Just moving to the area, brought my cat in & was told if he wasnt hospitalized he would have maybe a week left. Not wanting him to suffer I was going to care for him at home doing everything that was recommended after being charged over $400 for blood work & a physical he passed away 6 hours after picking him up. 😢 ALWAYS Get a SECOND OPINION, I am blown away that blood work an a physical cost over $400 for my 10 year old Cat. Highly Recommend The Emergency Vet on US1, they were way more honest & sincere. These people took advantage of a fur mommy in need.
Friendly and compassionate people work here. You can tell they love working with animals, and are happy to answer all your questions.
Poor overall service. Would not recommend to anyone with a sick animal. No compassion or care at this facility.
I went here to have my dog put down on New Year’s Eve and they were very helpful and friendly and compassionate so I decided to switch my other dog to this veterinarian. She had her very first appointment today which I scheduled yesterday for 4:40 I called to let them know I was a few minutes late and they let me know that my appointment was yesterday at 4:40pm. I’m a very scheduled person and I am 100% sure she told me today at 4:40 PM. The girl behind the counter and told me that the woman more than likely scheduled it wrong.
Greatest vet. Sweet people. Have Great bedside manners. Always does a follow up
What an amazing staff! My dog was attacked and they took her right in and took excellent care of her. So thankful to this great team!
Was time for our family member for that yearly check up and got 2 shots, had his nails clipped, weighed & gained 3 lbs. along with his temp. which was normal. Was also time for his flee & tick medication for a year & not even got a rabies shot because one last year good for 3 years so that is due next year. So never got to go in with my dog, they came out & got him from the car & in he went. Dr. cane out to the car & asked if their was any problems with him he needed to know about & their were none so he left. Next out came our dog with the attendant & got my charge card for payment, so upon returning to my car with my card & $ 514. 36 was the bill. Please be advised they are EXPENSIVE as h___l only wish of a reasonable VET. in the area so be prepared.
Very caring staff, great vet. Grateful to them. Few years ago they amputated cats leg and did amazing job, today they saved my dog from unnecessary surgery. Kudos!!
I have had very good experiences at Newmans clinic. They basically saved my dogs life and have been great. Communication is excellent and they have been very helpful with my needs.
My fur kids place, great atmosphere and they treat your fur baby with outstanding care, reasonably priced as well!
I love these folks. They are always sweet to my animals, and very caring.
Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance as a new client; once I arrived I was told I wasnt in their system. I guess you have to call multiple times to make sure youre in their system. I would not consider this vet reliable!!!
My experience for past 3 years have been less than satisfactory...calls never returned, will not be taking my dog there for his yearly exam next year.
Hands down the BEST animal clinic ever! The staff is so kind and loving. And Dr. Clark rocks!!! She is a wonderful vet!!
Care for your animal like its theirs and are knowledgeable it seems. A little pricey but you get what you pay for
I took my dog in for blood work and a dental cleaning with some extractions, then day after her recovery, I discovered a huge bruise on her chest area which is the size of my fist, just curious if anyone has ever had this experience, I called the office with concerns, they told me that they will leave a message for the vet and the assistant that was with her, really ? I’m concerned, I took her to another vet .... the new vet stated he had never seen this in the 15 years of him practicing, wasn’t sure what it was from... just wondering what happened to her ... makes me very upset ...
Newmans just merged with VCA, trust me, bad move, client for 14 years..After todays visit, moving to Ravenwood. Prices at Newmans have doubled on top of total Chaos at the Clinic. Sorry, just being Honest.Bye Bye.
Very nice and helpful. The office has covid-19 practices in place .
We couldnt go in with our pet but they were attentive, prompt and gave us the impression of the problem, what they could do and pricing for us to make a decision. That helped calm my wife down.
