called back about 30 mins to push the time back later because I knew I wasn’t going to make it on time due to traffic. I called about 3 times getting the busy signal. Then when the lady finally picked up I asked her if we can move our time back she said I need to put you on hold. After about 8 minutes on hold I assume she forgot about me so I hung up and called back I kept getting the busy signal. I check my about and I got a 50 charge to my card for no call no show. So when I then called back she said I didn’t call to cancel I told her I couldn’t get ahold of anyone and when she answered she put me on hold for a long period of time. Her response was “I’m sorry the hold was long but that’s your fault you shouldn’t have hung up” I asked her how come when she asked me for my card information she did not tell me there would be a charge to my card she said “it’s on our website” I said I didn’t book on your website. I booked with you how come you didn’t go over the policy with me she said “I take a lot of calls a day and I can’t be sure that I didn’t tell you” I asked her if we would be able to change our time or come right now she said it’s too late we already missed our appt. I also explained how I took public transportation from Orlando to Daytona to come there. She said she is the only one working there and she doesn’t have time to keep explaining the same thing To me. I told her I will come there and talk in person she said if I come there she will call the cops on me which I thought was really rude because I just wanted to ride the jet skis with my daughter on our vacation. When I came there the lady had a totally different attitude and said she would call the owner can see if I can be refunded which I didn’t want to be refunded I just wanted to ride the jet skis. Now it’s the next morning and I called again and I took two videos of the phone just ringing and ringing for about three minutes before I hung up and I called again and got the busy signal. It is impossible to cancel/reschedule you should not be charged 50$ when they only have one person answering the phones and waiting on ppl. I finally got a hold of the lady and she said she is waiting for the owner to call her back but she doesn’t have time for this because she is the only person working there and she has people to wait on. This lady is extremely rude. I would probably never go back.

The experience was great, so much fun! We rented for an hour and my wife was worn out before that so it was cool. The water wasnt too deep (I know this because while my wife drove us, she tossed us off!) But falling in was actually fun and one of the highlights! The wave runners are pretty fast so be prepared. The guys were very friendly and walked us thru what we needed. If I make it back, will definitely go back to them, and would recommend if youre trying to decide.

Best jet ski rental I’ve ever been to. The staff is amazing and efficient. My friends and I will be coming back here every time we visit Florida. They made the test taking process and paperwork go very quickly and easily for those who were underage. They also accommodated us after we got tired after riding for 3 hours and gave us an rain check for our leftover hour so we get to go back before we head home and have fun one more time!!! The customer service was great from booking to the ski guides. I had a lot of fun and even though it’s only 1 hour, it seemed longer. I was afraid, it was my first time doing it (I’m scared of open water) but honestly the water wasn’t that bad and the other skiers out there made me safe. I’m a little nervous to write this review considering the responses to other negative reviews but here goes nothing! I went here this past week and I expected the long wait time from reading other reviews and understanding the process. Overall, it was just an okay experience. All of the jet skis in the area were quoting the same prices on their websites but looked to would have had nicer jet skis, however none of them were open due to COVID. Our jet ski was incredibly fast which my boyfriend loved but the other couple we were with were disappointed theirs didn’t go as fast. The workers would definitely do a bit better in professionalism, but overall, I think this is just a small business still trying to fully get into the swing of things. We ended up paying 100 to get the insurance which I feel like because of the reviews about prior damage we definitely don’t regret that decision. I just don’t really like to be talked down to or made to feel stupid and that contributed to the three stars for me. I think there’s other things in the area worth spending the money on but if you’re cool with a super lax environment, a little beat up jet skis, you’ll have a good time.

I would recommend this place! Everyone is so friendly and answers all questions! Trust their mission is for you to HAVE FUN! They live by that honestly! They explain rules really well and make the paper work process easy. You get your money worth most definitely! My group of four enjoyed themselves. We all will return. From the taking of the reservation until the end of our trip, every person was very knowledgeable and helpful. Jet Ski rentals are expensive so when paying good money, good service is expected. They met this expectation. The skis themselves look a little beat up, but ours ran great and we had a great time. Highly recommend this company. They charge $5 more per hour than the rest of Daytona Beach jet ski rental companies.

This was my first jet skiing experience. I really had a great time. Checking in took about 30 minutes. Patience is the key. The young men that explained how to use the wave runners were patient with me and made me fill comfortable. I really enjoyed being on the water and will definitely do it again. Thank you!

Great team! They were informative very kind and just overall great people who seem very chill. We originally had an appointment for 4:15pm and they were able to get us in three hours early! They were all very polite and extremely friendly. They explained everything in such a way that even a child would be able to follow. Byron was excellent so understanding and polite! We’ will definitely be back!

I usually always read reviews before going places. Wish I would have. The ride was fun and the guys on the water were cool. The problem is that our reservation was for 3:30 and we didn’t get on the water until about 4:30. If you go here, make sure you don’t care to sit around and waste time on nothing. Jet ski’s were torn up, beat up and the area where you get on the ski’s is rocky and not the ideal place at all. This company has potential, but instead of addressing their issues and fixing them, I see they argue with people about their reviews rather than apologize and try to fix where they went wrong. Very unprofessional. You pay for what you get. Cheap for a reason. When you’re writing back to people’s reviews online, make sure your grammar is correct and you aren’t being rude. People see it. I came here about a month ago and wasn’t even going to leave my opinion on this place until I seen the comments they were making at people. Hope you all figure it out.

Nice location in the Halifax River to ride jet ski’s. The crew was very helpful, the equipment ran very well. Reasonably priced. Not our first time renting with them and won’t be our last!

It was okay. Had issues with the ski within the last 20 minutes. Warning & oil light were blinking & we could only accelerate up to so much (don’t know exact speed because no odometer) but we lost all speed around marker 26-27. Restarted the ski & it was back to normal for 3 minutes & then back slow. We got scared & headed back. Made it back about 6 mins before return time & Nick was just like whatever... also no extra Covid precautions.

My group had an amazing experience today at short money!! Customer service was great!! Thank you short money for a great ride!!! Make sure you account for an extra hour to check in and take a fl boating license test (if applicable) and listen well to the instructions!!! Overall great ride!!!!! :)

We called 3 places and this was the last. The first 2 didnt care about our business. The lady answered the phone, got us lined up and in the reservation list for the day. We showed up, filled out the paperwork and headed to the dock. The guys working the were courteous and friendly. My wife and I shared a ski and when I came in, one of the guys told me what to look for when buying a ski (Ive been planning on one for a while). Awesome service, great time and we saw dolphins.

The best experience ever. Its me and my girlfriends first time in Florida and we knew before we got here that we wanted to jet ski. I couldn’t think of a better place to go too! I wish I had of reviewed them the day I went because I’m getting old & forget names🤪 From renting @ their office to climbing on the jet ski with my 10 year old nephew they turned fear into a fun filled adventure..!!.. Super nice & accommodating & I will definitely be back..!!.. Thank you 😊

We rented 3 jet skis this afternoon and had a blast. The staff was professional and papereork was handled fairly quickly following CDC standards, limiting number of people in the office. The jet skis ran great no problems. Look forward to doing this again. Thank you Short Money Jet Ski

Great experience and great staff! The ONLY thing that is stopping me from giving the fifth star is that the process is slow and long! With covid and all, we had to spend all that time standing outside in the heat but, it is understandable! Once again, the staff was awesome and so was the experience!!!

Went this past weekend and had a blast! The check in process was a little hectic and the lady seemed overwhelmed however the experience was awesome! Jet skiis were fast and they gave us plenty of time and a lot of instruction. Both guys down with the jet skiis were very knowledgeable and helpful! Can’t wait to come back 🤩

Very friendly. Had a wonderful time on the jet ski due to the guy on duty when I was trying to operate the jet ski. Very very helpful. Made my birthday! I am so sorry I have forgotten his name. One suggestion. Please give better instructions to those who walk from the office to the location of the jet skies. Other than that, I had a great first time on the jet ski.

Rented a jet ski and they were great! Prices are reasonable, they check every jet ski before each run, and explain the rules, regulations, and controllers really well. Made my first time riding a jet ski so fun and easy!

We are on vacation and booked a 4hour rental of jet ski with them. There’s 7 of us, including 3 kids. All the staff are helpful and great! We had an amazing time! We’ll be back again next year! Overall professional and wonderful staff!

We had a great time. The two guides were able to put out great instructions on the dos and donts of jet sking . It was definitely a great time had by all.

Easy process. The staff kept my best friend and I well informed and answered all of our questions. The staff member by the shore, Don was extremely friendly and personable. Made our day by cracking jokes while still explaining all safety features. It was my second time at this location, and his first time ever on a jet-ski. Made his birthday a special one. Well definitely be back.

This was a great experience. We were walk ins because we called and the phones were busy so we didnt really expect to be able to get in a jet ski that day. The woman at the front desk was so nice and asked us to come back an hour later.We come back an hour later and she apologized for how crazy it was that day. They gave me the boating test, then gave my my temporary license and we were on our way.Getting to the launch spot was easy and took 5 minutes. We got into the jet ski and just had a blast. We ended up very close to a pod of about 5 dolphins that were just swimming around in the area. It was a very experience and very affordable.