Newman is great! I had to call them today (Wednesday, 10/14/2020) at around 12 in the afternoon because my cat wasn’t urinating or at least that’s what it seemed like. The staff was polite and friendly with me and got me an appointment scheduled for the day. I told them that I was coming from work which was about 45 minutes away and wasn’t sure what time I would be there. They said that was fine and that I didn’t have to worry. When I got there, I had to call in to let them know I had arrived (COVID Safety protocol), one of the staff came out instantly with my paperwork to fill out and had talked with me about what was wrong with my cat (simba, he’s a cutie ☺️), after a brief conversation, the staff member had taken my beloved cat to get checked up on. Not long after the vet doctor came out to talk with me about what was wrong and the plan to fix it. It was brief, friendly, and professional. I felt very comfortable knowing that they were doing their best to help my little buddy and that he was in good hands. So I had arrived here around 1:45, filled and finished my paperwork by 2:15, and done by 3:00. Very nice timing considering that this was an on the fly appointment time being made. Through out all of this, I was called multiple times to get informed as to what was going on and just overall updated on the situation. Also....to top it all off, it was very affordable considering we even had to get Xrays. So I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a proper place to bring their fur babies in an emergency. Thank you Newman - from Dakota W. & Simba
Great hospital extremely friendly staff!
I cannot even begin to express my gratitude and complete satisfaction with Dr. Clark and her level of care for our cat, Sparxx. Her generosity, compassion, and empathy is like no other! Her willingness to work with our budget during a financially difficult time was a blessing I could have never imagined. Dr. Clark went above and beyond to get our poor little guy healthy again. I cannot thank her enough, she is a class act and an amazing veterinarian!!
Just bought a mini dachshund a week ago and had to make an unplanned visit at Newmans for an emergency visit. Was greeted with kindness and attended to my puppy with a great professionalism. Was kind and courteous and made me feel good about first visit. Recommend this facility to everyone.
I visited the clinic on Beville for the first time today. The office staff, technician, and vet were excellent. I can’t say enough about how caring and friendly they were as well as knowledgeable. I appreciate their sincere kindness for our dog. I will be recommending them to everyone.
I have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about Newman Veterinary Centers, mainly the Daytona Center, as this is where our fur-baby Bentley was treated for years, Unfortunately, after a bit over over 10 Years, Bentleys health continued to deteriorate and came to an end on 18JAN2018. The sincere love and care expressed was not so much a surprise as the staff always showed this. I do feel the need to mention a special thank you to Dr. Neff and Shane, who catered to not just Bentley but myself and family. Until Bentleys last breath, the love and care was there. We also received a sympathy card, signed by the entire staff, that touched our hearts and will be framed. I just cant say enough- Newmans sincerely Treats Them Like Their Own.
Dr Clark and staff are wonderful, caring people...
They are very caring for animals here. I have a 10 year old that I have been bringing here since I got her at the age of 8 weeks. They make me feel like they love my dog. Very reasonable on price as well. All the Newmans are owned by different people. I have found the S Daytona branch to be the best on price and first in care.
Dr Clark operated on our 7-year old American Pit Bull Terrier and saved her life. Sue Ann and all the other techs and assistants have been fantastic in her care. Thank you so much.Dr Ruben is treating our 2-year old kitty and has relieved our minds greatly concerning his condition and is doing whatever is necessary to treat him. Again thank you so much. Our pets mean the world to us and Newman Veterinary Centers is doing a fantastic job in taking care of our babies.
I was truly impressed with the staff at Newman Veterinary Center. I called with questions about my Dog . at 11:45 am by 12:00 noon I was being seen in Newman clinic By 1:00pm ... problem solved and on my way back home. Very reasonable Priced settlement . Staff was great with my dog Cash. Full explanation for my needs with instruction. Thanks Guys !!PS: Cash says WOW The meds are working great for me . Thank you..
Everyone is very nice and caring with my cats. Im establishing a new Dr.here in the area. I think I should be able though to get a multiple animal discount without bringing all 4 pets at once.I have a diabetic cat and find the insulin a little pricey compared to another city within 10 miles. That having being said I will use them long term due to the compassion they showed my animals.Dr.Neff was great.
I came to them referred by another vet and when I called and explained my situation they were more then willing to get my puppy right in even though they didnt have a open spot they are fast and very friendly here makes you feel welcomed. Dennis is the man who helped me out and he explained everything and answered all my questions and concerns. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful as well. The doctor that helped my puppy was great and full of information that I needed. I will continue to take my puppy there and will be thinking on bringing my other dog to them as well.
This is the best veterinary center I have ever been to. We usually go to the one on Beville. All the staff are pros. My pets have received the best care. As of now we are now full time residents. The Newman office was recommended to us and we are very pleased. Very clean and well run...love all of them.
While on vacation, our cat stopped eating .Newman Veterinary arranged an appointment within the hour. They were able to do a blood test on premise and provide the medication needed. The staff was well trained and showed great compassion .
The staff and Dr Rubin are absolutely wonderful!!! Very caring and kind to pet and owner!
Everyone here is so kind and thoughtful. For the past 6 months, my pup battled seizures. They always helped us, gave me great advice, answered my ton of random phone calls, and most importantly genuinely cared for Dexter. Brandy at the front desk, Kaylee the vet tech, Dr. Rubin, Dr. Clark, and everyone else at Newman’s helped Dexter live his best life even after his sickness, and then helped Dexter pass on over as well. I can’t thank them enough. Wonderful place. :)
Everyone at Newman is concerned, caring, gentle. They greet you by name and remember the patients name. Their services are competitively priced and being open on weekends is very convenient. The cost for my cats dental cleaning was estimated at less than one-half the estimate given my by my long-time vet. Ive been very happy with the care my three cats are given and I would highly recommend Newman Veterinary Center.
The office smells clean. Snacks are provided. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They are not pushy when recommending services.
Unprofessional and rude staff poor service.RIPOFF CENTRAL STAY AWAY
Easy scheduling. Very little wait time. Pleasant staff. Great treatment of my dog Riley. Computers were down but they still took care of everything and called me later when they were back up.
My dogs love everyone in the office! They are amazing, and very friendly. The office is clean, and they are sure to answer any questions you may have. They send out reminders via email when your vaccinations are due, and talk you through everything they are doing. Ive never been more pleased with a vet office in my life, we are lifers with this office!
I had some bad experience with several vets in the last few years so when I brought my cat in last year I was very apprehensive. The two beautiful cats and the gentle Labrador roaming in the waiting room immediately made us feel better. The place is very clean, the staff is courteous and professional and I never had to wait more than few minutes. Dr. Lamborn is gentle, and not pushy. You can tell he really love animals. Unlike many other vet I previously used he wont try push for unnecessary expensive procedures. My daughter came with me during my last visit and she was so impressed that she is switching to this veterinarian. Their cost are much lower than any other I have used in the last 6 years. I highly recommend this Newman Veterinary Centers.
There very good,but expensive
Truly the best vet office I have ever been to - The techs are genuinely caring and interested in my pups and their well being. The vets are extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and are completely devoted to my pet when they are in the office with us - we never feel rushed. I have never had the opportunity to use the other offices, but can completely recommend the Daytona office to anyone!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Reasonable pricing. Will recommend them to all my friends.
Today, we put our dear Shelby down due to cancer. As an emotional decision as this was, the staff with Lexi and Dr. Garrett were exceptional.Shebly dog did not suffer, and Dr. Garret and Lexi were exceptionally passionate during this difficult moment for us. They talked to Shelby and even kissed her as if she was their own. Truly amazing to feel that your loved one is in the care of such wonderful professionals. To them and the staff at the Daytona office, I am truly grateful we chose them for our pets need. I can not thank them enough for their love towards my dear Shelby. I would without hesitation, indeed recommend this establish in a heartbeat. We look forward to our continued visits with Buddy to see Dr. Garrett.
Wonderful place for all pets. They do care about each pet. We took two turtles with respiratory infection and the vet handled it so well. I trust the staff. I diffently recommend Newman Vet Center in Daytona Beach. Thank you Newman Vet.
Very nice. Very caring. We had a very nice Vet (Rubin) and tech (Dennis). Thanks so much.
I love Newmans because they took care of my dog very well. They checked her for everything, they gave her treats. I got a lot of care and respect from them. They also call the next week to check on her to see how she is doing. Yes a bit expensive, but well worth it in the end. They are also open 7 days a week. Awesome!!! Because problems arise during the weekend. Plus they are close by. Love it even more.Great Job Newmans!!!
Very friendly, helpful staff. Caley is awesome! Weve seen several vets, all have been awesome with our pups. They let you know what the services costin advance, typed, so that you can make decisions based on what you can afford. Our elderly dog recently damaged his eye from rubbing it too hard. They worked with us on what we could afford, when we could afford it, WITHOUT judgment.
The staff at Newman Veterinary Center in Daytona Beach is very compassionate and caring. My 2 cats are their patients and they arent crazy about being handled, but seem to know that these are caring professionals and relax. I highly recommend Newman Veterinary Centers.
The vet tech pushed the needle for the feline leukemia vaccine all the way through my cat’s skin and lost half the vaccine on the table, then had the nerve to tell me I should bring him back for a booster shot. Before I could find another vet, our baby had an emergency and stopped eating/drinking. During our visit, after the vet noted he had a fever, I inquired if it might be sinus/tonsil or related, as he’s had terrible breath. She never opened his mouth, but assured me that the antibiotics, fluids, and anti-inflammatory they administered would take care of it if that was an issue. Two days later his face was swollen, and Newman’s refused to make space to get him in and kept insisting I take him to the ER. I called a vet tech friend who immediately recognized his symptoms as a likely abscess (apparently a fairly common problem), but Newman still wouldn’t get him in to check it without an official diagnosis. We were able to get in at another vet, and just by opening his mouth they identified a molar as the source of his problems, and the visit there cost a third of what it did at Newman for almost exactly the same meds.We were very disappointed, and will not be returning.
Excellent care for my little Henry.Their kindness and patience make it a much easier experience. Thank you!
I cant see how this place has so many great reviews. This is the third time I have been here and have waited over an hour just to go back to the room where you wait another half hour or so to see the vet. Today I have already waited an hour and twenty minutes in the lobby. If I ever get the hell out of here I am NEVER coming back!! This place sucks.
I have been visiting Newmans Veterinary Clinic for several years now. Everyone is always very professional and sets my mind at ease with any concerns I may have. Dr Neff and the whole staff are caring individuals who take their work very seriously. I will not take my pets anywhere else.
You all are the best!!!
I brought my kitten in for what I thought was just a $32 follow up check-up, a week after his first $110 visit for sneezing a lot. I was asked if I was going to have a chip implanted, and I said it depended on how much this visit would be. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time, and was brought to an examination room 15 minutes or so later. The vet didnt arrive in the exam room until I had been waiting an hour. They had me fill out the chip form (please write legibly), while I was waiting all that time in case I decided to have it installed. Well the Vet installs the chip, before Ive seen the total bill, but I didnt stop him, which was my fault. He and the nurse leave and in a reasonable amount of time, she comes back with a bag of medicine, medicinal treats, and instructions for the chip. Since Im disabled and have a bag in one hand and my cane in the other, she takes the cat carrier out to the counter without having to be asked. Things go South here. A young man comes out and says Ill check you out here. So I pay the $127 for the chip registration, the antibiotic liquid, pills, and some lysine cat treats. BTW, the lysine treats are 4 to 5 times as much as other lysine treats online, and same brand is 20% cheaper online. Then the young man says, he needs my credit card back and says they didnt charge me for all of my medicine. So he runs it for another $20. This charge was never on the bill that I was shown and asked to approve in writing. It doesnt stop there. I am standing with my cane and bag, and the guy says I can leave, and walks off. He doesnt even offer to help with my cat carrier. So I wait in the office until one of the other clerks isnt busy, and ask if she could help. She graciously accepts, but what was ending on a nice note turns sour (not the nice lady who helps), but the office staff in general. As I am driving home, I get about 5 minutes from my house when a call comes through. I have hands-free so I press the button the steering wheel and take the call. They didnt give me all the medicine, so I have to come back to their office and get it. I tell them, I dont want to leave my cat in the car, so Ill drop him off and drive back up there. At this point, I check the bag when I get home, and the form I filled out for the chip is still in there. I check Google, and there is no record whatsoever of that chip ID. So it is useless, without the information on the form being entered into the companies online database. I drive back up and get the medicine, as well ask about there being no information associated with the chip online, and show here my completed form. The clerk says they are supposed to keep the form and enter the information online. So I said the chip is useless without that right? She agrees. When I get home there is an email from Newmans stating, “Past Due (90 days) Health Service Reminder for Chester”. My kitten has only been a patient of Newman’s for eight days. The vaccine in question, is one that he already had gotten from the rescue center I got him from, and gave them copies of on his initial visit. In closing, I originally gave them two stars, because for the most part the staff was friendly, and the Vet took his time and answered all of my questions. But the more I wrote, the more upset I got. If he is better in 2 weeks, I am not taking him back there. If he isnt I am taking him elsewhere.
Ive been taking my pets to Newman since before they were Newman. I go to the Daytona Beach Clinic and generally see Dr. Neff if he is available. He is an awesome Vet. and as long as I have pets and he is in practice, I will be using Newman without fail. Thanks to the whole staff for their professionalism and kindness.
I love this place Dr. Clark truly cares for the fur bby I took my bully sasha here since Ive had her and they all know her by name and show us so much love and care I seriously cant see myself taking my fur bbys anywhere else. The office staff is great and the facility is always clean absolutely great place I highly recommend they are good with all pets of all sizes as they have also cared for both of my pomeranians! I cant say enough about how great they are! Also my sasha woke up this morning and already her skin is looking great! Thank you Dr.Clark and Newman vet clinic my poor bby was so miserable but this morning she had pep in her step Im so happy!
The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Theyve taken great care of my babies.
I think they are all dedicated and up to date. They obviously live and love animals
I waited for an hour +. Reception staff never shared information about waiting times...I had to ask multiple times. Waiting area does not have dog and cat areas - the mix is tricky with some animals. Continued waiting, not willing to waste so much time so made an appointment with another vet. It went very smoothly. I was not impressed with Newman in Daytona at all.
I love the staff, they are so pleasant and professional and always show Bentley so much love..
DR Neff, and staff were so kind, compassionate when my girl had an aspirated pneumonia, they all were so kind to me and my Champion show dog. I wouldnt take my girls anywhere else. Newmans in Daytona is the best in the area.
The staff is helpful and caring. The Doctors explain things so you understand. A FANTASTIC place.
Dr. Neff and staff are great! Moving from another state and trying to establish a good Dr. for your older cat Rocky is stressful. Thank God we found Newmans Vet. Now we bring our new puppy Mila there too. The office staff are so polite and friendly too. Great team at this facility!!! :)
They are very good with animals and very friendly, but they do not know how to hande a dog with severe anxiety. Up until our last visit they would do amazing with her. They got multiple people to try and hold my dog to the ground so they could give her a check up. All of them seemed agitated, and personally I think a vet clinic should understand that all animals have personalities and should know of different actions to take rather than catching an attitude because their jobs were made harder. They will also inform you that next time your animal is brought in that they want it on dog Xanax to Make it easier. I would recommend them to anyone with an animal, but if your animal has severe anxiety, I would look elsewhere.
I absolutely love the Dr.s & staff here, they are all extremely compasionate, loving & caring.. I would highly recommend Newmans in Daytona for all your pets needs..
Staff was very caring and sweet to me and my very nervous dog. I would highly recommend this vet!
Oh, you all are wonderful. Professional, caring, efficient, thorough, and the office is clean and comfortable. I am impressed as before.
They were fabulous with my boy nixion. Hed gotten bet up by our cat and didnt want anyone touching his eye, but the sweet nurse got him to calm down enough to be examed. A few days later they called to see how he was doing! I wouldnt take my boy anywhere else.
ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY HERE - NOT THE ANIMAL!I was there with my dog - who i thought had an ear infection, but her ears were just dirty...I was short $25 and they would not give me the ear wash and let me come back one week later! I was almost sent home by the technicians without the vet looking at my dog - and the Technicial was ROUGH with my 10 pound dog!! Waited an Hour to see anyone! AWFUL EXPERIENCE!! BOYCOTT THIS PLACE!! Who needs a fancy waiting room when its NOT about the animals!! TERRIBLE!!
We love the staff and docs. Always treat our animals as if they are their own
Love everyone here! They care about the fur babies and are so sweet to them.
Took my cat in for initial free exam. My cat had been thoroughly checked by humane society. Yet my cats ears were dirty and they claimed infected, $68. All other pet owners I know say this place is horribly overpriced.
The staff went above and beyond to answer all my questions and make sure my puppy was comfortable and not scared. I was very impressed!!
I love that this location is open on Sundays. The Veterinarian, Dr. Neff, and the entire staff are all great. I highly recommend this animal hospital.
Newmans has always been there when my animals needed them. Emergency visits and most recently when I had to put my 15 yr old poodle down. They were so sweet, cried with me explained everything, called to check on me afterwards and sent a sympathy card. No one is better at pets.
Love my experience here! Very helpful staff and great care.
You couldnt ask for a better veterinarian. The staff is great and everything they do is perfect
I am very disappointed with this place.. for 2 years I have been going to that place and I think is time to stop . Every year I go there and put all the vaccines to my 2 husky. And last year I did the same or at least I thought I was doing the same . They told me that their vaccines were due so I agree in doing it and to my surprise they didnt give my dogs the bordatella.I went to new york and gave all the paper work to the hotel and when the receptionist asked me for the bordatella. I called newman and they told me they didnt gave them that and I ask them if the bordatella was due .. and they told me yes.Why newman didnt gave my dogs the bordatella like the other year.? They couldnt answer that.. I lost the hotel I was staying in new york because I was not able to leave my dog in any dog place because they also asked for the bordatella. They made me lose money and the worst thing is that when you call them they pretend they are not the responsible but they will do all the possible thing to make you lay for unnecessary stuff instead for the things you actually need. Like the flu vaccine they put on my male husky and then called me to schedule the reinforcement. If you go to this place ... it all looked perfect and nice but once you loose money because they forgot to put a vaccine that was due and they knew it.. you will have the same opinion. The worst thing is that this place is not cheap so I pay for their incomplete service and then lost money because of them.
Awesome place. We would highly recommend to all pet parents!
I was not very satisfied with Newmans Daytona beach. My boyfriend and I made an appointment for our dog to get the canine influenza vaccine mid morning. We get there, get checked in and we sit in a private corner setting because our dog gets very excited when she sees new people and pets she can play with. Well about 30 minutes into waiting for the technician to come get Ella, one of the receptionist comes up to us and says that they ran out of the flu vaccine a few days ago. She also mentioned that the day before our appointment they were calling everyone who made an appointment for the vaccine that they didnt have the vaccine. I wasnt upset about the fact they didnt call us. I was more upset about the fact that we waited a little over 30 minutes into our appointment with a very excited 60lbs dog until someone finally came over to tell us they ran out of the vaccine. Yes the receptionist was very nice and apologetic but I feel like this could have been relayed to us when we arrived for our appointment. Its not an easy task getting our dog Ella to the vet and sitting there with her while shes wanting every persons attention and to play with every single pet she sees.
Dr. Joseph Neff, was a life saver for my little Yorkie, her name is sweetie. She had been uncomfortable from skin allergy of some sort. She also had infection in her ears. This is all partial to previous owner that mistreated her and only used her for breeding purposes. She is in a good home now and Dr. Neff was able to giver her medication where the itching stopped and hair grew back where she had been scratching and she is so comfortable now and lively. I definitely recommend Newman Veterinary Center to anyone that has any health issues with their pets.
Staff and vets are great. But, very pricy for just a yearly exam and vaccinations .
The Daytona office takes better care of my pet than most doctors take care of you and I
The staff has always been nice, courteous, helpful, good with handling my pet, and so much more!! Its a great place to go!!
Very caring of our pet and did followup calls after our visit.
Dr Neff and his Excellent Staff saved BeBes Life ! ! !The Team at Newman Veterinary Center are Extremely dedicated to providing you and your Furry Family the very best care you could possibly get in Volusia Co.Thank You for Being there for us...
My visit on 4/25/17 was horrible, they wouldnt give me refills on a prescription I got from Doctor Neff when he was there. For 3 years I got refills for my dogs skin medication Cephalexin to last until my next wellness exam ( 12 months worth at least 4 refills ) to control his skin problem. I am not going to pay $42.00 per office visit to get refills as indicated by Doctor Paige.... ?.....( and is not included in staff directory on website for this office ) no vets name on the invoice. He gets this medicine about 3 to 4 times a year to control the problem. He had a biopsy done about 5/6 years ago and has been on the medicine since. I wasnt told when making the appointment that doctor Neff was no longer there so I was surprised to get another doctor for Rambos check up. The vets assistant wasnt aware that Rambo was to get his yearly shots too. I was told when making the appointment that aside from having him checked for soft stool I can also do yearly tests/shots. When I first got brought into the exam room Rambo was weighed and I dont believe the tech waited for Rambo to properly settle on the scale which caused an improper reading of his weight. I reweighed him at home and his weight was 3.5lbs more than documented by her. When taking his blood sample for testing it took three people at least 15 tries to get a few drops of blood. Then to get a prescription for heartworm treatment for 12 months I had to ask and practically demand ( about 6 times ) that it be given to me. Then there was the issue of soft stool the doctor wanted to run a blood test panel which would make my bill go from $133.00 to $305.00.....I passed. There was a suggestion of Fortiflora yet no medication was given to help him. I left the vets office still wondering what was wrong with my dog. Due to the diligence and experience of having pets for 30 years plus between my wife and myself the stool issue is better. The motto on the wall in their office Our Goal Is To Make Your Pet Happy should be removed. I felt this whole visit was about How Big Can We Make The Bill Before The Clients Leave. I will never go back there, already found another vet ..... 1 star for his shots hopefully there the right ones.........Hide Your Wallet
I took my Doxie Auggie in there, near death.... We were sure he was going to die, but the staff at Newman took excellent care of him. After he was x rayed, we found out he had something lodged in his intestine, and required surgery. $1400 later, our fat boy is back to his old, goofy self. That was a very expensive squeaky toy, and we have learned a valuable lesson. Please, do not hesitate to use this vet....they are AWESOME ! The staff there is wonderful, and they are great with the babies we bring them.
My Ex wife
Always very professional and great with my shih-tzu, Mila!
We were in last week. Staff was great with my chihuahuas. Had difficulty getting the correct heartwork preventive with Lolas size, so it had to be ordered. Im rating a 4 because its been over a week and I still havent heard from them on if the meds have arrived there, because they havent arrived to me either.
Everyone at the clinic shows concern about my pet being taken care of, from check-in to check-out. For us animal lovers looking for care needed for our spoiled children, this is the place to go.
I took my dog in to this office today to get a routine check up and get him a chip because my dog recently got loose and was missing for a couple days. When I explained this to Dr. Landborn he belittled me and a gave me a dirty look as if I was a bad pet owner because my dog (more like our child) accidently got loose. I will never Ever take any pet back there again and would never recommend any one to him. I have never been impressed but stuck by this vet because my dog was used to him.. Dr. Landborn is very demeaning and I would definitely look into a different Vet if you can.
The worst vet in the Dayton Beach area! This vet missed a ringworm infection and claimed it was ulcers or a dietary problem. Because of this miss diagnosis the cat now has ringworm acroos his entire body. I dont expect him to survive and have done everything I can possibly do. I wish we would have taken the cat to a more experienced vet from the start! This vet tried to sell us a thousand dollar operation to remove the ringworms which het thought were ulcers. He charged us several hundred dollars for a miss diagnosis and for a vet not to know what ringworm is...WTF!I wish I coulod post images of all the damage and tell you about the months of pain all this has cost me and my family! Our cat is slowly dieing... at this point everything we do costs hundreds of dollars and takes hours a day to try to help him. All this could have been avoided if the doctor would have owned a simpl blacklight. Our newest vet figured it out in minutes!Unfortunately it is too late for Benjamin... I hope you choose a different vet for your pet. This guy is too young and too inexpeienced to get it right!
My husband and I have 3 dogs, ages 7, 6, and 4. We recently moved to daytona and tried Newmans vet. Although pricing was fair, my husband and I agreed it was a VERY uncomfortable experience and will not be returning. They did not even bother calling when our dogs test results came in.
